KATERS, Mrs. Cliff (Bernice), 74, Green Bay, died unexpectedly at home Monday afternoon, September 9, 2002.

Born in Green Bay on December 21, 1927, she is the daughter of the late Martin and Cora (Van Ven Roy) Van Donsel. Bernice graduated from St. Joseph Academy.

On September 10, 1947 she married Cliff Katers at St. Willebrord's Parish. Bernice was in real estate for 10 years and helped her husband and brother-in-law with their business Katers Brothers Construction.

Bernice enjoyed playing cards, garden flowers, and especially times spent with her family. She is a member of Holy Cross Parish, Bay Settlement.

Survived by her beloved husband of 55 years Cliff; four sons: Michael (Rebecca) Katers of Green Bay; Stephen (Deborah) Katers of Colorado, Timothy Katers of Colorado and fiancé Deborah Catron, Bruce (Deborah) Katers of Green Bay; Nine grandchildren: Thomas (Renee) Katers, Laura, Paul, Andrew, Christopher, Aaron, Krista, Emily, and Samuel; one great grandson Joshua; nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law.

Preceded in death by her parents; aunts and uncles.

Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, from 4:00 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Parish wake service 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Friday visitation will continue at Holy Cross Parish, 3009 Bay Settlement Road; from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral. Funeral Friday 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Parish with Rev. Ted Hendricks officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.

PLOETZ, William M., 88, Gillett. A private service was held. West Mason Malcore Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., is assisting the family.

BLACKBURN, Lillian (Mrs. Norman) , 81, Green Bay, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, at her home. She was born July 5, 1921, to the late Louis and Victoria (Wagner) Zurawski in Stevens Point. On June 23, 1945, she married Norman W. Blackburn; he preceded her in death March 25, 1969. Lillian enjoyed raising her two children, David and Debbie, and also enjoyed raising violets and crocheting. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.

Lillian is survived by her son, David and daughter Debbie (Keith) Bates; her five grandsons, Mike (Michelle) Klein, Lance Blackburn and his fiance Amy Majewski, Jake and Brent Blackburn, Denni (Heather) Towle III; one granddaughter, Alyssa Blackburn; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Klein and Talon Towle; step-grandchildren, Shaleen (Peter) Dombowski, Sherry (Jim) Smiltmeek, Tina (John) Cudnohufsky, Samantha and Isaiah Woods; step great-grandchildren, Jimi (Bates) Baker, Sarah Bates, Cheryle Ann Beuleau, Mike and Marc Murra, Dominic Sorenson, Lacy Bates, Zachary Mann, Jordan and Darrien Woods; one brother and sister-in-law, Laddie and Irene Zurawski; many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express a very special thank you to a devoted niece, Lynne, for staying by her side for her final hours; also a special thank you to her very special friend and confidant for many years, June Ehrbar. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter and Louis and her sisters, Ann, Sister Mary Jonelle, Maggie, Gina, Martha and Laura.

Friends may call Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Avenue and Ridge Road. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Warren for his many years of service, Dr. Rye, the 3rd floor nursing staff at St. Mary's Hospital, the Seymour Rescue Unit for returning Lillian home for her final hour and the NEW Curative Day Program, especially Kathy, Terry, Holly, Kristine, Nikki, Paul and Roy.

BISICK, Jeanne (Eugenia) M. Bisick, 73, Green Bay. Visitation from 4-8 p.m., Thursday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1620 E. Mason St., and also at 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Mausoleum. Funeral 11 a.m. Friday at The Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

CARROLL, Doris 65, Krakow. Visitation after 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Morgan. Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Survivors include her husband, John; two sons, David (Hazel) Carroll, Silsbee, Texas, Stephen (Heather) Carroll, Eau Claire; one daughter, Stacey (Josh) McCain, Marshfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Sue Moody, Pasadena, Texas, Judy Woods, Cullman, Ala. Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, is assisting the family.

LAMAY, Reginald G. "Reggy", 70, Green Bay. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Friday at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. Funeral service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include three sons, Scott LaMay, Pulaski, Todd LaMay (fiancée, Kim), Mountain, Kevin LaMay, Green Bay; one daughter, Lisa LaMay, Sarasota, Fla.; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Jackie (Jim) LaBrosse, Howard, Jeannie (Jack) Bates, Athelstane, Janice May, Green Bay.

VAN ROY, Gerald C. 54, Howard, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, in Manitowoc.

The family will receive friends at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home West, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Howard, from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday until the cortege leaves for church. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Church, Howard, with the Rev. Gregory Smith officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established at the Funeral Home in Gerald's name.

KARWEICK, Corrine (Phyllis), 92, Seymour. Visitation 9:30-11 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 349 N. Main St., Seymour. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Survivors include her husband, Harold; one daughter, Judy (Jim) Clark, Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Connie (Carl) Riggs, Cedar Falls, Iowa; one brother, Sidney (Elly), Santa Barbara, Calif. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, is assisting the family.

CEGELSKI, Christopher S. 47, Allouez, was taken home to our Heavenly Father on Monday evening, Sept. 9, 2002, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. The son of Fred and Nancy (DeLarwell) Cegelski was born Sept. 28, 1954, in Charleston, N.C. Chris attended Abbot Pennings High School, graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1972, and attended St. Norbert College. On June 20, 1975, he married the former Julie Jenkel at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Mr. Cegelski was currently employed as an executive recruiter at the HS Group in Green Bay.

Chris was a man of strong faith, a faith that carried him through his recent illness. He was a member of the Men of Faith Group at Faith Lutheran Church, where he and his family are active members of the congregation. Chris was an active member of our community, having served as President of the De Pere Chamber of Commerce. He volunteered extensively for the Green Bay YMCA and raised funds for the Friends of Youth, Ski Sale and Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya. Chris was an active member of the Y's Men's Club and generously donated his time and talents for many years. He enjoyed sports of all types and coached and participated in his children's athletics.

Survivors include his wife, Julie; one son, Michael, a senior at Southwest High School; one daughter, Kristin, a junior at UW-Madison; parents, Fred and Nancy Cegelski; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debra and Mike Bourguignon, Green Bay, Lisa and Bob Boettcher, Sturgeon Bay; one brother, Daniel Cegelski, Sturgeon Bay; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Jenkel, Green Bay; three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Mary and Jack Delk, Minneapolis, Patti and Tom Weinstein, Green Bay, Betsy and Paul Weber, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, Alvin William Jenkel III, Pensacola, Fla.; three nephews; seven nieces; and very special friends, Bob and Susie Burns.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and friend, Alvin W. Jenkel Jr.

Friends may call at Faith Lutheran Church, 2335 S. Webster Ave., Allouez, from, noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Peter Speckhard officiating. Private burial services will be held on Friday at the Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established for the children's education. Ryan Funeral Home of De Pere (920) 336-3171 is assisting the family with arrangements.

The Cegelski family extends a special thank you to the many friends and family members who surrounded and comforted them throughout Chris' illness, especially Pastor Speckhard and our church family at Faith Lutheran; Tim Richter and the Y's Men's Club; Tom Weinstein; Bob and Susie Burns; Jock and Eileen Seal; Julie's co-workers at Bellin Hospital, Mary Mueller and Kathryn Andrews; parents, staff and friends at Southwest High School; Joe Schinkten and Ryan Funeral Home; and from Unity Hospice, Paula Rose and Patty Martens.

GAUTHIER, Lucille (Mrs. Donald), 84, Ashwaubenon, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at a local nursing home. She was born May 3, 1918, to the late Gustave and Mary (Christensen) Schmidtke in Green Bay. She married Donald Gauthier in July of 1940; he preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1968. Lucille loved baking, cooking and dining at local restaurants. She enjoyed her grandchildren and the Packers, never missing a game. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Ann Gauthier and their daughter, Wendy, and Gerald and Linda Gauthier, and their children, Tammy, Colleen, Mandy, Tim, Eric and Sean, all of Green Bay; many great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Schmidtke; one sister-in-law, Edna Schmidtke; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rhonda Gauthier; a brother, Cliff Schmidtke; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Schmidtke.

Friends may call Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Avenue and Ridge Road, where the funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jen Lapinskas officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.

A memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Care West for the compassionate care that they provided.

KOSMOSKI, Richard J., Hobe Sound, Fla., formerly of Green Bay, went to eternal rest very peacefully with his wife at his side on Sept. 8, 2002, at their home in Hobe Sound, Florida. He was born and raised in Green Bay, the beloved son of the late A.A. and Clara Ford Kosmoski. Richard was a graduate of East High School and Marquette University in Milwaukee where he majored in business and marketing. Aviation always interested him, and he became a pilot and trainer in the United States Air Force during World War II. Returning to Green Bay after the war, he helped start and was president of Kos Lumber Company. He was also Chairman of the Board of Kos Apartments and Kos Management Systems. His knowledge of developing and building is evident in the many area residential and commercial projects he was involved in. Besides being an aviator, Richard appreciated boating, fishing, collecting antique cars, motor home excursions and traveling, especially to Mexico.

He will be missed by his loving wife, Carmel (Meyers); daughter Dierdre and Mike Kujawa, Long Island, New York; three sons, Steve and Carol Kosmoski, Sturgeon Bay, John and Diana Kosmoski, Green Bay, Paul and Patrice Kosmoski, Green Bay; 11 grandchildren, Jack, Ben, Tyler, Tara, Mindy, Ryan, Bryn, Abby, Connor, Windy and Skye; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. There will be no visitation prior to the service on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dykesville, with the Rev. Richard Mauthe officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.

LEMKE, Jean Ann, 50, Portland, Ore. A private service will be held Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at St. Joseph Chapel, Green Bay. Survivors include her husband, Jeff; one son, Daniel; her parents, Warren and Patricia Lemke; eight sisters, Mary Williams, Kathie Batsche, Joan Santy, Sue Rozmiarek, Beth Lemke, Peggy Lemke, Julie Plantz, Trish Lemke; three brothers, Jim Lemke, John Lemke, Bill Lemke.

RICHARDSON, Ralph "Bud" A. II, 64, De Pere. Visitation 10-noon today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1307 Lourdes Ave., De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial noon today at the church. Survivors include his wife, Delphine, De Pere; three daughters, Rebecca (Tim) Koltz, Two Rivers, Gayle (Jim) Begotka, De Pere, Angela Richardson, De Pere; his father, Ralph A. Richarson, Florida; two sisters, Barbara Coutarier, Tennessee, Lynne Rodriquez, Indiana; five grandchildren. Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, is assisting the family.
