Bonnie Lou Life, 84, of Parkersburg, passed
away Dec. 13, 2012, at Wyngate Assisted Living
where she and her husband have been residing.
She was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Wood County, a
daughter of the late John and Pearl Zerkle
Carroll and step daughter of the late Loretta
Carroll.
She was a long-time member of the Camden
Avenue Church of Christ and had formerly
worked at Love and Care Assisted Living Home
as an aide and she was an avid bowler at
RenDor Lanes.
Surviving is her husband, Lawrence
Raymond "Ray" Life; three sons, John (Karen)
Life, Jim (Mona) Life and Jeff Life all of
Parkersburg and daughter, Jenny (Randy) Ware
of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren, Jessica
(Jeremiah) McKenzie, Jana (Jeremy) Myers,
James Michael (April) Life, Melissa Life,
Alexander Life, Benjamin Life, Ashley Ware and
Megan Ware; three great-grandchildren,
Christopher, Daniel and Lilly Life and several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and step mother,
she was preceded in death by an infant
daughter, Jane Pearl Life and two sisters,
Thelma Carroll and Geraldine Johnson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2
p.m. Saturday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
St., Parkersburg. Evangelist John Rockhold
will officiate and burial will follow at
Evergreen South Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Saturday beginning
at 10 a.m.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Love
and Care Assisted Living Home in memory of
Bonnie Life.
Faye Cook
Parkersburg, WV
Dorothy Faye (Donley) Cook, 78, of
Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Dec. 10, 2012,
at her home, with her husband and children by
her side.
Born Oct. 18, 1934, in Sharondale, Ky., she
was the daughter of the late Landon and
Elizabeth (Lethgo) Donley.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and
grandmother, who loved reading her Bible,
working in her garden and taking care of her
family. She was a faithful member of Rosemar
Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years,
Evangelist Wirt Cook; two sons, Ron Cook
(DeDe) of Parkersburg and Andrew Cook
(Calandra) of Montgomery, Ala.; three
daughters, Debby Warne (Kris) of Georgetown,
Ky., Eydie McIntire (Steve) of Parkersburg and
Kelly Jones (Doug) of Parkersburg; 12
grandchildren, Joshua Warne (Blake), Emily
Warne, Drew McIntire (Angela), Eric McIntire,
Wirt Cook (Paige), Marybeth Cook, Landon Cook,
Joseph Cook, Trevor Jones, Camille Jones,
Teagan Cook and Aislinn Cook; three great-
grandchildren, Emmy Brook Warne, Easton Warne
and Maxtin Cook; sister, Betty Murphy (Gene);
brother, Chay Donley; sister-in-law, Celia
Wisch (Bob); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
Landon and Elizabeth Donley; and her brother,
Bobby Donley.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with her son-in-law, Steve
McIntire officiating. Burial will follow at
Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive visitors from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home, and one hour prior to services
Friday.
The family requests memorial donations be made
to the Strecker Cancer Center.
Jack Eugene Dollman
Parkersburg, WV
Jack Eugene Dollman, 65, of Parkersburg,
passed away Dec. 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born April 12, 1947, in Parkersburg,
the son of Betty Juanita Poling Dollman of
Parkersburg and the late Lester Dollman.
Jack was a self employed electrician and a
veteran of the Vietnam War having served in
the U.S. Army.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a
son, Neil Dollman of Parkersburg, and one
grandchild.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in
death by his brother, Donald Joe Dollman.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street,
Parkersburg. Rev. Cindy Eakle will officiate
and burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until
service time today.
Deanna Lee Childers
St. Marys, WV
Deanna Lee Childers, 56, of St. Marys, W.Va.,
went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 29, 2012.
She was born July 4, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio,
a daughter of the late Burton Damron and Eva
Mae Miracle Robertson. She had attended the
Good Hope Baptist Church near Willow Island,
and was a homemaker. She had formerly worked
as a glass engraver. She enjoyed flower
gardening, crafts, cooking, spending time with
family and friends, reading and enjoyed the
family pets as well.
Surviving is one son, Wylie Dean (Michelle
Huff) Childers; three daughters, Lisa Dawn
(David) McCartney, Erin Marie (Gale) Meyer and
Katlynn Michelle (Nick Whytsell) Childers, all
of St. Marys; six grandchildren, Austin
McCartney, Alex McCartney, Cyle West, Elyssa
West, Rylee Childers and Skylyn Childers; one
brother, Burton "Butch" (Connie Simmons) of
St. Marys; sister, Penny E. (Bill) Bird of
Friendly; and several nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Billy D. Childers; and a
sister, Deborah Jean Smith.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m.
Sunday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in St. Marys;
Pastor Darrell Mayfield will officiate. There
will be a gathering of friends and relatives
to celebrate Deanna's life immediately
following the service at Cytec Pond at Belmont.
Flowers and cards may be sent to her residence
or memorial donations may be made to the
Pleasants County dog shelter.

Inez Modesitt
Parkersburg, WV
Inez Modesitt, 91, of Parkersburg, a long time
resident of the Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility,
passed away Nov. 28, 2012, at Eagle Pointe.
She was born June 5, 1921 at Walker, W.Va., a
daughter of the late Raymond and Claudia
Nichols Modesitt. Inez was a member of the
Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, and she
is survived by several nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by brothers, Virgil, Carl, Amos and
Oliver Modesitt; and two sisters, Helen Todd
and Mabel Spears.
There will be no service and no visitation.
Burial will be at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at
Walker.
Kimes Funeral Home of Parkersburg is assisting
with the arrangements.
Ferne Piggott Anderson
Parkersburg, WV
Ferne Piggott Anderson passed peacefully to
another life on Nov. 24, 2012, at Camden Clark
Medical Center.
Born Christal Ferne Piggott on June 30, 1922,
to Rueben L. and Nellie Whipkey Piggott at
Belleville, W.Va., she attended Humphrey Grade
School, Washington Junior High and graduated
from Parkersburg High School in 1941.
On July 3, 1943, she married Charles M.
Anderson. She had worked at American Viscose,
and retired from Sears and Roebuck. A longtime
member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she
belonged to Sunday School classes and Prayer
Groups, and helped to prepare for many dinners
and bazaars. She loved to play "Bunko" with
her neighbor and friends. In the past, she had
belonged to Beta Sigma Phi and the Order of
the Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra and Ed
Flinn and Patti Carnes and Mike Spiker and his
daughter, Alexis; granddaughter, Katie Flinn
Hines and husband, Caitlin Hines, with great-
grandchildren, Ellie and Wade Hines;
granddaughter, Tessie Carnes and husband,
Chuck Hardin; grandsons, Joey Carnes and Sarah
Carnes, Tony Carnes and Cindy Hughart; son-in-
law, Steve Carnes; several brother and sisters-
in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Charles M. Anderson
in 1979; an infant son, Robert; sisters,
Regina Smith and brother-in-law, Lawrence
Smith, and Laverne (her identical twin) and
brother-in-law, John "Ted" Steele.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with the Rev. Dave Stilgenbauer
officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset
Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m.
Monday and an hour prior to the service
Tuesday.
