N. Freda Lucas
Parkersburg, WV

N. Freda Lucas, 87, of Parkersburg, passed
away Jan. 13, 2013, at Eagle Point, where she
had been a resident.

Freda was born July 4, 1925, at River Hill, a
daughter of the late Thomas H. and Emma May
Bartlett Lucas. She was a dedicated Christian,
having been a member of the Trinity United
Methodist Church where she was active and
worked diligently with the United Methodist
Women. She retired from Nashua Photo, had
formerly worked at GC Murphys and in the Shoe
Department of Dils Dept. Store with her sister
Fern for many years.

Survivors include a brother, Ken (Helen) Lucas
of Parkersburg; a sister, Fay Snider of
Parkersburg; two nephews, Jeff Lucas (Dawn)
and Robert Lucas; seven nieces, Bee Smith
(Allen), Betty Jo Pryce, Sheila Belcher,
(Rondell), Cynthia Lucas, Teresa Stamp, Leslie
Turley (Rev. David), Kathy Paul (Scott); and
many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by two sisters, "her twin sister",
Nina Fern Lucas and Opal Haugh; three
brothers, Thomas O., J. Earl "Chick" and I.
Eldon Lucas; two brothers-in-law, John D.
Haugh and Rev. Ray Snider; three sisters-in-
law, Dorothy, Eckie and Juanita Lucas; three
nephews, Tommy Lucas, Robert Pryce and Tom
Stamp; and one niece, Carolyn Lucas Mills.

Memorial services are being planned and will
be held at Trinity United Methodist Church at
a later date.

Navaeh Noveron
Parkersburg, WV

Nevaeh Noveron, infant daughter of Megan Myers
and Jesus Noveron-Hernandez of Parkersburg.
She was born, and went to heaven to be with
the angels on Jan. 11, 2013, at Ruby Memorial
Hospital in Morgantown.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by
her paternal grandparents, Felipa Hernandez
Reyes and Santos Woveron Trinidad of Mexico;
and maternal grandparents, Cynthia Parsons and
Paul Myers of Parkersburg.

There will be no services at this time.

Parkersburg is assisting the family.

Pamela Buchannan
Marietta, OH

Pamela Renee Hendrickson Buchannan, 62, passed
away Jan. 10, 2013, at the Arbors of Marietta.

There will be no service or visitation. Kimes

Peggy O'Neil Knotts
Leachtown, WV

Peggy O'Neil Knotts, 82, of Leachtown, passed
away Jan. 7, 2013, at her home.

She was born Sept. 6, 1930, at Arnoldsburg,
W.Va., a daughter of the late Clyde and Elsie
Witte Wilson. Peggy was a high school
graduate, and was a homemaker.

Suviving is her son, David (Patty) Knotts of
Canton, Ohio; five grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha
(Richard) Wolfe of Davis, W.Va.; and a special
cousin, Robert Giles of Parkersburg. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Edward C. Knotts; and a
son, Edward C. Knotts Jr.

There will be no services or visitation.

Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services of
Parkersburg is assisting the family.

Judith Ann Dickel
Parkersburg, WV

Judith Ann Dickel, 77, of Parkersburg, passed
away Jan. 6, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical
Center.

She was born July 6, 1935, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Samuel Powell and Blanche
(Foraker) Sams. She was a Methodist by faith,
a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a
homemaker. She was also a member of the Doll
Girls Club.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Edward
Dickel; two sons, Lynn (Linda) Dickel of
Parkersburg, Sam Dickel of Mineral Wells,
W.Va. (fiancee, Belinda Watson); one daughter,
Cherie (Douglas) Cox of Belleville, W.Va.; six
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Judith will be sadly missed by her family and
friends.

There will be no visitation or funeral
services.

Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in
charge of assisting the family with
arrangements.

Dorothy E. Wilson
Parkersburg, WV

Dorothy E. Wilson, 84, of Unity Plaza,
Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 5, 2013, at
Camden Clark Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Wood County, a
daughter of the late Georgia VanCamp Obrien
and stepdaughter of the late Jim Obrien.

Dorothy was a graduate of Parkersburg High
School, and was a member of Gihon United
Methodist Church. She had worked at Roosevelt
Elementary School as a cook for many years.
She was a member of the Gihon Extension
Homemaker Club, and was a 4-H Leader for
several years. Dorothy was a homemaker, who
enjoyed crochet, cooking, baking and taking
care of the home and family.

Surviving are two sons, George Garland
(Sharon) Wilson Jr. of Parkersburg and Richard
H. (Charlene) Wilson of Mineral Wells; two
daughters, Sandra Kay (Rick) Matheny of Belpre
and Lois D. (Gary) Walton of Parkersburg; son-
in-law, Terry Barnes of Parkersburg; 14
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one
brother, Johnny (the late Phyliss) Obrien of
Parkersburg; two sisters, Betty (the late
Kenneth) Santee of Waverly and Ella Rose
(Albert) Tuttle of Vienna; and several nieces
and nephews.

In addition to her mother and stepfather, she
was preceded in death by her husband, George
Garland Wilson; a daughter, Debbie Barnes; two
brothers, Charles and Max Obrien; and two
sisters, Myrtle Urchel and Marlene Cross.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at
Kimes Funeral Home. Pastor Lloyd Winans will
officiate, and burial will follow at Sunset
Memory Gardens. The visitation will begin at
10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Ira Edward (Papa) Sinnett
Parkersburg, WV

Ira Edward (Papa) Sinnett, 86, of Parkersburg,
died on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Ohio Valley
Health Care.

He was born to the late Melvin and Delphia
Lamp Sinnett on Aug. 24, 1926 in Parkersburg.
Edward graduated from Parkersburg High School,
and attended Mountain State College. He
retired from Kaiser Aluminum of Ravenswood. He
had a great passion for golf. Edward attended
St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He loved
to travel to Florida. His family was truly
blessed to have such a wonderful person in
their lives. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of
World War II, and was recipient of the Pacific
Theater Ribbon, The American Theater Ribbon
and the Victory Medal.

Edward is survived by one child, Ginger Brock
and her husband Paul of Parkersburg. He is
survived by three granddaugthers, Tammi Boice
Blakeney (Michael) of Monroe, N.C., Tricia
Boice Schommer of Broken Arrow, Okla. and
Michelle (Missy) Boice McFalling of Columbia,
S.C.; eight great-grandchildren, Janay Brown,
Josiah Blakeney, Courtney Schommer, Jessica
Schommer, Nicholas Shommer, Tyler Schommer,
Siera McFalling and Blayney McFalling. He is
also survived by a sister, Madeline Chichester
of North Carolina; and a brother and sister-in-
law, Dick and Della Sinnett of Dallas, Ga.;
sisters-in-law, Freda Nicholson of Wirt County
and Madeline Boggs of Roane County; many
nieces and nephews; and good friends, Donna
and Larry Boston; and all of the wonderful
people at Ohio Valley Health Care. Edward was
preceded in death by his wife of 63 years,
Garnet Boggs Sinnett.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street,
Parkersburg. Father John Gallagher will
officiate, and burial will follow at Sunset
Memory Gardens, with military rites provided
by the American Legion Post #15 of
Parkersburg. The visitation will be 2-8 p.m.
Sunday, and an hour prior to the service
Monday.
