Paul Howard Watson
Parkersburg, WV

Paul Howard Watson, 73, of Parkersburg, went
home to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan.
22, 2011, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born April 23, 1937, at Clarksburg,
W.Va., a son of the late Joseph Robert and
Ruth Bumgardner Watson.

Paul retired from DuPont with 30 years of
service as a cost accountant, had been a Dale
Carnegie assistant instructor and also taught
a night class at Parkersburg Community
College. He had attained a bachelor's degree
from WVU, a master's degree in business
administration from Ohio University and held a
certificate in management accounting. He was
active with Troops 116 and 16 of the Boy
Scouts of America in Parkersburg and received
a 30-year pin and the Order of the Arrow award.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church where
he was a longtime Sunday school teacher, was a
member of the Mens Prayer Breakfast, Christ
Renews His Parish, and the Stephens Ministry.
He was also a church counselor at Zion
Lutheran Church in Wilmington, Del. Paul also
coached Little League baseball and football at
Tri-C.

Surviving is his loving wife and best friend,
Wanda Jean (Rice) Watson; three sons, Steven
Howard (Dana) Watson of Townsend, Del.,
Matthew Wayne Watson of Clayton, Del., and
Joseph Alva Watson (Sandra) of Alpharetta,
Ga.; one daughter, Mary Ruth Spencer (Scott)
of Elkton Md.; four sisters, Shirley Robinson
(Charlie) of Enon, Ohio, Karen Thomas (Leon)
of Washington, W.Va., Rebecca Eaton of Little
Hocking, Ohio, and Deborah Shields of
Davisville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Amanda
Dehorty (George), Sean Spencer, Emily Spencer,
Evan Spencer, Kyle Spencer, Olivia Watson,
Harrison Watson and Kelly Watson;
stepgrandchildren, Richard Pacetti, Danee
Sutton and Gaetan Amatrudo; and two great-
stepgrandchildren, Kiana Haman and Natalie
Dehorty.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at
First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ian Reid
officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset
Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
Fifth St., Parkersburg, and one hour prior to
services at the church.

Memorial contributions can be forwarded to
First Lutheran Church or the American Cancer
Society in memory of Paul Howard Watson.

Corrine Patterson
Parkersburg, WV

Corrine Patterson, 84, of Parkersburg, passed
away Jan. 22, 2011, at Wyngate.

She was born March 4, 1925, in Jackson County,
W.Va., a daughter of the late Albert M. and
Emma Thompson Bower.

Corrine was a member of North End Church of
Christ, and retired from the city of
Middletown, Ohio, as a customer relation
specialist in 1985 after 27 years of service.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her
husband, Fred Patterson in 2007; three
brothers, Harvey, Lester and Glen Bower; and
three sisters, Blanche Corns, Ruth M. Morrison
and Opal Wine.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Evangelist Steven Haguewood
officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg
Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 1-2
p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

I. Louise Graham
West Bradenton, FL

I. Louise Graham, 81, of West Bradenton, Fla.,
formerly of Parkersburg, passed away at home
Jan. 15, 2011.

She was born Jan. 5, 1930 in Miami, Fla., a
daughter of the late Frank and
Carolyn "Carrie" Kepler Whitehead. Louise was
a Baptist by faith, a homemaker, was Past
Worthy High Priestess of the Eastern Star in
Parkersburg and was a member of the Elks, VFW,
and American Legion of Bradenton, Fla. She
enjoyed life, traveling, sightseeing, dressing
for social occasions, golf and spending time
with family and friends.

She is survived by one son, Thomas E. Graham
II (Sherrie) of Wilmington, N.C.; one
daughter, Sheila White (Randy) of Mineral
Wells, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Amy Merklin
(Mark) of Charleston, S.C., Scott Daggett
(Tiffany) of Daytona, Fla., Melinda Taylor
(Dave) of Wilmington, Chad Graham of Mineral
Wells, Michelle Daggett of Orick, Calif., and
Angie Brode (Chris) of Mineral Wells; six
great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Maile, Aliya,
Tyson, Jonathan and Joey; and several nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by the
love of her life, Thomas Earl Graham; one son,
Ronald E. Graham; four brothers, Carl, Robert,
Leo and George Whitehead; and two sisters,
Garnett Gibson and Dorothea Williamson.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday
at the Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street,
with Pastor Rick DeQuasie officiating. Burial
will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends
may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home.

Clarence (Junior) West
Parkersburg, WV

Clarence "Junior" West, of Parkersburg, passed
away Jan. 14, 2011, at Camden-Clark Memorial
Hospital.

He was born Sept. 21, 1942, at Belleville,
W.Va., a son of the late Clarence Clinton and
Elma Miller West.

His most recent employment was with Wood
County Schools. In past years, he worked for
A.B. Chance, Abraxus and worked in sales for
several local sporting good stores. He was an
avid hunter and fisherman, and loved the
outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his loving wife, Norma Dillon West;
his youngest son, Michael West; and his
brother, Harold "Pete" West.

He is survived by his eldest son, Clarence
G. "Bud" West (Lisa); one daughter, Sonya West
Crigger (Todd); five sisters, Sissy Stalnaker,
Diane Milhoan, Polly Tanner, Irene Butcher and
Connie Backus; three brothers, John and
Darrell West and Gary Blessing;
granddaughters, Mattie West Apperson, Kecia
West Kitsen, Amber Crigger Rivera, Britani
Monroe Robison and Lindsey West; grandsons,
Scotter Myers and Eric Crigger; several great-
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with the Rev. Jim Eakle
officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson
Cemetery, Belleville. Visitation will be held
6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Juanita F Parsons Perry Kimes
Parkersburg, WV

Juanita F. Parsons Perry Kimes, 84, of
Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 14, 2011, at
Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following a
brief illness. She suffered complications
after undergoing an operation for recently
diagnosed pancreatic cancer.

She was born Dec. 10, 1926, at Beaver Falls,
Pa., a daughter of the late Hyott H. Parsons
and Aleta V. Hall Parsons.

Juanita was a 1944 graduate of Racine, Ohio,
High School. She was a longtime member of
Trinity United Methodist Church where she was
a member of the United Methodist Women, the
Goodwill Sunday school class and the Helping
Hands Committee. She enjoyed bowling, having
participated in the past with the Rendor
Leagues, walking, cooking, traveling, birds,
nature and spending winter months at their
home in Deland, Fla.

Surviving is her husband of 36 years,
Parkersburg funeral director Glen E. Kimes;
one son, Steve (Linda) Perry of Washington,
W.Va.; four daughters, Carolyn (Bob) Bernosky
of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Marty (Fred) Hamilton
of Washington, Pam Perry of Parkersburg and
Sandy (Garry) Murray of Parkersburg; three
stepsons, Larry G. (Peggy) Kimes of
Parkersburg, Steven H. (Debby) Kimes of
Parkersburg and David A. Kimes of Parkersburg;
one stepdaughter, Janet L. Kimes of
Parkersburg; grandchildren, Andy Hartleben
(Lene'e Fulks), Kerri Hartleben Holcomb
(Josh), Christie Earley (Chris), Tyler Murray,
Zach Murray, John Murray, Josh Murray, D.
Bradley Kimes (Kristy), Robert C. Kimes (Randi
Lea), Jenifer Nelson (Brian Ault), Angela
Mohwish (Tony), Amy Newbanks (Phillip) and
April Kimes; great-grandchildren, Jacob
Holcomb, Matthew and Nicholas Early, Bethany
and Lexie Early, Kayla Kimes, Cass Kimes, Katy
Nelson, Sara Nelson, Rachael Ault, Emily
Newbanks, Logan Newbanks and Brayden Kimes;
one sister, Naomi R. Coffman of Clinton, Ohio;
and nieces and nephews, Sandi Marshall, Alvin
Perry, Henry Perry, Rodger Parsons, Mark
Coffman, Tom Coffman and Brian Coffman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her first husband, Darrell Lee
Perry; and her brother, Harold L. Parsons.

The funeral service for Mrs. Kimes will be
conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity
United Methodist Church at Tenth Avenue and
Thomas Street in south Parkersburg. The Rev.
Dave Stilgenbauer will officiate and burial
will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. The
visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
Fifth St., Parkersburg. She will lie in state
at the church from 10 a.m. until service time
Wednesday.
