FOX LAKE - Wayne H. Schuette, 65, of Fox Lake, formerly of Milwaukee, died on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m., at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield.

Survivors include three daughters, Laura (Lee) Kingsbury, Lisa (Gene) Burk, and Linda (Steve) Zimdars; one brother, Donald (Peg) Schuette; one sister, Lynette (Joe) Piekarski; one brother-in-law; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and one sister, Laverne (Chuck) Kiley.

Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 28, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, Brookfield.

Memorials may be made in Wayne's name to Hospice Care, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.

Truman W. Matthews
HARTFORD - Truman "Jack" W. Matthews, 91, of Hartford, died on Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at the Aurora Medical Center, Hartford.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at noon, at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hartford. The Rev. Verlin Wandrey will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Hartford.

Mr. Matthews was born on Jan. 10, 1910, in Beaver Dam, the son of Otto and Ina (Waddell) Matthews. He was married in November 1934, to Nellie Brooks in Rockford, Ill.

Mr. Matthews was a long distance truck driver during his working career. He was a loving father-in-law and dearly loved his granddaughter and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

He was the dear father-in-law of Alexa C. Matthews, West Bend; great-grandfather of Carolyn (David) Jonas, Jackson; loving great-grandfather of Dalton and Connor Jonas; dear brother of Donald R. Matthews, Juneau; dear brother-in-law of Rosanna Matthews, Waukesha, and Cecil Matthews, Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie, in 1990; one son, Ervin W. Matthews, in 1964; six brothers, and six sisters.

Friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, Hartford.

Theodore A. Korth
Theodore A. Korth, 90, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m., at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Juneau. The Rev. Douglas Westenberg will officiate. Burial will be in Juneau City cemetery.

Mr. Korth was born on Feb. 1, 1911, in Oak Grove, the son of William F. and Augusta (Seifert) Korth. He was married on Aug. 21, 1936, to Ethel A. Moul in Rockford, Ill.

Mr. Korth was a supervisor at the Juneau Hemp Mill from 1935 to 1950. He worked for the Dodge County Highway Department from 1950 to 1975, when he retired at age 65. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Juneau, from his birth and attended school at St. John's. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Juneau.

Survivors include three children, Calvin (Pearl) Korth, Burnett, Kenneth (Nancy) Korth, and Carol (Ronald) Braun, both of Beaver Dam; three sisters-in-law, Edith Zilisch, Myrtle Moul, both of Burnett, and Evelyn Korth, Forsth, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, hisEthel A. Korth, on May 7, 1995; six sisters, Martha (Raymond) Henkel, Elsa Korth, Selma (Edwin) Beneditz, Emma (John) Henken, Esther (Martin) Rupnow, Hilda (Harry) Baerwald, and one brother, Arnold Korth.

Friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Juneau.

Kenneth L. Henry Sr.
MAYVILLE - Kenneth L. Henry Sr., 45, died on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at the UW Hospital, Madison.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m., at the Mayville Middle School Auditorium. The speaker will be Craig Henry.

Mr. Henry was born on Oct. 20, 1956, in Milwaukee, the son of James and Geraldine (Cyr) Henry. He was married on Nov. 1, 1974, to Cindy Contois in Milwaukee.

Mr. Henry was a 1975 graduate of Custer High School, Milwaukee. He was employed by the Mayville School District for 10 and one-half years.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Henry, Mayville; three children, Kenneth Lee Henry Jr., Berwin, Ill., Jason (Michelle) Henry, Hartland, and Nicole Henry, Mayville; his mother, Jeri Henry, Milwaukee; two sisters, Donna Izhmann, Milwaukee, and Christine (Mike) Bills, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; two brothers, James Henry, Virginia, and Craig (Marshelle) Henry, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Caleb and Morgan; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry; his father-in-law, Donald Contois, and his mother-in-law, Diane Brodbeck.

Friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the Mayville Middle School Auditorium.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Henry L. Yunto Sr.
MAYVILLE - Henry L. Yunto Sr., 57, of 401 N. Clark St., Mayville, died on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Columbus Community Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville. The Rev. Geoffrey Hoy will officiate.

Mr. Yunto was born on Nov. 7, 1944, in Waupun, the son of Lester and Gladys (Webster) Yunto. He was married on April 10, 1987 to Arlene Johnson in Waupun.

Mr. Yunto was a 1962 graduate of Waupun High School. He was employed by Mercury Marine for many years, was a truck driver for several years, and was employed at Green Giant, Mayville. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He helped his wife Arlene for the past year and one-half with the Dodge County Salvation Army. He also assisted with the Easter Meal and the Kettle Campaign.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Yunto, Mayville; five sons, Henry (Yvette) Yunto Jr., Mayville, Michael (special friend Amy) Yunto, Kevin (Brenda) Yunto, both of Fox Lake, Keith (Amy) Yunto, Mayville, and Kevin (Tammy) Streekstra, North Fond du Lac; three daughters, Carol (Mike) Vigue, North Lake, Ill., Vicki (Scot) Sprague, Mayville, and Karen (fiance Mark Hanni) Streekstra, Waupun; his mother, Gladys (Arthur) Van Buren, Waupun; one brother, Jerrold (Bev) Yunto, Watertown; four sisters, Judy (Glen) Killam, Fairwater, Sharon (Elton) Posthuma, Donna (Lee) Nummerdor, and Gladys (Daniel) Montsma, all of Waupun; 19 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Yunto.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army of Dodge County.

Anna Syens
RANDOLPH - Anna Syens, 97, of 502 S. High St., Randolph, died on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at the Continental Manor, Randolph.

The funeral was held on Wednesday, Dec. 26, at 1:30 p.m., at the Randolph United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jason Dickerson officiated. Burial was in Randolph cemetery.

Mrs. Syens was born on May 27, 1904, in the Netherlands, the daughter of Gerrit and Aukie (Elgersma) Kooistra. She was married on Jan. 25, 1922, to Martin Syens in Randolph.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Eldred) Syens, and Alfred (Lolita) Syens; one daughter in law; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin, in 1954; one son, John Syens; one sister, Hannah (Posthums) Yahnke; one brother, Peter Kooistra, and all her brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Friends called on Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Randolph United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church Sunday school.

Gloria M. Schoeffel
Gloria Maryann Schoeffel, 69, of 124 Henry St., Beaver Dam, died peacefully with God by her side on Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, after a brief stay at the Beaver Dam Care Center.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Daniel Massie will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Schoeffel was born on Aug. 15, 1932, in Kankakee, Ill., the daughter of Alden and Vera (Salzman) Rogers. She was married on May 7, 1949, to Eugene "Jake" C. Schoeffel, by the Rev. Kleefisch at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Mrs . Schoeffel was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene "Jake" Schoeffel, Beaver Dam; three children, Dorothea "Dottie" Browne, Gail (David) Noe, both of Beaver Dam, and Kathleen (Stephen) Gardner, Middleton; her mother, Vera Rogers; three brothers, David (Julie) Rogers, Ronald (Kathy) Rogers, and Thomas (Betsy) Rogers, all of Beaver Dam; one sister, Carol (Milton) Kohl, Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Jason Noe, Amy Browne, and Jonathan Noe; five great-grandchildren, Jenni, Michael, Corey, Dawn Purser, and David Phillip Noe; two cats, Louie and Festas; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alden Rogers and two brothers, in infancy.

Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 28, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Dr. Ernest I. Hart
RANDOLPH - Dr. Ernest I. Hart, D.V.M., 81, of 502 S. High St., Randolph, died on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

The funeral will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m., at Randolph Community Funeral Home, Randolph. The Rev. Ronald Van Der Werff will officiate. Burial will be in Southfield, Mass.

Dr. Hart was born on Jan. 11, 1920, in Clayton, Mass., the son of Wilbur L. and Mabel Louise (Curtiss) Hart. He was married to Leonora (Tredicucci) Hart on Feb. 9, 1946, in Farmingham, Mass.

Dr. Hart graduated from New Marlboro High School, New Marlboro, Mass. in 1937, and from Oklahoma State University of Veterinary Medicine in 1957. He was in private practice in Pond Creek, Oklahoma, and in Edgar, Wis. Prior to his retirement in 1983 he served for 20 years as a supervisory veterinary medical officer with the USDA Meat and Poultry Inspection Program. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army infantry in World War II serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the John E. Miller American Legion Post No. 146 of Beaver Dam; a member of the Randolph VFW Post No. 9510 and the DAV.

Survivors include seven children, Brenda (John) Bodinger, Bothel, Wash., Geraldine Bensyl, Long Beach, Calif., David Hart, Boscawan, N.H., Ron (Virginia) Hart, Friesland, Ernestina (Walter) Wade, Bloomfield, Conn., Mary Hart, Norfolk, Va., and Patrick (Karen) Hart, Lexington Park, Md.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Arlene Wallace, Clearwater, Fla., Mina Stalker, Clayton, Mass., and Mildred Winsted, Conn.; one sister-in-law, Joan Hart, Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Paul Hart, Partridge, Kan., and Jefferson (Shirley) Hart, Clayton, Mass.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leonora, in 1995, and a brother, Wilburt Hart Jr., in 1981.

Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 28, from 6 p.m. until the time of service at Randolph Community Funeral Home.

Julie McLeod
WAUPUN - Julie McLeod, 88, of the Christian Home, Waupun. died on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at the home.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec, 27, at 11 a.m., at Union Congregational Church, Waupun. The Rev. Michael Bausch will officiate.

Mrs. McLeod was born on Dec. 25, 1913, in Stanley, the daughter of Johann and Gusta (Granberg) Steivang. She was married in 1935 to Ronald McLeod.

Mrs. McLeod was a longtime active member of the Union Congregational Church, Waupun.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane (Harold "Jumbo") Te Beest, Brandon, and Susan (Jerry) Giebink, Waupun; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Lunna Ellsworth, Marie Richter, both of Waupun, and Gudrum Canney, Elm Grove; two brothers, John Steivang and Melvin (Nancy) Steivang, both of Stanley; one special sister-in-law, Grace McLeod, Waupun; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; special family caregivers at the Christian Home, Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Beth Loomans, in 2000; one grandson, Stephen Loomans, and four brothers.

Friends may call on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Union Congregational Church, Waupun.

Mildred Hayes
FOND DU LAC - Mildred "Millie" Hayes, 91, of 265 S. National Ave., Fond du Lac, formerly of Mayville, died on Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at Manor Health Care Services, Fond du Lac.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery.

Mrs. Hayes was born on Sept. 10, 1910, in Mayville the daughter of Stephen and Georgia (Bejelyn) Dallich. She was married on Oct. 28, 1933, to Floyd Hayes in West Allis.

Mrs. Hayes was employed at the Mayville Shoe Factory for many years and then worked at Purity Cheese, retiring in 1975. She was very fond of her cats and gardening. She and her husband, Floyd, loved to dance. She also enjoyed her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. She was known as Grandma Millie.

Survivors include three sons, James (Jan) Hayes, Wausau, Patrick (Karen) Hayes, Woodstock, Ill., and Michael (Lynn) Hayes, Oakfield; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Yovonca (Michael) Polovina, Valparaiso, Ind.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, in 1989; one daughter-in-law, Kathleen; two brothers, Mike and Nick, and one sister, Anna.

Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 28, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville.
