Dorothea Carol Teter, 80, of Vienna, passed
away Jan. 11, 2012, at Marietta Memorial
Hospital.
She was born April 22, 1931, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late George and Jessie Rutter
Smith.
Dorothea was a homemaker.
Surviving is her son, Bryan Teter of
Parkersburg and her daughter, April (Bruce)
Friis of Fayetteville, N.C.; grandchildren,
Jason, Bryan, Jessica and Brandy; great
grandson, Drey; and two sisters, Jan and Mary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Holley C. Teter; two
brothers, Shirl and Shawnee Smith; and a
sister, Colleen Smith.
At her request, there will be no service or
visitation.
Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services of
Parkersburg is assisting the family with
cremation.
Marvin Overton Duckworth
Belleville, WV
Marvin Overton Duckworth, 74, of Belleville,
W.Va. passed away Jan. 9, 2012, at Camden
Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
He was born in Wood County Nov. 15, 1937, a
son of the late Carl and Lucy Z. Dello
Duckworth.
Marvin was a member of the Unity Faith Chapel
Church and had retired from DuPont with over
34 years of service.
He had served in the National Guard for six
years and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving is his son, Brian (Sherri) Duckworth
of Elizabeth; one daughter, Kimberly Duckworth
of Parkersburg; his stepson, Ronald (Freda)
Hartshorn of Belleville and his stepdaughter,
Deborah Alderman of Petersburg, Va.; eight
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Ronald (Diane) Duckworth of Mineral
Wells and Channing (Dicie) Duckworth of
Fleming, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn
Duckworth of Parkersburg and Cindy Duckworth
of Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Mary Virginia Eaton
Duckworth; brothers, Dale and Leslie Duckworth
and two great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service held at
11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mt. Pleasant
Cemetery at Mineral Wells, Pastor Lloyd Keith
will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

the American Cancer Society or to a charity of
the donor's choice.
Ernest Howard Wilson
Parkersburg, WV
Ernest Howard Wilson, 89, of Parkersburg,
passed away Jan. 6, 2012, at Camden Clark
Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
He was born in Wood County, a son of the late
William Francis and Edna Ethel Hayes Wilson.
Mr. Wilson retired from Challenger Electric as
a Machine Operator. He enjoyed gardening, the
outdoors, hunting, fishing, was an artistic
man, and enjoyed drawing.
Surviving is his wife, Wilma Lemley Wilson;
five daughters, Cynthia (Garren) Rader of
Tarpon Springs, Fla., Deborah Held, Mary
(Edward) Hodgson and Kimberly (David)
McDowell, all of Parkersburg, and Jody (Jason)
King of Pomeroy, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Lori,
Ronald II, Justin, Anthony, Margaret, Troy,
Jami, Tiffany, Kaitlyn, Megan, Kristen and
Chase; several great-grandchildren; one
brother, Leroy Wilson of Louisiana; one
sister, Edna Glo (Bob) Seabolt of Wisconsin;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by an infant son, Ernest Howard Wilson
II; and eight brothers.
There will be no funeral service. There will
be visitation with viewing from 2-4 and 6-8
p.m. Monday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
St., Parkersburg.
Sylvia May Bunner
Parkersburg, WV
Sylvia May Bunner, 66, of Parkersburg, passed
away Jan. 6, 2012, at Camden Clark Medical
Center, St. Joseph's Campus.
She was born April 18, 1945, in Ritchie
County, a daughter of the late Oral and Dicie
Reed Clayton.
Sylvia was a member of Jefferson Baptist
Temple, had worked at various places including
Winans Maintenance and she loved to cook.
Surviving is her husband, Charles "Charlie"
Bunner; three sons, Loris Ray Newlon Jr.
(Jackie) of Washington, W.Va., Kenneth Newlon
(Brenda) of Mineral Wells and Richard Newlon
of Washington; one daughter, Sherry Mitchell
(Danny) of Parkersburg; stepdaughter, Angie
Bunner Wilson of Parkersburg; six
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three
sisters, Mary Louise Clayton and Betty Scott
of Parkersburg and Loreane Cutright of
Harrisville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by two brothers, Dennis and Denver
Clayton; a sister, Alice Burchard; and a great-
grandson, Jacob Dean Newlon.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg. Pastor Jerry Caplinger will
officiate and burial will follow at Evergreen
South Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m.
today.
Iva Marie (Ivy) Furner Massey
Parkersburg, WV
Iva Marie "Ivy" Furner Massey, 56, of
Parkersburg, passed away Dec. 31, 2011, at
Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus,
Emergency Department.
She was born in Wood County on May 29, 1955, a
daughter of the late Gerald and Sarah Snider
Furner.
Ivy was a graduate of Parkersburg South High
School and had been a waitress at the Corner
Cafe for 22 years. She was a "collector" of
many different things.
Surviving are three daughters, Amanda Massey,
Katrena Massey and Trevia Province, all of
Parkersburg; two stepchildren, Anthony Massey
of New Jersey and Dawn Massey of Florida; four
grandchildren, Gabrielle, Clara, Addie and
Ellie; one great-grandson, Trenton; one
brother, Emmit (Karen) Furner of Coolville;
two sisters, Peggy Bradley of Parkersburg and
Dottie (Paul) Whited of Mineral Wells; several
nieces and nephews; longtime close friend,
Marilyn Plum; and former husband, Frank Massey
of Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by three sisters, Maybelle Clark,
Amanda Furner and Nancy Furner; and her
fiance, Joe Barnette.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with her nephew, Chaplain Emmit
Furner officiating. Burial will follow at
Stewart Cemetery at Hockingport, Ohio.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from
noon until service time Thursday.
There will be a gathering of friends and
family for a meal and time of fellowship
following the burial at the Corner Cafe
Restaurant on Staunton Avenue in Parkersburg.
Wilma Virginia Henthorn
Parkersburg, WV
Wilma Virginia Henthorn, 71, of Parkersburg,
passed away Dec. 30, 2011, at Camden Clark
Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus in
Parkersburg.
She was born in Wood County to the late Okey
and Icie Nichols Lowers.
She is survived by her sons, Donald and
Michael (Myra) of Parkersburg. She is also
survived by the lights of her life, her
grandsons, Logan and Landon, and her
granddaughter, Autumn Rose. She is also
survived by her sister, Roxie, and her
brothers, Herschel and Paul.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her brothers, Arthur, Virgil and
Clyde.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg. Chaplain Johnny Briles will
officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen South
Cemetery. The visitation will be Sunday from 3-
5 p.m.

shown to their mother.
