Morris White, 72, of Parkland Place,
Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 7, 2008, at
Worthington Manor Nursing Home.
It was the request of Mr. Morris to be
cremated and that there be no service or
visitation.

Evelyn Louise Sims Greenleaf
Parkersburg, WV
Evelyn Louise Sims Greenleaf, 76, of
Parkersburg passed away Dec. 29, 2007, at
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Everett Newton Sims and
Michie Virginia Elder Sims Knopp. She was a
member of First Lutheran Church and had
attended Pettyville United Methodist Church
and was a homemaker. Evelyn had been a
contestant in the Miss Victory Pageant and she
enjoyed gardening and flowers, working word
puzzles, sewing and spending time with her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is one son, Robert Everett Bryan
Greenleaf and his wife, Joetta, of Portland,
Ohio; three daughters, Tina Louise Dunn and
her husband, Bob, and Tandra Mae Mays and her
husband, Dan, all of Parkersburg, and LuAnn
Virginia Wilson and her husband, Jim, of
Washington, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Wilson
and her husband, Jim, of Parkersburg, and
Maybelle Sims Conley Reeder of Parkersburg;
several nieces and nephews; and three very
dear friends, JoAnn Miller of Belpre and Betty
DeVore and Carol Sams, both of Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Robert Eugene Greenleaf in 1971; an infant
son; a daughter, Tonya Jean Greenleaf in 1954;
and her brother, James Everett (Jim) Sims.
The funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Monday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor Mike Allen and Pastor
Jim Sims officiating. Burial will follow at
Evergreen South Cemetery. The visitation will
be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today.

Frederick B Patterson
Parkersburg, WV
Frederick B. (Fred) Patterson, 83, of
Parkersburg went home to be with his Lord Dec.
28, 2007, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 13, 1924, in Parkersburg, a
son of the late Otha Patterson and Myrtle
Tuttle Patterson Nichols. Fred was a retired
operating engineer in Dayton, Ohio, and a
member of the North End Church of Christ.
Surviving is his wife, Corrine Bower
Patterson, whom he married Jan. 23, 1943;
brothers, James Patterson in Ohio; a
stepsister, Winnie Ruth Hays in Indiana; and a
stepbrother, Lloyd Nichols in Indiana.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Evangelist Wirt Cook
officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg
Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon
until service time Monday.
Charles A Ruley
Parkersburg, WV
Charles A. Ruley, 81, of Unity Place,
Parkersburg, and a more recent resident of
Arlington Personal Care, went home to be with
his Lord and Savior on Dec. 26, 2007, from
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Parkersburg,
a son of the late Lloyd G. Ruley and Pearl
Ruth Hardman Ruley Stanley and stepson of the
late Melissa J. Ruley. He was a member of
Grace Gospel Church and had been an employee
of Banner Printing.
Surviving are two sisters, Gloria Mae White of
Akron and Betty Lou Allman and her husband,
John, of Mineral Wells; niece and caregiver,
Joyce Cross and her husband, Fred, of Mineral
Wells; nieces, Janet Joachim of Washington and
Debbie Kellar of Ohio; nephew, Fred L. Stoops
in Michigan; and other nieces and nephews in
the Akron area.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta
M. Buckley Ruley; a half-brother, Joseph
Stanley Jr.; and two sisters, Juanita Stoops
and Wanda Louise Flinn.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor Roger Benson and Mr.
Sterling Ball officiating. Burial will follow
at Pond Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The
visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
Audra L. Herdman
Belpre, OH
Audra L. Herdman, 82, of Belpre passed away Dec. 24, 2007, at the Marietta Center.
It was Audra’s request that there be no
service or viewing and that her ashes be
buried beside her husband, Gordon W. Herdman,
at the Pleasant View Cemetery.
Cremation arrangements are being taken care of
by Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Myra E. Life Cox
Parkersburg, WV
Myra E. Life Cox, 58, of Parkersburg passed
away Dec. 22, 2007, at Eagle Point Nursing
Home where she had been a resident for the
past seven years.
She was born Nov. 20, 1949, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Henry L. and Helen
Victoria Danser Life.
Myra was a member of the Church of Christ
having last attended services with the Sunrise
congregation. She was a licensed beautician
and owned her own shop for 27 years and she
had been an instructor with Valley Beauty
School in Parkersburg.
Surviving are two sons, William L. (Kimberly)
Cox and Brian R. (Loretta) Cox, all of
Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Marrena Cox,
Cristena Cox, Brandon Cox and Jonathan
Marshall; two brothers, Laurence Life of
Springfield, Mo., and Denver Life of
Titusville, Fla., and her former husband,
William Cox of Mineral Wells.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with burial to follow. The
visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
