Gilbert F. Plutschack
WAUKESHA - Gilbert F. Plutschack, 73, was born to eternal life Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000.

He was the beloved husband of Lela (nee Whittle); loving brother of Pearl (Dick) Schultz and brother-in-law of Barbara Green; and dear father of Bill (Patty Best), Tim (Sue), Randy, Sue (Lenny) Wegner and Joe (Pat). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gilbert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was employed at Mitchell Manufacturing for 42 years.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 W. Highway 59, Waukesha.

Carl H. Staples
WAUKESHA - Carl H. Staples, 69, of Waukesha died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000. He was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Dryden, N.Y, the son of Alva and Carrie (nee Borden) Staples. He was a teacher with the Elmbrook School District from 1957 to 1988. He was an officer of the Waukesha County Law Enforcement Pistol League. He was president of the Milwaukee-Waukesha Honey Producers Association and the Greater Milwaukee Model T Ford Club. He was an officer of the Badger Ramblers Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, sister, Ellen Baily and an infant sister.

He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Sandra Bjornson of Chicago and Karen (Jerry) Hauke of Sheboygan; his son, Kurt Staples of Waukesha; brothers, Donald (Katherine) Staples of Homosassa, Fla. and Paul (Lois) Staples of Janesville; and grandson David Haukee. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Carl will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. The Rev. Jim Bickel will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12. Burial will be in Prairie Home cemetery. Clarabelle C. Dippel
WAUKESHA - Clarabelle C. Dippel of Waukesha died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was 90. She was born March 20, 1910, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Fred and Margaret (nee McCann) Rasmussen. She has lived in Waukesha since 1998, coming from Marion, Iowa.

She is the dear mother of Mari (Dr. Thomas) Dougherty of Waukesha and Donald Dippel of Marion, Iowa. She is the loving grandmother of Marggie (Brian) Cossman and Andy Dougherty. Also surviving are her sisters, Margaret Rasmussen and Helen Rowley, both of Waukesha. Clarabelle was preceded in death by her husband Donald and her brother-in-law Howard Rowley.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, Iowa. The Rev. John Gossman will celebrate Mass. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association. The Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 542-6609, is serving the family.

Lawrence A. Charneske
PEWAUKEE - Lawrence A. Charneske, 58, found peace on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at his home in Pewaukee. He was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Milwaukee.

Larry was an avid photographer. He had been an industrial sales representative for many years. He was preceded in death by his son, Craig Charneske.

Lawrence was the dear father of Christine Charneske of Genesee, and dear son of Lorrayne and Russell Bennett of Mesa, Ariz. He will also be remembered by Barbara and Norm Zimdars of Waukesha, along with other relatives and friends.

"When I am dead, cry for me a little. Think of me sometimes, but not too much. It is not good for you to allow your thoughts to dwell too long on the dead. Think of me now and again as I was in life, at some moment which is pleasant to recall, but not for long. Leave me in peace as I shall leave you, too, in peace. While you live, let your thoughts be with the living."

There will be no service or visitation. Burial will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.

Leroy F. Behlman (Fishy the Clown)
NEW BERLIN - Leroy F. Behlman, "Fishy the Clown," died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at the age of 77.

He was the husband of the late Eva (nee Heller); loving father of Mark of Wheaton, Ill., and Daniel (Sharon) Behlman; proud grandfather of Ashley, Blake, Carrie Anne and Lindsay; and dear brother of Ethel Keenan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Leroy was a lifelong member of the New Berlin community and its many service organizations, including the New Berlin Lions and various softball teams. He was a 32nd Degree of the Scottish Rite and a clown for the Tripoli Temple, which he enjoyed for many years. He also had a great love of hunting and fishing.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at the Larsen Bros. New Berlin Funeral Home, 15250 W. National Ave. A Masonic service will be held at 12:30 p.m., followed by Rabbi Steven Adams. Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia Society are appreciated.

Leona J. Montgomery
WAUKESHA - Leona J. Montgomery, born on Nov. 7, 1912 in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of Samuel and Mary (nee McCall) Woods, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at her home in Waukesha at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; her daughter, Gloria Smith; her brothers, Chester, Roy and Ralph; her sisters, Hazel, Esti, Eva and Reba; and her grandson, Terry Montgomery.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Barbara (Orin) Mayer of the town of Delafield, Beverly (Steve) Kubasa of New Berlin and Robert (Donna) Montgomery of Oregon; her sister-in-law, Doris Woods of Marysville, Calif.; her grandchildren, Debbie (Karl) Zeirke, Dan Palm, Lisa (Chris) Zweifel, Lynda (Geno) Neyhart, Wendy (Kevin) Hermening, Tammy Hollister, John Kubasa, Kerri Schneider and Lori and Kurt Montgomery; her great-grandchildren, Sarah, John, Tim, Erin, Kacey, Sean, Logan, Kaitlyn, Justin, Jason, Terry, Connor and Ryan; and her great-great-grandson, Austin. She will also be missed by other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Leona will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. Pastor James Stein will officiate. Julius ‘Jay’ A. Brinkman
DELAFIELD - Julius "Jay" A. Brinkman, of Delafield, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at the age of 80. He was born in Ameek, Mich., on June 18, 1920, the son of John and Mary (nee Pechauer) Brinkman.

Jay was a retired salesman for Kenworth Truck. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and will be missed by his fellow servicemen of the LST #49. He was always involved in helping those less fortunate through volunteering in such organizations as the Delafield Share Food Program and church food distribution programs.

Jay was a member of the Bahai faith, Waukesha temple, a member of the Dousman Masonic Lodge #315, and Wisconsin Scottish Rites, Valley of Milwaukee and Tripoli Temple of Milwaukee. He also served as the Past Patron of Dousman Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 257, the Delafield Senior Citizens and Hawks Inn Historical Society in Delafield.

A great sportsman and outdoorsman, Jay was active in clubs such as Buck & Fin Hunt Club and ABC Bowling. Jay’s generous and loving nature and his contagious smile will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by Dottie (nee Johnson), his loving wife of 58 years; two daughters, Barbara (William) Knoff of Nashotah and Sandra (Steve) Ryan of San Angelo, Texas; and four grandchildren, Catherine (Donald) Goebel of Ixonia, Bonnie (Donald) Lott of Sullivan, Sandra Knoff (fiancŽ, Paul Marquardt) of Elkhorn, Paul (Margarita) Ryan of San Antonio, Texas. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Robert (Ann) Brinkman of Two Rivers, and his four sisters, Alice (Ralph) Stayer of Sheboygan, Rose Emmons of Hagarville, Ark., Ruth Wollenschlager of New Berlin and Rita (Dr. Sam) Crum of Langhorne, Pa. Nieces, nephews and cousins also share the loss of such a loved man. He is preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 16, at the Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 E. Summit Ave., Hwy. 67, Oconomowoc. A Masonic & Order of the Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 p.m., followed by a Bahai Faith service. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Delafield City cemetery.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Shriner’s Crippled Childrens Hospitals are appreciated.

Robert J. Javorek
EAST TROY - Robert J. Javorek, 33, of East Troy died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, in Hayward. He was born Jan. 8, 1967, in Burlington to Robert and Sandra (Taylor) Javorek.

Robert graduated from East Troy High School in 1985. He was employed at Inland Material Handling in Butler. He was a member of Pheasant Hunters Unlimited and was a guide at Summit Lake Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Chapman); his daughter, Samantha; his mother, Sandra Javorek of East Troy; his sister, Robin (Randall) Licht of Harvard, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 103 Eagle St., Eagle. Pastor Bill Busch will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Ridge cemetery in East Troy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to a trust fund for Samantha Javorek are appreciated.

Helen M. Lampien
WAUKESHA - Helen M. Lampien, 92, formerly of North Prairie, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at The Waters of Westmoreland in Waukesha. She was born Oct. 21, 1907, to Henry and Catherine (nee Mueller) Dabel in Genesee.

Helen had farmed with her late husband, Edward, in North Prairie. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Prairie.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Kenneth) Bethke of Waukesha and Sue (Charles) Boehlke of Thorp; her grandchildren, Bruce, Paul, David (Heather) and Michael; her sister-in-law, Pauline Dable of Waukesha; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; four brothers, William, Edward, John and Ernest; two sisters, Dorothy Turner and Elizabeth Leisten; and one grandson, Daniel.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Prairie; Pastor Edward Eggert and Pastor Mark Gefaller will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the services at the church. Burial will be at the North Prairie Cemtery.

Memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church are appreciated.

Clyde Tino Pax
WAUKESHA - Clyde Tino Pax, 74, found peace on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Pat Pax (nee Scheu); loving father of Tom Pax, Mitchell (Celine) Pax and Jennifer Lynn (Ricardo) Rodriquez, and stepfather of Mark (Carol) Bloede and John (Brenda) Bloede, all of Waukesha; proud grandfather of Crystal Rodriquez, Anthony and Christopher Pax, Maribeth, Ashley, Kirstin and Greg Bloede, all of Waukesha; dear brother of Paulene (Martin) Riesland of Waukesha; and brother-in-law of Trudy (Ronald) Jenkins of North Prairie and Trudy (J.D.) Rieslinger of Bradenton, Fla. He is also survived by many precious nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Clyde was born in Beloit on Sept. 17, 1926, and was a longtime resident of Waukesha. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1948. For the last four years he served as a camp host at J-5 RV Park at Mission, Texas, and at the Kettle Moraine State Forest campground at Whitewater Lake Recreation Area.

Funeral services for Clyde will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. Pastor Rod Resheske will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.

Inez Perryman
NORTH PRAIRIE - Inez Perryman, born Oct. 12, 1943, in Springdale, Ark., the daughter of Harry and Thelma (nee Collins) Martin, died Saturday, Oct, 14, 2000, at the age of 57. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene, and will be sadly missed by her children, Carrie (Gary) Ahrens of Eagle, Doug (Wanda) Barnes of Gainesville, Ga., Rick Barnes of Joplin, Mo., Mark (Christi) Barnes of Jefferson, David (Carrie) Perryman of Welch, Okla., and Cheri (Rocky) Davidson of Quapaw, Okla.; her brothers, Bob (Colleen) Martin of Springdale, Ark., and Don Martin of Elm Springs, Ark.; and 15 grandchildren. She will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Inez, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in Springdale, Ark. Burial will follow in Elm Springs cemetery.

Esther E. Hunter
WAUKESHA - Waukesha resident Esther E. Hunter died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at The Waters of Westmoreland at the age of 91. She was born on Feb. 19, 1909, in the town of Lowell to the late Frank and Anna (nee Schmeling) Boettcher. She had worked at Allis Chalmers, retiring in 1971, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She will be sadly missed by her grandson, Dean Sossaman. She was the beloved great-grandmother of Sarah and Noah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Earl Hunter, on Jan. 13, 2000, and her daughter, Janet O’Conner.

No formal services will be held. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Highland Memorial Park.

Hazel H. Jensen
WAUKESHA - Hazel H. Jensen, Of Waukesha, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at The Waters of Westmoreland Health Care Center at the age of 93. She was born Sept. 25, 1907, in Saxeville, the daughter of Henry and Alvina (nee Pietz) Loerke.

Hazel was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha and the Ladies Aide Society at the church. She was a former member of the Waukesha Golden Agers. She is survived by nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, in May of 1978. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Otto, Louis, Clarence and Alma.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha; Pastor Scott Oelhafen will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A private interment will be held at Prairie Home cemetery.

Memorials to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

George J. Leitinger Jr.
WEST ALLIS - George J. Leitinger Jr. died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at his home in West Allis at the age of 47. He was born in Waukesha on Nov. 19, 1952, the son of George J. and Joanne (nee Susek) Leitinger Sr.

George was an industrial engineer for the former Navistar Corporation, now International Truck & Engine Corporation. He is the beloved husband of Carol (nee Loeffler), whom he married on June 18, 1993, in Muskego. He is the dear father of Kurt of Madison, Jennifer (Robert) Wild of Turkey, Carri (Paul) Steinbauer of Elkhorn and Amy Hill of West Allis. He is the dear son of Joanne Leitinger of Muskego and the dear brother of Michael (Cheryl) of Waukesha, Robert of Waukesha, David (Margaret) of Genesee and Judy (Ray) Marsh of Muskego. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George J. Leitinger Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. Rev. Roger Patton will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Private burial will take place at Prairie Home cemetery.

Memorials would be appreciated to either the American Cancer Society or the Vernon Presbyterian Church.
