Leonard Firmaniuk
Leonard Firmaniuk, 61, Allouez, died late Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 at a local hospital. Born in Nowogrodek, Poland, on Feb. 26, 1941, he is the son of Alexandria (Oleszkiewicz) and the late Eugene Firmaniuk.
Leonard graduated from the University of Wroclaw in Poland with a law degree and was employed as an attorney while in Poland. He immigrated to the United States in the mid-1970s and was employed with a construction company in Chicago before moving to the Green Bay area four years ago. In his free time, Leonard enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Alexandria, of Allouez; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ina Blankenship, Lidia and Mike Zilka and their children, Nicholas and Tatiana, all of Chicago. Preceded in death by his father, Eugene.
Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, today from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial Service 3 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Farrell officiating.

Evelyn Moens
Evelyn (Mrs. Louis) Moens, 95, Green Bay, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at a local nursing home. Born in New Franken, Oct. 23, 1907, she is the daughter of the late Sebastian and Mary (Jacques) Kronmiller. She married Louis Moens April 16, 1929, at St. Kilians Church in New Franken, and he preceded her in death July 25, 1983. The couple farmed in New Franken for many years until their retirement when they moved to Green Bay in 1965. She belonged to the St. Kilians Christian Mother Society and the Saints Peter and Paul Rosary Altar Society. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, her flowers, playing cards and her pet bird, Petey, and praying her rosary. She loved and cared for her grandchildren deeply.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Beatrice Moens of Green Bay; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Melvin De Beck, and Elizabeth and Robert Bertrand, all of Green Bay; 14 grandchildren and spouses, Bernadine DeHart, Christopher and Linda De Beck, Dennis De Beck, Susan and Luke Warpinski, Gregory Moens, Catherine Moens, Andrew and Donna Moens, Phil and Linda Lampereur, Dave and Sharon Bjorkman, Daniel and Jody Bertrand, Harold and Suzette Bertrand, Russell and Diane Bertrand, Robin and Janet Rosio, Lee and Marilyn Remington, and Tom Farrell; 19 great-grandchildren; special friends Hazel Gerstner and Evelyn Destaercke, both of Green Bay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; three grandchildren, Angela and Arnold De Beck, and Carol Farrell; and one grandson-in-law, George DeHart.
Visitation at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and prior to the funeral on Thursday. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary service by the Rosary Altar Society prior to the funeral in church. Funeral Mass Thursday 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Church with the Rev. Thomas Farrell officiating. Burial at St. Kilians Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Santa Maria Nursing Home and Dr. Luke Warpinski for their care of Evelyn the past seven years.

Nolan Ryan Kujava
Nolan Ryan Kujava, 17, son of Jayme and Sheila Kujava, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Nov. 9, 1984 in Green Bay, Wis. Nolan attended Keller Elementary School and graduated from St. Jude Catholic School. He was currently a senior at Notre Dame Academy.
Survivors include his parents, Jayme and Sheila; a sister, Dana, and a brother, Tony, both at home; his grandmothers, Eunice Kujava, Green Bay, and Janet Dolan, Lone Rock. Nolan is also survived by his uncles and aunts, Sam and Lynn Kujava, Tom and Peggy Kujava, Kevin and Karla Kujava, Dennis and Barb Dolan, Paul and Sue Ellen Dolan, Shannon and Galen Strebe, Theresa Dolan, Jane and Ralph Porpora, Jenny and Jim Kray, great-uncles and -aunts; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Melvin Kujava and James A. Dolan. Friends may call at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1423 Kellogg St., from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Cemetery.
The Kujava family would like to extend a very special "Thank you" to the entire staff of St. Vincent Hospital, Fr. Ron Belitz, Gary and Donna Tilot, the Kujava and Dolan families and their many friends. A memorial fund is being established in Nolan's name. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the Kujava family.

Viola L. Enneper

Madison St. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Survivors include one son, Jim (Connie) Enneper, Green Bay; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Dorothe R. Hammer
Dorothe R. Hammer, Green Bay, passed away on October 30, 2002, in Green Bay after a long illness. Dorothy was born in Bismarck, N.D., to the late William and Sarah (Deau) Rutz. She was a graduate of Marinette High School. She then moved to Appleton where she was employed for 10 years in the Research Lab of Kimberly Clark. Later she met her future husband John Hammer, became engaged and waited three years for his return from the war in Europe. After their marriage they moved to Green Bay. Dorothe and John enjoyed over 50 years together, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1997.
Dorothe was a member of the Service League and the Curative Workshop. She was involved in theater as head of make-up. She also modeled and did demos for Marshall Field in Chicago. She exercised the adventurous part of herself by traveling alone to Europe, Hawaii and the Caribbean. Her greatest pleasure was her children and grandchildren.
Dorothe is survived by her children, Dr. Mitchell Hammer, his wife Diann and their children Lea and Neil, Randy Hammer, his wife Lori and their children Emily, Brody and Nathaniel, and Kristy Robb and her husband Tom and his children Scott, Ernie, Jon and Carie Robb. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 468-4111, Tuesday from 4:30-6 p.m. Funeral Service at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Jean Howard officiating.

Mary Schweppe
Mary (Marie Froelich) Schweppe, 83, Green Bay resident, died early Friday morning, Nov. 1, 2002 at a local nursing home. She was born June 29, 1919 in Bellevue to the late Charles and Margaret (Kutska) Froelich. She married Chief Petty Officer John Schweppe in 1944 in San Diego, Calif. He preceded her in death in 1976. Mary managed the Aztec Motel in San Diego for many years until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of St. Bernard's Parish.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Wencil and Lou Froelich, Bellevue; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Agnes Simons, Green Bay, Dorothy and Frank Brown, San Marcos, Calif., and Ceil Vanden Langenberg, Abrams; one sister-in-law, Ruth Froelich, Bellevue; many nieces and nephews, especially Dolores (Heimerl) Eisch, De Pere.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Benjamin, Albert (Regina), Joseph and Norbert (Dee) Froelich; two sisters, Emma (Max) Koehler and Eleanor Heimerl.
