Marjorie Lattea
Belpre, OH

Marjorie Leo Hall Lattea, 81, of Belpre,
passed away Oct. 24, 2011 at Marietta Memorial
Hospital.

She was born in Cheat Mt., W.Va., a daughter
of the late Mack and Ruby Gregory Lattea.

She was of the Protestant faith and had been
employed in the dietary department of Camden
Clark Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed
traveling, needle work and playing cards.

Surviving are four daughters, Ruby Coe of
Phoenix, Debra (Michael) Collins of Belpre,
Anna Parr of Phoenix, and Lynn (Fred) Maxson
of Coolville; nine grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren; one brother, Emlous
(Donna) Lattea of Barberton, Ohio; two
sisters, Eva White of Newcomerstown, Ohio and
Darlene Sweeny of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and
several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a daughter, Rose Marie Bauman, and
four brothers.

The funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St.,
Parkersburg with her brother, Pastor Emlous
Lattea, officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen North
Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Edna Ann Newhouse Thompson
Parkersburg, WV

Edna Ann Newhouse Thompson, 88, of
Parkersburg, passed away Oct. 22, 2011, at
Parkersburg Care and Rehab.

She was born Sept. 7, 1923 at Wirt County, a
daughter of the late John and Ethel Wilson
Newhouse.

She had worked at WT Grant Department Store.

Surviving is a son, David W. Thompson (Linda)
of Parkersburg; one grandson, Robert Shuman
and a foster grandson, Danny Thomas and one
sister, Virginia Taylor.

Preceding her in death is her husband of 50
years, Wayne Thompson; and a sister, Irene
Newhouse.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to
Kimes Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Eula Mae Bailey Evans
Titusville, FL

Eula Mae Bailey Evans passed away in
Titusville, Fla., Oct. 19, 2011, at the age of
90.

She was born May 1, 1921 at Morrisville, Va.,
grew up in Durbin, W.Va., had lived in Belpre,
Ohio, Parkersburg, and Titusville, Fla.

She was married to Floyd Owens Bailey and had
two sons, Douglas Owen Bailey and Ralph Darwin
Bailey.

She was an employee at the Wilmar Cafeteria
and Restaurant for about 10 years.

After Floyd Bailey passed away, she married
Dennis Evans and together they owned a second
hand and antique store on Seventh Street.
After Dennis passed away, she continued to
operate it until 1993 when she retired to
Florida. She enjoyed the sun and warmth of her
Florida home.

She leaves behind two sons, Douglas O. Bailey
and his wife Jutta and Ralph Darwin Bailey and
his wife Ernestine; six grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren, and two great-great-
grandchildren. She is also survived by two
brothers.

In addition to her two husbands, she was
preceded in death by her parents; three
brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today at
Kimes Funeral Home, with Elvis Gailbreath
officiating and burial will follow at
Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.

Florence Jean Snider
Belpre, OH

Florence Jean Snider, 78, of Belpre, passed
away Oct. 16, 2011, at the Ohio State
University Medical Center.

She was born at Rockport, W.Va., a daughter of
the late Friend and Luvada Smith Hickenbottom.

Jean was a 1951 graduate of Belpre High School
and was a member of the Friendship Ridge
Christian Fellowship Church. She had worked as
a cook for the Belpre City School System and
was a former employee of Nelson's Drug in
Belpre, Montgomery Wards and GC Murphy in
Parkersburg and other retail establishments.
She was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge
where she was a Thetoroha Advisor and member
of the Blennerhassett Chapter of the Daughters
of the American Revolution.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years,
Theodore "Ted" Snider; three sons, Michael
(Debbie) Snider of Reno, Stephen (Kelly)
Snider of Belpre and Tim (Kim) Snider of
Little Hocking; three daughters, Linda (Rick)
Nuhfer of Williamstown, Dianne Robinson and
Stacie Snider, both of Belpre; 10
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren;
her pet dogs, Sassie, Nekah, Smurf and Paige
and her pet cat, Valcor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by two brothers, Junior Hickenbottom
and Perl Hickenbottom and her sister, Amelia
Hickenbottom.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, 1
p.m. at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street,
Parkersburg. Pastor Duane Wolfe will officiate
and entombment will follow at Sunset Memory
Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8
p.m. today.

Roy Wildman
New England, WV

Roy William Wildman, 82, of New England,
passed away Oct. 15, 2011, at Camden Clark
Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

Private family inurnment will be held at the
convenience of the family

Janice Lynn Sams
Parkersburg, WV

Janice Lynn Sams, 50, of Parkersburg, passed
away Oct. 14, 2011, at Worthington Manor.

Janice was born March 3, 1961, in Arizona, a
daughter of Clifton Butcher and the late
Carolyn Butcher.

A Methodist by faith, she enjoyed art and her
dog, Susie.

In addition to her father, she is survived by
her husband, Richard Sams; one son, David
Michael Sams; three brothers, David Butcher
(Patty), Michael Butcher (Karen) and Clifton
Butcher (Christy). Also surviving is her
mother-in-law, Marybell Sams; and sister-in-
law, Mary Eagle.

Preceding her in death is her mother and
infant daughter, Jennifer Lynn Sams.

All friends and family are welcome at
graveside services to be held 1 p.m. Wednesday
at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens with Pastor
John Barker officiating.

Kimes Funeral Home is assisting the family
with arrangements.

Tawnya Maria Cremeans
Parkersburg, WV

Tawnya Maria Cremeans, 49, of Parkersburg,
passed away Oct. 8, 2011, at Camden Clark
Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

She was born Aug. 27, 1962 in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late William J. Nash and
Bernice Lemaster Lane-Thompson.

Surviving is her boyfriend, Gerry Bogenrief;
two sons, Mark Powell of Parkersburg and Rocky
Powell of Elizabeth, W.Va.; one daughter,
Jessica Powell Crockett of Parkersburg; two
grandchildren, Araya and Trenton Powell; two
brothers, William Shane Nash of Parkersburg
and Shaun Nash of Vienna; one sister, Sonya
Neal of Parkersburg; several nieces, nephews,
and cousins; and two aunts, Katie Bennett and
Dorothy Ward, both of Parkersburg.

The funeral service will be held 1 p.m.
Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St.,
Parkersburg with Rev. Robert Kniley
officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m.
Wednesday.
