RANDOLPH - Harold Wodill, 89, formerly of Columbus, died on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Continental Manor, Randolph.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 10:30 a.m., at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Robert Wilke will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery,

Mr. Wodill was born on Nov. 18, 1912, in Columbus, the son of Robert and Amelia (Lange) Wodill. He was married on Nov. 23, 1938, to Vernice Berger in Columbus.

Survivors include one grandson, Jon (Beverly) Herold, Columbus; one granddaughter, Dawn Kirchoff, Waupun; three great-grandchildren; one son-in-law; one daughter-in-law, three step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hattie Schallert and Wilma Will, both of Columbus; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice, in 1984; one son, Harland, in 1983; one daughter, Lavon Herold, in 1999; one grandson, Duane, in 1973; one grandson-in-law, Bernard Kirchoff, in 1999; four sisters, Helen Hurkman, Gertrude Bleich, Selma Evert, and Leona Drolshagen, and two brothers, Lawrence and Arnold Wodill.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus.

Joseph J. Feucht Sr.
LEROY - Joseph J. Feucht Sr., 89, of the village of LeRoy, died on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lomira.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m., at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy. The Revs. Charles Wester and Robert Berghammer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's cemetery, LeRoy.

Mr. Feucht was born on Dec. 29, 1912, in the town of LeRoy, the son of Michael and Mary (Schraufnagel) Feucht. He was married on May 27, 1936, to Gladys Lehman at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy.

Mr. Feucht was a lifelong farmer in the township of LeRoy. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy, was treasurer of St. Andrew's for many years, was on the building committee for St. Andrew's School, was treasurer for the former LeRoy School District 4, was a member of St. Andrew's choir for 75 years, a member of of St. Andrew's Holy Name Society, St. Joseph's Society and the Knights of Columbus. He served as the town of LeRoy constable, was supervisor for the town of LeRoy for many years, and was manager for the LeRoy Rock River Baseball Team for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Feucht, Lomira; five sons, Joseph (Gerri) Feucht, Las Vegas, Nev. Alan (Janet) Feucht, Waupun, Daniel (Caroline) Feucht, Lomira, Gerard (Candace) Feucht, LeRoy, and Lewis (Shirley) Feucht, Saint Cloud; six daughters, Carol (Glenn) Haddy, Mayville, Janet (Richard) Weiglein, Brownsville, Claudia Parsons, Clintonville, Marie (Robert) Wondra, Lomira, Terese Ritger, West Bend and Christine (Kenton) Norskog, West Bend; five brothers, Andrew Feucht, Crandon, Anton Feucht, Mayville, Henry (Lorella) Feucht, Milwaukee, Leo (Marie) Feucht, Mayville, and Albert (Alita) Feucht, West Bend; three sisters, Agnes Krapfl, Juneau, Marie Sabel, Fond du Lac, and Elisabeth (Norman) Sabel, LeRoy; 39 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Charles; one sister, Sister Michaelinda; one brother, Michael; one stepbrother, John; one stepsister, Grace; one son-in-law, Roger Parsons, and three grandchildren, Carol Jo, Scott and Jonathan.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, and on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy.

Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy.

Earl H. Giedd
NEKOOSA - Earl H. Giedd, 78, of Nekoosa, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at his home.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. Burial will be on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m., at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.

Mr. Giedd was born on June 28, 1923, in Avon, S.D., the son of John and Emma (Berndt) Giedd. He was married to Arlene Bartelt on April 30, 1955, at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.

Mr. Giedd was employed with Beaver Ready Mix until his retirement in 1978. He served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater. After his retirement in 1978 he moved to Nekoosa where he was a member of the VFW and Teamsters Union.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene, Nekoosa; two sons, Jim (Jeni) Giedd, Beaver Dam, and Steve (Susie) Giedd, Beaver Dam; one daughter, Brenda (Bob) Howland, Portage; two sisters, Mildred Giedd and Dorothy (Lawrence) Burfiendt and one brother, Wilmer (Arline) Giedd, all of S.D.; six grandchildren, Ben and Bill Howland, Elizabeth and Michael Giedd, and Chris and Jeff Giedd; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma, and one sister, Virginia Podzimek.

Friends may call on Monday, Feb. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Ervin E. Huebner
COLUMBUS - Ervin E. Huebner, 77, formerly of Columbus, died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Continental Manor, Randolph.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Feb. 25, at 5 p.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Robert V. Moberg will officiate.

Mr. Huebner was born on Dec. 11, 1924, in the town of Portland, the son of George and Susie (Pfieffer) Huebner.

Mr. Huebner was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion Post No. 146 in Beaver Dam. He was employed as a supervisor for the Rockwell Door and Sash Co. in Randolph for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Linda), Columbus, and Dennis, Greenwood, Miss.; two daughters, Diane (Brian) Gjermo, and JoAnn (Steve) Gallagher, both of Stoughton; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Betty (Ray) Lange, Beaver Dam, and Grace Janowiak, Milwaukee; one brother, John Huebner, Beaver Dam; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Janice and Sandra; four brothers, George, Merlin, Robert and David; two sisters, Dorothy Willard and Marjorie Huebner.

Friends may call on Monday, Feb. 25, from 4 p.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus.

Joan B. Graf
COLUMBUS - Joan B. Graf, 64, of rural Columbus, died on Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at the Hospice Center, Madison.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus. The Rev. Bruce Hennington will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Waterloo.

Mrs. Graf was born on Aug. 22, 1937, in rural Waterloo, the daughter of Joseph and Bernadine (Haberman) Skalitzky. She was married to Dennis J. Graf on Sept. 2, 1972, in Columbus.

Mrs. Graf was employed at Willow Foods in Beaver Dam. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus.

Survivors include her husband and long-time friend, Dennis Graf, Dearborn, Mich.; one daughter, Jolie (Lanny) Stanfield, Madison; one son, Kevin (Jessica) Graf, Westland, Mich.; three grandchildren; her mother, Bernadine Skalitzky, Columbus and step-father, Marvin Kroneman, Madison; four sisters, Kathleen (Jerry) Andler and Ruth Skalitzky, both of Columbus, Bel (Jack) Giunta, Marshall, and Ann (Chris) Kopmeier, Dodgeville; five brothers, Ronald, Joseph Jr. (Mitzi), Larry (Emily), Michael (Tierney), all of Columbus, Neil, Nashville, Tenn.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Rose Brummel, and one brother, Gordon.

Friends may call on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday, Feb. 25. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

Geraldine C. Boettcher
MILWAUKEE - Geraldine C. Boettcher, 81, of Shorewood, formerly of Columbus, died on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at her home.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at St. Robert's Catholic Church, Shorewood. Graveside services were held on Friday, Feb. 22, at Hillside cemetery.

Miss Boettcher was born on Oct. 6, 1920, in Columbus, the daughter of Louis and Rose (Wolfer) Boettcher.

Miss Boettcher was a 1938 graduate of Columbus High School. She was employed at Employers Mutual of Wausau for many years.

Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Bergemann, Boca Raton, Fla.; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus, is serving the family.

Edward L. Neils
HORICON - Edward L. Neils, 73, of Horicon, died on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at his home.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., at Oakhill cemetery, Horicon. The Rev. Tina Scheidt Scheuller will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery, Horicon.

Mr. Neils was born on March 6, 1928, in Colgate, the son of Herman and Meta (Stark) Neils. He was married on May 4, 1963, to Delores Czerwicznik in Milwaukee.

Mr. Neils served in the U.S. Army for two years. He then worked as a machinist at various plants in Milwaukee for many years. He was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Neils, Horicon; one son, Mark Neils, Kewaskum; one daughter, Roseann Neils, West Bend; three grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Estelle) Neils, Sasakwa, Okla.; two sisters, June (Russ) Sielaff, Oconomowoc, and Carol (Ralph) Thorman, Sandia Park., N.M.; one sister-in-law; nieces, nephews, relative and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herman.

There will be no visitation.

The Murray Community Funeral Home, Horicon, is serving the family.

Raymond J. Gernetzke
JUNEAU - Raymond J. Gernetzke, 84, of Juneau, died on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church, Lowell. The Rev. Paul Vander Galien will officiate. Burial will be in the Lowell cemetery, village of Lowell, with military graveside services conducted by the Lowell VFW Post 9392.

Mr. Gernetzke was born on Jan. 18, 1918, in the town of Lowell, Dodge County, the son of Leonard and Leta (Klug) Gernetzke. He was married to Doris Gerbitz on Aug. 14, 1943, at St. Peter's Church, Oak Grove.

Mr. Gernetzke served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe and the Battle of the Bulge in the armored division. He was a member of the Reeseville American Legion Post 190 and the Lowell VFW Post 9392. He worked at the Clyman canning factory and then farmed in the Juneau area for many years. He was a member of the Salem Ev. Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Gernetzke, Juneau; two children, Kenneth (Jacque) Gernetzke, Lake Mills, and Beverly (Gary) Gullickson, Juneau; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Edward (Maxine) Gernetzke, Watertown, Donald Gernetzke, Milwaukee, and Robert (Marie) Gernetzke, Arizona; three sisters, Hazel Kelnhofer, Wauwatosa, Lila Dombrowski, Watertown, and Marion (Richard) LaRocco, Ohio; nieces, nephews, relative and friends.

He was preceded in death by one infant son, Roger; two sisters, Verna Hutto and Irma Buss, and one brother, Harold Gernetzke.

Friends may call on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church, Lowell.

Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church Building Addition Fund.

Hunter L. Lehman
CAMBRIA - Hunter Louis Lehman, beautiful eight month old child of Michael and Ellen (Halbersma) Lehman, died unexpectedly at the Divine Saviour Hospital, Portage.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at Friesland Reformed Church. The Rev. Ronald Vander Werff will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Emily cemetery, town of Fox Lake.

Infant Lehman was born on June 8, 2001. He was a happy and cheerful little boy who loved to smile all the time, and loved to be around his big brother and sister.

Hunter will be sadly missed and mourned by his parents, Michael and Ellen Lehman, Cambria; one brother, Ryan Michael Lehman, at home; one sister, Stephanie Ellen Lehman, at home; maternal grandparents, Louis (Virginia) Halbersma, Vesper; paternal grandparents, John (Claudine) Lehman, Randolph; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many family friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal great-grandparents.

Friends may call on Friday, Feb. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home, Cambria, and on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Friesland Reformed Church.

Alois Wanto
Alois "Pete" Wanto, 78, of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery.

Mr. Wanto was born on July 26, 1923, in Beaver Dam, the son of Peter and Clara (Gorzinski) Wanto.

Mr. Wanto worked in the Milwaukee Ship Yards during World War II as an electrician. He then worked at Metal Fab of Beaver Dam for over 35 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where he was an usher for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. During his retirement he enjoyed being a member of the Beaver Area Radio Flyers, a radio controlled model airplane flying club.

Survivors include one nephew, John (Nona) Brower, Fort Atkinson; two nieces, Nancy (Michael) Hull, Stoughton, and ReaEtta (Jim) Dahm, Sun Prairie; grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucille Brower, and one half-brother, George Wrezinski.

Friends may call on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to Unified Catholic Parishes.

Agnes M. Heckman-Fassbender
Agnes M. Heckman-Fassbender, 95, formerly of Horicon, died on Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m., at Murray Community Funeral Home, Horicon. The Rev. Dennis Sundell will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery, Horicon.

Mrs. Heckman-Fassbender was born on Oct. 30, 1906, in the town of Oak Grove, Dodge County, the daughter of Paul and Theresia (Koepsell) Moericke. She was married on March 29, 1940, in Horicon, to Richard R. Heckman. She was married on June 4, 1983, in Horicon, to Joseph L. Fassbender.

Mrs. Heckman-Fassbender was a resident of Horicon since 1927. She worked at the Colonial Flower Shop and Masterprint in Horicon. She was a member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church, honorary member and past president of the Ladies Guild.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann (Gary) Pegelow, Waukesha; two grandsons, John (Samantha) Pegelow, Verona, and Andrew (Kathy) Pegelow, Waukesha; one step-son, Patrick (Elaine) Fassbender, Merton; one stepdaughter-in-law, Mary Ann Fassbender, Milwaukee; three step-grandchildren, Daniel, Susan and Shelby; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Heckman, on Sept. 5, 1966; her second husband, Joseph Fassbender, in March 1991; two brothers, Gerhardt and Walter Moericke, and one sister, Martha Leitzke.

Friends may call on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Horicon.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church.
