GUERIN Thomas R. "Spike" Jr., 47, Green Bay. Visitation at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

BEISPIEL, Julie Miller, 87, born on Aug. 21, 1915, passed away following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil. Julie was an active member of Cnesses Israel Synagogue, Sisterhood and Hadassah. She was a warm and loving person who enjoyed family and friends.

Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home East is in charge of arrangements. The funeral, officiated by Rabbi Sidney Vineburg, will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at 12:30 p.m. with interment at Fort Howard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to Cnesses Israel Synagogue or Hadassah.

HUDSON, Jean T., 80, Green Bay. Blaney Funeral Home assisted the family. Survivors include her husband, George; her son, George Jr. (Judy) Hudson, Green Bay; her daughter Debra (Pete) Roskom, Green Bay; three granchildren; one sister, Lilian Golonka.

PETRIE, Eleanor Mary (Hanaway), 90, former Greenleaf resident, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, in Richmond, Texas. The daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Powers) Hanaway was born April 30, 1912, in the town of Askeaton. On Oct. 15, 1938, she married Elroy (Roy) Petrie at St. Patrick's Church, Askeaton.

Prior to marriage, she attended the State of Wisconsin Teachers College in Stevens Point and taught elementary school in Wisconsin and South Dakota. Roy and Eleanor built and operated Petrie's Bowling and Bar in Greenleaf for 29 years. Roy preceded her in death on April 16, 1992.

She will be missed by the surviving members of her family, including two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeanette DeFeo, Waynesville, Mo., Mary Lee and Norman Horner, Richmond, Texas; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Ronayne, Aberdeen, S.D., one sister-in-law, Arlene Hanaway, Greenleaf; cousins; nieces; and nephews.

Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of service at St. Francis Catholic Church, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Tony Dolski officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere.

DANZ, Dorothy "Dottie" M. 82, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002. Dorothy was born on April 22, 1920, in Iron Mountain, Mich., the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Strutz) Boucher. She was a 1938 graduate of Green Bay West High School. On Nov. 12, 1940, Dorothy married Norman A. Danz in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1990. Dorothy was employed at St. Vincent Hospital until her retirement. She and her husband Norman were charter members of Pilgrim Congregational Church. Dorothy assisted with blood drives for the Red Cross, ran election polls and helped the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Brownies. She was an active member of the Lions Club, Elks Club, and Eastern Star. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, fishing, crocheting and other types of needlework. She also enjoyed cooking and was known for her booyah, pasties and chili.

Dorothy is survived by five children and their spouses, Mary (Bruce) Zahn, Racine; Lee (Ronald) Sternard, Cedar Grove; Carol (Allyn) Page, Green Bay; William (Cheryl) Danz, Abrams; David (Tammy) Danz, Brussels; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Boucher and Lucille Libert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, James N. Danz; one sister, Barbara "Irene" Basten; and two brothers, Francis Boucher and Robert Boucher.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Schauer and Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 991 Pilgrim Way. Funeral service 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Gary Pierce officiating. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.

SKENANDORE, Violet, 67, Green Bay. Visitation noon Wednesday at Malcore Funeral Home, University Avenue and Baird Street. Memorial service 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband, Vernon, Green Bay; six children, Robin Doyen, Mathilda (Robert) Godfrey, Green Bay, Christina (Mike) Skenandore, Oneida, Lila (Danny) Skenandore, Green Bay, Viola (Kurt) Skenandore, Little Rapids, Vernon Jr. and Stacey Skenandore, Marinette; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

SOLPER, Lenore, 74, 1189 Ninth St., Green Bay, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at her home. She was born on March 19, 1928, in Green Bay, to the late Walter and Lillian (Isenard) Delmont. She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1946. On May 17, 1952, she married Ken Solper at Grace Presbyterian Church. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in May. Lenore loved spending time with her family and enjoyed playing cards and reading. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Ken; her children and their spouses, Jeff and Kathy Solper, Brookfield, Dave Solper, Jennifer Solper, Jim and Andrea Solper, all of Green Bay; her four grandchildren, Danny and Sarah Solper, Green Bay, Lindsay and Dylan Solper, Brookfield; a special friend, Marguerite Lussenden; nieces, Lisa Kolbusz, Linda Michael, Laurie Schmitt; a brother-in-law, Norman Kolbusz, all of Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lois E. Kolbusz. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may also call at First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Ashland Ave., after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Dr. Steve Shive and the Rev. Gene Crooks officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

A memorial fund is being established at First Presbyterian Church in Lenore's memory.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of St. Mary's Hospital and Unity Hospice for the loving care given to Lenore. They thank the many friends, relatives and members of First Presbyterian Church for their kind support, prayers and concern.

STURDIVANT, Carl, 85, De Pere, passed away on Sept. 20, 2002, at a local hospital after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born on April 9, 1917, to Frank and Anna Sturdivant. He graduated from Nicolet High School and St. Norbert College. After college, Carl served in the U.S. Army during WW II and played in the Army band at Fort Sheridan, Ill. He returned to Green Bay after the war and married his sweetheart, Cleo, on Feb. 28, 1946, at St. Mary's Church in Luxemburg.

Carl taught history and music at the Green Bay Correctional Institute until his retirement in 1978. After retirement, he worked several years at St. Norbert College. He had a popular dance band called the "Balladaires" which played at proms, homecomings, weddings and other parties for over 20 years. He was also active in his community. He played in the Packer Lumberjack Band and was director of the bands that played for events at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena. He was director of the Men's Choir at St. Boniface Church for more than 30 years, past President of the De Pere Little League, member of the De Pere Kiwanis, the Kiwanis Golden Keys, the St. Norbert College Alumni Association and St. Francis Parish.

Carl enjoyed music, golf, watching the Packers, and the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Michael (Diane,) Green Bay, and Peter, Chicago; four grandchildren, Stacie (Randy) Bailey, Sun Prairie, Craig Sturdivant, Green Bay, Kipp Sturdivant, De Pere, Nicholas Sturdivant, Green Bay; one sister, Lola Rebman, De Pere, three great-grandchildren, Madeline, Owen and Sophia Bailey, Sun Prairie; plus many more nieces, nephews and friends.

His wife, Cleo, and one sister, Hazel Miller, preceded him in death. Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, on Tuesday after 10 a.m. until time of the mass. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. V. Anthony Dolski officiating.

Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family with arrangements.
