Barbara Jane Hoey, 78, of Mount Morris, PA was surrounded by her loving family on November 18, 2010 as her spirit departed her earthly body and was reunited with her Lord and Savior. Barb was the only daughter of the late Rudolph and Carrie Claussen and was born on July 11, 1932 in Morgantown, WV.
Barb was the best homemaker and enjoyed greatly serving her family. She was in happy fellowship with the Crescent Hills Bible Chapel, where she served as organist for many years.
Those left behind to celebrate her life include; her loving husband, Louis “Bud” Hoey of Mount Morris, PA; two daughters, Carol Allen of Morgantown and Judy Powell and her husband Greg, also of Morgantown; and two grandchildren Zachary and Autumn Allen, of Morgantown.
Family and Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm and on Monday from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with the men of Crescent Hills Chapel officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris, PA.

Nellie Grace Stauffer Hogan, age 80, of Friendship Manor, Morgantown passed away, Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was born July 2, 1929 in Norfolk, VA one of four children of the late Willard Tobias Stauffer and Almeta Stauffer.
Nellie was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly and did her best to spoil her grandchildren. She had a passion for the arts and was a Methodist by faith.
Nellie is survived by her son, Michael L. Hogan and his wife Brenda of Westover. She is also survived by her two grandchildren whom she adored, Lauren and Ryan Hogan
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home from 1-3 & 5-9 PM Thursday and on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Frday at 11:00 AM at the McCulla Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church, 540 Fairmont Road, Morgantown, WV 26501.

Judy Ann Hose, 67 of Westover, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at her home.
She was born July 15, 1942 in Morgantown. She was the daughter of the late Edward Earl Weaver and Pansy Edyth Fox Weaver.
Judy was a member of the Laureate Alpha Nu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi since May of 1966. She dedicated her life to helping others. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband Jack Lee Hose of Westover, one step-brother Larry Stuber and wife Elle Stuber of Germany, two sons Jack Michael Hose of Westover and Brian Edward Hose of Maidsville, one daughter Lee Ann Sansone and husband Michael John Sansone of Martinsburg, 6 grandchildren, Tia Hose of Mt. Morris, Kellie and Courtney Sansone of Martinsburg, and Holly, Heather and Emma Hose of Maidsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Earl Weaver and Pansy Edyth Weaver and one sister Kathy Kirby.
Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the McCulla Funeral Home with a memorial service being held by Beta Sigma Phi at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at McCulla Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Cain. Burial will follow at Beverly Hill Cemetery.

Rev. C. Edward (Eddie) Hughes, 55 of Morgantown, WV, after a valiant stand against cancer, departed this life on Sunday, December 21, 2008, peacefully at home and now is in the full presence of Jesus, his Lord and Savior.
He was born in Gallapolis, OH on July 7, 1953 to the late William L. and Annabel Bush Hughes of Parkersburg, WV.
He graduated from Parkersburg South High School in 1971, and moved to Virginia Beach, VA. While serving as a radioman in the Navy, he was the Protestant Lay Leader and got the nickname “Rev”. Eddie preached the gospel of Jesus Christ to all he came in contact with. He received an honorable discharge in 1978.
After being ordained in 1980, he entered full-time ministry. He pioneered and pastored several churches in FL, NC, WV, and TN. He also hosted the radio broadcasts Back to the Word, and the Voice of Triumph. More recently, he has been writing teaching articles for his website. His strongest desire was to be Jesus’ disciple, and considered it a joy to proclaim God’s Word. Over the years he held several part time jobs, including US Postal Worker, car salesman, and Fed Ex deliveryman.
Eddie is survived by his wife Joann (Joie) Carline Hughes, their three children, Andrea, Ashley and Daniel Hughes of Morgantown; two stepchildren, Adam DeGardeyn of Nashville, TN and Miana DeGardeyn of Las Vegas, NV; his former wife Karen Dickle Hughes of Columbus, OH; their four children Jessica and Chris Stevens and their children, Reagan and Nicholas from San Antonio, TX; Jodie Hughes and her sons Dylan and Trey, Jacob Edward Hughes, and Jamie Hughes and her son Damien, all from San Diego, CA; his siblings and their spouses, Anne and Dave Bennett of Parkersburg, WV and CA; William E. and Sandy Hughes, and James W. and Sharon Hughes all from VA; his in-laws, John and Dibby Carline of Morgantown; his three aunts, Dottie and Jack Shea from Alpharetta, GA, Eleanor Kinchloe from Hickory, NC, and Virginia Florence from Parkersburg, WV, also many cousin, nephews, and nieces.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the 2:00 PM Funeral service with Pastors Tim Haring and James Sabin officiating. Burial services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton with graveside military services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eddies memory to McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd., Morgantown, WV 26501.

Betty Pearl Hutchinson, age 79 of Westover passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born July 13, 1932 a daughter of the late Hilbert C. and Evelyn P. Wamsley Woodall.
Betty was retired from the Ramada Inn and Conference Center. She got pleasure in cooking but her greatest enjoyment was being a loving mom and grandmother. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Betty is survived by one daughter Mary Ann Neese of Morgantown, two sons David Neese of Cheat Lake and Michael Neese of Morgantown, two sisters, Dorothy Zara of Morgantown and Mary Summers of Westover, five brothers, Robert Woodall, William Woodall, and John Woodall all of Maryland, Richard Woodall of Virginia, and Thomas Woodall of Morgantown, three grandchildren, Tabitha Miller of Fairmont, Skylar Neese of Cheat Lake, and Sarah Downey of Westover, one great granddaughter, Lauren Downey of Westover and her loving cat Rufus.
Betty was preceded in death by one sister Hilda Mae Pritt and one brother Clyde H. Woodall.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 pm at McCulla Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hills Cemetery at a later date.

Andrew William “Buzz” Javosky, age 61 of Maidsville passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008. He was born October 27, 1947 in Morgantown a son of Wilbert Javosky of Maidsville and the late Wilda Sapp Javosky.
Buzz was a former coal miner, had recently been working in construction and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, Destiny Dawn Javosky of Bobtown, two sons, James Andrew Javosky of Ohio and Charles Javosky of Bobtown, four sisters, Sandy Woody of Atlanta, GA, Linda May Javosky of Maidsville, Bonnie Molisee of Maidsville and Nancy Corley of Maidsville, two brothers, John Richard Javosky of Maidsville and Wilbert Robert Javosky Jr. of Ravenna, OH, and two grandchildren, Andrew Skye Javosky and Gunner Javosky.
Andrew was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Mary Grace Teter, one sister, Shirley Ann Javosky and one brother, Paul Edward Javosky.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at the McCulla Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery with graveside military services conducted by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and the WV National Guard.

Tracee Jean Johns Smith of Morgantown passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at her home on the Canyon Road. Tracee was born October 12, 1970 in Morgantown. She is the beloved daughter of Raymond M (Bud) and Jeanne Johns.
Tracee was a graduate of Morgantown High School and a member of the First Christian Church of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Shakira Smith of Morgantown; two brothers, Michael Johns and his wife Patricia of Morgantown and Scott Johns and his wife Tami of Charleston; one sister, Michaelle Haye and her husband Jeff also of Charleston; nieces and nephews, Patrick and Anthony Johns, Michael and Rebecca Verbosky, Ian, Lucas, and Lauren Haye and Melissa Johns; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
McCulla Funeral Home provided cremation services. Friends may call at the Greater Love Family Outreach Ministries, which is located in the lower building of the Grand Central Business Center, 2567 University Avenue Room 9010, Morgantown on Saturday from 12:30 until the 1pm memorial service with Rev. Junius Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Tracee’s memory to her daughter, Shakira Smith at United Bank 3441 University Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26505.

Dorothy Marie “Ladybug” Buterbaugh Haines Johnson, age 85 of Broadview Drive, Morgantown died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 13, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with heart disease.
She was born April 18, 1922 in Pocohontas County to McKinley Buterbaugh and Margie Mae Williams.
She married G. Lyle Haines in 1941 and they became the proud and loving parents of four daughters; Judith Ann Haines of Wheeling, Joyce Elaine Pegg of Morgantown, Janet Carol Capiola and husband Robert of Morgantown, and Julie Lyle Haines of Morgantown. She was grandmother to William Michael Pegg, John Mark (Regina) Pegg, Lisa Michelle and Bartsch (Leo), Christopher Matthew Pegg (Tracey), Jeffrey Todd Field (Amanda), Jennifer Leigh Caldwell (Todd) and Robert Lyle Capiola. She also had nineteen great grandchildren and one half-sister Norma Decker of Ohio and two special friends, who contributed greatly to her care, Connie Guzman and Wilma Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Fred O. Johnson in 1983, and two half-sisters Ruth Murphy and Leona Buterbaugh.
She spent her lifetime caring for and about others and was matriarch to a family that will find it very difficult to go on without her. She considered her daughters to be her gift. Her daughters considered her to be their treasure.
Friends may call from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at McCulla Funeral Home with Bishop John DeLawder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Care, 3363 University Avenue, Star City, WV 26505.

Newton D. Johnson, age 76 of Louise Avenue, Morgantown passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born January 23, 1932 in St. Clairsville, OH a son of the late Hubert and Marguerite Patterson Johnson.
He was employed as a corrections officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and had previously worked as a dispatcher for the Morgantown Police Department and as a security guard for the Department of Energy. He also served with the United States Air Force and was Protestant by faith.
Newton is survived by one daughter and spouse, Myra and Tom Musser of Wheeling, two sons, Lewton D. Johnson of Denver, CO, and David A. Johnson of Morgantown, two sisters, Sandra Johnson and Lana Elbin and two grandchildren, Angeline Musser and Matthew Musser.
Newton was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ann Johnson.
Friends may call from 5-7 PM Monday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the McCulla Funeral Home with Rev. David Tomer officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, OH.

Jeffrey Scott Johnson-Cooke, age 38 of Canyon Village Park, Morgantown passed away Wednesday, January 07, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born October 19, 1970 in Elizabethtown, KY a son of Patricia A. Jeffries O’Neill of Reedsville, WV and the late Stanton J. Cooke.
Jeff was employed by the WV Newspaper Publishing Company and attended the Mt. Moriah Church in Smithfield, PA. His hobbies were playing hockey; golf or going to concerts, but his greatest love was spending time with his children.
In addition to his mother, Jeff is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Sandra Dillow Cooke, two daughters, Tomhera L. Cooke and Peyton D. Cooke, both at home, one sister Katie E. O’Neill of Reedsville, two brothers, Tim Johnson of Alaska and Joe Johnson of Morgantown, his maternal grandmother, Maye Reed of Elizabethtown, KY, two step-fathers Pat O’Neill of Morgantown and Jim Johnson of Alaska and two step grandmothers, Virginia O’Neill of Morgantown and Carol Johnson of Alaska, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Joanne Dillow of Morgantown
In addition to his father, his maternal grandfather, Roy Reed, his great grandparents, James T. and Juletta Thompson and an uncle, Tommy Lee Jeffries, preceded Jeff in death.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM Thursday and from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the McCulla Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Hurley officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery.
