Geneva L. "E G" Furner Lowther, 95, of
Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 25, 2012, at the
Willows Nursing Center.
She was born May 25, 1916 in Harrison County,
a daughter of the late Wade and Oda B. Nutter
Furner.
She had worked at Duff's Laundry and had been
a member of the Homecrest Senior Citizens. She
loved dogs, took in stray dogs and raised
Pomeranians. She also loved, enjoyed and
helped in raising her grandchildren and was of
the Methodist Faith.
Surviving is her daughter, Lucille Lockhart of
Parkersburg; six grandchildren, Linda (Rodney
Webb) Lockhart, Crystale (Bill) Brooks, Linden
(Gina) Lockhart, Robert (Eva) Lockhart, Sandy
(Mike Lemon) Lockhart and Terry (Sandra)
Lockhart; 12 great-grandchildren and 16 great-
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Joseph Lowther in
1974; her son-in-law, Atlas Lockhart; a
grandson, Shawn Sartor; a nephew that she
raised, Dempsey Furner and 12 brothers and
sisters.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street,
Parkersburg. Pastor Guy Lowther will officiate
and burial will follow at Evergreen North
Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Saturday from 2-4
and 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday one hour prior to
the service.
Dana Kinney Cochran
Parrish, AL, Lubeck, WV
Dana Kinney Cochran, of Parrish, Ala.,
formerly of Lubeck, passed away on Tuesday,
Jan. 24, 2012, at the age of 87.
He was born April 28, 1924, a son of the late
James Everett and Mary Kinney Cochran.
Dana was a graduate of Parkersburg High School
and retired from DuPont. He was a member of
the Sixth Avenue Church of Christ in Jasper
and was a former member of the Wadesville
Church of Christ. Dana was also a U.S. Navy
Veteran of World War II having served during
the invasion of Guam.
He is survived by his wife, Neva (Wigal)
Cochran; a daughter, Diane (William) Kosmus,
all of Parrish, Ala.; his brother, Evangelist
Benton K. (Virginia) Cochran, of Washington,
W.Va.; two grandchildren; and seven great-
grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by a sister, Virgie Cochran.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, 2
p.m., at the Collins-Burke Funeral Chapel at
Jasper, Ala., Levi Sides and Ruben McCullum
will officiate and burial will be at the
Walker Memory Gardens at Jasper.
The family will receive friends on Saturday
beginning at noon.

Warren Hannon Bowser
Belpre, OH
Warren Hannon Bowser, 90, of Belpre, Ohio,
passed away Jan. 20, 2012, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1921 in Parkersburg, a
son of the late Wilson Gay and Rebecca Miller
Bowser.
He retired from Elkem Metals Shipping and
Receiving Department and was a U.S. Army
Veteran of World War II. He was a member of
the VFW, American Legion, DAV, the Elks Club
and the 40 & 8 organization.
Surviving is his wife Betty Rhodes Bowser; one
son, Warren Gene (Michelle) Williamson of
Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Teri (Jeremy) Life
of Little Hocking, Ohio; a stepson, Steven
(Donna) Snyder of Little Hocking; four
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;
one brother, Shirley Bowser of Saline, Ohio
and a sister, Judy Flynn of Pensacola, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by brothers, Harold and Holly Bowser and
sisters, Josephine Sparling and Imogene Snyder.
There will be no service or visitation.

Davisville, WV
Pansy Martin Chandler, 57, of Davisville,
W.Va., passed away Jan. 18, 2012, at her home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1954 in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Isaac and Dorothy McCoy
Martin.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving is her fiance, James Flanagan; one
son, Steven (Sherry) Brown and one daughter,
Michele (Edward) Davis, both of Parkersburg;
eight grandchildren, Keyshell Stutler, Michael
Riggins; Gabrielle Hamilton, Michael Hamilton,
Steven Brown, Dominique Brown, Austin Brown
and Hailey Graham, and two great
grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmy (Barbara
Ann) Martin of Mineral Wells, Isaac "Billy"
Martin and Russell (Becky) Martin of
Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a sister, Sandra Welch.
There will be a memorial service at the Chapel
of Evergreen North Cemetery Monday at 2 p.m.

Reta Sue Tennant, 70, of Parkersburg, passed
away Jan. 17, 2012, at the Willows Nursing
Center.

Akron, OH
Rosalea Satterfield, 67, Akron, formerly of
Pennsboro and Parkersburg, went home be with
her Lord on Jan. 11, 2012, at Akron City
Hospital.
She was born in Ritchie County on Oct. 18,
1944, a daughter of the late Icy Goldie Jones.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Lydia Satterfield
of Parkersburg and Melanie Lutz of Akron; five
sons, Shawn Satterfield of St. Marys, Don
Vincent of Louisiana, Deal Vincent and Kevin
Vincent, both of Harrisville, and Brian
Vincent of Charleston; seven grandchildren,
Blake and Drake Nelson, Gavin and Gracie
Vincent, Shane and Sierra Vincent and Jessica
Walker; one grant granddaughter, Ava Spencer;
a brother, Billy Jones of Tollgate; three
sisters, Geraldine Jones of Pennsboro, Stella
Cottrill of Pullman and Doris Greathouse of
Harrisville; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Lennie Satterfield; two brothers, William and
Jackie Ray Jones; a sister, Loretta Barniak;
and a grandson, Ricky Spencer.
Services will be 5 p.m. today at the Kimes
Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, with
the Rev. Leonard Satterfield officiating.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. until services at 5
p.m. today.
A gathering of friends and family will be held
immediately after the services at the
Salvation Army Fellowship Room. Participants
are asked to bring a covered dish and
beverages.
