Clara Cutright
WESTON -- Clara Bell Burkhammer Cutright, 68, of 758 Craig St., Weston, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following a brief illness.
She was born March 31, 1931, in Lewis County, a daughter of Freda Harris Burkhammer, Weston, and the late Floyd Burkhammer.
Her husband, Ezra Junior Cutright, whom she married on June 10, 1948, survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Dana E. Cutright, Michael D. Cutright and Melvin Cutright, all of Weston, and Larry "LJ" Cutright, Jane Lew; two brothers, Darrell Burkhammer, Route 4, Weston, and Charles Burkhammer, Weston; one sister, Mary Taylor, Route 4, Weston; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Glen Burkhammer.
Mrs. Cutright was a homemaker and a Jehovah's Witness.
Friends will be received at the Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Ave., Weston, from 5-8 p.m. today.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Phillip Losh officiating. Interment will follow in the Carder cemetery in Vadis.

Earl Glover
ALMA -- Earl Glover, 84, of Jacksonburg, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in the Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville.
He was a son of the late Francis Asbury and Ida Mae Lemasters Glover.
His wife, Edith McIntyre Glover, survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Stephen Paul, Kenneth L. Earl Stanley and Donald L. Glover, all of Jacksonburg; one stepson, Gene McIntyre, Athens, Texas; one daughter, Barbara Robinson, Salisbury, N.C.; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Glover was a retired employee of the Tyler County Board of Education, a farmer and a mail carrier.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Glover was a member of the Alvy United Methodist Church.

Bennie D. Jordan
TENNERTON -- Bennie Delmas Jordan, 56, of Route 1, Frenchton Road, French Creek, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born March 11, 1943, in Chestnut Grove, Webster County, a son of Bennie Jordan, Replete, and the late Juanita Robinson Jordan.
His wife, Vickie L. Tenney Jordan, survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Bennie Delmas Jordan Jr., Weston, Delmas Wade Jordan, Diana, Scott Allen Jordan, Erie, Pa., and Derek Keith Jordan, at home; four daughters, Evelyn Kathleen Stackpole, Clarksburg Road, Buckhannon, Linda Lucille Jordan, Maysville, Grant County, Crystal Joni Lynn Jordan and Sarah Emma Jo Jordan, both at home; four grandchildren, Dakota Keith Jordan, French Creek, Timothy Gooden II, Hodgesville, Mac Crawford and Melinda Crawford, both of Maysville; one half-sister, Pam Moats, Webster County; and one half-brother, Rick Bender, Webster County.
He was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Loretta Ann Casto; and one half-sister, Carol Jane Robinson.
Mr. Jordan attended the French Creek United Methodist Church.

Macel M. Miller
PHILIPPI -- Macel May Miller, 97, of Route 1, Moatsville, recently of the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center in Belington, died at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 1999, in the Broaddus Hospital in Philippi.
She was born Oct. 23, 1901, in Nestorville, a daughter of the late Samuel L. and Emma Genevieve Sturm Marsh.
Her husband, Bradford H. Miller, preceded her in death on March 6, 1972.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Cheedle (Emma Genevieve) McGilberry, Graham, Wash.; one son, Samuel A. Miller, Moatsville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Karen miller, Moatsville, Sue and Iryil Jones, Keyser, Ga., Georgia and Larry Auker, Auburn, Wash., and Allen and Beverley McGilberry, Graham; one sister, Mabel Adams, Nestorville; 13 great-grandchildren and one-great-great-granddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Elizabeth Shaffer, Hazel Nestor, and Blanche Martha Auvil; and two brothers, Creed Marsh and Forrest Marsh.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker.
As a young adult, she served several years as a school teacher.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Mt. Morris United Methodist Church.

Stella L. Simmons
GLENVILLE -- Stella L. Simmons, 90, of Cox's Mill, died at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 1999, in the Sunrise of Glenville Health Care Center in Glenville following an extended illness.
She was born April 3, 1909, in Braxton County, a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Samantha Collins White.
Her husband, Burl Simmons, preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Paul W. and Edgar L. "Eddie Doc" Simmons, both of Cox's Mill; three daughters, Glenna B. Moyers, Glenville, Wanda L. Adams, Navarre, Ohio, and Nyla S. Altfather, Polk, Ohio; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She also preceded in death by one son, one brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker.
She was a former employee of Glenville State College and the Gilmer County Board of Education.
Mrs. Simmons was a member of the Cox's Mill Homemakers Club.
She was Protestant.

E. Louise Barker
E. Louise Barker, 90, of Route 3, Clarksburg, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 13, 1908, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Andrew and Ada Cobun Ridenour.
On Oct. 8, 1932, she married Bert W. Barker, who preceded her in death on March 10, 1979.
Surviving are two daughters, Beverly L. Rinker, Bridgeport, and Karen Carnes, Clarksburg; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Simpson, Bristol, Pamela Shaw, Lexington, Ky., Timothy W. Rinker, Bridgeport and John Carnes, Clarksburg; three great-granddaughters, Kathryn Shaw, Mallory Rinker and Sarah Carnes.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert E. Ridenour ; and one infant daughter, Florence Jean Barker.
Mrs. Barker was a member of the Hepzibah Baptist Church, Queen Esther Chapter No. 11, Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Women of the Moose, Harrison County Senior Citizens Center, and the YWCA. She was a homemaker.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Davis-Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dorothy Buchanan
BUCKHANNON -- Dorothy Buchanan, 87, of Buckhannon Board and Care, Buckhannon, died at 12:25 p.m., Monday, July 26, 1999, in the center.
She was born July 13, 1912, in French Creek, a daughter of the late Perry Loudin and Jane Phillips Loudin Howes.
On Sept. 17, 1932, she married Willis Buchanan, who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1995.
Surviving are one daughter, Billie Harris, Aliquippa, Pa.; three granddaughters, Susan Harris, Aliquippa, Angela Caplinger, Monaca, Pa., and Amy Harris, Las Vegas, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Derek Caplinger and Danielle Caplinger, both of Monaca.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Rex, Arthur and Brent Loudin; one sister, Maisie Hodges; and one grandson, Randy Harris.
Mrs. Buchanan was a homemaker. She was a member of Laurel Fork United Methodist Church, Buckhannon Pythian Sisters Temple and the Extension Homemakers Club.

Mabel S. Davis
Mabel Sylvia Davis, 97, of Heartland, Clarksburg, formerly of Worley Avenue, Clarksburg, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, in Heartland.
She was born Feb. 9, 1902, in Marshville, a daughter of the late Earl and Rosella Lanham Robinson.
Her husband, Audie O. Davis, whom she married in 1942, preceded her in death in 1962.
Surviving are five grandchildren, Mrs. Burton (Patty) Martin, Richard Nuzum, Edgar P. McDougal II, Mrs. Judith Siders and Mrs. James (Cassandra) Duncan; 16 great-grandchildren; and one niece, Mrs. Herbert (Beth Ann) Carlen.
She was also preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Catherine McDougal and Virginia Nuzum; three sisters, Lorraine Lenardson, Velva Vine and Mary Lynn Robinson; one brother, Wade H. Robinson; and one grandson, James Nuzum.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Broad Oaks United Methodist Church and the Harrison County Senior Citizens. She was a homemaker.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main St., Clarksburg, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. W. Brent Sturm, O.S.L. and the Rev. K. Almond conducting the service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Masonic cemetery.

C. Daniel Ditta
BRIDGEPORT -- C. Daniel Ditta, 81, of 217 Foley St., Bridgeport, formerly of Monessen, Pa., died Monday, July 26, 1999.
He was born Aug. 21, 1917, in Monessen, a son of Calogera Pusateri Ditta and Peter Ditta.
His wife of 52 years, Margaret Marsden Ditta, preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 1991.
Surviving are one son, Peter W. Ditta, Ft. Pierce, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. James (Karen) Cava, Clarksburg, Mrs. Frank (Anita) Castiglia, Orlando, Fla., and Miss Antoinette Ditta, Monessen; six grandsons, Peter D. Ditta, James J. Cava, David V. Cava, Daniel A. Cava, Vincent J. Cava and Samuel J. Cava; four granddaughters, Shannon Barber, Sybil Ditta, Mary Margaret Cava and Carrie Ann Cava; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. F.S. (Mary) Lemley, Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. John (Antoinette) Sawich, Monessen.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Vincent, James and Louis Ditta; and one sister, Mrs. Cosimo (Harriet) Todaro.
Mr. Ditta was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 131 and American Legion Post 28. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, the Legion of Mary, and the Holy Name Society.
He was active in the United Steelworkers of America Union helping to organize Local 1229 in which he held various offices. He worked in the Blooming Mill of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for 43 years.
Friends will be received at the Burnside Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and at the Rhome Funeral Home in Monessen from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Monessen. Interment will follow at Grandview cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Burnside Funeral Home.

Angela K. Gallo
GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Angela Kay Gallo, 74, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at Three Rivers Community Hospital's Dimmick campus, Grants Pass.
She was born March 4, 1925, in Clarksburg.
On May 11, 1990, she married Richard N. Gallo in Ontario, Calif., who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard Darner, Grants Pass, and Pat Darner, Yreka, Calif.; one daughter, Vickie Postil, Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Guy and Johnny Buffey, both of Clarksburg; 10 sisters, Gladys Cianncio, New York, Bee Nutter, Mary Hall, Becky Sprout, Patricia Toothman, Joanne Leason, Muggy Watson, Unnie Moran, Nancy Hartman and Uggie Williams, all of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gallo was a Jehovah's Witness. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

Anna M. Gorrell
RAVENSWOOD -- Anna Margaret Gorrell, 72, of Ravenswood, died Monday, July 26, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Franklin, a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Lillian Lough Simmons.
Her husband, John E. Gorrell, survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Betty Leonard, Ravenswood; two sons, Bill Sheaffer, Parkersburg, and John A. Gorrell, Ravenswood; two brothers, Glen A. Simmons, Baltimore, Md., and Wallace E. Simmons, Clarksburg; seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Gorrell was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and attended Franklin High School.
