Glen E. Luck
WAUPUN - Glen E. Luck, 78, of Waupun, died on Sunday, July 29, 2001, at the Christian Home, Waupun.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun. The Revs. Richard Lawrence and Kathryn Ulrich will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery, Waupun.

Mr. Luck was born on April 26, 1923, in Waupun, the son of Walter and August (Lenz) Luck. He was married on April 3, 1948, to Margie (Pillbury) Luck.

Mr. Luck was a 1941 graduate of Waupun High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of VFW Post No. 6709, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and served on the church council. He worked as an office manager at Stokley's in Brandon, for over 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Luck, Waupun; two daughters, Suzanne (Robert) Lechner, Fond du Lac, and Cynthia (Tom) Wallendal, Pulaski; five grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda Rounds, Waukesha, and Ruth Larduskey, Baltimore, Md.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends,

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 31, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun.

Joan Wiese
WAUPUN - Joan Wiese, 75, of 5 Beverly Court, Waupun, died on Monday, July 30, 2001, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m., at Waupun United Methodist Church. The Rev. Doris Hansen will officiate.

Mrs. Wiese was born on June 3, 1926, in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Andrew and Adella (Taylor) Grube. She was married on Sept. 3, 1947, to Robert E. Ellsworth. She was later married in 1989, to S. Paul Wiese.

Mrs. Wiese graduated from Springfield High School in 1944 and went on to receive a degree in nursing from Francis Payne Bulton School of Nursing of Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she placed first in the state board exam. She worked as a nurse at Western Reserve Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, and at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio. She and her husband, Ellsworth moved to Waupun in 1954.

Mrs. Wiese began as an amateur genealogist in 1980, and belonged to numerous genealogy societies. Since 1954, she was an active member of United Methodist Church of Waupun and its choir. She had researched and written a yet to be published history of Waupun United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Survivors include her husband, S. Paul Wiese, Waupun; one son, Thomas (Lynn) Ellsworth, Mount Pleasant, Iowa; two daughters, Laurie (Rick) Vant Hoff, Waupun, and Lynne (Andy) Lambrecht, Neenah; eight grandchildren, Hillary, Lindsay, and Molly Ellsworth, Christopher and Alex Vant Hoff, and Aaron, Clara and Addie Jo Lambrecht; one great-grandson, Nicholas Biancuzzo; one sister, Judy (Henry) Portz, California; two brothers, Norman Grube, and Donal (Nancy) Grube, both of Ohio; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends,

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert E. Ellsworth, in 1986, and one daughter, Beth, in 1973.

Friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun.

The family thanks Beaver Dam Hillside Hospice for its loving care and support during the past few months.

Shirley Lovicott
RANDOLPH - Shirley Lovicott, 68, of 502 S. High St., Randolph, died on Saturday, July 28, 2001, in Randolph.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m., at Friesland Reformed Church. The Rev. Ron Vander Werff will officiate. Burial will be in Windsor cemetery.

Mrs. Lovicott was born on Jan. 9, 1933, in Waupun, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Ikert) Willette. She was married in 1952, to Alfred Olson in Madison. She was later married on Oct. 15, 1956, to Gerald Lovicott in Madison.

Mrs. Lovicott was a taxi driver for S & R Taxi in Beaver Dam for 10 years.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Heller, Wisconsin, Larry (Diane) Lovicott, Waupun, and Scott Lovicott, Randolph; nine daughters, Arlene Olson, Beaver Dam, Martha Olson, Madison, Victoria Romero, Marshall, Christine (Luis) Mendez, Milwaukee, Linda (Bruce) Steinbach, Cambria, Shelly Quintana, Randolph, Wanda (Terry) Luecht, Shawano, Debra (Scott) Blasing, Watertown, and Rebecca Lovicott, Randolph; two brothers, Eugene (Betty) Willette, Beaver Dam, and Donald (Dee) Willette, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Beatrice Herremann, Beaver Dam, and Geraldine Sande, Poynette; 12 grandsons, Kenny, Jesse, Robert, Francis, Hector Jr., Luis, Isidro, Pablo, Lorenzo, Justin, Bruce, and Jacob; seven granddaughters, Toni, Brandy, Eujenia, Hada, Melissa, Natasha, and Felica; eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Willette, LaCrosse; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends,

Ward D. Hydanus
FORT ATKINSON - Ward D. Hydanus, 79, died peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in Randolph cemetery.

Mr. Hydanus was born on April 5, 1922, in Randolph, the son of Michael and Evelyn (Bobholz) Hydanus. He was married on Aug. 10, 1946, to Elizabeth J. McCluskey.

Mr. Hydanus owned and managed two apartment buildings that housed UW students before his retirement in 1965. Before moving to Madison he operated Creditors Adjustment Bureau in Prairie du Chein. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Survivors include his life's companion, Audrey Schulz, Fort Atkinson; two daughters, Julie (James) Crow, Madison, and Judy (Joel) Vessey, Beaver Dam; one son, Michael (Patricia) Hydanus, Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Angela (Daniel) Booth, Stephen (Nicole) Vessey, Jeffrey Crow, and Jason (fiancee Nell) Crow; three great-grandchildren, Braden and Theodore Vessey, and Elijah Booth; one half-sister, Genevieve (Don) McCarthy, Fox Lake; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends,

Darrell J. Frank
RANDOLPH - Darrell J. Frank, 62, of rural Beaver Dam, died on Monday, July 30, 2001, at the Continental Manor, Randolph.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m., at Trinity Methodist Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Greg Jewison will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Mr. Frank was born on Aug. 4, 1938, in Fox Lake, the son of Oscar and Ella (Gruber) Frank. He was married on May 21, 1983, to Lila Mae Keel in Beaver Dam.

Mr. Frank was employed as a journeyman electrician and took great pride in farming and raising veal calves. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Beaver Dam, and a member of IBEW Local No. 159.

Survivors include his wife, Lila Frank, Beaver Dam; four children, Monica (Michael) Planasch, Juneau, and Michael (Candy) Keel, Melissa (Thomas) Kasper, and Mark Keel, all of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren, Tiffany and Tieraney Planasch, Jason and Andrew Keel, Kayla and Laken Gunderson, Hannah Kasper, and Katie, Bailey, and Dakota Keel; two brothers, Robert (Bernie) Frank, Beaver Dam, and Donald (Dorothy) Frank, Fox Lake; one sister, Marlene (George) Campnell, St. Petersburg, Fla.; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends,

Marlene M. Attleson
RANDOLPH - Marlene M. Attleson, 65, Randolph, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Continental Manor, Randolph.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m., at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, N1414 Thompson St., Doylestown. The Rev. James Bolda will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Ev. Lutheran cemetery.

Marlene was born on March 13, 1936, in Otsego Township, the daughter of Alfred and Eleanor (Jacobson) Linck.

Marlene was a 1954 graduate of Rio High School and continued her education as a nurse's aide. She was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Doylestown, where she taught Sunday school, and was a member of the ladies aid of the church. She was formerly employed with Beaver Dam Community Hospital, Columbus Care Center, and Continental Manor as a nurse's aide, and she also did some home health care. Most important to her were her seven grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Keith (Laura) Attleson, Randolph; one daughter, Debby (Curtis) Forbes, Randolph; six grandchildren, Joshua, Nicole, Kathryn, and Angela Attleson, and James and Michelle Forbes; one sister, Donna (Maurice) Dowdell, Doylestown; one brother-in-law, Reuben Keip, Sun Prairie; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends,

She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Elisha Marie Forbes, and one sister, Doris Keip.

Friends may call on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. until the time of service, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Doylestown.

Harold L. Krueger
Harold L. Krueger, 80, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at Continental Manor, Randolph.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m., at Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Philip Heyer will officiate. Entombment will be on Monday, Aug. 6, at 10:30 a.m., in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.

Mr. Krueger was born on June 29, 1921, in Oshkosh, the son of Theodore and Emily (Jannusch) Krueger. He was married on Nov. 9, 1942, to Lorraine Walter in Lakeland, Fla.

Mr. Krueger was a 1940 graduate of Oshkosh High School. He served in the National Guard until World War II started, then transferred to the U.S. Army. He served from 1941 to 1945 in England, Egypt, and other places in the European Theater. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Yellow Freight for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Krueger, Beaver Dam; two sons, Ronald Krueger, Menomonee Falls, and Barry (Sandra) Krueger, Eagle; one daughter, Barbara (Ray Kilzer) Krueger, Sussex; five grandchildren, Jamie, Brian, Danielle, Beth, and Adam; one sister, Loretta Galow, Oshkosh; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends,

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Daniel, in 1982.

Friends may call on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Gene H. Wieczorek
HORICON - Gene H. Wieczorek, 72, of Horicon, died on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001, at Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, Horicon (formerly St. Malachy). The Rev. M. Eugene Kinney will officiate. Burial will be in St. Malachy cemetery, Horicon.

Mr. Wieczorek was born on June 27, 1929, in Winona, Minn., the son of Henry and Alice (Wiersgalla) Wieczorek. He was married to Betty Bambenek. He was later married to Helen (Schnell) Powers.

Mr. Wieczorek worked as a signal maintainer on the Milwaukee Road, retiring in 1989 after 39 years of service. He was an officer in the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, a member of Sacred Heart Parish, and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Wieczorek, Horicon; three children, Glenn (Toni) Wieczorek, Chicago, Ill., Gregg (Stephanie) Wieczorek, Pewaukee, and Gretchen (Ed) Lynch, Eden Prairie, Minn.; four-step children, Patricia (Brian) Robinson, Grafton, Mary (Dale) Streblow, Burlington, Jim (Trish) Powers, Horicon, and Dave (Joan) Powers, Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren, Adam, Kevin, and Brian Lynch, and Meghan Wieczorek, 14 step-great-grandchildren, Kathi (Chad) Mancl, Jennifer and Stacy Streblow, Jeff, Krista, and Joey Robinson, Katie Powers, Mary and Tom Cummings, David Jr., Gretchen, Alice, Christopher, and Samantha Powers; one great-grandson, Harrison Mancl; three brothers, Robert (Barb) Wieczorek, Florida, Donald (Joanne) Wieczorek, Winona, Minn., and Jim (Carrie) Wieczorek, Reedsburg; nephews, cousins, relatives and friends,

Leona L. Drake
MAYVILLE - Leona L. Drake, 78, of 42 N. German St., Mayville, died on Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. David Koch will officiate. Burial will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Fond du Lac.

Mrs. Drake was born on June 17, 1923, in Ortonville, Minn., the daughter of Vern and Minnie (Reinke) Saulsbury. She was married on Nov. 15, 1939, to George Finley in Ortonville, Minn. She was later married on Aug. 6, 1946, to Donald Drake.

Mrs. Drake was employed with Maysteel Corp. She was a member of Christian Life Fellowship, Mayville, and a former member of Mayville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three children, Lynda Drake, Nancy DeNio, and Kelly (Janet) Saulsbury; three brothers and sisters, Vernis Pauli, Duke (Babe) Saulsbury, and Kenneth (Gerda) Saulsbury; one sister-in-law, Helen Saulsbury; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends,

Florence M. Pagel
JUNEAU - Florence M. Pagel, 94, of Juneau, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Clearview Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Center, Juneau.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m., at Murray Community Funeral Home, Horicon. The Rev. Paul Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, New Berlin.

Mrs. Pagel was born on May 17, 1907, in the town of Knowlton, Marathon County, the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Simonis) Cater. She was married on July 30, 1929, to Ernest Pagel in the town of Knowlton.

Mrs. Pagel attended Mosinee High School and lived in the Waukesha County area for many years. She farmed with her husband on a poultry farm and hatchery. She was a member of Vernon United Presbyterian Church, Big Bend. She lived in Juneau for 17 years and attended United Methodist Church, Juneau. She was fond of and loved to garden and also enjoyed poultry farming with her husband.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy (Roy) Hargrave, Juneau; five grandchildren, Lynn (Ray) Aumann, Hartford, Linda (Ed) Stimbra, California, and Larry (Diana) Wiczynski, Luane (Don) Blackman, and Lee (Rhoda) Wiczynski, all of Tucson, Ariz; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Edmund (Carole) Wicznski, Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Len (Chris) Cater, Sturtevant, and Willard (Irene) Cater, Mosinee; one sister, Neva (Jim) Case, Schofield; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends,
