Madden Asher Smith went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 20th, 2014.
Madden is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Jeremy Smith; sisters, Morgan, Ashlynn, Carson, and Madelynn; brothers, Cole and Maddox; maternal grandparents, Bill and Diane Slimick; paternal grandmother, Sharon Smith; uncles, Billy Slimick and Barry Smith; and cousin, Taylor.
Madden was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Smith.
Madden may have only lived 47 short days, but he touched the lives of many people!!!

The only peace we have is knowing Madden has life more abundantly in heaven with Jesus! We will see Madden again soon!!
A celebration of Madden’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014. Visitation is from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Kingdom Life Fellowship Church, 405 1st Avenue, Nitro. The funeral will start at 2:00pm.

Lawrence R. Kelley
Lawrence R. Kelley, 77, of Sutton, WV. passed away Friday Dec. 24, 2010 in Stonewall Jackson Hospital after a short illness.
He was born on Oct. 21, 1933 in Fayette Co. WV a son of the late Harlen Kelley and Edith Kuhl Kelley Cosner. He was a 1951 graduate of Burnsville High School and a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from American Standard Heating and Plumbing Company in Trenton, New Jersey.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby Kelley.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Kelley: four sons; Randy and Nancy Kelley, Sam and Patty Kelley, Jeffrey Kelley all of Levittown, PA. and Ronald Kelley of Knoxville, TN, and three daughters; Teresa and Tony Catana of Levittown, PA. and Lois and Sean Cain, and Pamela Brodalski of Alpharetta GA. Also surviving are several grandchildren. Brother Jerry Kelley (Jane) of Carleton, MI and sister Jo Ann Simmons (Ralph) of Palm Beach FL. And many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday Dec. 28, 2010 at Stockert-Sizemore Funeral Home in Flatwoods, WV. Friends called from 6-8:00 PM Monday evening and Tuesday from 9:00 AM to service time at the funeral home. Burial was in Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters, WV. with graveside Military Honors by American Legion Post #33 of Gassaway, WV.

Winifred O. Ratliff Nuckols
Winifred O. Ratliff Nuckols, 86, of Heaters, WV passed away Friday Dec. 24, 2010 at Laurel Nursing Center in Big Otter after a long illness.
She was born on May 4, 1924 at Dutch, WV a daughter of the late William Wirt and Anna B, Conley Ratliff. She was a life long resident of Braxton County and a homemaker. She was the last living child of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; William Fay, Burk, Claude, Dee, Brown, Ward and James. Sisters; Virginia, Jesse, Ella, Winnie and Dailey.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Edward “Ed” Nuckols, one daughter, Judith Ratliff both of Heaters. Her step-son’s include, Edward Jr., Roger Nuckols of Virginia, step-daughters, Sylvia Seaby, Carolyn Ratliff and Patty Dove all of Virginia.

Harold Harrison Bright
Harold Harrison Bright, 96, of South Charleston, WV. Passed away Thursday Dec. 16, 2010 at Golden Living-Riverside Nursing Home in St. Albans, WV after a long illness.
Mr. Bright was a native of Braxton County and was retired from FMC in South Charleston.
He is preceded in death by his wife Zelda Bright.
Mr. Bright is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Sallie B. Moore of South Charleston, WV. Two grandsons, Andrew Moore of St. Albans, WV and Timothy Moore of Calabash, NC. Two Great-Grandchildren, Christopher Moore and Sydney Moore and one Great-Greatgrandson, Wesley Moore.

Larry Glen Cochran, Sr.
Larry Glen Cochran, Sr., 68, of Sutton quietly passed away Christmas afternoon at his home on Erbacon Road.
Larry was born in Webster County, WV on Feb. 17, 1942, the son of the late Glen and Rosalie Cochran.
He worked and lived most of his life in Ohio retiring from the Ford Motor Company.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and a sister Cordella Hall.
He is survived by his loving wife Plessa and their children Leslie Sandy, Larry Cochran, Jr. and wife Marlena all of Sutton, Lynn Ellison and husband Michael of Summersville, and Trenton Cochran and wife Brandy of Wellington, OH, his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Peyton, Joe, Ashlee, Tiara, Darean, and Mika and great-grandchild Naomi; brothers, Lynn Cochran of Diana, WV, Henry Cochran of Wellington, OH; 2 sisters, Vee Cruz of Ashtabula, OH, and Brenda Cochran of Geneva, Oh.

Ms. Lola G. Harrouff, 96, of Birch River, WV died August 25, 2008 in Webster Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born May 20, 1912, a daughter of the late Dow & Viola Collins George. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Howard Harrouff; daughter Irene Simms; and son Charles Harrouff.
She was a Baptist by faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by 2 sons Burl Harrouff of Warren, OH and Bill Harrouff of Lost Creek, WV; 1 daughter June Frame of Birch River; 2 sisters Wilma Jenkins of Aurora WV and Delma Miller of Buckhannon, WV; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Birch River Cemetery, Birch River, with Rev. Linn Schiefer officiating. There will be no visitation.

Wilmer Coffman, 77, of Heaters, WV died in Braxton County Memorial Hospital on August 20, 2008. He was born November 11, 1930 at Polemic Run, WV a son of the late William C. & Ida B.Whytsell Coffman. Also preceding him in death were a son Vestel C. Coffman; brother James F. Coffman and sister Mae Sue Jackson.
He was a self-employed Brick Mason.
He is survived by his wife Ada D. Davis Coffman; one son Veon M. Coffman at home; 3 daughters, Vanessa K. Makely of Front Royal, VA, Vonda L. Burrell of Faixfax, VA and Vangelene R. Towery of Gainesville, VA; 1 brother Audice L. Coffman of Little Birch; and 5 sisters Ertha Carder of Belpre, OH, Mildred Wolford of Clarksburg, Louvilla Medina of Spelter, Sandra Gonzolas of Shinnston and Aurellia Armstrong of Florida. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV with Rev. Paul Beatty officiating. Burial will be in the Barker Ridge Cemetery near Sutton, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service.

Victoria L. Cottrill, 12, of Flatwoods, WV went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2008. She was born August 24, 1995 in Buckhannon, WV a daughter of Franklyn S. and Elizabeth J. Cottrill.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving sister Katlyn Cottrill at home; maternal grandparents, John & Drema Ridenour of Flatwoods; paternal grandmother, Agatha Tinney of Sutton,WV; paternal grandfather, Frank Cottrill of Sand Fork; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Victoria would have been an 8th grade student at Braxton County Middle School where she was in the Band, Chorus and a member of RAZE Club.

Tammie Lou Boggs, 44, of Exchange, WV died August 14, 2008 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Parkersburg, WV. She was born August 5, 1964, in Sutton, WV a daughter of the late Charles Clarence Stump, Sr. & Alma Cleora Younkin Stump. Also preceding her in death was one sister Esther Marie Helmick.
She was a Christian by faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Bruce Boggs; 2 sons M. Jacob Boggs and wife Rebecca of Exchange and Joshua Boggs and wife Clarissa of Gassaway; one daughter Miranda Boggs of Parkersburg; 2 brothers Charles Stump Jr. and Grant Stump; 5 sisters Susie Yeager, Helen Ann Shaver, Linda Nettles, Kim Cox and Roxanne Carson; and 6 grandchildren Tyler Boggs, Sawyer Boggs, Katelynn Boggs, Darran Boggs, Victoria Cottrill and Katlyn Kincaid.
A private service will be held at a later date.
