Lacy Marie Whittington, 18, of Nitro died Monday, March 30, 2009.
Lacy attended Nitro High School and was a lifeguard for several years at Nitro City Pool. She was an avid equestrian rider who participated in many horse shows across the Tri-State area.
Born May 11, 1990, she was the loving daughter of Brenda Whittington of Weirton and Jerry Whittington of Nitro. She is survived by grandparents, Karen and Jerry Whittington of Nitro.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Alice and Delbert Dailey of Tyler Mountain.
She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be greatly missed and loved by all.
George M. Archer
George Michael Archer, 78, of Nitro passed away April 1, 2009, in CAMC General Hospital NSICU of complications of a stroke.
George was born March 14, 1931, in Dunbar. He was the son of the late Mike and Virgie Archer. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Garland; sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and William Starks; nephew, William Starks Jr.; and in-laws, Guy and Elsie Sizemore.
Surviving: wife, Betty Jane; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Tom Dingess of Nitro; grandsons, Michael Aaron, Guy Emerson Mobley and Tyler Andrew Dingess; and granddaughter, Gracie Mae Mobley, all of Nitro; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Donna Archer of Dunbar; brother-in-law and wife, Bob and Pat Sizemore of Lady Lake, Fla., sister-in-law, Gwen Sizemore of Nitro; and several nieces and nephews.
George was retired from the Department of Logistics in Pittsburgh where he worked as a quality assurance inspector. He was member of the 167th West Virginia Air National Guard, Martinsburg. He was a Air Force veteran, stationed in the 307th Bomb Group, based at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, as a B-29 engine specialist during the Korean War.
Timothy L. Lanham
Timothy L. Lanham, 49, of Charleston passed away Friday, June 18, 2010, at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston.
He was an automobile mechanic, lifelong resident of Kanawha County, and attended North Charleston Apostolic Church.
He is survived by wife, Brenda Mitchell Lanham; four sons, Timothy Jr., Tommy, Brandon, and Keven; five daughters, Eve, Joyce, Jamie, Barbara, and Salina; two brothers; four sisters; and 16 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2010, at the funeral home.

Harry V. Janey Jr.
Harry V. Janey Jr., 62, of Orrville, Ohio, formerly of Nitro, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009.
Harry was a life member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a graduate of Nitro High School and served in the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He was a Protestant.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry V. Janey Sr.; and sister, Joan Evans.
Harry is survived by his mother, Phyllis Grey of Maryland; half brothers, Gene and Timothy Grey, both of Maryland; and two uncles, Paul and John Janey, both of Nitro.
Ina Holley
Ina Ham Holley, 96, of Nitro passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at home after a long illness.
Ina was a homemaker and a former school crossing guard at Nitro Elementary School. She carried a 164 average in the Nitro Bowling League. She attended the Nitro Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Odell “Pete” Holley, and four sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Geneva Crewdson of Nitro and Valerie Taylor of Beth Page, Tenn.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
John Prudich
John Prudich, 90, of Charleston died June 18, 2010.
He was a retired chemist who had worked for Union Carbide at the South Charleston Plant for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Charleston; his children, Michael (Carolyn) of Athens, Ohio, Mary Jane (Robert Jennings) of Kernersville, N.C., and Daniel (Dorothy) of Charleston; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Henry of Texas.
John was born June 1, 1920, in Boone County to Anton and Frances Albrecht Prudich and was raised in Powellton, Fayette County.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at Bible Center Church, 100 Bible Center Drive, Charleston.
Raymond E. Doss
Raymond Eugene Doss, 70, of Shrewsbury, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 7, 2008, at home after a short battle with cancer. He was born April 1, 1938, in Iroquois, Wyoming County.
Raymond was a retired machinist from the General Electric in Charleston with 20 years of service. He was a United States veteran. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy and Vietnam War with the 82nd Airborne. Raymond was a member of the Shrewsbury Community Church of Shrewsbury.
Those who preceded him in death were his parents, Herman and Eula Doss; brothers, Jim Doss, Charles Doss, Bill Doss, and Eddie Doss; and sister, Marie Bailey.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lola Doss; son, Mike and Jeannie of Ripley; granddaughter, Jaci Johnson and husband Richie of Eleanor; grandson, Chad Tucker of Buffalo; great-granddaughter, Brianna Luikart of Eleanor; sisters, Lou Boswell of Glasgow, Shirley Raike of Huntley, Ill., Dinky and Gary Peyton of Campbells Creek, and June and Shine Williams of Shrewsbury; brother, Leroy and Doris Doss of Belle; two step-granddaughters; five step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice F. Huddleston
Bernice F. Dillard Huddleston, 74, of Cedar Grove passed away Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008 after a long illness.
She was a mail sorter for Cope Distribution Company. Bernice worked in Ohio before moving back to West Virginia. She was a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jennings “Jink” Huddleston and brother, Grover Dillard.
She is survived by sons, James Eddie Huddleston and wife Charlotte of Savannah, OH, J. Wayne Huddleston and wife, Melissa of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Charolette Osborne and husband, Tom of Cedar Grove; brothers, Bert Dillard of Pond Gap, Russell Dillard of Moncure, NC, Ira Dillard of Pond Gap; sisters, Louise Rucker of Pond Gap, Naoma Williams of Belle; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Robin L. Scruggs
Robin Lynn Scruggs, 42, of Winifrede, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008, at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1965, in Charleston. Robin was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Protestant. Robin worked for PEIA for the state of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Romie Lee Selbe and mother, Anna Marie Selbe.
Surviving are her husband, William “Rick” Scruggs of Winifrede; sons, Thomas Dorinsife and wife, Heather, of Charleston, William “Jr” Scruggs of Winifrede; brothers, Romie “Hop” Selbe and wife, Tina, of Nitro, Berry “Chris” Selbe and wife, Terry, of Costa; grandchild, Alaina Jade; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Linda Scruggs of Winifrede; brothers-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Scruggs and wife, Joy, of Cross Lanes, Samuel K. Scruggs and wife, Lori, of Cross Lanes; several nieces and nephews.
Suzzanne M. Tenkhoff
Suzzanne M. Johnson Tenkhoff, 55, of Nitro passed away Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital Charleston after a long illness.
Suzzanne was a Register Nurse, a Licensed Message Therapist, and a homemaker. She was a life long resident of Nitro and a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of St. Albans.
Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth Jones and her husband, Robert of South Charleston, Sarah McKinney and her husband, Ralph Jr. of Nitro; 2 grandchildren; 2 nephews; and 1 niece.

Darrell Wayne Means, 52, of St. Albans passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at home after a long illness. He was a former employee of the city of South Charleston.
Surviving are daughters, Angel Dunn and husband, Charles, Rachel Payne and husband, Carry; brothers, Kenny, Carl and sister, Darlene Sutton; eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Lula M. Parsons
Lula M. Davis Parsons, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2008, after a long illness.
Lula was a lifelong resident of Nitro, a homemaker and a Baptist.
Her husband, Ralph Parsons, preceded her in death.
Surviving: sons, Bill Parsons of Nitro, Ray Parsons and his wife, Debbie, of Nitro and Ralph Parsons of Cross Lanes; daughters, Sharon Johnson and her husband, Charlie, of Nitro, Barbara Jackson and her husband, Jessie, of Charleston and Drema Mallett and her husband, Billy, of Decatur, Ala.; 16 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Doris Jacqueline Hudnall Johnson, 70, of Campbells Creek formerly of Pond Gap fell asleep in Christ April 19th, 2008 and is awaiting the return of Christ and the Resurrection of the dead at the end of this age.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Johnson; parents, James and Mildred Hudnall; grandson, James Cody Johnson; and 5 sisters; and 2 brothers.
She is survived by daughter, Susan Felber and her husband, Charles of Poca; sons, Greg Johnson and his wife, Kristy of Campbells Creek, Terry Johnson and his wife, Sherry of Pond Gap, Randall Johnson of Campbells Creek and Mark Johnson of West Lafayette, IN; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
