Mrs. Florence Evelyn Rollins
Mrs. Florence Evelyn Rollins, 95 of Poca passed away January 22, 2015.
She was a welder during WWII, known as Rosie the Riveter. She was also a homemaker, caregiver to many and attended Faith Independent Church.
Mrs. Rollins is survived by her children Tammy Jividen, Linda Hitchcock and Ruby Poindexter and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday January 24, 2015 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home. Following the visitation a funeral procession will leave the funeral home for burial in Old Antioch Cemetery, Red House.
At the request of the family, please no flowers.

Emmit D. Facemire
Emmit D. Facemire, 78, of Little Birch, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
He was born September 26, 1936 in Sutton, the son of the late Ira Ward & Clara Collins Facemire. He was also preceded in death by two sisters; Eulah Fleming and Beulah Facemire and three brothers; Russel L. Facemire, Ray Facemire and Ronald Facemire.
Emmit was a self employed Carpenter and Masonry and was a Christian by faith.
He is survived by his loving wife; Reda Facemire, sons; Randy Facemire (Jennifer) of Little Birch, Bobby Facemire (Suzie) and Larry Facemire all of Gassaway, Billy Facemire of Sutton, brother; Emil Facemire of Little Birch, grandchildren; Elana Thaxton, Joseph Facemire, Brigitte Zook, Whitney Patterson, Keith Facemire, II, great-grandchildren; Kaden Thaxton, Isabella Zook and Bristol Patterson. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton with Rev. Carl Bradshaw officiating. Burial followed at Braxton Memorial Cemetery, Sutton. Family received friends one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
Greene-Robertson Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Facemire family.

Johnny Phillip Morris
Johnny Phillip Morris, 57, of Little Birch, passed away at his residence after a sudden illness on September 9, 2015. He was born in Sutton, WV on November 11, 1957 a son of Robert Morris and the late Ruby (Smallwood) Morris who proceeded Johnny in death on March 22, 1991.
Johnny is survived by brothers and sisters Jim Morris and wife Ruth of Sutton, WV, Billy Morris of Gassaway, Linda Cutlip of Sutton, WV, Joanna Barnett and Husband Walter of Sutton, WV, Jackie Morris, WV, Cathy Morris, Cindy Ferguson, Robert Morris, Jr. and Eugene Morris, all of OH. He is also survived by his lifelong friend and former wife Dana Morris of Gassaway, WV and several step-children, several grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Johnny was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and ginseng. His favorite game to hunt was deer and his favorite fish to catch was trout and he could spot ginseng from a mile away. Jimmy had a great sense of humor and he loved children. Jimmy was a great mechanic, he could fix almost anything. Johnny worked as a timber cutter for many years before he became disabled.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2015 from 11-1 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. Funeral services will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Linn Schiefer officiating. Interment will be held in the Tesla Cemetery.

Holian Utt
Holian Utt, 79, of Sutton, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
She was born July 7, 1936 in Sutton the daughter of the late McKinley and Faye Tinney Kelley.
Holian was a homemaker and attended Long Run Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Henry, sons, Johnny Utt (Cindy) and Billy Utt (Merideth) all of Sutton, William Henry Utt (Bernice) of Harpers Ferry, WV, daughters, Sandy Stewart (Richard), Karen McCourt (Charlie), and Joyce Corbett (Paul) all of Sutton, sisters, Judy George of Mt. Airy, MD, Hildress Walker of Akron, OH, Hyvonda Helmick of Baltimore, MD, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton with Rev. Robey Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Tinney Cemetery, Road Run Rd., Herold, WV. Friends may call one hour prior the services at the funeral home. Greene-Robertson Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Utt family.

Lowell W. Knight
Lowell W. Knight, 85, of Gassaway died September 12, 2015.
He was the son of the late Ernest I. Knight and Nina Hudkins Knight and the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Lowell is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Perkins Knight; son, Steve M. “Sooner” Knight and wife, Tina of Gassaway; two nephews and three nieces; close friends, Bill and Denise Mowery.
Lowell was a member of the West Virginia National Guard and served his country with the U.S. Army in Korea.
He Completed the Eighth grade at the one room Triplett School and graduated from Gassaway High School in 1949.
Lowell graduated from Glenville State College with a BA Degree and received his Master of Science Degree from Marshall University.
He was a teacher at Gassaway High School and a Braxton County Social Worker.
Lowell organized adult education classes in central West Virginia and retired from the West Virginia Department of Education as State Supervisor of ABE and GED classes.
He was a member and elder of the Gassaway Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, he was also a member of the West Virginia Retired Teachers Association, Gassaway Lions Club and a board member of the United Christian Food Pantry.
In addition to his parents Lowell was preceded in death by his brother, Harding S. Knight; sisters, Nina Kelley, Velma Lenore Howton and Zelma Delore Shaw.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Christian Food Pantry, P.O. Box 263, Gassaway, WV 26624.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, Gassaway with the Rev. Barbara Accord officiating. Interment will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway and one hour prior to service at the church.

Debbie Jean Pulliam
Debbie Jean Pulliam, 59, of Burnsville, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born on August 28, 1956 in Weston, WV to the late Barbara Jean Muir. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Addison Diane Pyle.
Those left to honor her memory are sons, Steven L. Pulliam of Ripley, WV Carl Lee Pulliam of Burnsville, WV and Dakota B. Pulliam of Ravenswood, WV; daughters, Barbara Pyles of Oregon, Eva Pulliam of Burnsville, Kayla Pulliam of Ravenswood, Jennifer Pulliam of Kenna, WV, and Tasha Pulliam of Dunbar, WV. Also surviving are brothers, Raymond Nehlig Sr. and Joey Barbazone, both of St. Bernard, LA; sisters, Wanda Morrow of Hattisburg, MS, Linda McPherson and Edna Melerine, both of Burnsville; grandchildren, Vanessa Brooke Nidy, Sarina Elizabeth Pyle, and Jillian Reese Pyle.
Debbie cared for her family dearly, and was a wonderful wife and mother throughout her life. She was the mother of two biological children, along with six legally adopted more, which she loved very much. In addition to her family, she had a deep compassion for animals. She previously worked as a dog groomer, and had worked in a pet shop. She took pleasure in hobbies such as making ceramics, fishing, boating, camping and enjoyed working in the yard and was always happy to weed eat. Debbie was a cheerful, compassionate person who will be deeply missed by her family.
A private Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date.

William Alan “Popeye” Hacker
William Alan “Popeye” Hacker, 64, of Pine Street, Gassaway, WV, passed away on October 12, 2015 after a sudden illness. He was born in Sutton, WV on January 11, 1951. He was a son of the late Gilbert Hacker and Lena (Bender) Hacker. William was also preceded in death by one brother.
Mr. Hacker is survived by his current wife Gloria, and daughters, Heather Hacker and Amber Jacobs and husband Nathan. Also surviving are brothers, Wayne Hacker and wife Helen, Curly Hacker and wife Ruth, Tink Hacker and wife Judy, and Jack Hacker and wife Chris. Also surviving are sisters, Karen Jackson (Mib) and Sharon Jackson. He is also is survived by step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Mr. Hacker was a well-known carpenter, roofer, and mowed many lawns. Pop, as many knew him, was an avid outdoorsmen. He loved to hunt, especially deer and also loved fishing. He was also well known for his sense of humor and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lynn Schiefer officiating. Interment will follow services in the Frame Cemetery in Herold, WV.
The Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home of Flatwoods will be handling the arrangements for the Hacker Family.

Margaret Theresa Piechowski
Margaret Theresa Piechowski, 88, of Sutton, WV passed away at her home on October 14, 2015. She was born on August 16, 1927 and is the daughter of the late Joseph Koscso and Theresa (Vanyo) Koscso. She is also predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Steve and Andrew Koscso and sisters, Pearl and Erma Koscso.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur Piechowski and wife Laurie and Mark Piechowski and wife Linda. Also surviving are grandchildren Eric, Lisa, Alex, Kara and Bret Piechowski and Nichole Roth and husband Doug ad Kristy Savage and husband Brendan.
She loved the Cleveland Indians and loved to go to games and listen to them on the radio. She attended the last World Series in 1948 that the Indians won. As well as the Cleveland Indians Margaret also enjoyed the Cleveland Browns and the Cavaliers. She loved to attend the sporting events that her grandchildren participated in and spending time with those that she loved. She was very opinionated and enjoyed sharing her opinions and stories with those around her. In spite of not being able to drive she walked to the grocery store and was able to live on her own till the last few years.
Her famous saying was, “Just be good.” Margaret was a Catholic by Faith and attend several local Catholic Churches in the area.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ferfolia Funeral Home, 336 West Aurora Road, Sagamore Hills, OH, 44067. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the SS Cosmas and Damian Church, 10419 Razenna Road, Twinsburg, OH on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow services in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Brookpark , OH.
Local arrangements are being handled by Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Rd, Flatwoods, WV 26621.

Betty Jean (Claypoole) Singleton
Betty Jean (Claypoole) Singleton, 70, of Roanoke, WV, departed this life on Sunday, August 11, 2016. She was born on October 17, 1945 in Crawford, WV, and was the daughter of Noah and Lona (Conrad) Claypoole. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Singleton, who went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2003.
Those left to honor her memory are her son, Timothy Claypoole of OH; daughter, Sandy Singleton and her husband, Donald Cottell of Roanoke, WV; grandchildren, Victoria Claypoole of Orlando, FL, Chelsie and Kelsie Cottrell of Roanoke. Also surviving are brothers, Denzil Claypoole of Buckhannon, WV and Melvin (Sue) Claypoole of OH; sisters, Mary Ann (Junior) Booth of Jane Lew, WV, and Dorothy Allen of Jane Lew; family friend, Kim West.
Betty was a Christian by faith, always attending church when able. She loved the outdoors, from playing in the flowers to tending the garden. She enjoyed hunting mushrooms, searching for deer horns, watching the deer, turkeys, and other wildlife, and walking around the farm. An avid animal lover, she found company in Tilly the pony, Baxter the donkey, Grover the cat, Maggie and Bailey the dogs, and Mrs. Lucy. Betty also took delight in spending time with friends and family. She was the glue that held our family together and will be missed in everything we do.
We love you Nan.

Robert W. Graff
Robert W. Graff, 84, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday evening, Aug. 14, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, with his family by his side.
Robert was born June 19, 1932, in Orlando, West Virginia, a son of the late John and Ersie McCauley Graff. He was a 1950 graduate of Burnsville High School in West Virginia, and came to Youngstown in the mid-1950s.
Bob was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War, and was stationed in Norfolk, Va.
He worked as a welder for 42 years with the former Greif Bros. Corporation in Youngstown, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Graff enjoyed fishing, and hunting on his property in West Virginia. He was a sports enthusiast and a fan of the Cleveland pro sports teams, and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
Bob leaves his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Pulliam Graff, whom he married Dec. 3, 1957; three daughters, Debbie Rouzzo (Dave Landrum) of Austintown, Barb (Joe) Sanfilippo of Austintown, Janie (Brian) See of Hudson; his son, Bobby (MaryAnn) Graff of Boardman; nine grandchildren, Lindsay (Jeremy), Marissa (Mike), Matthew (Angela), Kristen (Nick) , Dante, Kyle, Austin, Aubriana, and Adam; three great-grandchildren, Gianna, Makenna, and Justin; a brother, Dick Graff of Burnsville, W.Va.; and two sisters, Betty (Kenny) Pulliam of Barberton and Patty Cobb of Doylestown.
A brother, Gary Brown, preceded him in death.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Funeral services will take place at the funeral home, Thursday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m.
Committal services will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
