Oscar Otis Rohrbough
Oscar Otis Rohrbough, 68, of Exchange, passed away November 23, 2010 at home.
He was born May 6, 1942 in Braxton County a son of the late Oscar James and Helen Virginia Perrine Rohrbough.
Otis worked for the Town of Gassaway for many years and was a Methodist.
He is survived by brothers, George of Cedar Creek, TX, Eddie and Jerry both of Exchange and Earl of Gassaway; sisters, Lola Schoonmaker and Lillie Setters both of Fairmont, Marsha Frame of Morgantown, Kathleen Rohrbough of Buckhannon, Louise Goodson and Joann Kesling both of Gassaway and Lillian Bostic of Exchange; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John and Bernard.
Service was 1 P.M. Monday, November 29 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Bill Carr officiating. Burial was in the Jacob Shaver Memorial Cemetery, Exchange.
Friends called two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Franklin Ray Mitchell
Franklin Ray Mitchell, 61, of Chloe, died Tuesday, November
23, 2010, on his farm, while deer hunting.
He was born March 8, 1949, in Redding, CA a son of Bobbie Ray Mitchell of Aurora, CO and the late Muriel Genevieve Hagerman Mitchell.
Mr. Mitchell was a retired Senior Medical NCO, with the U.S. Army. Also, he had worked as education counselor at Park College, Aurora, CO and a safety loss control officer for a cable company in Washington State. He enjoyed his work as a private contractor, working on his farm in Calhoun County.
In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Carolyn R. Richmond Mitchell of Chloe; two sons, Patrick and Anthony Mitchell; sister, Gail Wyatt of Redding, CA.
A funeral service was held Sunday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Wilmer “Bud” Richmond officiating. Burial, with military honors, was in the Minnora Cemetery, Minnora.
Friends called Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ida Mae Stout
Ida Mae Stout, 90, of Chapel, passed away December 25, 2010 at Braxton Health Care Center.
She was born March 20, 1920 a daughter of the late David and Sarah Nicholas.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Richmond Chapel Methodist Church, Chapel.
She is survived by daughters, Allie Mae Beall of Georgetown, OH, Shirley McMillion (Robert) of Gassaway and Julia White (David) of Grafton, OH; sons, Okey Stout (Nelda) of Grafton, OH and Willard David Stout (Ada) of Alliance, OH; 16 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Duckworth of Gassaway and Alma Duffield of Frametown; brother, Charles Nicholas (Mary) of Gassaway; sisters-in-law, Lila Nicholas of Gassaway and Sharlet Carpenter of Alliance, OH; Ruby Wayne who provided loving care and support and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Stout; daughter, Nellie Stout, three grandchildren; sisters, Faye Tucker, Alice Sawyers, Wilsie Cottrell and Betty Clowser; brother, Ernest Nicholas.
She will be greatly missed by all.
Service was 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 29 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. William Griffin officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Chapel.
Friends called from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Evangeline Lake, 86, of Rosedale, passed away Tuesday Dec. 21, 2010 at Braxton Co Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on May 3, 1924 at Gregory, WV. a daughter of the late John and Connie Helmick Cogar. She was a homemaker and Protestant by faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Horace Lake.
She is survived by one daughter, Robin Williams, Grand-daughter, Robin James and two great-grandchildren, Laura and Jordan all of Falls Mill-Napier area. One sister, Arlene Veith of Maryland.

Minnie A. McCauley
Minnie A. (Conrad) McCauley, 97, of Burnsville, WV. Passed away on Wednesday Dec. 8, 2010 in Huntington, WV. after a long illness.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1912 in Orlando, WV. A daughter of the late Ord and Effie Ocheltree Conrad. Minnie was a homemaker, a member of the Burnsville United Methodist Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and the IOOF Rebecca Lodge. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother.
Minnie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Argil McCauley, two sons, Ray Denzil and Delmar Argil McCauley and one daughter, Terry Lynn McCauley. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Emmitt, Earl, Ernest, Ray, Dale and Everette and one sister Ercie Conrad.
She is survived by her son, Dixie Lee McCauley of Mason, WV. Daughters, Dorothy Hartman and Dolores Hutzell also of Mason, WV.
Also surviving are 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

William Glen Conrad
William Glen Conrad, 64, of Buckhannon, WV.
formerly of Burnsville, WV passed away Tuesday Dec. 21, 2010 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital after a long illness.
He was born on February 27, 1946 in Burnsville. He was a son of the late Anna L. Conrad and Jesse Wine. He was a construction Lineman having worked for companies such as T A Chapman, Western Union and Brown and Root to mention a few.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Isic, Carl, Virgle, Bill and Bud and one sister, Goldie M. Harbert.
He is survived by sons Anthony, of Weston and Paul of Knoxville TN; Daughters, Marcey Kyre of Weston; Sharon Conrad, of Knoxville, TN;Brothers, James (“Peg”) (&Peggy) Conrad of Gilmer Station; Roy E. (&Vicky) Conrad of Burnsville; Sisters, Bertha Ratcliff of Dusk Camp and Evelyn Carson of Burnsville and #11 Grandchildren and #4 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 12-noon on Friday Dec. 24, 2010 at Stockert-Sizemore Funeral Home in Flatwoods, WV. with Rev. Delmas Singleton officiating. Burial was in Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters, WV. Friends called one hour prior to the services on Friday.
Mr. Christian B. Hill, II
Christian Bradford Hill II passed away in Poca on May 24th at the very young age of 19.
Christian is predeceased by his great-grandparents Freddie and Katie Hill, Ruthann Bennett, Papa Jack (Juanita) Simeral, and Ruth Simeral and grandparents Joan and Larry Kirby.
Christian is survived by his loving parents Kami (Paul) Hill of Poca, and Christian (Tina) Hill of Poca.
Christian is lovingly remembered by his great-grandparents Alice Dolin, Denny Dolin (Bev) and Bob Bennett (Marion); grandparents Kim Dolin, (Papa) John Craddock and (Mimi) Sue Beth Craddock, Brad Hill; aunts and uncles John Dolin (Courtney), Heather Hill (Niko), Jeremy Hill (Liz), Kaci Dolin, and Eve Hill, brothers and sisters Griffin and Logan Holbert and Stanton Hill, several cousins and many other in his extended families. Christian was a kind hearted person who always put the feelings of others first. He leaves behind many, many friends and loved ones that will always cherish him.
Christian was born in South Charleston, WV in February 10, 1995. He graduated from Nitro High School in 2013. He was employed by Cunningham Energy.
Christian enjoyed the outdoors and physical fitness. During his time at Poca and Nitro High School, he was a standout football player and a student admired by his peers.
A tribute to the life of Christian will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 29, 2014 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Thaxton and Jody Pauley officitaing. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
