Dennis N. Rivers
Dennis N. Rivers, 51, of 147 Judson Drive, Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at his home.

The funeral will be held on Monday, June 10, at 6:30 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. Mr. Joseph Kazmarek and Mr. David Katsma will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton.

Mr. Rivers was born on May 12, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Lyle and Bernice (Rogers) Rivers. He was married on Sept. 9, 1972, to Christine Bauer in Beaver Dam.

Mr. Rivers was a graduate of West High School, Green Bay, and Trinity Bible School, North Dakota. He was employed with Willow Foods for over 20 years, retiring in September 2000. He was a member of the New Life Covenant Fellowship, Beaver Dam, and played his guitar in the worship team. He was known for his gift of music. He played in the Crossroads Band and ministered with his guitar and singing throughout the area.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Rivers, Beaver Dam; one daughter, Priscilla (Scott) Hubbard, Beaver Dam; one son, Timothy (Jean) Rivers, Randolph; parents, Lyle and Bernice Rivers, Green Bay; one brother, Phil Rivers, Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Cheryl Cornish, Enid, Okla.; one sister-in-law, Maxine Bauer, Beaver Dam; one niece; one nephew; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Gabriel and Jonathan Rivers.

Friends may call on Monday, June 10, from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Adeline E. Schmid
MAYVILLE - Adeline E. Schmid, 87, of Mayville, died on Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 9, at 4 p.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Theresa.

Mrs. Schmid was born on June 2, 1915, in Zumbro, Minn., the daughter of Frank and Mary (Schneider) Moldenhauer. She was married on Nov. 14, 1942, to Ervin A. Schmid Sr., in Slinger.

Survivors include one son, Erv (Ellen) Schmid, Mayville; one daughter, Lois (Ken) Zimmer, Fond du Lac; two sisters, Anna Mae (Raymond) Pecher, Cedarburg, and Doris (Edwin Sr.) Bublitz, Columbus; five grandchildren, Todd (Amy) Schmid, Kelly (Mark) Simon, Heidi (special friend Mike Maslowski) Schmid, Nicole (fiance Manny Rivera) Zimmer, Parker (special friend Julie Seckington) Zimmer; four great-grandchildren, Aleana Schmid, Teresa, Nathan and Eric Simon; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ervin A. Schmid Sr. on Sept. 8, 1983, and one brother, Leroy.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 9, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Home of Hope, Fond du Lac, in lieu of flowers.

Vernon H. Rosin
HUSTISFORD - Vernon H. Rosin, 70, of Hustisford, died on Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Mayville Nursing Home.

The funeral will be held on Monday, June 10, at 5 p.m., at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Hustisford. The Rev. Timothy Bauer will officiate. Military graveside services will be conducted by Hustisford American Legion Post No. 420. Burial will be in Hustisford cemetery.

Mr. Rosin was born on Jan. 14, 1932, in the town of Herman, the son of August and Florence (Tesch) Rosin. He was married to Elaine Washburn on Nov. 3, 1956, in Juneau.

Mr. Rosin served his country in the US Army from 1953 to 1956. He worked for Radloff Cheese in his early years then worked for Stolper Industry for 22 years. He worked for E.R. Wagner Caster and Roller in Hustisford, where he retired. He was a member of Hustisford American Legion Post No. 420 and was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Hustisford.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; four children, Debra (Clarence) Baerwald, Iron Ridge, Patty (Robert) Thurloff, Hartford, Bruce (Mary) Rosin, Pence, and Cathy (Thomas) Zimmerman, Watertown; nine grandchildren, Jessica and Jacob Baerwald, Marcus, Ryan and Chad Thurloff, Brett and Cody Myhre, Brooke and Isaac Zimmerman; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Washburn; and one sister, Loretta Wolfgram, Waterloo; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Clinton Washburn, and one brother-in-law, Robert Wolfgram.

Friends may call on Monday, June 10, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, Hustisford.

The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home is serving the family.

Audrey H. Draeger
FOND DU LAC - Audrey Helen Draeger, 64, of 653 W. Arndt St., Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.

Audrey requested cremation. Per her wishes no public funeral will be held. A private vigil will be held at a later date with only her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Draeger was born Sept. 6, 1937, the daughter of Frederick and Mary Anna (Kasmiski) Matuszeski. In 1957, she married Erich Schulz, with whom she had five children. A second marriage in 1967, to the late Carl A. Draeger, blessed her with three more children.

Mrs. Draeger had many jobs in her lifetime, the most recent at the Hamilton Center in Fond du Lac. She enjoyed horses, reading and ceramics.

Survivors include five daughters, Barb Schulz, Wisconsin Dells area, Rosemary (Michael) Swenson, Rochester, Minn., Wanda (Dave) Kasubaski, Ripon, Sandra Schulz, Fox Lake, and Carla (Tim) Parson, Beaver Dam; three sons, Douglas Schulz, S.C., Steven Draeger, Markesan, and Ryan (fiancee Trish Rost) Draeger, Fox Lake; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her second husband, Carl; her parents; one sister, Mary Ann; and three brothers, Frederick, Raymond and Roland Matuszeski.

Hilda C. Jennings
WAUPUN - Hilda C. Jennings, 92, of Waupun, died on Friday, June 7, 2002, at the Christian Home, Waupun.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 11, at 6 p.m., at the Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Michael F. Moran will officiate. There will be a private burial.

Ms. Jennings was born on Sept. 1, 1909, in the township of Glenmore, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Stein) Leiterman.

Survivors include one brother, Edward Leiterman; nieces and nephews; special niece, Elizabeth Hansen; and special friends, Yvonne (Mike) White and family.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 11, from 5 to 6 p.m., at Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun.

Marie Peachey
WAUPUN - Marie Peachey, 91, of the Christian Home, Waupun, died on Sunday, June 9, 2002, at the home.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 11 a.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Revs. Richard Lawrence and Kathy Ulrich will officiate. Burial will be in Cattaraugus cemetery, Waupun.

Mrs. Peachey was born on Oct. 28, 1910, near Markesan, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Malitzke) Redman. She was married on April 29, 1929, to Oliver A. Peachey in Waukegan, Ill.

Mrs. Peachey and her husband farmed in the Waupun area until 1959, when they moved to Waupun. She was employed at the Ideal Shoe Factory, Waupun, and later by Sandknit, Waupun, for 11 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waupun, and its Rebecca Circle, having held various offices.

Survivors include one daughter, Eleanore (Lee) Pattee, Waupun; three sons, Oliver "Jim" (Joyce) Peachey, Robert (Marjorie) Peachey, both of Waupun, and George (Diane) Peachey, Markesan; 29 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Peachey; one daughter, Arlene (Pete) Davis; one great-grandchild, Brea Pattee; four sisters, Lena Patchett, Frieda Kulow, Martha Peachey, and Theresa Redman, and seven brothers, Louis, Rudolph, Paul, Otto, Bruno, Leo, and John.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 11, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Wednesday, June 12, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Beulah L. Hammer
TOWN OF BEAVER DAM - Beulah L. Hammer, 78, died on Saturday, June 8, 2002, at her home on the farm, town of Beaver Dam.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Daniel Massie will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery, town of Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hammer was born on Feb. 9, 1924, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of William and Elfreida (Hartl) Welch. She was married on Aug. 30, 1952, to Paul "Bob" Hammer in Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Hammer farmed alongside her husband for many years. She loved her children and grandchildren, and they were the most important part of her life. She also loved to garden and enjoyed mowing the lawn. She had many projects she worked on and liked crafts. Her pets provided her much enjoyment and comfort, especially in later years when she lived alone. She was a longtime member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Survivors include two sons, Charles W. (Nancy Kavazavjian) Hammer, Beaver Dam, and Steven (fiancee Sandi Gauger) Hammer, Burnett; two grandchildren, Patrick and Danielle Hammer; two sisters, Helen (Florian) Ring, Rio, and Beverly (Fredrick) Luck, Horicon; three sisters-in-law, Faith Welch, West Bend, Colette Rake, Beaver Dam, and Carol Landall, Waupun; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hammer; one brother, John Welch; three sisters-in-law, Gertrude Schmitt, Frances Schmitt, and Angeline Hammer, and three brothers-in-law, Louis, Alvin, and William Hammer.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, and on Wednesday, June 12, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of closing service at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Judith E. Beck
PESHTIGO - Judith E. Beck, 61, formerly of Marinette, died on Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Whispering Oaks Care Center, Peshtigo.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 1:30 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Revs. Douglas and Vickie Psenicka will officiate. Private inurnment will be held in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh, at a later date.

Miss Beck was born on Oct. 10, 1940, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Willard and Ruth (Baker) Loew.

Miss Beck was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School, Milwaukee. Following graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she was an elementary school teacher in Milwaukee for several years. She was a longtime member of Sherman Park Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She also assisted at Loew's, her parents' restaurant in Milwaukee, for many years.

Survivors include her mother, Ruth Loew, Beaver Dam; one brother, Larry Loew, Beaver Dam; many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Loew, on Feb. 19, 1996, and one sister, Janet Zeman, on June 1, 2001.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 13, from noon until the time of service at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Margaret M. Miller
Margaret M. Miller, 85, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, June 9, 2002, at Hillside Manor, Beaver Dam.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 12, at 4 p.m., at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Daniel Massie will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery, town of Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Miller was born on May 1, 1917, in Lexington, Ky., the daughter of Raymond and Bertha (Turley) Pendleton. She was married on Sept. 24, 1944, to Walter Miller in Oakland, Calif.

Mrs. Miller was a resident of Beaver Dam for many years. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

She will be sadly missed and mourned by one daughter, Barbara Miller, Beaver Dam; four sons, Robert (Diane) Miller, Longwood, Fla., Steve (Margaret) Miller, John (MarySue) Miller, both of Beaver Dam, and Richard Miller, Waterloo; four grandchildren, Jerry, Robert, Michelle, and Paula Miller; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Miller, and one brother, Robert Pendleton.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June 12, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Ralph W. Lowe Sr.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Ralph W. Lowe Sr., 79, died on Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, N.C.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m., at Hillside cemetery, Columbus. The Rev. John Hobbins will officiate.

Mr. Lowe was born on July 23, 1923, in Greensboro, N.C., the son of Jason and Savannah (Newman) Lowe. He was married on Nov. 22, 1965, to Norma Kopplin in Madison.

Mr. Lowe was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of VFW Post 8090, Columbus. He was a switchman for the Southern Railway for 19 years, and later retired as a supervisor from American Packaging Corp., Columbus.

Survivors include, one son, Michael (Linda) Lowe, Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Cynthia (Steve) Corman, Greensboro, N.C. ; one daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lowe, Hendersonville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Dorothy Lowe, Greensboro, N.C.; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Lowe, in 1988; one son, Ralph Lowe Jr.; four brothers, Jason, Roger, Robert, and Thurman, and one sister, Ann Jarvis.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus.

Elhart Pieper
MAYVILLE - Elhart Pieper, 84, of 131 High St., Mayville, died on Monday, June 10, 2002, at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 4 p.m., at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Mr. Pieper was born on April 23, 1918, in Mayville, the son of Frank and Louise (Wendorff) Pieper. He was married on Oct. 23, 1943, to Marion Futterlieb in Milwaukee.

Mr. Pieper was employed as a spotwelder at Maysteel Corp., Mayville, for 40 years. He was a lifelong member of IAM.

Survivors include, his wife, Marion Pieper, Mayville; three children, Gary (Jean) Pieper, Horicon, Dave (Jean) Pieper, Mayville, and Jim "Spid" (special friend Christa Shebuski) Pieper, Iron Ridge; one brother, Franklin "Franny" Pieper, Mayville; two sisters, Adeline Benzel, Mayville, and Ilona Sawyer, Burnett; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Elsmer Pieper; one sister, Lorraine Crown; two sisters-in-law, Ann Pieper and Esther Pieper, and three brothers-in-law, Paul Sawyer, Harold Crown, and Clarence Benzel.
