Johnny Dale Dennison, 58, of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, formerly of Ona, W.Va, passed away April 30, 2005, at his home. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Larry Skidmore. Burial in Blue Sulphur Cemetery. He was the son of John Dennison of Ona, W.Va. and Luvenia Smith of Chesapeake, Ohio, and also survived by his stepmother Mildred Dennison. He was preceded in death by one son, John Fausto Dennison; stepsister, Sue Messenger and one granddaughter, Amanda Dennison. He served in the U.S. Army for 18 years. Also surviving are his wife, Conseulo Dennison of Mexico; one daughter, Joanie Dennison and one grandson, Spencer Dennison both of Florida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Becky Dennison of Ona and Barney and Alisha Dennison of Ashland, Ky.; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Richard Kipp of Chesapeake, Ohio. James “Tony” Thompson
James “Tony” Thompson, 69 of Barboursville passed away May 3, 2005, at home. Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, by Dr. Jerry Warren. He was born February 18, 1936 in Barboursville, a son of the late James Thompson and Evelyn Burks Thompson McCondy. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Homer McCondy, who was also his best friend and whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Jean Hughes Thompson, and also a first cousin, Charlene Clay, whom he has always considered as a sister, and her husband, Dan, and also a very special cousin, Dianne Bird and her husband, Gary; and one stepson, John Armstrong of Chesapeake, Ohio. Gregory S. Wagoner, Sr., July 17, 1952 - April 28, 2005, 52, of Barboursville, WV, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 in the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in Wayne County, W.Va. He was born July 17, 1952, in Huntington, a son of the late Virgil Edgar Wagoner and Vonda Palmaneda Smith Wagoner Meadows, who were residents of Chesapeake, Ohio, at the time of his birth. He was a 1971 graduate of Barboursville High School. Mr. Wagoner was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Persian Gulf War. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2ND), Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Star and Battle “E' Ribbon. He is survived by his brother, David Wagoner of Huntington; ex-wife, Rhonda S. Wagoner of Barboursville; his son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Paige A. Wagoner, who reside in Mwanza, Tanzania; his daughter, Kimberly D. Wagoner of Huntington, four grandchildren, Abigail Ruth, Joseph Stephen, Susanna Leigh and Christine Nicole, also of Mwanza, Tanzania; and one aunt. Sylvia Kingery, 91 of Ona passed away Friday, May 6, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Paul Spence and the Rev. Tracy Mills officiating. Burial in Barker Ridge Cemetery. She was born September 15, 1913, a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Shull Meadows. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Corbett Kingery, and one daughter, Mary Frances Kingery. Rev. John W. Lanier Sr.
The Rev. John W. Lanier Sr., 85, of South Charleston died Sunday, April 24, 2005.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Knapp Lanier, his second wife, Margaret Barker Lanier, parents, James W. and Mimmie S. Lanier, sisters, Ruth A. Racer and Mary E. Dent, granddaughter, Heath Dawn Lanier, and great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Elaine Lanier.
Born February 5, 1920 in Winfield, he was a veteran of World War II. He was a 1937 graduate of Hurricane High School and a graduate of Capital Commercial College. He was a mail carrier in the Winfield area for several years and retired from Union Carbide. He was also a retired minister.
Surviving: sons and daughters-in-law, James and Carolyn Lanier of St. Albans, Daniel and Dessie Lanier of South Charleston, John Jr. and Lori Lanier of Charleston; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Philip Turley, Betty and Freddy Bell, all of South Charleston; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Service was held Wednesday, April 27, 2005. at Mountain Heights Church, South Charleston, with the Rev. Benjamin Pauley officiating. Burial was in Beech Hill Cemetery, Mason County. Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, was in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy B. Priddy
Dorothy Beatrice Lucas Priddy, 92, of Rock Branch died April 25, 2005.
She was a native of Martins Branch and married Clayton Henry Priddy Sr. on October 6, 1932. She was saved in 1933 at Rock Branch Church of God Mission. She was Adult Bible class teacher at Nitro Church of the Nazarene for 32 years and a member of Heizer Creek Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Nellie Ann Cook, son, Paul R. Priddy, parents, Henry and Ava Elizabeth Bailey Lucas, sister, Gladys Smith, and brothers, James, Eugene, Ralph and Leroy Lucas.
Surviving: children, Charles A. Priddy and wife, Donna, of Old Fort, Ohio, Frank L. Priddy and wife, Brenda, of Pickerington, Ohio, John L. Priddy and wife, Earlene, of Nitro, Sharlotte Snyder and husband, Sam, of Cross Lanes, Clayton H. Priddy Jr. and wife, Pat, of Scott Depot, and Mary E. Sizemore and husband, Charles, of Rock Branch; sister, Edith Gott and husband, Ernest, of Watha, North Carolina; son-in-law, Harold Cook of Nitro; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and special friend, Drema Payne.
Service was held Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, Poca, with Pastor Randy Carter and Rev. Ray Humphrey officiating. Burial was in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.

Edna “Missy” Null Crosetti, 57, of Pickerington, Ohio died April 16, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church and Columbus Transportation Club. She was currently employed with Hoover Transportation and formerly employed with Federal Glass.
She was preceded in death by father, Leslie Null, and brother Gary Null.
Surviving: husband Peter M. Crosetti; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Joe Schweitzer of Westerville; grandchildren, Katelin and Caleb Schweitzer; mother, Lula Belle Null of Red House; brother, Leslie Null of Springfield, Ohio; sister, Lois Fauber of Hurricane; many nieces and nephews.
Service was held Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Maxine Smith-Pierce officiating. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Graumlich & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Eleanor Casto Lawson, 66, of Hurricane, formerly of Red House, died April 26, 2005.
She was retired from John Henson Senior Center and she was especially known for her respect and service to others in the community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Casto.

Robert Allen Jeffers, 16, of Ashton died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at home.
He was a tenth grade student at Hannan High School.

Arthur Barthelmess
Arthur Barthelmess, 75, of Hurricane, formerly of St. Albans, died Suddenly April 30, 2005, at the East Cooper medical Center, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, while visiting friends.
Born May 29, 1929 in Beckley, he was a son of the late Steven and Donna Lonker Barthelmess.
In addition of his parents, he was receded in death by his wife, Shirley.
He was a graduate of Concord College, a member of Highlawn Presbyterian Church, St. Albans, Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, and was a member of Washington Masonic Lodge No. 589, AF & AM, St. Albans. He was a retired chemist with Union Carbide Corporation and a retired registrar with the West Virginia Division of Vital Statistics. He also served as a former Kanawha County Magistrate. He served his country during the Korean Era with the U.S. Army.
Surviving: sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Tammy Barthelmess of St. Albans, Steve and Diane Williamson Barthelmess and Brett and Angie Barthelmess, all of Hurricane; daughter, Beverly Taylor and husband, Tim of Crystal Lake, Illinois; grandsons, Colby and Alec Barthelmess, Justin and Joe Taylor, and Blake Williamson; granddaughters, Erin and Megan Barthelmess and Ann Taylor; mother-in-law, Sybil Rupe of St. Albans.
A celebration of his life was held Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Chapman Funeral Home, Teays Valley. Burial was private at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Donna Jo Harlan, 62, of Cape Coral, Fla, formerly of Milton died Tuesday in Cape Coral Hospital. She was born June 26,1942, in Huntington, daughter of Woodrow “Woody” Reynolds of Cape Coral, and the late Erma Lucille Nicely Reynolds, who died in 2003. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Harlan. She was a member of Seventh Avenue Baptist Church, Huntington and of the order of Eastern Star #149 at Milton In addition to her father, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth E. Harlan Jr. and Becky of Ackworth, Ga., a daughter, Kimberly Catania of Cape Coral; four grandchildren, Anthony and Taylor Catania of Cape Coral, and Chloe and Kamron Harlan of Ackworth Ga.; a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Danny Chapman of Cape Coral; and a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Lonnie W. Brock, 67, of Huntington passed away Thursday, April 28, 2005, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a loving husband and father. He was born May 22,1937, in Brodhead, Ky., a son of the late Garfield and Alkie Saylor Brock. He was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Lamb, and two brothers, J.D. and Ed Brock. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Stevens Brock; was the loving father of three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa J. and Mike Lake of Greensboro, N.C., Rebecca L. and Mark Crowder of Franklin, Tenn., and Ann M. and Dale Rayburn of Barboursville; four grandchildren, Brittney N. and Bradley M.
