Ruth Marquardt
RANDOLPH - Ruth Marquardt, 72, died on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at Continental Manor, Randolph.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m., at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Daniel Sims will officiate. Inurnment will be in Cambria cemetery.

Mrs. Marquardt was born on March 15, 1930, to Alonzo and Edna (Corsant) Wright. She was married on Nov. 8, 1947, to Harris Marquardt in Cambria.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Dr. Linda Jacobs) Marquardt, Sheboygan, and Donald Marquardt, Washington; two grandsons; one sister, Gladys Schoenherr, Fountain, Mich; relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harris Marquardt, on Sept. 24, 1993; five brothers, and one sister.

Friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the time of service, at the Zeidler Funeral Home, Columbus.

John F. Baierl
MAYVILLE - John F. Baierl, 92, of 305 S. Clark St., Mayville, died on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m., at St. Theresa Memorial Garden, Theresa. The Rev. Kevin Kowalske officiated.

Mr. Baierl was born on April 14, 1910, in Mayville, the son of Joseph and Theresa Baierl.

Mr. Baierl retired from Nasbro Lime Works. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

There was no visitation.

The Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, is serving the family.

Anna M. Sterr
BROWNSVILLE - Anna M. Sterr, 68, of N10889 West Line Road, Brownsville, died on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at her home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 6 p.m., at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's cemetery, LeRoy.

Mrs. Sterr was born on July 15, 1934, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Paul and Vera (Denslow) Batura. She was married on June 26, 1954, to Robert N. Sterr in St. Mary's Church, Fond du Lac.

Mrs. Sterr was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy, St. Andrew's Christian Mothers, and a lifetime member of the Lomira American Legion Auxiliary. She was a cook at the Lomira American Legion for eight years, helped with the hot lunch program at St. Andrew's Campus, arranged flowers at St. Andrew's Church throughout the year, and was involved with the Lomira Brownies and Girl Scouts.

Survivors include her husband, Robert N. Sterr, Brownsville; seven children, Terry (Lynette) Sterr, Fond du Lac, Mark (Joy) Sterr, Brownsville, Mike Sterr, Pat (Mary) Sterr, Jane (Stephen) Jones, all of Lomira; Judy (Glenn) Hogue, Germantown , and Nancy (Mike) Gilkey, Waupun; 13 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Scott, and two brothers, Paul and Carl.

Friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 4 p.m. until the time of service at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy.

Memorials may be made to St. Agnes Hospice, or the St. Andrew's Restoration Fund.

Irma A. M. Siudzinski
MARKESAN - Irma Anna Martha Siudzinski, 91, formerly of Waupun, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, in Markesan, where she had been residing.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m., at the Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun. The Rev. Kenneth Spence will officiate. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m., in the Forest Home cemetery, Milwaukee.

Mrs. Siudzinski was born on June 16, 1922, in Racine, the daughter of Edgar and Emily (Kirchein) Hatch.

Mrs. Siudzinski lived in Milwaukee, where she raised her children and continued working as a dental assistant on the south side of Milwaukee. In 1978, she and her sisters moved to Waupun, and resided there since.

Survivors include one son, Lee (Karen) Siudzinski, Kaukauna; one daughter, Lynn (Henry) Conti, Green Lake; six grandchildren, Beth Siudzinski, Dana Siudzinski, both of Seattle, Wash., Sarah Siudzinski, Milwaukee, Carlo Conti, Oshkosh, and Alyssa Conti, Ripon; relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Hatch and Harriet McCarver, and one brother, Edgar Hatch.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Pella Lutheran Church, Waupun.

The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home Waupun, is serving the family.

Robert A. Schenkel
FOX LAKE - Robert A. Schenkel, 71, of Fox Lake, died on Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at his home, with his loving family by his side.

At Mr. Schenkel's request there will be no funeral service held.

Mr. Schenkel was born on April 30, 1931, in Milwaukee, the son of August and Anna (Domidian) Schenkel. He was married on Nov. 6, 1954, to Lois J. Pooler in Milwaukee.

Mr. Schenkel was a 1953 graduate of Rufus King High School, Milwaukee. He served his country in the U.S. Army 5th Armored Division, and was the recipient of the Occupational National Defense Medal. He was the manager of the Rug Doctor Warehouse, Waukesha, before retiring. He loved tinkering and repairing almost anything.

Mr. Schenkel was the beloved husband of 47 years, of Lois J. Schenkel, Fox Lake; loving father of John Robert Schenkel, West Bend, and Christopher L. (Carol) Schenkel, Beaver Dam. He is further survived by two grandchildren, Thomas Philip Schenkel and Brenda Lynn Schenkel; two sisters, Dorothy (Fred) Holz, Oostburg, and Vickie Timm, Watertown, S.D.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to Hillside Hospice, Beaver Dam.

Barbara Boomsma

WAUPUN - Barbara Boomsma, 69, of Waupun, died on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Meriter Hospital, Madison.

The funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at 10:30 a.m., at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. Jeff Brower will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery, Waupun.

Mrs. Boomsma was born on Aug. 15, 1933, in Grant Park, Ill., the daughter of Luther and Stella (Bilyard) Keen. She was married on June 21, 1950, to Ted Boomsma in Wichert, Ill.

Mrs. Boomsma and her husband farmed in the Momence and Lowell, Ill. area for many years prior to moving to the Waupun area in 1976, where they continued farming. The couple retired in 1997, and moved to the city of Waupun recently. She was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Waupun.

Survivors include her husband, Ted Boomsma, Waupun; one son, Rich (Rebecca) Boomsma, Oakland, N.J.; one daughter, Susan Boomsma, Waupun; five grandchildren, Kyle (Monica) Boomsma, Kristen Boomsma, Ted Pausma, Tony Pausma and Joey Pausma; two brothers, Rodney (Rose) Keen, and Barry (Louise) Keen, both of Momence, Ill.; three sisters, Marlene (Don) Quattrocchi, Loveland, Colo., Sharon (James) Sylvester, Steger, Ill., and Beverly (Rich) Lewis, Bardstown, Ky.; relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Monday, Aug. 26, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Waupun.

Leonard J. Maier

Leonard J. Maier, 98, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at Continental Manor, Randolph.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. William Key will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's cemetery, town of Beaver Dam.

Mr. Maier was born on Dec. 25, 1903, in Beaver Dam, the son of Michael and Crescentia (Heider) Maier. He was married on Sept. 16, 1924, to Pearl Eichenseer in Beaver Dam.

Mr. Maier was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Beaver Dam Elk's Lodge 1540. He ran a grocery store in Fox Lake for many years, then was affiliated with the local Cadillac agency for some time. He was a director of the State Bank of Fox Lake from 1946 to 1991. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He had a great sense of humor and and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews; close friend, Irma Grams, Beaver Dam; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl Maier, in 1978; six brothers, William, John, Max, Ed, Mike, and Henry Maier; four sisters, Annie Maier, Laura Weiser, Rose Hammer, and Tillie Mersch, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, or to the charity of one's choice.
The Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is serving the family.

Phillip A. Tibbits
MAYVILLE - Phillip A. Tibbits, 43, of 1171 Breckenridge St., Apt. 3, Mayville, died on Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, as the result of an automobile accident.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Milwaukee.

Mr. Tibbits was born on Oct. 5, 1958, in Milwaukee, the son of Ronald and Barbara (Brhely) Tibbits.

Mr. Tibbits was a graduate of Washington High School, Milwaukee. He was employed at Metalcraft, Mayville.

Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Barbara Tibbits, Waupun; six children, Nichelle (special friend Anthony Robinson) Tibbits, Adam Tibbits, Lindsay Tibbits, Jacob Tibbits, Jessica Tibbits, and Joseph Tibbits, all of Milwaukee, sisters and brothers, Stephen (special friend Lisa Kaja) Tibbits, South Milwaukee, Kenneth Tibbits, Mayville, Jeanette Dieringer, Hartland, Brian (Debi) Tibbits, Mayville, Dianne (Timothy) Hahn, West Allis, Alan (Heidi) Tibbits, Beaver Dam, and Vicki (special friend Rich Spittel) Tibbits, Mayville; one granddaughter, Ariana Tibbits; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Friends may call on Monday, Aug. 26, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mayville.

Helen Jeske
Helen Jeske, 92, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.

The funeral is pending with the Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam.

Howard Jefferies

FOX LAKE - Howard Jefferies, 77, of Fox Lake, died on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison.

The funeral is pending for Sunday, Aug. 25, at 6:30 p.m., at the Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home, Fox Lake. The Rev. Michael Wild will officiate. Entombment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park cemetery, Milwaukee.

Jeffery Geschke
LOMIRA - Jeffery "Jeff" Geschke, 47, of W3062 Highway Y, No. 3, Lomira, died on Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, due to a motorcycle accident on Highway AY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m., at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy. The Rev. Charles Wester will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's cemetery, LeRoy.

Mr. Geschke was born on Jan. 31, 1955, in Fond du Lac, the son of Gilbert and Elaine (Sternat) Geschke.

Mr. Geschke was employed with RuMar, Mayville, as a spot welder. He enjoyed hunting and riding his Harley.

Survivors include his parents, Gilbert and Elaine Geschke, Mayville; one son, Scott (Kari) Geschke, Madison; one daughter, Nicole Geschke, Ohio; sisters and brothers, Larry Geschke, Colorado Springs, Colo., Parry (Sharon) Geschke, Greg (Mary) Geschke, Vickie (Larry) Liebenow, all of Mayville, Sheila (special friend Doug Covert) Surita, Mochinsey Park, Ill., Kristine (Todd) Hoerth, Oconomowoc, Mark (Patti) Geschke, Teresa (Robert) Schroeder, Donna Geschke, Les Geschke, all of Mayville, Mary (Ron) Billings, Horicon, Renee Junod, Fort Polk, La., and Lisa (Jim) Jameson, Madison; special friend, Linda Ganz, Beaver Dam; two grandchildren, Deacon and Tristen; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
