Velda A. Clutter Crites, age 81 of Stewarts Run Road, Morgantown passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Mapleshire Nursing Home. She was born January 19, 1928 in Webster Springs, WV a daughter of the late Lonzo B. and Mary Ethel Saffle Clutter.
Velda was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Her hobbies were her large vegetable garden and her flower gardens. Velda was a well known for her country cooking, graham cracker pies, peanut butter fudge and homemade bread, rolls and jellies. Anytime friends, family, people doing work on their farm or any stranger happened by they were never allowed to leave without something to eat and drink.
She was a member of the Riverside Apostolic Church where her uncle, Rev. Hayward Saffle, was the pastor for many years.
Velda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clarence Crites, her children; son Billy Clutter, Daughter Judy Hatch and husband Gary, son Lonnie Crites and wife Rosa; grandchildren Chrystal Haveleu-Allain, Sharon Clutter, Kenny Clutter, Michael Hatch and wife Jennifer, Tina Evans and husband Nathan, Melissa Brunner, Olivia Crites and fiancée Gary Rinehart, and Zachary Crites and fiancée Rachael Gainor; great grandchildren, Logan and Brady Hatch, Amy Hall, Hannah, Jaiden and Carter Evans. She is also survived by her favorite ex-daughter-in-law Doris Coburn.
In addition to her parents, her sons, Leonard Clutter and Robert Connor, brothers Noah L. Clutter, Currence E. Clutter, Calvin R. Clutter, and sister, Roxann Clutter, preceded Velda in death.

Virginia L. Arnett Cummings, 92 of Crowl Street, Westover, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born November 22, 1915 in Sugar Grove a daughter of the late Curtis and Zoe Arnett.
Virginia’s greatest joy was in loving her children and grandchildren. She had worked at Chico’s Dairy and the Double Day Candy factory in Sabraton. She had attended the Sugar Grove Presbyterian Church and Crescent Hills Chapel.
Virginia is survived by two daughters, Marion Lenora Wiles of Elyria, OH and Cheryle Dawn Allamong of Palm Harbor, FL., three sons, Ralph Duyane Cummings and wife Janice of Swanton, MD, Norman Keith Cummings Sr. of Westover, and Edward Brice Cummings Sr. and wife Mary of Morgantown, two daughters-in-law, Linda Cummings of Morgantown and Emma Jane Cummings of Portsmouth, VA., 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cummings Jr., two sons, James Milton Cummings and Donald Arnett Cummings, one sister Margaret Turner, two sons-in-law Howard Wiles and Sgt. Virgil Clayton Allamong III and one daughter-in-law Dorothy Lee Isenhart and two grandsons, Ralph Duyane Cummings Jr. and John Howard Wiles.

Edgar “Bumping Bud” Cutlip, age 70 of Morgantown, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at his home. He was born December 10, 1939 in Fairmont a son of the late Guy and Katherine Dawson Cutlip.
Edgar was a bricklayer and a Protestant by faith. He loved to race cars and four-wheelers.
Edgar is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia, five daughters, Bobbie Jo, Mary, Darla, Penny, and Robin, one sister, Dolores Clark, six grandchildren, a special friend, Russell Murray, and dog, Little Bit.

Leola S. Cutright age 70 of Van Voorhis Road, Morgantown passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born June 7, 1938 in Buckhannon a daughter of the late Clarence and Barbara Alice Bender.
Leola is survived by four daughters, Donna McCain of Belington, Alicia Cutright of Morgantown, Janet Zaharko of Morgantown and Amanda Nicole Cutright of Alabama, two sons Donald Cutright of Everettville, and Danny Cutright of Fairmont, two sisters, Annabelle Hall of Baltimore and Norma Jean Chidester of Rock Cave, and ten grandchildren.
Her husband, Lewis Cutright, one infant daughter, three sisters and two brothers preceded Leola in death.
McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services and the family will receive friends at the McCulla Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 PM until the 4:00 PM Memorial service with Pastor Benny Hager officiating.
Patricia A. Dadich, 57 of Westover passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at Monongalia General Hospital after a courageous eleven year battle with cancer. She was born January 5, 1952 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Arthur and Reta Bibey Miller.
Patty had worked for Mylan Pharmaceuticals for over fifteen years, where she held the position of AQL and attended the Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church. Patty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was always first in her heart and mind. She would do anything to make sure they were taken care of. She also enjoyed going to play bingo with her brother and sister. Patty will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Patty is survived by her husband of 39 years, James H. Dadich, one daughter and spouse, Heather and Dan Colebank of Morgantown, her grandson Cooper Colebank two sisters, Barbara Miker and husband Joe of Morgantown and Sandra Cuddy of Utah, three brothers, Richard “Rick” Miller of Morgantown, Marshall and Diana Miller of Florida and William and Loretta Miller of VA, one grandson, Cooper Colebank, mother and father-in-law Emma and James J. Dadich, one sister-in-law, Connie Curry and her nephew, Matthew.
Patty was preceded in death by one son, Shaun J. Dadich.

Shaun J. Dadich, age 30 of Marchand Drive, Westover, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at his home. He was born November 14, 1977 in Morgantown a son of James H. and Patricia A. Miller Dadich of Westover.
Shaun was on the event staff for Contemporary Service Corporation and had just enrolled in the surgical tech program of MTEC. He was a caring, compassionate individual who loved taking care of his mom and playing with his nephew. Shaun enjoyed the outdoors and his hobbies were sports, and hunting and fishing with his dad.
In addition to his parents, Shaun is survived by his paternal grandfather, James J. Dadich of Morgantown and grandmother, Emma Dadich of Westover, one sister and spouse, Heather and Dan Colebank and nephew Cooper Colebank of Morgantown and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who loved him.
Shaun was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Reta and Arthur Miller.

Odbert “Andy” Dalton, age 57, of Maidsville, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Andy was born on February 27, 1952 in Morgantown, a son of Geraldine Boyers of Morgantown and the late Delmar Dalton.
Andy was a truck driver for Laurita Trucking Company.
In addition to his mother, Andy is survived by his wife Della Nethken Dalton; one son Kevin Andrew Dalton and his wife Laura of Salem, WV; three step-daughters Alida Nethkin, Jamie Laudermilch, and Jennifer Laudermilch, all of Maidsville; one sister Judy Donn of Florida; two brothers Buck Dalton of Bobtown, PA and David Dalton of Cassville; two grandsons Chase and Blake Dalton.
Andy was also preceded in death by his step-father Jim Boyers.

Rosalie (Rose) Elaine Danser went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 28, 2008 after an extended illness.
She was born February 19, 1942 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Petro and Helen Tomko Sodomick.
Rosalie had worked at the Dellslow Dairy Delite until her illness and her favorite pastime was loving her family. She was a Catholic by faith.
Rose is survived by her husband of fifty years, Tracy Dale Danser; one daughter, Kara Lee (Pearl) Danser-Smith of Westover; one son Rocky Keith Danser of Scottsburg, IN; two brothers, Pete Sodomick and George Sodomick of Morgantown; one sister, Barbara Nuce of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Anthony Sickles, Elaina Smith, David Sardina, Stacey Benjamin, and Stephanie Benjamin; and five great grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mary Gabert and Margaret DeVall preceded Rose in death.

Douglas Elton Darr, 63, of Morgantown died Monday, December 8, 2008 at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born July 2, 1945 in Washington, DC, a son of the late Elton and Betty Hornesby Darr.
He had been an occupational nurse and had served in the US Navy.
McCulla Funeral Home provided cremation services.
Donald Carl Davis, 71, of Morgantown passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Mon General Hospital. Donald was born on June 21, 1938, a son of the late Homer and Lue Anna Davis.
Donald spent his career working for various auto parts stores. He was employed as a sales representative at NAPA Auto Parts and Morgan Auto Parts. He served as district manager for Precision Alternator & Starter, and retired as the owner of Pro-Line Distributors.
He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ of Morgantown and a former member of the Westover United Methodist Church. Donald enjoyed square dancing with the Western Stars Square Dancing Club.
Donald is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Davis, one daughter Amy Mowrey and husband Greg of Hampstead, NC, one son Kevin D Davis of Morgantown, and three grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, and Ryan Mowrey, three sisters, Virginia Nicholson, Barbara Davis, and Betty Lue and her husband Lloyd Wolfe, a sister- in-law Thelma Davis, his mother-in-law Margaret Morris, two brothers-in-law, Jay Morris and his wife Sue, Rick Morris and his wife Robin, and one sister-in-law Margie Collins and her husband Vince
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one sister, Madeline Bates and two brothers, Homer C. Davis Jr. and Harold L. Davis.

Ruth Godfrey De Antonis
Ruth Godfrey De Antonis, 91, passed away June 3, 2010 in St. Augustine, Florida. Ruth’s life was characterized by her devotion to family and dedication to her church and community. A native of West Virginia, she married her high school sweetheart George W. De Antonis and they spent nearly 50 happy years together. Their home was an open gathering place for a large extended family who met frequently for festive family dinners of old favorite dishes and new recipes Ruth loved to make.
Ruth was always the ready community volunteer. While raising her children, she was a Cub Scout Den Mother, Girl Scout Leader, and PTA and Band Auxiliary President. During World War II, she belonged to the Women’s Home Defense.
Even with a busy schedule, she found time to have lovely flower gardens, and especially beautiful roses. While in Florida she belonged to the St. Augustine Garden Club Shamrock Circle and was the devotional leader for several years.
Most of her working career was at West Virginia University. For 20 years, many students passed through her office door where many called her “Mom” and shared with her their happy events or problems.
Her church was an important part of her life and she was active for many years in the United Methodist Women’s Society. At her Spruce Street Church in Morgantown, she was in charge of the nursery for 25 years as well as being in charge of various Sunday School Departments and the Bible School.
After retiring, Ruth and George relocated to St. Augustine in 1982 to be near their sons and their families. In St. Augustine, she was active in the First United Methodist Church, the Caring Circle, and attended The Seekers Sunday School class.
She is survived by her sons George Jr. and his wife Joyce of St. Augustine, FL and John and his wife Susan of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Judith Zinn and her husband Jerry of St. Augustine, FL; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Robert De Antonis of Morgantown and Victor De Antonis of Washington state.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George, sister Ruby Downes, and grandson Jonathan Zinn
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday from Noon until the 1:00 pm funeral service with Rev. Dr. John E. Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery where Ruth will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband George.
