BUTTERFIELD, George C. 59, Florence, formerly Green Bay. Visitation after 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include his special friend, Diane Mauer; two daughters, Ginny Lou (Victor) Ortiz, Galena Sue Butterfield (Jason Seiler); three grandchildren; four sisters, Joan King, Jean (Charles) Baker, Mary Jo (Richard) Gellin, Charlotte Butterfield.

ETTER, Robert G. Jr., 56, De Pere, died while in the line of duty for the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department. The son of the late Robert G. and Ramona (Buckalew), Etter was born June 6, 1946, in Richmond, Va. Bob married Antoinette (Toni) Klein on Sept. 3, 1966. Being high school sweethearts, they were blessed to have enjoyed nearly 41 years together. Bob was a graduate of East De Pere High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army to serve his country shortly after graduation. During this time he was a transportation specialist, company clerk, training officer and parts manager. From September 1966 until September 1967, he was stationed at Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam, transporting ammunition throughout Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Upon completion of active duty in the Army, Bob returned to De Pere, joining the De Pere Police Department on Jan. 5, 1969 and retiring after 30 years in January 1999. After several other jobs Bob joined the Village of Pulaski Police Department working part-time before joining the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department in March, 2001. Bob received training as a licensed EMT and worked part-time for De Pere Ambulance and Metro Ambulance Service from 1970 to 1982. He held certifications in Breathalyzer, Radar Operator, and Time System Operator (dispatcher).

Bob was a member of Union Congregational Church Green Bay since childhood. He was a past President, Vice-President, and Secretary of the De Pere High School Parents Club. Over the years he was involved in an adoption support group, De Pere Orchestra Parents Club, Wisconsin Law Enforcement Organization, past member of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Shop with a Cop, and State Parent Involvement/Education Policy meetings. Bob's enthusiasm for cars and equipment for police cars was obvious to those who knew him. He also enjoyed music - especially his daughter and son-in-law's concerts. Bob was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and son-in-law who will be deeply missed by his family. Survivors include his wife, Toni; four daughters and a son-in-law, Julie Etter and her fiancé Joe Messerli, De Pere, Jennifer (Chien) Goh, Malaysia, Heidi Etter, UW-Stout, and Hennah Etter, UW-Eau Claire; special grandsons, Michael and Jacob Schultz; their father, Shawn Schultz, De Pere; Brother and sister-in-law, John and Ruth Etter, Allouez; Sisters and brother-in-laws, Cyndi and Brian Yunger, Cincinnati, Ohio; Winnie and Dale Hutjens, De Pere; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Bea Klein, De Pere; Brother- in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Mary Jo Ostrowski, Egg Harbor; Nieces and nephew, Katie and Krystal Ostrowski, Joe and Michael Etter, Sarah and Katie Hutjens, Hannah and Katie Yunger.

Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. On Saturday visitation will continue at Union Congregational Church, 716 S. Madison St. Green Bay from 2:30 p.m. until time of service. Funeral service 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Kay Krejei. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to all those people who have been helpful and supportive during this difficult time. A special thank you to all those who assisted at the accident and for all the support of the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department and other agencies assisting the family.

Funeral Mass 7 p.m. Saturday at the church. Survivors include her parents, Robert and Kathleen (Anderla) Hurning, Black Creek; her fiancé, Mark A. Golomski, Green Bay; her maternal grandmother, Darcella Anderla; one brother, Steven Markins, Eau Claire; one sister, Charity Hurning, Neenah.

NOWAK, Lottie M., 84, Green Bay. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., Green Bay and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Parish Wake Service, 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Russo; one son, Stanley Nowak Jr., and her foster son, Bryan Wrobel.

SCHRAM, Stanley Frank Schram, 72, Vulcan, Mich., formerly Green Bay. Visitation after noon today at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Survivors include two sons, Phil Schram, Janesville, Benjamin (Tracey) Schram, Denmark; two daughters, Julie (Brian) Larson, Aurora, Colo., Becky (Mark) Dittel, Phillips; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom (Pam) Schram, Niagara.

SULLIVAN, Joanne Renee, 25, of Green Bay passed away unexpectedly at her residence Sunday, July 21, 2002. Joanne was born Aug. 4, 1976, the daughter of James and Nancy (Davis) Bara in Tucson, Ariz . On June 5, 1999, she married Mikal Sullivan in Green Bay. Joanne was currently attending Martin College of Cosmetology.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Electra; mother, Nancy Bara of Green Bay; one sister, Elaine (Ruben) Delarosa of Florida; one brother, James Bara of Iowa; maternal grandmother, Florence "Gray-pa" Davis of Florida; paternal grandfather, Marvin Bara of Chicago; several aunts and uncles; one nephew, Jackson Sullivan of Green Bay.

Joanne was preceded in death by her father, James; her maternal grandfather, James "Boss" Davis; paternal grandmother, Lois Bara.

Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, Thursday July 25, 2002 (today), from 9 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

WINGROVE, David T. 65, Allouez, Allouez, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at a local hospital.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez. Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon at the church with the Rev. Paul Demuth officiating.

ETTER Robert G. Jr., 56, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 22, 2002. Friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday. On Saturday visitation will continue from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service at Union Congregational Church, 716 S. Madison St., Green Bay. Funeral service 3:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ray Krejci officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established. A complete obituary will be in Thursday's paper.

FIGUERO, Charity J. Trester 28, of Casselberry, Fla., was taken from us unexpectedly on July 20, 2002. Loving daughter, wife and mother, passionate about life, trusted friend and confidant; perceptive and sensitive; wonderfully twisted sense of humor; opportunity lost. She will always live in our hearts.

She is survived by her mother, Jo Lea (Teara); stepfather, Tony; father, John Trester of Green Bay; husband, Frank (Larak); children, Caleb and Melissa, and many close friends.

BIRDSALL, Anna 92, Green Bay and formerly of Maplewood passed away on July 21, 2002 after a two year courageous battle with cancer. Special recognition is given to Unity Hospice of Green Bay for their ongoing support.

Anna was born July 24, 1909, in Maplewood to John and Margareth (Massmann) Bretl. She married on Aug. 22, 1933, at Holy Name of Mary parish in Maplewood to Laurence Birdsall; the couple retired to Green Bay. They were members of St. Mary of the Angels parish. A loving mother, skilled seamstress and cook, Anna's mission in life was to serve others. She was active in parish work and 4-H.

Anna is survived by three children, Father Anthony Birdsall, Sturgeon Bay, Margaret (Robert) Strom and Carol (Dr. Kenneth) Neuser, Green Bay; Grandchildren include Sue (Scott) Sauer; Dr. Sharon (Steve) Little, Steve, Sean, Scott Strom; Teresa (Dr. Jean-Marie Geoffroy): Maria (James) Totzke; Mark (Katie) Neuser; Great-Grandchildren, Claire, Natalie, Elyse, Geoffroy; Elizabeth and Kathryn Totzke; Anna Little; A sister in law, Marion Birdsall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence, on March 17, 1995, and nine siblings, Leo, Mary, Anton, Theresa, Alex, John, Joseph Louis and Lawrence also by three brothers in law, Dr. Ben Birdsall, Hugh Birdsall and Father Richard Birdsall.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 24, 2001, at 11 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, Sturgeon Bay, her son, the Rev. Anthony Birdsall, and nephew, the Rev. Hugh Birdsall, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Maplewood. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home, Sturgeon Bay. A rosary service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.Tuesday and a prayer service will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Unity Hospitce (Green Bay) or the Education Endowment Fund at either Corpus Christi parish or St. Mary of the Angels.

As part of her 90th birthday celebration, Anna authored "Reflections: Memories of 90 years," concluding with the following: "This is the story of my life. I have had a good life and continue, inasmuch as possible, to enjoy life. And I am ready, at any time, to meet my Creator, knowing that death is part of life."

CUBITT, Parris "Buck" Edward Jr., 77. Private service. Survivors include his wife, Jeannie; two sons, Thomas (Sally) Cubitt, Green Bay, Jim (Terri) Cubitt, Oshkosh; three daughters, Mary (Leo) Naidl, Whitelaw, Karen Rakich, Oshkosh, Kathleen Word, Oshkosh; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her parents, Clifford and Viola Deprez; one brother, Jason Desprez, Sheboygan; one sister, Melissa Deprez, New Franken; her paternal grandmother, Bernadette Deprez, Luxemburg.
