Dorothy E. Dunbar, 86, of Parkersburg, passed
away March 26, 2012, at the Parkersburg Care
and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 31, 1925 in Parkersburg, the
daughter of the late Ray and Lillian Morehead
Cheuvront. Dorothy was a graduate of Wirt
County High School where she played in the
school band. She was a member of the Lubeck
Church of Christ and had worked at the U.S.
Bureau of Public Debt as a Supervisor.
Surviving is her son, Gary David (Shirley)
Dunbar of Lubeck, and her daughter, Susan C.
(Phillip) Kaufman of Crestview, Fla.; four
grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Dunbar, Richard
Dunbar, Megan (Neal) Boling and Ryan (Jamie)
Kaufman; 11 great-grandchildren, Natasha,
Cody, Madison, Hailey, Zachary, Tori, Drew,
Chase, and Riley Dunbar, Emma Sue and Eli
Boling. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Foster O.
Dunbar, in 1985, and two brothers, Clair and
Harold Cheuvront.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.
Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St.,
Parkersburg, Evangelist Steve Fuchs will
officiate and burial will follow at the Two
Run Baptist Church Cemetery in Wirt County.
The visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4
p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and an hour prior to the
service on Friday.
The family would like to express their sincere
thanks and appreciation to the staff of the
Parkersburg Care and Rehabilitation Center for
the love, care, and concern shown to Dorothy
during her time there.

Marietta, OH
Rev. Quinvy Clyde Bush, 91, passed away March
24, 2012 in Marietta, Ohio.
There will be no visitation or services. Kimes
Funeral Home and Cremation Services is
assisting the family.
Hazel Pauline Moore
Waverly, WV
Hazel Pauline Moore, 84, of Waverly, passed
away March 15, 2012, at Care Haven of Pleasants
County surrounded by family.
She was born Jan. 8, 1928 in Waverly, the
daughter of the late Ralph Emery and Anna Ruth
McAtee Stephens. She had attended Williamstown
High School and was a long time member of the
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
A quiet lady Pauline's greatest love was her
family and her faith. While raising her
children, Pauline worked at different jobs from
house cleaning to dry cleaning to school bus
driving. She was employed by the Wood County
Board of Education from 1957 until her
retirement in 1989.
Surviving are two sons, Loyd (Janie) Moore and
Lyle (Debbie) Moore and one daughter, Linda
(Bernard) Mullenix, all of Williamstown; five
grandchildren, Scott (Keri) Moore, Steve
(Laurice) Moore, Stephanie (Edward) Stengel,
Kevin (Bri) Moore and LeeAnn Moore and an
American Foreign Exchange student
granddaughter, Michi Kayama; 12 great-
grandchildren, Lex, Ty, Laci, Jack, Emma,
Ellie, Kaylee, Jarrett, Landen, Ian, Mekalea
and Naveah; one brother, Charles D. "Charlie"
(Joan) Stephens of Waverly. Also surviving are
many friends and the staff of Care Haven where
she has been a resident for the past few years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband of 43 years, Thomas
Clayton Moore who passed away on Nov. 4, 1989.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday,
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street,
Parkersburg. Rev. Elizabeth Campbell will
officiate and burial will follow at the Bethel
Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
There will be no niewing on Sunday.
Following the burial there will be a meal and
time of fellowship for family and friends at
the Williamstown Women's Club
Melvin "Gene" Tanner
Parkersburg, WV
Melvin "Gene" Tanner, 81, of Parkersburg,
passed away March 12, 2012, at his home with
his family at his side.
He was born Aug. 31, 1930 in Wood County, a
son of the late Ernest and Ruth Wilson Tanner.
Gene was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War
and worked for Badger Lumber Company for 43
years until his retirement in 1995. He was a
member of the Waverly Church of Christ.
Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years,
Janet Rhodes Tanner; one son, Michael E.
Tanner of Parkersburg; two granddaughters,
Andrea M. Tanner of Morgantown, W.Va., and
Danielle R. Tanner of Parkersburg; one
grandson, James M. Tanner of Parkersburg; two
brothers, Donald Tanner of Vienna and Virgil
Tanner of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters,
Beulah Tanner Lane of Williamstown and Ruth
Tanner in Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by a brother, Ernest J. Tanner and two
sisters, Nora Tanner McVay and Faye
TannerDavis.
The funeral service will be held 1 p.m.
Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
Street, Parkersburg. Evangelist Bob Long will
officiate and burial will follow at the Middle
Ridge Cemetery with military rites conducted
by the Parkersburg Post # 15 of the American
Legion.
The visitation will be from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m.

Charles Carl Duffield
Parkersburg, WV
Charles Carl Duffield, 89, of Parkersburg,
passed away March 10, 2012, at the Arbors of
Marietta following an extended illness.
He was born June 25, 1922, in Braxton County,
a son of the late Ernest Duffield and Audra
Dell Hudkins Duffield Cooper.
Charles was a longtime member of St. Paul's
United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of
Marietta College with a BSC Degree in
Chemistry. He retired from Shell Chemical of
Belpre and was a former employee of Surety
Rubber Company at Carrollton, Ohio, and Union
Carbide Corp. of Marietta. Charles had served
in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II
in the South Pacific with the 13 Air Force
Division (May 1942-Sept. 1945). He was a
member of the American Chemical Society, The
American Standards for Testing Materials, The
Ohio Manufacturers Association, Environmental
Committee and the Ohio Petroleum Council
Environmental Committee.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Logan Duffield
of Parkersburg and Roger Scott (Jennie)
Duffield of Parkersburg; a daughter, Rebecca
Sue Duffield (Eugene) Law of Parkersburg; five
grandchildren, TSGT Jason L. Duffield, USAF,
Jeremie R. Duffield, Alisha K. (Chris) Nix and
Janell L. Hinton, and Mandy Duffield; two
great-grandchildren, Carleigh J. Walters and
Sydni P. Hinton; and one sister, Edna Fay
Duffield Summers of Parkersburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Logan
Duffield on Sept. 9, 2001.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with the Rev. Brent Sturm
officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg

Donald Clyde (Don) Nesselrotte
Parkersburg, WV
Donald Clyde "Don" Nesselrotte, 57, of
Parkersburg, passed away March 6, 2012, at his
home.
He was born April 25, 1954 in Parkersburg, a
son of the late Floyd Wesley and Beulah
Pauline Carpenter Nesselrotte.
Surviving is a son, Donald Wesley Nesselrotte
of Parkersburg; two daughters, Melissa
Nesselrotte of Parkersburg and Kathy Spencer
of Letart, W.Va.; two step sons, Cliff
Blackwell of Rockport and Gary Blackwell of
Parkersburg; 15 grandchildren; one brother,
Paul Eugene Nesselrotte of Straightsville,
Ohio; two sisters, Kathy White of Belpre and
Lou Edwards of Winfield, W.Va.; and several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Connie Mae Wood Nesselrotte.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m.
Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg. Pastor John Barker will officiate
and burial will follow at Evergreen North
