Warren D. Richards
SALEM -- Warren Dewayne Richards, 45, of Water Street, died Friday, July 16, 1999, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 22, 1953, in Grafton, a son of Aubry Richards and the late Edna Ruth Fulton Richards.
Surviving are his stepmother, Mary Cummings Richards; two brothers, John Neil Richards, Mt. Clare, and David Clyde Richards, Salem; one sister, Brenda Lynn Richards, Stonewood; one stepbrother, James L. Cummings, Philippi; one stepsister, Denise Karlen, Mt. Clare; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Richards was Protestant.
He was a former employee of R.G. Motors and Harry Green Chevrolet.
Friends will be received at the Greathouse Funeral Home, Salem Chapel, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Paul Flanigan conducting the service. Interment will follow in the K.P. Memorial Park.

Annie Richman
FAIRMONT -- Annie Patton Richman, 61, of Fairmont, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born July 16, 1938, in Hudson, N.Y., a daughter of the late William J. and Gertrude F. Welch Patton.
Her husband, Jack G. Richman, whom she married on May 10, 1988, survives.
Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Debbie Ray Scanlon, Hermosa Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Jennifer Jane Scanlon, Redondo Beach, Calif.; one stepson, Jack G. Richman Jr., Litchfield, N.H.; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Robin S. Richman and Timothy Shea, Hollis, N.H.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Toni and Robert Finch, Hudson, N.Y., and Jane and Vernon Mize, Baldwinsville, N.Y.; two stepgrandchildren, Cillian Shea and Morgan Shea, Hollis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Olive Patton; and one aunt, Gertrude Biery.
Mrs. Richman was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Fairmont Field Club bridge groups.
Mrs. Richman enjoyed her home and garden.
She was a Roman Catholic.
Friends will be received at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jude Molnar and Bob Kidwell officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Cedar Park cemetery in Hudson, N.Y.

Charles E. Stout
FLATWOODS -- Charles Eugene Stout, 75, of Riffle, died Friday, July 16, 1999, at the Louis A. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Braxton County, a son of the late Otis Leonard and Mary Byrd Riffle Stout.
His wife, Louise Stout, preceded him in death on Sept. 12, 1976.
Surviving are three daughters, Roberta Ann Stout, Millersville, Md., Carol Elizabeth Stout, Riffle, and Charmain Sue Watson, Richmond, Va.; two sons, David Allen Young, Maryland, and Calvin Eugene Young, Glen Burnie, Md.; one sister, Mary Gene McAtee, Gulfport, Miss.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Mr. Stout was a retired truck driver for Mrs. Smith's Pie Co.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Mr. Stout was a Methodist.
He had a love for horses his whole life.
Friends will be received at the Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home, Flatwoods, from 6-9 p.m. today. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Pleasant Dale Methodist Church at Riffle with the Rev. William E. Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Riffle cemetery in Riffle.

Dominick J. Bellotte
MORGANTOWN -- Dominick J. Bellotte, 83, of Dorsey Avenue, Morgantown, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at his residence.
He was born June 28, 1916, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Samuel and Grace Piazetti Bellotte.
His wife of 53 years, Bernadine Ford Bellotte, survives.
Also surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel and Tami Bellotte, Charlestown, Michael and Marsha Bellotte, Morgantown, Paul Bellotte, Wheeling, and Charlie and Louisa Bellotte, Wasilla, Alaska; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dwight Pauley, Morgantown; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Sara) Schepke, Seminole, Fla., and Mrs. Thomas (Rosalie) Hailey, Monroeville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bellotte was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church.
He graduated from Victory High School in 1933.
Mr. Bellotte served 3 1/2 years in the U.S. Air Force.
He retired from the Federal Aviation Agency after 40 years of employment.
Mr. Bellotte was a Third Degree Knight, a life member of the Knights of Columbus in Morgantown, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 548, served in the CCC, and was a life member of the National Association of Civilian Conservation Corps Alumni.
Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Colombo Bandiera as celebrant. Interment will follow in the East Oak Grove cemetery. A scriptural wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 548 will conduct graveside military services.

Alden H. Dorsey
Alden Hawkins Dorsey, 84, of Franklin died Friday, July 16, 1999, in Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg following an extended illness.
He was born April 6, 1915, in Fowler Knob, Nicholas County, a son of the late John and Margaret Jane O'Dell Dorsey.
His wife, Orland Rose Ruddle Dorsey, whom he married on Dec. 21, 1946, survives.
Also surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, John P. Dorsey, Franklin, and William O. and Linda Dorsey, Clarksburg; three daughters, Mrs. Danny (Mary Rose) Junkins, Arthur, Mrs. Greg (Sherry) Chambers, Franklin, and Mrs. Randy (Angie) Donlin, Fairmont; one stepson, James R. Smith, Hanceville, Ala.; one sister, Velma Hughes, Mt. Nebo; six grandchildren, Jennifer E. Dorsey, Abby Junkins, Christopher Donlin, Heather Donlin, Emily Chambers and Allison Chambers; two stepgrandchildren, Kristine Smith and Michael Smith.
He was also preceded in death by one infant son, Reginald Dorsey, and one brother, Charles Dorsey.
Mr. Dorsey was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and he had served as elder and in many other offices of the church.
He attended Nicholas County High School, graduated from Morgantown High School in 1938, and graduated from West Virginia University in 1942.
Mr. Dorsey was a well-known teacher in Franklin. Starting his career in teaching at Circleville High School in Circleville in January 1943, he moved to Franklin in 1946. Teaching at Franklin High School, he taught biology, science, vocational agriculture, industrial arts and farm mechanics shop. He retired in 1980 with 37 1/2 years of service.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Franklin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Brian D. Weger presiding. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill cemetery in Franklin.
Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, Clarksburg, is in charge of the arrangements.

William B. Ervin
William B. Ervin, 77, of 15 Hayes St., Clarksburg, died at 5:20 a.m. Sunday, July 18, 1999, in Heartland of Clarksburg.
He was born Aug. 27, 1921, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Guy and Josephine Hefner Ervin.
His wife, Bette Newell Ervin, whom he married in 1945, survives.
Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Michael B. and Christy Ervin, Buckhannon; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brett Ervin, Buckhannon, and one stepgranddaughter, Jennifer Giaquinto, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ervin was Methodist.
He was a member of the Clarksburg Civitan Club and the Clarksburg Bowling League.
Mr. Ervin had been an officer and active participant with the Harrison County Sheltered Workshop.
He was one of the founders of the local area Pop Warner program.
Mr. Ervin was a 1939 graduate of Washington Irving High School and graduated from the Bowling Green College of Commerce in 1949.
Throughout his high school, college, military service and community life, he had excelled in athletics, especially baseball and basketball.
Mr. Ervin was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a certified public accountant and had retired in 1986 from Tetrick & Bartlett Co., P.L.L.C., where he was a tax partner for 30 years. Prior to his affiliation with the accounting firm, he had been a special revenue agent with the Internal Revenue Service for seven years.
Friends will be received at Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main St., Clarksburg, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Bridgeport cemetery with the Rev. Craig Michel conducting the service.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial contributions be made to: North Central West Virginia Chapter, Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 4543, Star City, WV 26504-4543.

Samuel J. Harris
BUCKHANNON -- Samuel Junior Harris, 75, of Route 10, Box 404, Buckhannon, died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 1999, at his residence.
He was born April 30, 1924, in Handy Camp, a son of the late Samuel Cooper and Myrtle Lee Bennett Harris.
His wife, Naomi Polan Harris, whom he married on May 5, 1957, survives.
Also surviving are seven daughters, Natalee Dale Stillion, Cambridge, Ohio, Melody June McVay, Crystal Darlene Harris and June Ann Mealey, all of Buckhannon, Sandra Lucille Kesling, Jane Lew, Janice Marie Ball, Kesling Mill, and Melissa Anderson, Ellamore; three sons, Nelson George Harris, Teays Valley, Jackie Lee Harris, Roosevelt, Utah, and Rex Edward Harris, Vernal, Utah; one sister, Mary Parsons, Pittsburgh, Pa.; three brothers, Lyle Harris and Jim Harris, both of Buckhannon, and Burl Harris, Kesling Mill; 25 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Gray Harris; two sisters, Geraldine Cockerill and Augustine Boyce, and one brother, King Harris.
Mr. Harris was a coal miner.
He was Methodist.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, 95 S. Kanawha St., Buckhannon, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church cemetery.

Mary S. Mawyer
Mary S. Mawyer, 89, of Hamill Avenue, Clarksburg, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born May 15, 1910, in Aviles, Spain, a daughter of the late Manuel and Sabina Rodriguez Fernandez.
Her husband, Charles Mawyer, preceded her in death on April 30, 1985.
Surviving are twin daughters, Sabina Mawyer, Clarksburg, and Mrs. Michael (Trena) Kirk, Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Mrs. Shane (Jennifer) Wilhelm, Mrs. Michael (Michelle) Fincham, Mrs. Joseph (Bridget) Sugars, Robert Kirk and Patricia Kirk; three sisters, Mrs. Nieves Gonzalez, Clarksburg, Mrs. Eleina Cistaro, Clarksburg, and Mrs. Josephine Fernandez, Clarksburg, and four great-grandsons.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Freeman Fernandez, Albert Fernandez, George Fernandez and Joe Fernandez, and one infant sister, Angelina Fernandez.
Mrs. Mawyer was a past state president of the Letter Carriers Ladies Auxiliary, a past local president of the Letter Carriers Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Hispanic Club, and a member of St. James Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the St. James Altar Rosary Society.
Friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home, 443 W. Pike St., Clarksburg, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Robert A. Perriello as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to People's Hospice, P.O. Box 1680, Clarksburg, WV 26302-1680 or Boys Town.

Cynthia D. Posey
WESTON -- Cynthia Dawn Posey, 23, of 160 Logan Road, Dillsburg, Pa., formerly of Weston, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 1999, in Mechanicsburg, Pa., following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Jan. 6, 1976, in Buckhannon, the daughter of Arkie D. Posey and Carol Cox Posey.
Surviving are her father's companion, Bernadine Johnson; her mother's companion, James Carder; her maternal grandfather, Elmer "Jack" Cox, Route 4, Weston, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Miss Posey was a 1994 graduate of Lewis County High School. She was employed by Shaffer Trucking in Carlisle, Pa. Miss Posey enjoyed hockey and was an avid NASCAR fan. She was Methodist.
Friends will be received at Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Ave., Weston, from 6-9 p.m. today. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Martin Wine officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew.
