Della M. Parker, 49, of Parkersburg passed
away Nov. 3, 2007, in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of the
late Harold and Mabel Rissie Parker.
Dell was of the Pentecostal faith and is
survived by brothers, Joseph and Donald
Parker; and a sister, Violet Teters.
She was preceded in death by an infant
brother, Danny; and sisters, Juanita, Imojean,
Caroline and Trish.
There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m.
today at Kimes Funeral Home, Fifth Street,
Parkersburg, with the Rev. Walter Dale Minney
officiating.
Lorraine J Richards
Parkersburg, WV
Lorraine J. Richards, 85, of Lakeview Estates,
passed away Oct. 25, 2007, at the Willows
Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 23, 1921, in Buffalo, N.Y.,
a daughter of the late George and Caroline
Seidel Madden.
Lorraine was of the Catholic faith and had
worked at Roswell Park as a switchboard
operator.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
James Herbert Richards in February 2007.
The family would like to express thanks to the
Willows Nursing Home for the excellent care
that was given to Lorraine during her stay
there.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
donor’s favorite charity.
There will be no funeral service. However,
there will be a visitation from 11 a.m. to 1
p.m. Saturday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
St., Parkersburg. Burial will follow in the
Evergreen South Cemetery.
Marshall Morris Wren
New Haven, WV
Marshall Morris Wren, 76, of New Haven, W.Va.,
passed away Oct. 23, 2007, at Camden-Clark
Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.
He was born Oct. 22, 1931, at Holden, W.Va., a
son of the late Albert and Rosalee Fitzpatrick.
Mr. Wren was of the Episcopal faith, was
retired from Century Aluminum near Ravenswood,
had served in the U.S. Army and he enjoyed
ballroom dancing and flying airplanes as a
hobby.
Surviving is his daughter, Michelle Denise
Wren of Washington, D.C.; a granddaughter,
Charlotte Hannah Asuncion Barrera-Wren of
Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Donald and
Dixon Lee Wren; and three sisters, Shirley
Stewart, Frances Porter and Sue Miller.
He was preceded in death by a son, Glen Edward
Wren; and two brothers, Russell (George) and
Roy Wren.
There will be no visitation, viewing or
services.
Cremation services are being provided by Kimes
Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 521 Fifth
St., Parkersburg.
Joshua Amos (Boi) Hostottle
Waverly, WV
Joshua Amos (Boi) Hostottle, 28, of Waverly,
W.Va., passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at
the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
He was awaiting a liver transplant because of
a lifelong liver disease.
Joshua was the son of Cathy and Richard Deem
of Eaton, Ohio. He was a 1997 graduate of
Williamstown High School and had worked at
Outback Steak House in Parkersburg and later
with Texas Roadhouse in Richmond, Ind., as a
trainer for new store openings.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by
his grandparents, Bud and Ilene Hostottle of
Waverly; aunts and uncles, Carolyn and Ken
Spencer of Palestine, W.Va., and Jim and
Cheryl Hostottle of Waverly; cousins, Nathan
Spencer and girlfriend, Mandy Hrebik, of
Columbus, Ohio, and Ian Hostottle of Waverly;
his stepfamily, grandparents, Ray and Ann Deem
of Huber Heights, Ohio; sisters, Jessica Deem
of Eaton, Ohio, and Ashley Deem of
Elizabethtown, Ky.; brother, Rick Deem of
Bowling Green, Ky.; nephew, Jacorey Shumake of
Eaton; and niece, Brianna Blount of
Elizabethtown.
Preceding him in death was a cousin, Coley
Spencer; and his beloved dog, Taz.
The funeral service for Joshua will be 1 p.m.
Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with the Rev. Brady Stephens
officiating. Burial will follow at the Corbin
Cemetery on Bull Run Road near Waverly. The
visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home.
Violet M. Fleming
Parkersburg, WV
Violet M. Fleming, 70, of Parkersburg, passed
away Oct. 16, 2007, at her home.
She was born Feb. 18, 1937, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Alfred Louiseau and Pluma
Nesselroad Parsons.
Violet was a member of the Jehovah Witness
Kingdom Hall on College Parkway.
Surviving is her son, Darrell K. Shirley Jr.
of Parkersburg; two daughters, Lisa Dawn
Shirley of Culpeper, Va., and Vicki Lynn
Deaton of Fairmont; three grandchildren,
Sharon Judy of Florida, Cassie Deaton of
Fairmont and Matthew Deaton, serving with the
Armed Forces; three great-grandchildren,
Brittany and Emily Judy and Brayden Patterson;
and a sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a son, Douglas Shirley; a great-
granddaughter, Taylor Paige Patterson; and a
sister.
At Violet’s request, there will be no service
or viewing.
Kimes Funeral Home and Cremation Services is
assisting the family.
David Cline Gribble
Parkersburg, WV
David Cline Gribble, 52, of Parkersburg passed
away Oct. 14, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was born Aug. 14, 1955, in Parkersburg, a
son of the late Cline Howard and Dorothy
Juanita Ruble Gribble. David was a graduate of
Wirt County High School and was a affiliated
with the 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church.
Surviving is his wife, Kimberly Smith Gribble;
a daughter, Rebecca; grandchildren, Logan and
Andrew; one brother, Richard Gribble of
Belpre; a sister, Linda Mulcahy of Vienna; and
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by brothers, Duane and Gary Ray Gribble;
and his grandparents.
There will be a memorial service held at the
convenience of the family. There will be no
viewing. The burial of his ashes will be at
the Foutty Cemetery at Newark.
