Joseph Cimino, age 82 of J. D. Anderson Drive, formerly of Granville passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 at Sundale Nursing Home. He was born March 11, 1927 in Morgantown a son of the late Benny and Mary Audia Cimino.
Joseph was a retired coal miner from the Arkwright mine and was a member of the UMWA. He was also a member St. Mary’s Catholic Church and his favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
A niece and spouse, Rita and Bob Ranallo of Pittsburgh and their children Bobby and Katie; a nephew Alan Blosser of Granville and his sons Kurt and Mark Blosser survive Joseph.
One sister, Katherine Blosser and one brother, Anthony “Tony” Cimino, preceded Joseph in death.
Friends may call from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mr. Stephen Olenchock officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.

Ruth Mae Cipolloni, age 79 of Granville passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born February 17, 1930 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Earl Shomo and Grace Wolfe Shomo McCoy.
Ruth was a supervising seamstress at Morgan Shirt Company with over forty years of service. Ruth was an outgoing person, who was equally adept at spoiling her grandchildren, getting her picture taken wearing Rocky Bleier’s four super bowl rings, or making special shirts for West Virginia University basketball center Mike Heitz. She also enjoyed crafts, making ceramics, cooking and gardening. Ruth is the last surviving member of her family.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Mary Grace Cipolloni of Granville and Brenda and Bob Baidy of Alexandria, LA, one son Pat and Joy Cipolloni of Sidney, OH, four grandchildren, Tracina Jackson, Steven Daniel Jackson, Michael Wayne Freed, and Carla Beth Cipolloni, and one great grandson, Bryce Jackson.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James Cipolloni, one sister, Margaret Headley, and two brothers, Francis Shomo and Charles Shomo.
Friends may call from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.

Geraldine Clark age 64 of Markleysburg, PA formerly of Route 13, Morgantown passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born September 24, 1944 in WV a daughter of the late Ora E. and Violet V. Zinn Clark.
One sister, Mary O’Donnell of Macon, Ga, survives Geraldine.
Her brother, Glenn E. Clark, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until the 7:30 PM Funeral service with Pastor William Page officiating. Private burial will be held at East Oak Grove Cemetery.

Ivy Clark, 89, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Evergreen Assisted Living, in Morgantown, WV. Daughter of Arthur and Frances Page, Ivy was born on March 2, 1920, in Birmingham, England. She served in World War II in the British National Fire Service, dispatching fire trucks in response to the Birmingham and Coventry bombings. In 1948 she married Norman Clark, and they moved to Durban, South Africa, where they lived for 45 years. In 1958 Norman and Ivy adopted Nigel Clark as their only son. Following a return to the United Kingdom and the death of Norman in 1995, Ivy moved to Morgantown WV to be closer to Nigel and his wife, Cheryl Hill, and became a US Citizen in 2008. Ivy’s life was showcased in the Dominion Post on July 22, 2008. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Arthur, Douglas, Edna, Kenneth, and Alan, none of whom had children, so that her passing terminates the Page line. She is survived by Nigel and Cheryl, and by Norman’s brother Gordon.
Friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 20, from 10am onward at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd, in Westover WV, and a service will be held at the same location at 11am, with the Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Her wish is that her ashes are carried across the Atlantic to Yardley Cemetery, in Birmingham, England, where Norman and many of her relatives rest.

Ronald Dale Cline, age 50 of Parkview Drive, Westover went home to be with his Lord on Monday, September 22, 2008 in Westover. He was born September 5, 1958 in Weirton, WV a son of Donald Earl Cline of Weirton and the late Elizabeth Ruth Cline.
He was a devoted, loving husband, son, brother and uncle. He had a wonderful sense of humor, never met a stranger and had a quick and ready smile for everyone. He attended the Booth-Union United Methodist Church and he loved cooking good food for good people.
Ron graduated Weir High School in 1976 and served with the United States Navy in Newport News, VA where he was honorably discharged in 1977. He then managed Long John Silvers Restaurants in the Weirton and Erie, PA areas for twelve years. He completed Culinary Arts School in Pittsburgh, followed by attending WVU in Morgantown where he met the love of his life.
Ronald is survived by his wife of seven years, Debra Miker Cline, two sisters and spouses, Jacqueline and Joseph Zaslocke of Weirton and Joyce and Ben Sciulli of Beaver Falls, PA and one brother, Perry Cline of Weirton, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Steve and Evelyn Miker of River Road, several nieces and nephews, great nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be especially missed by his furry feline companions, Babbette and R. J.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by one brother, Lester Earl Cline.
Friends may call from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Thursday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Cremation services will be provided and interment will be in Highland Hills Memorial Park in Weirton at a later date.

William Richard Coda, age 38 of Morgantown died Thursday, May 21, 2009 in California. He was born September 24, 1970 in Morgantown a son of William Greer Coda of Daytona Beach, FL and Sandra Kay Bickley and spouse, John Fletcher Bickley III of Garland, TX.
Will received his undergraduate degree from Fairmont State University and was working on his Masters Degree in Education. Will was a member of St. John’s University Parish where he had worked diligently with the youth, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was a United States Navy Veteran.
In addition to his parents, Will is survived by his sisters, Sunni Richmond of Florida and Stacy Hagerty and spouse Lewis of Teays Valley, WV; his brothers, Chase Powers and spouse Tiffany, and Ryan Rush both of Texas; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Angie Powers of Beckley and Betty Powers of Morgantown; his uncle Randy Powers of Virginia and aunts, Donna Lashley and spouse Kenny, Sharon Cutright and spouse Norman, and Robin Powers, all of Morgantown; nieces and nephews, Nicole Richmond, Sebastian Powers, Logan Powers, Leila Powers; and cousins, Rick Jackson, Debbie Jackson, Linda Hamrick, Chris Cutright, Rich Cutright, Corey Powers, Justin Powers, Kiana Medley, and Austin and Hannah Powers
Will was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Greer Coda and Katherine Shuttlesworth and his maternal great grandparents, Everett and Dorothy Posey.
Family and friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 PM with an 8:30 PM Prayer Service conducted by Father Dan Pisano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Johns University Parish with Father William Matheny as celebrant. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery with graveside military honors conferred by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson. The family requests that donations be made in Will’s honor to the Bartlett House, 1110 University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505.

Dorothy J. Shillingburg Coffman, 73, of Westover passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at her home. She was born August 13, 1936 in Oakmont, WV a daughter of the late Stanley and Mona Warnick Shillingburg.
Dorothy enjoyed helping others and this was evident in her working career. She worked in food service at Vincent Pallotti Hospital, housekeeping at WV University Hospital and was a visiting homemaker. When not working, Dorothy could be found with her friends playing bingo or sitting quietly at home reading and knitting, but her greatest enjoyment came from being a grandmother. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all.
Dorothy is survived by six daughters, Diana Coffman of Westover, Debra Adams and husband Larry of Westover, Donna Jordan and husband Michael of Morgantown, Belinda Coffman-Miller of Wadestown, Cathy Hicks and husband Jim of Maidsville, and Shari Buseman and husband James of Morgantown, two sons, Russell I. Coffman Jr. of Westover and Roger Coffman Sr. and Tessie of Elk Ridge, MD, four sisters, Janet Logan and husband Fred of Sun City, AZ, Margie McDonald and husband David of Keller, TX, Sandra Starnes and husband Roger of Canton, TX, and Linda Shillingburg of Morgantown, one brother Donald Shillingburg and wife Margie of Dillon, SC, seventeen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Russell I. Coffman Sr., one sister, Peggy Diane Shillingburg, and one brother James Shillingburg.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home from 6-8 PM Saturday and on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at the McCulla Funeral Home with Pastor Rose Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.

Dorothea L. (Dottie) Coker, age 84 of Stewarts Run Road, Morgantown passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born September 8, 1924 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Earl and Delia Cordray Moore.
Dottie loved working on the farm, was a member of the Morgantown Moose Lodge #264, and supported the Arnettsville United Methodist Church.
Dottie is survived by a niece, Ann Stefanick of Floyds Knobs, IN, a nephew James L. Rogers of Morgantown, great nieces and nephews, Wayne Corley, Cassandra Corley, Candace McMurray, Melvin Stefanick, Mary Ellen Farnsley, and Dottie Lou martin, great great nieces and nephews, David Corley, Shawn Farnsley, Kyle Stefanick, Kelsey Stefanick, and Brittany Hublar, and one great great great nephew, Damon Corley.
Her first husband, Herman S. List and her second husband, Robert C. Coker, two sisters and spouses, Mary and Ray Conklin, and Paulyne and Cecil Rogers preceded Dottie in death.
Friends may call from 4-9 PM Friday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at the McCulla Funeral Home with Rev. Sandra Firth officiating. Burial will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery.

Lori Ann Vannoy Conrad, age 46 of LaMesa Village, Morgantown passed away Friday, December 26, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born January 25, 1962 in Elkins, WV a daughter of Jack Vannoy of Westover and the late Charlotte Turner Vannoy.
Lori had been employed at Kinder-Haus Daycare Center where she loved being with the children. She also loved the outdoors, especially camping with her family.
Lori is survived by her husband, Charles Conrad, one daughter, Bobbi Jo Simmons and her fiancée Justin Hood of Morgantown, one son, Brier Simmons of Morgantown, two step-sons, Cory Daft and fiancée Stephanie Hamrick of Morgantown and Cody Conrad of Morgantown, three sisters and spouses, Karen and Terry Rice of Morgantown, Pam and Ronnie Rakosi of Morgantown, and Susan and Michael Arbogast of Fairmont, two brothers and spouses, Michael and Marcia Vannoy of Morgantown and David and Melanie Vannoy of Morgantown, one grandchild, Kaydence Hood, her step-mother Molli Vannoy and several nieces and nephews.
McCulla Funeral Home provided cremation services and memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Avery United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Martin officiating.

Carmolee Pearle Turner Coombs, 86, of Booth, died Tuesday at Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital, after several weeks at Cedar Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Sissonville.
She was born on New Year’s Day, 1924, in Lewis County, the daughter of Ralph Cletus Turner, who died in 1958, and Alta Myrtle Skinner Turner, who died in 1965. She was one of nine siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.
Her husband, Dana Milton Coombs, died in 2005. They were married for more than 62 years.
Surviving family members include two children: Joyce Anne Coombs of Sissonville and Dana Milton Coombs, Jr., and wife Janice Coombs of Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren: Greg Moore and wife Dawn Miller of Charleston, David Moore and wife Dana Moore of Lexington, Ky., and Melanie Coombs Lee and husband Kevin Lee of Summerville, S.C.; and six great-grandchildren: Lauren Moore, Tanner Moore and Haiden Moore, all of Lexington, Ky., and Kristen Lee, Kevin Lee, Jr., and Hunter Lee, all of Summerville S.C.
The family would like to give special thanks to her good friend, Marcia Morton.
Our mother and grandmother was a fiercely independent woman, who was adamant about living in her home until it was no longer possible. Almost until the end, she would clean her own home, rake her own leaves, and walk to the neighborhood mailbox to get a neighbor’s mail. She took pride in cooking for any family members who came to visit, including big holiday dinners at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will miss her very much.
Family and Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home, in Morgantown, on Saturday from 10 to the 11 AM funeral service with Rev. Junior Koon officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.

Donald “Bubba” Wayne Coombs, 65, passed away after a strong battle with cancer, on September 1, 2010.
He was born August 31, 1945 in Morgantown, to Virgil Wayne Coombs and Wanda Irene Harvey Coombs.
He graduated from Morgantown High School in 1963 and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968.
He retired from GE Specialty Chemicals in 2005 and spent the last 5 years traveling the country with his wife on his motorcycle.
Don was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the GWRRA Chapter I of Morgantown. One of his favorite things was riding in parades with his grandson, Daniel.
He regularly attended the Highlawns United Methodist Church in Rivesville where he regularly taught the Adult Sunday School class and faithfully attended Wednesday night bible study and prayer service.
Don loved helping others and would volunteer at the local Salvation Army throughout the year and also helped distribute toys at Christmas time. He had a very giving heart.
His greatest love in life was his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He showed us every day that he truly loved his life. He has touched so many people and has left us with everlasting memories that will be treasured forever. He has taught his grandchildren values that they will carry for the rest of their lives.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Charlene Coombs of Morgantown; his daughter, Carrie Ann Trejo and her husband Daniel Alejandro Trejo, of Morgantown; 2 grandchildren, Daniel “Bird” Wayne and Amelia “Angel Eyes” Aiyana; 2 sisters, Pat Hughes and Janice Moore; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
Friends will be received at the Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church, 540 Fairmont Rd., Westover, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at the Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church at 1 PM with Rev. Stanley Merrifield officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery with graveside military honors conferred by WVANG Funeral Military Honors, Camp Dawson and the Westover VFW Post # 9916. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Rivesville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 66, Rivesville, WV 26588. There will truly be a special place in heaven for a man that has touched so many lives. We will miss you and love you forever.
