Betty Jean Stewart, 80, of Wiseman Rd., Morgantown died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Mapleshire Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 5, 1928 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Elza Eugene and Bertha Elizabeth Guseman Hawkins.
Betty had been employed in the housecleaning dept. at the WVU Towers and had been a nurse’s aide at the former University Hospital. She was a member of the Flaggy Meadow CEO’s and loved crafts and sewing. She was Methodist by faith.
She is survived by three daughters and spouses, Barbara L. and Jack Stillwagon of Smithfield, PA, Shirley A. and Rick Nicholson of Morgantown, and Diana L. and Bill Buck of Morgantown; four sons, William G. Stewart and spouse Judy, Daniel L. Stewart and spouse Beverly, Donald R. Stewart, and Robert F. Stewart and spouse Laina, all of Morgantown; a sister Anna Lee Ezerski of Fairmont; four brothers, Raymond, Perry, Frank, and Roger Hawkins, all of Morgantown; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Stewart, and her twin brother, Louis Hawkins.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held at the McCulla Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 with Rev. Betty McBee officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, 2000 Elmer Prince Dr., Morgantown, WV 26505 or to American Diabetes Center, P.O. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Donald Ray Stewart, 55, of Wiseman Rd., Morgantown died unexpectedly Saturday, July 18, 2009 at home. He was born December 10, 1953 in Morgantown, a son of the late William R. and Betty Jean Hawkins Stewart.
Don had been employed at Rexroad Heating and Cooling and had also worked at Independent Dressed Beef. He attended the Booth-Union UMC. His greatest passion was hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of the Mt. Morris Sportsman Club in Mt. Morris, PA and the Rhododendron Hunting Club in Preston County.
He is survived by three sisters, Barbara L. Stillwagon and spouse Jack of Smithfield, PA, Shirley A. Nicholson and spouse Rick and Diana L. Buck and spouse Bill, of Morgantown; three brothers, William G. Stewart and spouse Judy, Daniel L. Stewart and spouse Beverly, and Robert F. Stewart and spouse Laina, all of Morgantown; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the McCulla Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Valley Health Care Systems, 301 Scott Ave., Morgantown, WV 26508.

Jayden James Tennant, infant son of Nicholas and Kristin Williams Tennant of Pentress, passed away, March 31, 2010 at WVU Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
In addition to his parents, Jayden is survived by one sister Olivia Katelyn Tennant; his twin brother Gavin Benjamin Tennant; his maternal grandparents Sue and Tracey Willard and Rick Williams; maternal great-grandparents James and Mildred Flenniken; paternal grandparents Robbi and Larry Tennant; paternal great-grandparents Charles Dittman and Hazel Tennant; and several uncles, aunts , and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the McCulla Funeral Home from 12 – 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Hardman officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Pentress.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jayden’s name to the March of Dimes Foundation.

Clarence L Tennant, Jr. - On Wednesday, July 16, 2008, Clarence L Tennant, Jr., 43, of Morgantown went to be with the Lord after a long battle with diabetes. Clarence was born September 27, 1964 in Waynesburg, PA, a son of Clarence L and Betty J Tennant, Sr. of Westover.
Clarence had been employed by John Howard Motors in their body shop, Kelly’s Body Shop and Denzil’s Body Shop. He attended Riverside Apostolic Church. He had numerous friends including co-workers and former employers. Family and friends will always remember him for his quiet, shy smile, sense of humor, and devotion to his daughter, Amanda.
He enjoyed and loved working with his father in their machine shop and was a good machinist.
In addition to his parents, Clarence is survived by his daughter Amanda Paige of Morgantown, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers. Bonnie (Harold) Knotts of Ohio, Louise (David) Jenness of VA, Ed (Sherry) Wilmoth of Morgantown, Dot McClung of Morgantown, James (Nicole) Tennant of NJ, D. Scott Tennant of Morgantown, and Michele Kelly of Morgantown. Clarence also leaves behind many adoring nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the hospital staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Monongalia General Hospital, and the home health care nurses for providing excellent care above and beyond.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join with them in remembrance of Clarence at McCulla Funeral Home on Friday, July 18th from 6-8 p.m. with funeral services to be held on Saturday, July 19th at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Blacksville Cemetery.

David N. Tenney, age 57 of Mountaineer Village Morgantown passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born February 18, 1951 in Morgantown, WV a son of the late Noel Alva and Jane Lois Lewellen Tenney.
One brother, Noel Tenney and wife Julia of Morgantown, and two uncles, Ray Lewellen and wife Louise of Morgantown and Sam Tenney of North Carolina survive David.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. McCulla Funeral Home provided cremation services and donations may be made in David’s memory to Morgantown Hospice, P.O. Box 4222, Morgantown, WV 26504.

Julia Ann Tenney of Point Marion Road, Morgantown passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009. She was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Stanley and Julia Ann Franczyk Glebes.
Julia attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and had formerly been employed as a RN at WV University Hospital.
Julia is survived by her husband, Noel “Skip” Tenney, one brother and his spouse, Stanley and Christine Glebes Jr. of Uniontown, one sister, Dorothy Glebes of Uniontown, two nieces Stacey Glebes and Amy Glebes of Uniontown and an aunt and uncle, Ray and Louise Lewellen of Morgantown.
McCulla Funeral Home provided cremation services and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1 Guthrie Lane Morgantown, WV on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Father Leon Alexander as Celebrant. The family requests that donations be made in Julia’s memory to Heifer International at 1 World Ave., Little Rock, AR, 72202.

Eva Elizabeth Teter, age 78 of West Street, Westover, went to be with her Lord and husband Francis Sr. on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at her home. She was born April 16, 1931 in Dilliner, PA a daughter of the late Harry O. and Leona Everly Mathews.
Eva was a homemaker to her family and a Christian. She loved going to different churches to praise her Lord. Eva was always proud of her boys and was a loving and giving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a joy to be with and will be truly missed.
Eva is survived by three sons, Francis L. Teter Jr. of Michigan, Thomas A. Teter and wife Pattie of Morgantown, Dwight David Teter and wife Kimberly of Snohomish, WA, three sisters, Dorothy Gray of Florida, Mary Jane Bolyard and husband Willard of Dilliner, PA and Rose Ann Pecjak of Dilliner, three brothers and spouses, Herschel and Marlene Mathews of Dilliner, Harry and Judy Mathews of East Lake, OH, Charley and Sue Mathews of Dilliner, PA, grandchildren, Tiffany, T.J. and wife Kate, Lacy , Tim, and Amanda Teter, and Bryce and Blake Jennings and two great grandchildren, Dominic and Von.
Her husband, of 57 years, Francis L. Teter Sr., preceded Eva in death on November 25, 2008.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home from 3-5 & 7-9 PM on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at McCulla Funeral Home with Pastor Clara Jo Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.

Mary Grace Teter, age 67 of Viewcrest Village, Maidsville passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born April 18, 1941 in Kingwood a daughter of the late Harley K. and Bessie Ellen Jeffery Miller.
Mary was a homemaker, a Methodist by faith and enjoyed life and being with her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her companion of 19 years, Andrew Javoski, two sons, Charles Edward Teter Jr. of Maidsville, and Gary Teter and life partner, Dennis Havrilla of Alexandria, VA, one daughter and spouse, Kimberly and Phillip Harvey of Highpoint, NC, six sisters, Ruth Sheets, Barbara Barnett, Emma Byrd, Helen Ostrum, Margaret Garletts, and Virginia Wheeler, two brothers, Junior and Herbert Miller, grandchildren, Kristy Teter, Rachel Teter, Charles Teter III and Christopher Teter, Zachary Harvey, Peyton Harvey, Benjiman Harvey, and Gracie Harvey, four great grandchildren, and her former daughter-in-law Diane Teter.
Her husband, Charles Edward Teter, one sister, Donna Mae Miller and two brothers, Harold and Donald Miller preceded Mary in death.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral service with Pastor Junior Koon officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the funeral home

Regina Lace “Lacy” Teter, age 24, of Morgantown passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born December 5, 1984 in Morgantown a daughter of Thomas A. and Pattie Lucas Teter.
Lacy was a fun-loving person who will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. Lacy loved her family and friends the best she was able and her sons more than life itself. Lacy was a loved daughter, sister, mother and friend.
In addition to her parents, Lacy is survived by her sons, Dominic and Von , one sister Tiffany Teter, and one brother and spouse, T.J. and Kate Teter of Morgantown.
Friends may call at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Star City on Tuesday from 5-8 PM with a vigil service at 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father John DiBacco as celebrant. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lacy’s memory to a trust fund for her children, 63 Tibbs Road, Morgantown, WV 26508. Francis L. Teter Sr., age 76 of West Street, Westover passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born July 3, 1932 in Elkins a son of the late Verley and Norma Tahney Teter.
Francis was a longtime local business, community and church leader. He was the owner of Lea Chem and was a former Westover Mayor and councilman. He was a leader of various Christian Organizations, serving as President of the Full Gospel Businessman’s Association and President of the Westover United Methodist Men. He was a member and Past Master of Joseph W. Summers Lodge # 173 and a fifty-year member of the IOOF Lodge No 10. Francis found his greatest joy in helping others and was an avid youth sports sponsor, always supporting his children and grandchildren.
Francis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eva Mathews Teter, three sons, Francis L. Teter Jr. of Michigan, Thomas A. Teter and wife Pattie of Morgantown and Dwight David Teter and wife Kimberly of Seattle, WA, two sisters Wanda Davies and husband Donald R. of Youngstown, OH and Barbara Jean Riggleman and husband Virgil of Morgantown, grandchildren, Tiffany, T.J. Lacy, Tim, and Amanda Teter and Bryce and Blake Jennings and great grandson Dominic Teter.
Francis was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Teter.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral service with Pastor M. A. Donham officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery with Masonic graveside services provided by Joseph W. Summers Lodge # 173. The family requests that donations be made in Francis’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.

Dorothy Mae Thomas, age 85 of Saylor Road, Morgantown passed away Friday, March 14, 2008. She was born September 5, 1922 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Ralph David Bowers and May Carnes Bowers.
Dorothy was a seamstress, a lifelong resident of Canyon and a member of the Canyon Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter Jo Ann Forman and husband Ronald of Saylor Road, one son, Ronald E. Thomas and wife Nancy of Morgantown, one sister Virginia Hess of Morgantown, four grandchildren, R. Thomas Forman, Cheryl Ann Forman, Teressa Anderson, and Preston Thomas and six great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Elmer Thomas, four sisters, Catherine Hoard, Helen Schiffbauer, Leona Turner, and one in infancy and one brother, Ralph Bowers.
Friends may call from 3-5 & 7-9 PM Monday at the McCulla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday at the McCulla Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Sale officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hills Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to Trisha, Jackie, Nancy, Kathy, Lori Ann, and Vicky of Morgantown Hospice for their loving and compassionate care and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Morgantown Hospice, P. O. Box 4222, Morgantown, WV 26504.
