Marie I. Newton
NEWNAN, Ga. - Marie I. Newton (nee Strege) of Newnan, Ga., formerly of Pewaukee, was born to eternal life at her home on Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, at the age of 80. Marie was born in Sister Bay on April 16, 1920, to Fredrick and Ida Strege.

She was the loving mother of Arlene (Tom) Mikolaitas of Newnan, Ga., William (Char) Newton of Ashland, Sheila Newton of Newnan, Ga., Carolyn (Bob) Heywood of Charleston, Ill., and Rosemarie (Ben) Rebolloso of Waukesha; the fond sister of Lucille Fockler of Waukesha and sister-in-law of Rose Strege of Waukesha. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Ida Strege; her husband, William Sr.; her son, Roger Allen; her brothers, Harvey, Russell and Carl Strege; and her brother-in-law, Vern Fockler. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Yonke & Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee; Rev. William McBride officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Forest Hill cemetery in Pewaukee.

Elsie Stuart
PEWAUKEE - Elsie Stuart (nee Molkentin), of Pewaukee, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at the age of 109. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Stuart and is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation and funeral services for Elsie were held at 12:30 p.m. today, Oct. 17, at Heritage Funeral Home, 6615 W. Oklahoma Ave., Milwaukee, with interment at Arlington Park cemetery.

Jeremiah Erving Dulau
WAUKESHA - Jeremiah Erving Dulau of Waukesha died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at The Waters of Westmoreland at the age of 69. Jeremiah was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 27, 1931, the son of Jerome and Eleanor Dulau. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Jeremiah will be deeply missed by his twin sister, Joycelyn (Roderick) Moritz of Waukesha; his sister, Eunice Schwab of Milwaukee; his nieces and nephews, Linda, Michael, Renee, Paul and Mary; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral Mass for Jeremiah will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 18, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Michael Michalski will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery in Waukesha.

Ronald Floyd Putz
WAUKESHA - Waukesha resident Ronald Floyd Putz, 67, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at The Waters of Westmoreland. Ronald was born Jan. 9, 1933, in Waukesha, to Floyd and Margaret (nee Donner) Putz. He was a graduate of Waukesha High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as military policeman during the Korean Conflict. After his service he worked for the Waukesha Police Department for six years and then delivered heating oil for 35 years, most recently at Hopson Oil Co. in Waukesha from 1986 until his retirement in 1998.

On July 30, 1983, Ronald married the former Susan Bouchard, who lovingly survives him. He is also the beloved father of Betsy (Donald) Abts of the town of Genesee, Thomas Putz of West Bend, Susan (Gary) Ramos of Waukesha, William (Beatrice) Putz of California and stepson, Jason (Lori) Morris of Waukesha. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren, Nastassia Putz, Ashley Ramos, Derek Ramos, Mikayla Ramos, Stephanie Beres, Jennifer Beres, Heather Beres, Jaclyn Beres, Christina Abts, Tara Morris, Alexandria Putz and Alysia Putz; and his brothers, Charles (Janice) Putz of Waukesha and Thomas (Joan) Putz of Slinger. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Princess and Toby, and his cat, Kekers.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, also at the funeral home with the Rev. Rod Resheske officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Prairie Home cemetery in Waukesha.

Judith ‘Judi’ Anne Fargo
PEWAUKEE - Judith "Judi" Anne Fargo died Tuesday morning, Oct. 17, 2000, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee at the age of 60. She was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Bernard J. and Kathleen (nee Christman) Booton.

She was a member of Queen of Apostles Catholic Church in Pewaukee. Prior to that, Judi was a very active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pewaukee and a member of the Christian Mothers’ Society. Judi was a very good baker, having baked for Waukesha County Technical College, Waukesha County and Old World Wisconsin. She also worked in the mailroom at WCTC.

She was the beloved wife of Patrick, whom she married Nov. 11, 1959. She was the dear mother of Kim Marie (Wayne) Quade of Brandon, John Fargo of Pewaukee, Kathy Ann (Scott) Preston of California and Tony (Kim) Fargo of Allenton. She was the dear grandmother of Nicole, Gina, Christopher and Domonic Quade, Megan Preston, Robert E. Lee Preston and Corrisa Fargo. She was the sister of Patricia (Al) Patin of Greendale and Beatrice (Art) Posaltt of Cedar Lake. Also surviving are other relatives and friends. Judi was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Kathleen Booton, and her sister, Claire.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Oct. 19, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, from the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Boulevard to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pewaukee for the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. The Rev. Michael Grellinger will celebrate Mass.

Roy E. Johnson
MENOMONEE FALLS - Roy E. Johnson, 96, of Menomonee Falls, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Community Memorial Hospital. He was born in Genoa Township, Dekalb County, Ill., on Oct. 31, 1903, to John and Hilda (nee Gronberg) Johnson. He married Esther M. Gronberg on June 13, 1928, in Elgin, Ill.

Roy was a retired assistant plant manager at Pet Milk Co. in Jackson, Miss., and was a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his son, Richard A. (Lorell) Johnson of Germantown. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther; and two brothers, Glenn and Rudolph.

Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Belvidere Funeral Home, 203 Logan Ave., Belvidere, Ill. At 11:45 a.m. there will be a funeral procession from the funeral home to St. James Catholic Church where a funeral Mass will be held at noon. Interment will be at the Highland Garden of Memories.

Richard C. Wrensch
WAUKESHA - Richard C. Wrensch, 90, formerly of Wales, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at The Waters of Westmoreland in Waukesha.

He was born Jan. 1, 1910, in Concord to Richard and Clara (Jung) Wrensch. He was a longtime resident of Wales. He had been a tool and die maker, worked at T.B. State Sanitarium in Wales and at Waukesha Engine.

He is survived by his wife, Stella (nee Howard), to whom he had been married for 67 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Donna (Neil) McNamara of Waukesha, Shirley (Owen) Wald of Waukesha, five grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at North Prairie cemetery. The Rev. Al Nichols officiated.

Bernard George Yopps Jr.
HARRISVILLE - Bernard George Yopps Jr., 70, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at his home near Harrisville. He was born in Waukesha on Oct. 28, 1929, the son of Bernard and Clara (Wisnewski) Yopps Sr.

Bernard served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1948 to 1952. He married the former Sally J. Welch on April 24, 1954, in Waukesha, where they resided until retiring to rural Marquette County (Harrisville) in 1991. He was a 27-year employee of Wisconsin Centrifugal in Waukesha.

He is survived by his wife, Sally, of Harrisville; one son, David Yopps of Mukwonago; three daughters, Kathleen (Gary) Badura of Big Bend, Susan (Richard) Drabeck of Palmyra and Patricia Vandecasteele of Montello; one daughter-in-law, Maureen Schulthess of Packwaukee; and five grandchildren, Michael Drabeck, Mindy Groskrueger, Tyler Vandecasteele, Michaela Yopps and Lindsey Fletcher. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Yopps of Waukesha; and a sister, Jacqueline Yopps.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Steinhaus Funeral Home in Westfield; the Rev. Brenda Ertl will officiate. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family for designation at a later date.

Richard P. ‘Dick’ Coakley
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Richard P. "Dick" Coakley, 75, a World War II veteran and former resident of Waukesha, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at his son’s home in El Dorado Hills, Calif.

Dick married Dorothy Koenigs on June 18, 1949. The couple moved to Grand Junction, Colo., in November 1971.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters and three sons; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Grace Klingler of Wauwatosa.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction; a rosary will be held at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boulder Junction, with entombment at Memorial Gardens cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hospice of the Grand Valley & Palliative Care, P.O. Box 60307, Grand Junction, CO 81506, are appreciated.

Joseph Allen Edwards
DOUSMAN - Joseph Allen Edwards arrived in Marshfield at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at 11:11 p.m. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Jody and Kenneth, and his brother, Kenny. His grandparents are Carol and Allen Walters, Carol and Kenneth Edwards and Kathy and Rex Kanack. His great-grandparents are Verona and Clellon Guinn, Eleanor and Harry Thomas, Betty Edwards and June Bralick. He is further survived by other family and relatives.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday, Oct. 21, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 36821 Sunset Drive, Highway 18, Dousman. Interment will be in Ottawa cemetery.

Robert M. Prouty
WAUKESHA - Robert M. Prouty, 55, of Waukesha, passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000.

He was the loving husband to Susan; father to Robert Scott (Stephanie) and Kimberly Sue (Mark) Benson; brother to Marianne Steiner and Richard Prouty; and beloved grandfather to Katelyn and Ryan Prouty and Christina, Julia, Caitlin, Marcie and Patrick Benson.

Bob was an accomplished racing engine specialist whose talent was respected by all who knew him. His generosity and kindness touched the hearts of many.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 20, at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capital Drive, Brookfield. A memorial service for Bob will be held at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated toward the Bob Prouty Memorial Mechanics Award, which will be presented at the Road America Vintage Race, or to the American Heart Association.

Harry ‘Bud’ Templeton
WAUKESHA - Lifelong Waukesha resident Harry "Bud" Templeton, 75, died peacefully at home Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000. He was born Oct. 17, 1925, to Harry and Anna (nee Gross) Templeton. Mr. Templeton was a graduate of Waukesha High School and started working at Fox’s Dairy in 1940. From 1942 to 1945 he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1945, after returning from the U.S. Navy, he continued his career with Fox’s Dairy, now Golden Guernsey, retiring in 1985. Mr. Templeton loved to golf, bowl, fish and was an all-around avid sportsman. On April 13, 1946, he married Betty (nee Boettcher) Templeton in Waukesha.

He was loved and will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty, and their daughter, Lynn Wilber of Waukesha; four grandchildren, Michael Wilber, Jason Wilber, Kelly Keith and Lindsey Keith, all of Waukesha; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua and Montana Wilber, all of Waukesha. He is further survived by his sisters, Helen (James) Knoebel of Waukesha and Ruth Moore of Genesee. Mr. Templeton was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Keith, in 1999; his brother, Robert Templeton; and his son, Richard Allen.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the funeral service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A second visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 23, at Prairie Home cemetery Chapel from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. graveside service.

Leona H. Anderson
HARTLAND - Leona H. Anderson (nee Children), 83, of Hartland, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000.

She was the dear mother of Dennis (Nancy) Ward of Mukwonago; Thomas of Pewaukee; Ellen Ward of New Jersey; and Frank Ward of Pewaukee.

She was preceded in death by husbands Frank Ward and Harold Anderson and her brother, Eugene Children. She is further survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Leona was the secretary at Gethsemane United Methodist Church for many years and also worked at the American Cancer Society of Waukesha branch for several years. She was the owner and operated the Treasure Chest Variety store for many years on Cottonwood Avenue in Hartland.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Wisconsin Humane Society appreciated.

Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 642 Main St. Interment will be at Stone Bank Presbyterian cemetery.

Harold P. ‘Hal’ Boettcher
WAUKESHA - Harold P. "Hal" Boettcher, of Waukesha, fell asleep in death Friday evening, Oct. 20, 2000, at the age of 77. Dearly loved husband for over 52 years of Dorothy (nee Strandberg). Dearest father of sons and daughters-in-law, David and Susan, John and Christine of Waukesha and Mark and Cynthia of West Bend. Dear grandfather of 10 grandchildren, Michael (Amy), Steven (Heather), Maria, Alan (Alicia), Peter, Joel, Emily, Elizabeth, Erich and Ethan. Great-grandfather of Elsa and Jonah. Also loved by his sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Robert) Perkins of Waukesha, Carol (Herman) Buss of Oconomowoc and Ruth (Jack) Steuerwald of Rhinelander, and a brother-in-law, John (Sharrie) Strandberg of Brooklyn, N.Y., six nieces and eight nephews, also great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and many dear friends.

Harold was born in 1923 in Eagle to Emil and Henrietta Boettcher, grew up and went to school in Waukesha until attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a doctorate in philosophy (mechanics) in 1954. The family moved to Brookfield in 1956 and to Waukesha in 1991.

Dr. Boettcher retired from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as emeritus professor of engineering and computer science in May of 1988, after 25 years of teaching there. He had previously managed the research and development department at A.O. Smith Corp. in Milwaukee, and taught engineering at the UW-Madison. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed maintaining his woods and watching the birds, deer, and other wildlife in the back yard.

Harold Boettcher faithfully served as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 42 years, and served as an elder in the South Congregation in Waukesha.

There will be a memorial service, Charles Waller officiating, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, W230-S3250 Milky Way Road, Waukesha, on Wednesday evening, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m. Friends may visit at the Kingdom Hall from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Watchtower Soceity’s Worldwide Work.

Jean L. Ott
MENOMONEE FALLS - Jean L. Ott, 74, of Menomonee Falls, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000.

Jean was the beloved wife of Robert L. Ott. She was the dear mother of Jean Ellen (Donald) Heyder, R.J. (Evonne), Jonathan, Paul and Christopher William (Amber).

Private family services will be held.
