Elizabeth E. Frank
Elizabeth Ellen Frank, 85, of 310 Linda Lane, Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, July 5, 2001, at the Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 9, at 10:30 a.m., at Oakhill cemetery, Waterloo.

Mrs. Frank was born on May 23, 1916, in Beloit, the daughter of Martin Adolph and Anna (Soule) Stenberg. She was married on Oct. 24, 1935, in Waterloo, to Harold Frank.

Mrs. Frank was a supervisor at Midstate Shoe Factory, Waterloo. She was a member of Trinity Church-United Methodist, Beaver Dam. She was a member of the Beaver Dam and Waterloo Order of The Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Frank, Beaver Dam; one sister, Marion Frank, Waterloo; two brothers, Richard (Sharon) Stenberg, Beaver Dam, and John (Elaine) Stenberg, Waterloo; one sister-in-law, Francis Stenberg, Columbia, Tenn.; special friend, Donna (Eugene) Frodl, Whitewater; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert Stenberg.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Church-United Methodist, Beaver Dam.

Walter E. Dewitz
IRON RIDGE - Walter E. Dewitz, 82, of 119 Highland St., Iron Ridge, died on Friday, July 6, 2001, at Hartford Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 10, at 6 p.m., at Our Savior's Mission Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge. The Rev. Bond Haldeman will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Mayville. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Mayville American Legion Post No. 69.

Mr. Dewitz was born on Jan. 27, 1919, in Horicon, the son of August and Irene (Graf) Dewitz. He was married on June 28, 1947, to Marcella Franke in the town of Herman.

Mr. Dewitz was employed by Edgerton Construction, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Our Savior's Mission Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge, an honorary member of the Iron Ridge Fire Department, and a member of the DAV Robert R. Seippel Chapter 50. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, receiving a Purple Heart.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Dewitz, Iron Ridge; two daughters, Sandra (Larry) Kohrt, Mayville, and Jean (Ricjh) Binkus, West Palm Beach, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Dewitz, Iron Ridge; one sister, Marian (Harold) Franke, Horicon; five grandchildren, Jacqueline (Chad) Westover, Princeton, Melanie (Leon) Stratman, Jackson, Dustin (Noelle) Bensley, Waupun, Joshua Dewitz, Juneau, and Angel Legate, West Bend; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James; one grandson, Travis, and three sisters, Esther, Alice, and Eileen.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Our Savior's Mission Lutheran Church, Iron Ridge.

The Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, is serving the family.

Alison T. Pfeifer
JEFFERSON - Our beautiful angel of a daughter, Alison Taylor "Ali" Pfeifer, 2, of Jefferson, went to meet all the angels in heaven on July 7, 2001.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at 11 a.m., at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Jefferson. The Rev. John A. Warmuth will officiate. Burial will be in Christberg cemetery, Jefferson.

Alison was born on July 1, 1999, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Scott and Rebecca (Lemke) Pfeifer, and sister of Cody.

Alison was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Jefferson. She was a bubbly two year old who loved saying "Hi" to everyone she met. She enjoyed bubble baths, playing "pretty", doing hair and touching everyone's hair while falling asleep. She especially loved playing with her big brother, Cody.

She will be dearly missed by her parents, Scott and Rebecca Pfeifer, Jefferson; one brother, Cody, Jefferson; paternal grandfather, Ken Pfeifer, Johnson Creek; maternal grandparents, Mary (Thomas) Orval, Johnson Creek, and Robert J. (Vicki) Lemke, Helenville; paternal great-grandmothers, Melinda Wegner, Oconomowoc, and Nora Pfeifer, Watertown; maternal great-grandparents, Robert C. and Dorothy Lemke, Helenville, Helen Lehman, Jefferson, and Francis and Colleen Orval, Jefferson; aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Ardell Pfeifer; paternal great-grandfathers, Franklin Wegner and Louis Pfeifer, and maternal great-grandfather, Fritz Lehman.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Olsen Funeral Home, 221 S. Center Ave., Jefferson.

Warren F. Imme
Warren F. "Bruno" Imme, 74, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, July 5, 2001, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Monday, July 9, at 1 p.m., at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Kurtis Mau will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton, with military graveside services by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post No. 146.

Mr. Imme was born on Sept. 25, 1926, in Fox Lake, the son of Frank and Edith (Pillsbury) Imme. He was married on Dec. 15, 1948, to Alice Klapperat St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Mr. Imme was a 1944 graduate of Fox Lake High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Beaver Dam, the Fox Lake Golf Course, and bowling leagues of Beaver Dam. He was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. He worked for the State of Wisconsin at the Fox Lake Correctional Institution, retiring in 1986. During his retirement, he loved to pick up cars for local car dealers and he helped at Beaver Paint and Glass of Beaver Dam. He also owned and operated the Rite-Lite Tipup Lite Company for over 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Imme, Beaver Dam; two sons, Dick (Lou Ann) Imme, Sheboygan, and Jim (Lynn) Imme, Cottage Grove; three grandchildren Nicole (Chad) Nickolai, Jay Imme, and Kari Ranney; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Klapper, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Wilfred.

Friends may call on Monday, July 9, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Church or St. Patrick's Catholic church.

Paul D. Binder
ROCKFORD, Ill. - Paul D. Binder, 41, Rockford, Ill., died on Thursday, July 5, 2001, at N.W. Medical Center, Thief River Falls, Minn.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at 1:30 p.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 827 16th St., Rockford, Ill. The Rev. Robert H. Rub Jr., will officiate. Burial will be on Thursday, July 12, at 10 a.m., in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.

Mr. Binder was born on July 2, 1960, in Beaver Dam, the son of Duane A. and Judith (Kalvolski) Binder. He was married on June 12, 1982, to Kathy M. Werner in Elk Mound.

Mr. Binder was a 1983 graduate of UW-Stout. He was an engineer for Gleason Cutting Tools for 15 years. He was most recently serving as chairman of the Congregational Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Men's Bible Study, and a former member of the Elk's Lodge serving in many capacities. He was very dedicated to his family and loved gardening and golf. He struggled with diabetes for 32 years.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Binder, Rockford, Ill.; three children, Benjamin, Christine and David, all of Rockford, Ill.; his parents, Duane and Judith Binder, Beaver Dam; one sister, Elizabeth Binder, Wisconsin; one uncle, Delmar (Bonnie) Binder; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Fred C. Olson Funeral Chapels Ltd., East Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established for the American Diabetes Association.

Joyce I. Lackey
OSHKOSH - Joyce I. Lackey, 66, formerly of Waupun, died on Sunday, July, 8, 2001, at the Oshkosh Medical Rehabilitation Center.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Kathy Ulrich will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.

Mrs. Lackey was born on Aug. 4, 1934, in LeRoy, the daughter of Alvin and Pauline (Schultz) Loest. She was married in 1955 to Orvel Lackey in Mayville.

Mrs. Lackey worked at the Ideal Shoe Factory, Waupun, and later stayed home to raise six children. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun. She mostly enjoyed family reunions and get-togethers. Family was so important that she took on raising a granddaughter.

Survivors include five sons, Jerry Lackey, Waupun, Tom (Lin) Lackey, Markesan, Larry Lackey, Oshkosh, Dennis (Amy) Lackey, Hancock, and Ken Lackey, Racine; one daughter, Lynette (Bill) Meinke, Janesville; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Alvin (Dorothy) Loest Jr., LeRoy; three sisters, Florence Hanna, Waupun, Alice (Richard) Gensch, Beaver Dam, and LaVerne (Ralph) Janzer, Campbellsport; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one nephew, Brian Loest.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Wednesday, July 11, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Myrtle L. Parsons
COLUMBUS - Myrtle Lutisha Parsons, 88, of 557 N. Birdsey St., Columbus, died on Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Columbus Community Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at 11 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, Columbus. The Rev. Ann Friedley will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Columbus.

Mrs. Parsons was born on Aug. 30, 1912, in Newburg, Ore., the daughter of Archie and Eva (Judd) Powell. She was married on Aug. 22, 1934, to Orville Wagner. She was later married on Sept. 4, 1943, to Arthur "Bert" Parsons in Milwaukee.

Mrs. Parsons was a lifelong Columbus resident and member of First Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women. She was a member of the Columbus Senior Center.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty (Merlin) Thom, Columbus; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Sylvia Utter, Amery; one brother, Virgil Powell, Spring Valley; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Orville Wagner, in 1939; her second husband, Arthur "Bert" Parsons; three brothers, Donald, Cecil, and Lovell; one sister, Florence Lansing, and four grandsons, Michael, Timothy, Larry, and Bruce.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus, and on Wednesday, July 11, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the First Presbyterian Church, Columbus.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, or the charity of one's choice.

Kiyoka Cuker
RANDOLPH - Kiyoka Cuker, 72, of Randolph, died on Sunday, July 8, 2001, at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Randolph.

A private family memorial service will be held at a time selected by the family.

Mrs. Cuker was born on Oct. 25, 1928, in Fukuoka, Japan, the daughter of Ume Wada Nakashima. She was married on Dec. 12, 1958, to Robert Cuker in Japan.

Mrs. Cuker and her husband moved to the United States in 1959, where they resided in Montana for a short period of time. They then moved to Milwaukee, where she resided until 2000, at which time she moved to Randolph.

Survivors include one son, Gene (Cindy) Cuker, Randolph; two daughters, Darlene Cuker, Schaumburg, Ill., and Kathleen (Brian) Martinez, Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several family members residing in Japan; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, is serving the family.

Lester E. Loecke Sr.
WESLACO, Texas - Lester E. Loecke Sr., 80, of Weslaco, Texas, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, June 5, 2001, at his home.

Cremation was in Texas, and burial will be on July 11, at 11 a.m., in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mr. Loecke was born on June 20, 1920, in Lowell, the son of Edward and Martha (Ladwig) Loeck.

Mr. Loecke served in the U.S. Army with the 252nd Battalion from Dec. 29, 1942 until Jan. 20, 1946, of which 18 months were spent in Central Europe. Following the service, he did many things. He was an over-the-road truck driver, worked at Metal Fab, owned and operated a bar and grill in Clyman, and finally retired from Jung Seed Co., at the age of 62. He made Texas his permanent residence in 1996 after spending many winters in the Rio Grande Valley.

Survivors include one son, Lester "Zeke" (Mary) Loecke Jr., Weslaco, Texas; two grandsons, Mark (Geri) Loecke, Wautoma, and Michael Loeck, Goverton, Ind.; four great-grandchildren; cousins, and a special friend in Juneau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-granddaughter; aunts, uncles and several cousins.

Faye A. Morgan
BELLA VISTA, Ark. - Faye A. Morgan, 61, formerly of Beaver Dam, Horicon and Mayville, died on Friday, July 6, 2001, in Bella Vista, Ark.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, July 15, at 6 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Roy McKain will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Faye Morgan was born on Feb. 24, 1940, in Lowell, the daughter of Elmer and Edith (Brown) Kelm.

Faye Morgan lived in the Beaver Dam area until five years ago, when she moved to Arkansas. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church. She was an active gardener, and an accomplished watercolor painter. She loved antiques and music.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick (Dianne) Morgan, Swisher, Iowa, and Kyle (fiancee Tammy Marquass) Morgan, Horicon; one granddaughter, Logan Morgan, Swisher, Iowa; parents, Elmer and Edith Kelm, Mayville; two brothers, Roy (Alma) Kelm, New Holstein, and Boyd (Maureen) Kelm, Fond du Lac; one sister, Fern (Theodore) Lamers, Milton; Cyrus (Sharron) Morgan, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Cook; an infant brother, Jimmy Kelm, and her second husband, Don Muehlbach.

Friends may call on Sunday, July 15, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to the children's charity of one's choice, or to the family, who will donate them to a children's charity.

Jean L. Shoemaker
WAUPUN - Jean L. Shoemaker, 76, of 100 S. Harris St., Waupun, died on Saturday, July 7, 2001, at her home.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 12, at 2 p.m., at the Waupun United Methodist Church, 199 E. Jefferson St., Waupun. The Rev. Mike Giebink will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery, Waupun.

Jean Shoemaker was born on May 31, 1925, in Waupun, the daughter of the late Henry and Eliza (Nummerdor) Van Hierden.

Jean Shoemaker was a lifelong resident of the Waupun area. She was a very compassionate person, always doing for others and giving of herself. She was a member of the Waupun Ev. Free Church and the Bread Ministries of the church. She had a great sense of humor, and a loving spirit. Her church family was most important to her. She was formerly employed with the Waupun School District in the food service department for several years. She loved to play baseball, and was a left-hand pitcher in the Waupun City League. She always said, "To make memories with the people you love."

Survivors include one son, Ralph Shoemaker, Waupun; one daughter, Anna Lee Sculley, Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren, Chris Aaron (Lisa) Shoemaker, Appleton, Abrahm, Naomi, Noah, and Jeshua Sculley, Virginia Beach, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Aaron Bethke-Shoemaker and Abigail Bethke, both of Appleton; two sisters, Eleanor Giebink and Florence Braaskma, both of Waupun; one brother, Henry (Phyllis) Van Hierden; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Shoemaker, on July 7, 1978; one son, George W. Shoemaker, on April 28, 1981; her parents; three brothers, John, Clarence and Aaron Van Hierden, and three sisters, Aileen Henning, Marion Kindschuh, and Henrietta Berndt.

Friends will be received following the Service of Remembrance at the Waupun United Methodist Church.
