Edna Louise Graham Johnson, 83, of Mineral
Wells, passed away Feb. 17, 2012, at the
Willows, where she had been a resident for the
past two-and-a-half years.
She was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Wood County, a
daughter of the late Thomas Patrick and Edna
Grace Cooper Graham.
Louise was a member of Big Tygart Baptist
Church, was a homemaker, and member of
Salaisbury Homemakers Club. She enjoyed doing
embroidery and reading her Bible.
Surviving is her son, Daniel A. Johnson of
Parkersburg; two daughters, Sharon (Carl)
Walker of Parkersburg and Judy (Bud) Williams
of Mineral Wells; six grandchildren, Donald
(Lesa) Mercer, Scott (Beth) Mercer,
Christopher (Melissa) Weekley, Patrick (Wendy)
Dinnin, Aaron Dinnin and Amanda (Gary)
Vierling; 14 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Daniel E. (Kathy) Graham of
Parkersburg and Larry L. (Janice) Graham of
Bloomington, Ind.; and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Paul Edwin Johnson;
brother, Thomas Earl Graham; and two sisters,
Ruth Utt and Dorothy Geisel.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at
Big Tygart Baptist Church with the Rev. Rufus
Hoalcraft and the Rev. William Thomas
officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset
Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8
p.m. today at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
St., Parkersburg, and one hour prior to
services at the church.
Irene Coe Johnson
Parkersburg, WV
Irene Coe Johnson, 94, of Parkersburg, passed
away Feb. 16, 2012, at Eagle Pointe Nursing
Facility.
She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Wood County, a
daughter of the late William and Dixie Counts
Coe.
Irene retired from Sears Department Store with
28 years of service and was a World War II
veteran having been a member of the Womans
Army Corps and she was an avid Dallas Cowboys
football fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie (Bill)
Woolard of Parkersburg and Dixie (David)
Hendricks of Holland, Ohio; stepson, Wayne
(Louise) Johnson of Starlake, N.Y.; seven
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild; two brothers,
Harry (Twila) Coe of Belpre and Walt (Delores)
Coe of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters,
Lillian Lemon of Williamstown and Kay Tolley
of Chesapeake, Va.; and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, John Johnson; three
brothers, Gerald, Counts and Willard Coe; and
two sisters, Polly Bradley and Lenora Hanson.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor Brian Harrell
officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen
North Cemetery with military services
conducted by American Legion Post 15. The
family will receive friends beginning 11 a.m.
Monday at the funeral home.
Phyllis Pauline Dailey
Parkersburg, WV
Phyllis Pauline Dailey, 83, of Parkersburg,
passed away Feb. 12, 2012 at Camden Clark
Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born July 3, 1928 in Pennsboro, a daughter of the
late Louie T. and Hanna Caroline (Lina)
Williamson Freeland.
Phyllis was a graduate of Pennsboro High School
having been the first student to take the
Drivers Ed class there. She was also the very
first person ever hired at the first
Parkersburg McDonald's in the traffic circle.
She was truly a "Prayer Warrior, " was once an
Evangelist and was a longtime member of the
19th Street Church of God. She was always
caring for others in many ways and was a
homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Walter
Eugene "Gene" Dailey; one daughter, Carolyn
(Keith) McCloy of Parkersburg, and one son,
Walter "Eugene" Dailey, II of Parkersburg.
Eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Stacy), Justin
(Nikki), Jerod (Sarah) and Jansen McCloy,
Derek, Teontia and Deion Dailey and R.J.
(Berlin) Clegg.
Eight great grandchildren, Connor, Riley,
Olivia, Kolten and Isabella McCloy, Sidney
Clegg, Alaiah James and Christian Ovalle.
One sister, Marilyn Wilson of Parkersburg. Two
sisters-in-law, Joan Freeland of Parkersburg
and Goldie Freeland in Maryland and many nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by three brothers, Robert M. "Bob"
Freeland, Elmer G. Freeland and Gerald "Jerry"
Freeland.
The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday at 19th Street Church of God. Pastor
Randell Fuson will officiate and burial will
follow at Evergreen North Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6
to 8 p.m. today at Kimes Funeral Homes, 521
Fifth St., Parkersburg, and one hour prior to
the service at the church on Wednesday.

Benjamin Russell Davis
Vienna, WV
Benjamin Russell Davis Jr., 74, of Vienna,
passed away Feb.10, 2012, at the Louis A.
Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg.
He was born Jan. 31, 1938 in Parkersburg, a
son of the late Benjamin Sr. and Audrey West
Davis.
He was employed as a truck driver for various
trucking companies, was a U.S. Army veteran, a
lifetime member of the DAV, enjoyed camping
and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy Mae Pugh Davis;
two sons, Benjamin Russell (Pat) Davis III of
Tucson, Ariz. and Joseph Davis of Columbus,
Ohio; a son-in-law, John Mark Pegg of Vienna;
one daughter, Regina Davis of Marietta; six
grandchildren, Greg and Melissa Davis of
Tucson, Miranda Lieving of Parkersburg, Aspen
Davis of Vienna, Lauren Pegg of Marietta and
Ryon Davis of St. Marys; and one great-
grandchild, Cassie; five sisters, Myrtle,
Shirley, Agatha, Kathy and Barbara Ann.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean
Rodgers.
At his request, there will be no service or
visitation.

Lethia Jane Kemper, 65, of Vienna, passed away Feb. 7, 2012.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Fox Tanner
Parkersburg, WV
Jacqueline (Jackie) Fox Tanner, 48, of
Parkersburg, left this world to be with the
angels on Feb. 5, 2012, at her residence
surrounded by her family and friends after
fighting a courageous battle against cancer.
Jackie was born Feb. 3, 1964, in Spencer,
W.Va., to the late John and Bergie Fox. She is
one of 10 children.
Jackie loved fishing with her husband and
sisters anytime she could and talked about it
often. Camping, gambling, yard sales, cross
stitching, and collecting angels were also
among her many favorite pastimes. But her most
favorite thing to do was take care of and
spend time with her family, friends, and her
children with fur (dogs). She loved her dogs,
Cloe Ann and Caylee Ann, just as much as she
did her real children. They were spoiled
rotten and never left alone; they are her
babies and they will miss her deeply.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 34
years, Terry Tanner Sr.; their two sons, Terry
Tanner Jr. and daughter-in-law Sarah and
Daniel Tanner; one daughter, Jessica (Sidney)
Tanner and her lifetime partner Brittany
Gruber; two grandchildren, Terry and Shauna
Tanner; seven sisters, Tammy (Gary) McConnell,
Tina (Tim) Tanner, Brenda Snider, Sandy
(Felton) Westberry, Judy (Roger) Barker, Donna
(Mark) Daugherty, Linda (Robert) White; one
brother, Robert (Betty) Fox; numerous nieces,
nephews, great nieces, and great nephews;
brothers-in-law, Harold Jr. (Becky) Tanner and
Teddy (Wendy) Tanner; and many friends.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents,
John and Bergie Fox; sister, Nancy Knopp; and
nephews, Robert (Dean) Conley and Robert (Rob)
Fox II.
There will be no service or visitation. Kimes
Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting
