Mary L. Hannaman
Mary Louise Vickartovsky Hannaman, 83, of
Marmet, W.Va., formerly of Parkersburg,
departed this life Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, at
Heartland of Charleston after a long illness.
She was born June 10, 1922, in Wood County,
the daughter of the late Cozby Vickartovsky
Moore and Andrew J. Vickartovsky. She was a
lifelong homemaker and a devoted wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert
Lyle; her brother, Edwin Vickartovsky; her
sister, Maxine Bennett; and her stepfather,
Creed Moore.
Mary is survived by one daughter, Carol A.
Waggoner of Marmet; one son and daughter-in-
law, Don E. and Elaine Hannaman of
Parkersburg; and one sister, Betty L. McGee of
Milton, Fla. Additional survivors include four
granddaughters, Robin L. Waggoner of Pratt,
W.Va., Kelly Waggoner Pell of Marmet, Lisa K.
Nutter of Newark, Ohio, and Lori Hannaman Burk
of Charlotte, N.C.; one grandson, Don E.
Hannaman II of Marietta, Ga.; and grandsons-in-
law, Gary Pell, Eric Burk and Ron Nutter.
She is also survived by five great-
grandchildren, Tanner Pell, Lauren and Megan
Burk and Ryan and Trenton Nutter; and four
nieces, Rita J. McGee of Milton, Fla., Cheryl
Isler of Pensacola, Fla., Janice Treadaway of
Gainesville, Fla., and Diana Vickartovsky
Brown of Reedy, W.Va.
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation. Graveside
services will be at the Lubeck Cemetery in
Lubeck for the family only and will be
officiated by the Rev. Keith Hostutler of the
First Church of the Nazarene. The ashes of her
husband, Robert, will be buried at the same
time.
C. Juanita Stehly
C. Juanita Houck Stehly, 97, a resident of
Worthington Manor, passed away Sunday, Sept.
18, 2005, at the nursing facility in
Parkersburg.
She was born June 24, 1908, in Rockport, a
daughter of the late John J. Houck and Maggie
(Florence) Houck.
Mrs. Stehly had retired from the Ames Co. with
more than 30 years of service as a secretary,
is a member of the Trinity United Methodist
Church of Parkersburg where she had earned a
38-year perfect attendance record in the
Willing Workers Sunday School Class, is a
member of the Order of the Eastern Star
Chapter 14 and the Oriental Shrine and is a
member of the Flower and Garden Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Jo Ann Kyle
and husband, William F. Kyle Jr., and one son,
Robert C. Rogers and wife, Doris, all of
Parkersburg; one sister, Hazel Lewis and
husband, the Rev. Garland Lewis, of
Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Terri
Milligan and husband, Joe, of Parkersburg,
Michael Rogers and wife, Betty, of Marietta,
Roger Kyle and wife, Elizabeth, of Rockport
and David Kyle of Mineral Wells; four great-
grandchildren, Eric Milligan, Staci Milligan,
Jordan Kyle and Justin Kyle; two stepgreat-
grandchildren; six stepgreat-great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Clarence Stehly; and one brother, Archie D.
Houck.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at
the Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor James Burdette
officiating. Burial will follow in the
Evergreen North Cemetery. Family will receive
friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
Mildred Null
Mildred Rowley Null, 91, of Parkersburg passed
away Sept. 13, 2005, at her grandson's home in
Clarksburg, where she has resided for the past
two-and-a-half years.
She was born May 20, 1914, in Wood County, a
daughter of the late Oscar and Rosa Haas
Rowley. Mildred retired from Camden-Clark
Memorial Hospital in 1980. She was a member of
the Homemakers Club and the Women's Christian
Temperance Union. She enjoyed quilting and
traveling, having been in 49 of the United
States and several foreign countries.
Surviving is her daughter, Rosa McConnell and
her companion, Herman Cline, of Bremen, Ohio;
two grandsons, Jeffery Cline and his wife,
Shane, of Clarksburg and Ricky McConnell and
his wife, Judy, of Walker; one stepgrandchild,
Shawn McIntyre; four great-grandchildren,
Rebecca Cline and Cody, Austin and Stacy
McConnell; a stepgreat-grandchild, Jordan
McIntyre; three sisters, Beulah Siers and
Lucille DeLancey, both of Williamstown, and
Betty Westbrook of Morgantown; and several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first
husband, Ruley Farley, in 1951; four brothers,
Richard, George, Herbert and Frank Rowley; and
two sisters, Grace Heckert and Kathryn
Westfall.
The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m.
Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor Bernard Thrash
officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen
South Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m.
today and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home.
Anita J. Paden
Anita Jean Paden, 78, of Vienna died Thursday,
Sept. 8, 2005, at the St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born Dec. 9, 1926, in Wood County, a
daughter of the late William and Mildred
(Jackson) Fleming. Mrs. Paden is a member of
the First Presbyterian Church of Parkersburg,
had retired in 1985, with more than 10 years
of service with Pennzoil of Parkersburg; had
formerly been employed with Hartman Oil and
Gas as a secretary for more than 20 years;
enjoyed crocheting, working word search books;
and was an avid reader.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Deems
and husband, "Scott, " of Parkersburg and
Jennifer Lilly and husband, "Carlee" of
Wellington, Fla.; four sons, Kevin Paden,
Russell Paden and wife, "Kathy, " James Paden
and wife, Brenda, all of Parkersburg and
Randall Paden of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; one
sister, Frances Tice of Vienna; four
grandchildren, Brenna and Wyatt, both of
Florida, Kristie of Vienna and James Russell
of Parkersburg; three great-grandchildren; and
several nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Russell
Homer Paden Jr.; and one brother, William D.
Fleming Jr.
A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m.
Monday at the Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
St., Parkersburg, with Pastor Keith Hostutler
officiating. Burial will follow in the
Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Family will
receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4
p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family has requested that all memorial
donations in memory of Mrs. Paden be sent to
Housecalls Home Health and Hospice.
