Randall Lee Eden
Parkersburg, WV

Randall Lee Eden, 53, of Parkersburg, went home
to be with his Lord July 20, 2011, at Camden
Clark Medical Center-St. Joseph's Campus, with
his mother by his side.

He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist
Church and loved to attend church services.

Randy was a long-time employee of the Sheltered
Workshop on Mary Street. He was well liked by
everyone and everyone was his friend. He was
also a former member of the Blennerhassett
Civitan Club.

He was the son of the late Earl Eden and his
mother, Mary Coss Mowery of Parkersburg.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by
his daughter, Sylvia Lynn Eden at home; his
brother, Larry Eden of the home; his dear
friends Mark and Stacey Kasun of Vincent, Ohio,
and his grandson, Brody Eden Kasun who was the
light of his life. Also surviving are numerous
aunts, uncles and cousins.

In additiion to his father, he was preceded in
death by grandparents.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street, Pastor
Lloyd Winans will officiate and burial will
follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. The
visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8
p.m.

Rose Sophia (Martini) Mancini
Parkersburg, WV

Rose Sophia (Martini) Mancini, 97, of
Parkersburg and a resident of Eagle Pointe for
the past two and a half years, passed away
July 18, 2011, at Camden Clark Medical Center-
Memorial Campus.

She was born April 15, 1914 at Benwood, W.Va.,
a daughter of the late Francisco Martini and
Philomina (Vani) Martini.

Rose was a member of St. Margaret Mary
Catholic Church where she was a member of the
Sanctuary Society.

Surviving is her husband of 70 years, Fred
Mancini; one son, Richard "Sam" Mancini of
Parkersburg; two grandchildren, Anthony
Mancini of Huntington and Caci Mancini of
Fairmont.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by four brothers, John, Anthony,
Henry and Elmer Mancini, and a sister, Mary
Puzzuoli.

There will be a graveside service held 2 p.m.
Saturday at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Father
Andy Switzer will officiate and burial will
follow.

There will be no visitation.

Kimes Funeral Home of Parkersburg is assisting
the family with the arrangements.

Kenneth C Jones
Parkersburg, WV

Kenneth C. Jones, 51, of Parkersburg, after an
extended illness, unexpectedly went home to be
with the Lord on July 16, 2011, at his home.

Kenny was born Dec. 3, 1959, in Parkersburg,
son of the late Darrell Dwight Jones Sr. and
Mary V. (Dowler) Jones.

Kenny loved his family and friends very much
and was a true sports enthusiast, an avid fan
of WVU, PSHS, Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and
NASCAR. He also especially enjoyed fishing and
the outdoors. Spending time with his grandson
was the highlight of his life.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a
skilled and licensed contractor and was also
licensed in asbestos removal, prior to
becoming disabled. He attended Seventh-Day
Adventist Church on Park Avenue and was a true
Christian through his faith.

He is survived by his siblings, Kathy Stevens
of Anderson, Ind., and Karen Bradley, Dwight
Jones (Vickie) and Leon Jones, all of
Parkersburg. Also surviving are two daughters,
Angela Jones and Christina Jones and grandson,
Tristin Jones, all of Parkersburg; and several
aunts, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by a brother, Robert L. Jones; paternal
grandparents, Coral (Kittle) and Clarence P.
Jones of Parkersburg; maternal grandparents,
Andrew and Chloe (Ruble) Dowler; brother-in-
law, William (Ed) Bradley; uncle, Carroll D.
Jones; and special nephew, Dana D. Jones.

A memorial service is planned at 3:30 p.m.
Saturday at Seventh-Day Adventist Church on
Park Avenue.

C. Lucille Robinson
Vienna, WV

C. Lucille Robinson, 77, of Vienna, passed
away July 12, 2011 at Camden Clark Medical
Center, Memorial Campus.

She was born Oct. 13, 1933 at Cloverlick,
W.Va., daughter of the late Kenny and Leona
Burner Meeks.

Lucille was a homemaker, a Protestant by faith
and enjoyed flowers and the pride and joy of
her life, her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years,
Ralph L. Robinson; two daughters, Kim Stephens
(Greg) of Vienna and Donna Goff (Randy) of
Washington; one son, Kenny Robinson (Lynn) of
Waverly; ten grandchildren; twenty great-
grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and
a special companion, Sassy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by two sons, Robert Phares and Mike
Robinson; three brothers, Melvin Shinaberry
and Henry Shinaberry, both of Durbin, and
Edward Meeks of Columbus; and one sister,
Grace Toarmino.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street,
Parkersburg with Pastors Neil Parsons and
Brady Stephens officiating. Burial will follow
at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will
receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday
and one hour prior to services Saturday at the
funeral home.

Lantz Arthur
Parkersburg, WV

Mr. Lantz Arthur, 86, of Parkersburg, departed
this earthly life on July 11, 2011 at his home.

He was born Dec. 11, 1924 in Huntington,
W.Va., son of the late Clay Elmer Arthur and
Beatrice Lantz Arthur Bambrick. After living
in Huntington until he was in the second
grade, he moved to the coal mining area of
Winding Goff in Raleigh County near Beckley
until the age of fourteen.

Lantz was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II
and also was a Merchant Marine. While serving
his country, he traveled to many countries,
including France, Austria, Germany, England,
Algeria, Morocco (Casablanca) and Italy
(Naples). He also traveled to Gibraltar and
many other places and was a witness to an
eruption of the Volcano Vesuvius in 1944.

After returning from the service, he, with the
match making assistance of family friends, Red
and Willow Sprouse, married his wife, Myrtle
Alice Cross, on Feb. 14, 1949. He felt that
his life was truly being fulfilled with
getting married and starting his family. Mrs.
Arthur passed away in 1983.

He was first and foremost a Christian, being a
member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church, where
he had once served as a deacon and worked with
AWANAS (teaching children Bible Scriptures).

Mr. Arthur retired from Union Carbide with
over thirty years of service. He was an avid
reader and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and
nature. He was truly a gracious and
appreciative man who always thought of others
first and how he could be of help to them and
was never one to complain.

Surviving are four sons, Roger Daniel Arthur
and his companion, Max Rule of San Diego,
Calif., Steven David Arthur of San Jose,
Calif., Michael Douglas Arthur of Parkersburg
and Mark Lantz (Lori) Arthur of Deerwalk; two
daughters, Karen Patricia (Philip Mark)
Johnston and Kathy Joanne (Richard Blaine)
Jarvis, both of Parkersburg; two
grandchildren, Christine Marie Hook and her
fiance, Jamie Lattea, and Heather Renne
Jarvis; step-granddaughter, Nelisha; two great-
grandchildren, Braydon Nathaniel Hook and
Kaylee Paige Lattea; one step-great-
grandchild; brothers, Ralph Arthur of
Huntington and his children, Kimberly and
Jackie, Dana Arthur of Parkersburg and his
son, Matthew, Ron (Melissa) Arthur of
Proctorville, Ohio and his children, David,
Madoline and Jonathan and Don Arthur of
Proctorville and his children, Breanna and
Emanuel; one step-sister, Betty Lou Bambrick;
brothers-in-law, William "Bill" Cross of
Parkersburg and Samuel Cross of Murraysville;
sisters-in-law, Marie Flint and Zelma Logston,
both of Parkersburg; a close cousin who was
like a sister to him, Hettie White; other
close cousins, Laura Flowers and John Flowers;
many other nieces, nephews, cousins and their
families; special friends, Cathleen Beeson,
Gene Jeffers and Marvin Flowers; and his
church family.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was
preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Paul
Cross, Donnie Cross, Robert Cross and Jim
Cross; sisters-in-law, Hazel Lyons and Donna
DeFratis; and special cousin, Dorothy Lee.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street,
Parkersburg with Pastor Chuck Ferrell
officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg
Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4
and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to
the service Friday.
