Anna Bell Kirkpatrick
Parkersburg, WV
Anna Bell Kirkpatrick, 84, of Parkersburg,
passed away June 28, 2007 at Camden Clark
Memorial Hospital.
She was born October 3, 1922 in Fayette
County, WV, a daughtrer of the late John and
Jennie Maston Peaytt.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a long time active member
of the Salvation Army of Parkersburg since
1942, having served as Sunday School teacher
for 27 years and was on the Home League of
memory, the Corps Council, Senior Songster,
and was Cradle Roll Sergeant.
Surviving are two sons, E. Lloyd Kirkpatrick
Jr. and his wife, Judy, of parkersburg, and
Adrian paul Kirkpatrick and his wife Sue, of
Jackson, TN, one Daughter, Martha "Marie"
Modesitt of Parkersburg; 10 grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. She was the last
surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Emory Lloyd Kirkpatrick Sr., their son Gerald
Andrew Kirkpatrick, and two brothers, Dink
Edward Peaytt and Clifford Peaytt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM
Monday at the Salvation Army Chapel, 5th St
Parkersburg, with Major Brian Gilliam
officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen
South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-6
PM Sunday at Kimes Fuenral Home, 521 5th St.
Parkersburg, and from noon until service time
Monday at the Salvation Army Chapel.
Sarah Faye Shingleton
Mineral Wells, WV
Sarah Faye Shingleton, 16, of Mineral Wells,
passed away June 28, 2007, at St. Joseph's
Hospital following an extended battle with
cancer.
She was born January 31, 1991 in Marietta,
Ohio, daughter of Guy W. Shingleton and Brenda
Wilson Shingleton, of Mineral Wells.
Sarah was a member of Saint Margaret Mary
Catholic Church and was a studdent at
Parkersburg Catholic High School where she was
a member of the volleyball team and the Quiz
team, she had been a volunteer with the
American red Cross.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by
her sister, Samantha Nicole Shingleton of the
home, her paternal grandfather Guy William
Shingleton Sr., of St. Marys, and her Maternal
Grandmother, E. Faye Wilson of Lebenon, Tn.
and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Paternal
Grandmother, Virginia Elizabeth Shingleton,
and her Maternal Grandfather, Coy Washington
Wilson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at
10:00 AM Saturday at St. Margaret Mary
Catholic Church on Dudley Avenue with Father
Joseph Peterson as celebrant. Burial will
follow at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery at Mineral Wells. Visitation will be at Kimes
Funeral Home from 1-3 & 6-9 PM Friday.
There will be a protestant memorial service
held at the funeral home Friday at 8:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
Childrens Miracle Network, the Ronald McDonald
House, or the Make A Wish foundation.
There will be a luncheon held after services
for family and friends at the Holiday Inn at
Route 50 and I-77.
Paul David Parrish
Little Hocking, Ohio
Paul David "Dave" Parrish, 66, of Little
Hocking, Ohio, passed away June 14, 2007, at
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 17, 1940, at Lubeck, a son of
the late Paul R. and Mary E. Wells Parrish. He
was a 1958 graduate of Piketon, Ohio, High
School. He retired from DuPont, was a former
employee of Goodyear Atomic Energy Corp. of
Piketon, Ohio, and was a millwright. He also
owned and operated his own company, The DP
Maintenance Service.
Dave enjoyed gardening and traveling and was
an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and The
West Virginia Mountaineers and also a fan of
the Columbus Clippers baseball team, of which
he was a member of the Boosters Club and
enjoyed spending time with his family and
friends.
Surviving are two sons, Bryan D. Parrish of
Belpre and Barry A. Parrish of Parkersburg;
two daughters, Laura Parrish, with whom he
resided in Little Hocking, and Leigh Stubbs
and husband, John, of Waverly, Ohio; five
grandchildren, Jennifer Parrish and Corey
Parrish, both of Little Hocking, Brody Parrish
of Belpre, Shaylee Parrish of Parkersburg and
Kristin Stubbs of Waverly, Ohio; one great-
grandson, Isaiah Thomas of Little Hocking; two
brothers, John R. Parrish and his wife,
Linnie, of Louisville, Ky., and Ed Parrish of
Covington, Va.; a sister, Paula Parrish of
Columbus, Ohio; and four nephews, John Parrish
of Canton, Texas, Richard Parrish of
Louisville, Ky., Craig Parrish of Evans, Ga.,
and Ryan Parrish of Oakridge, Tenn.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor Bernard "Dobby"
Thrash officiating. Burial will follow at
Fairview Memorial Gardens, Route 339 out of
Belpre. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.

Everett C. Woodyard
Parkersburg, WV
Everett C. Woodyard, 80, of Parkersburg passed
away June 13, 2007, at his home.
He was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Wood County, a
son of the late George Earl and Clara Lockhart
Woodyard.
Everett was a member of the Antioch Baptist
Church. He had owned and operated Woodyard’s
Motor Freight Co. in Parkersburg for many
years. He was a member of the Local 132
Operating Engineers and the Mt. Olivet Masonic
Lodge 3. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II, having been stationed in the
Philippines.
Surviving is his wife, Edythe Sovel Woodyard;
two daughters, Connie Abbott and her husband,
Ronald, of Washington, W.Va., and Elaine
Fullerton and her husband, Kenneth, of Belpre;
five grandchildren, Brian Kelbaugh and wife,
Melodie, Gary Kelbaugh, Eric Fullerton and
wife, Michelle, Tessa Yeater and her husband,
Bob, and Shannon Fullerton; eight great-
grandchildren, Hannah, Allysa, Allison,
Madison, Logan, Eli, Ashton and Lucas; two
sisters, Edna Belle Kemmner of Parkersburg and
Lucille Garrison of Waverly; and several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by three brothers, Dale Woodyard, Okey
Eugene Woodyard and Robert Woodyard; a sister,
Virginia Dunn; and his son-in-law, Thurman
Kelbaugh.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with his son-in-law, Pastor Ken
Fullerton officiating. Burial with Masonic
graveside rites will follow at Antioch Baptist
Church Cemetery near Palestine in Wirt County.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today
at the funeral home.
