William Donald "Don" Allman
Davisville, WV

William Donald "Don" Allman, 95, of
Davisville, W.Va., passed away June 6, 2013,
at the Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born at Slate, W.Va., on Nov. 26, 1917,
a son of the late William Henry and Cora Belle
James Allman.

Don was of the Methodist Faith, was retired
from the Ironworkers Union Local #787. He was
a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, member of
the Disabled American Veterans of Murphytown
and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and
camping.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Parker
Allman, one son William "Bill" Allman Jr., of
Davisville, five grandchildren, Mike Allman,
Jill Allman, Tashua Allman-Duval (Karl),
Brandy (Jason) Radcliff, and Lacey Allman.

Four great-grandchildren, Isaac West, Zoie
Allman, Raina Allman, and Bella Oldaker; one
brother, Bernard (Jane) Allman of Raleigh,
N.C., two sisters, Nona Huxley of Parkersburg
and Barbara Murnahan of Mooresville, W.Va. and
several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his daughter-in-law, Tina Allman;
four brothers, Hubert, Dick, Ray, and John
Allman; three sisters, Thirza Garner, Peg
Cusack and Mae Miracle.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2
p.m. Saturday at the Kimes Funeral Home, 521
Fifth St., Parkersburg. Burial will follow at
Parkersburg Memorial Gardens with Military
Rites conducted by the American Legion, Post
#15. The visitation will be from 4-8 p.m.
today.

Walter Eugene Dailey
Parkersburg, WV

Walter Eugene "Gene" Dailey I, 79, of
Parkersburg, passed away June 6, 2013, at
Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Wood County, a
son of the late Sabastian Wilmer and Martha
Jane Hanshaw Dailey. Gene was a member of the
19th Street Church of God of which he helped
construct during the ministry of Rev. Gibson.
He had also been a member of the church
softball team, sang in the church choir, had
been a member of a quartet and was a soloist.
He was a construction worker for 35 years and
he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping,
woodworking, coached ball teams and especially
loved and enjoyed his family.

Surviving is his son, Walter Eugene "Wally"
Dailey II of Parkersburg, and his daughter,
Carolyn Jane (Keith) McCloy of Parkersburg;
eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Stacy), Justin
(Nikki), Jerod (Sarah) and Jansen (fiance,
Hope Stanley) McCloy, Derek, Teontia and Deion
Dailey and RJ (Berlin) Clegg; eight great-
grandchildren, Conner, Riley, Olivia, Kolten
and Isabella McCloy, Sidney Clegg, Alaiah
James and Christian Ovalle; two soon-to-be
expected great-grandchildren, Carson River
Clegg and Landon Blaine McCloy; and many
nieces and nephews. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his
loving wife of 56 years, Phyllis Pauline
Freeland Dailey, whom he married on Sept. 7,
1955; five brothers, Howard, Russell, Amos,
Cecil and Wilmer Dailey; and three sisters,
Betty Dailey, Iona Smith and Flora Richards.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.
Sunday at the 19th Street Church of God,
Pastor Randell Fuson will officiate and burial
will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. The
visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th Street,
Parkersburg, and at the church on Sunday one
hour prior to the service.

Maxine Lucille Duckworth
Mineral Wells, WV

Maxine Lucille Duckworth, 68, of Mineral
Wells, passed away May 22, 2013, at her home
unexpectedly.

She was born in Wood County, a daughter of the
late John Lloyd and Edith Blanche Shaffer
Flinn. She was raised by her Uncle and Aunt,
the late Herb and Mary Shaffer of Belleville.

Maxine was a 1962 graduate of PHS, was a
member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist
Church and church study groups and was a
Homemaker.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, wildlife and
flowers.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Clinton
Duckworth; two sons, Pastor Michael
Christopher (Kendra Michelle) Duckworth of
Capon Bridge, W.Va. and Preston Grant (Lisa)
Duckworth of Mineral Wells; three
grandchildren, Matthew Duckworth, Brandon
Duckworth and Darrian Duckworth; one sister,
Arlene (the late Robert) Martin of Hilliard,
Ohio, and their children, Sudonna Martin, Tom
and Rick Martin.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist
Church at Mineral Wells, Rev. Kevin Lantz will
officiate and burial will follow at the Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery. The visitation will be at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth Street,
Parkersburg, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and
at the church one hour prior to the service on
Saturday.

Elizabeth Headley
Parkersburg, WV

N. Elizabeth (Libby) (Grammy) Headley, 94, of
Parkersburg passed away May 15, 2013, at the
Willows.

She was born July 12, 1918, at Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Charles and Rae Roxie
Somerville Hickman. She was a member of the
Epworth United Methodist Church where she was
a member of the quilting club and was also a
former member of the South Parkersburg Women's
Club and had formerly worked for 14 years at
American Viscose and 27 years at Big Bear
Grocery.

Survivors include two daughters Sherry (Larry)
Villers of Parkersburg, and Ann E. Dowler
(Bernard) of Ripley, four grandchildren Shelly
Villers, David Villers, Lisa Martin (Aaron)
and Dustin Dowler, two great grandchildren,
Wyatt and Sophie Martin; several nieces and
nephews including special niece and nephew
Judy Sellers and Steve Stanley, as well as a
special thank you to neighbors, Macy and Micky
Metz and Mike and Dave Boice.

Preceding her in death in addition to her
parents, is her husband Howard E. Headley, two
brothers, Robert Lee Hickman and Ed Hickman;
one half brother, Ray Hickman, and two
sisters, Garnet Hunt and Elma Stanley.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg. The family will accept visitors
from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and
one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial
will be at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.

Robert Todd Crigger
Parkersburg, WV

Robert Todd Crigger, 48, of Parkersburg,
passed away April 28, 2013, at the Arbors of
Marietta.

He was born July 17, 1964, in Parkersburg, a
son of Robert E. and Janet Dotson Crigger of
Parkersburg. Todd was a graduate of
Parkersburg High School, a member of the Gihon
United Methodist Church, and a former employee
of Wal-Mart and Abraxas. He was a NASCAR fan.

Surviving is his wife, Sonya West Crigger; one
son, Eric Todd Crigger, at home, and a
daughter, Amber (Diego) Crigger-Rivera of
Marietta; two grandchildren, Donte Rivera and
Albany Rivera; and two brothers, Kevin
(Rachel) Crigger of North Carolina and Michael
Crigger of Parkersburg. He was preceded in
death by his grandparents, Emmitt and Ellen
Crigger and Berl and Florence Dotson, and a
special cousin, Brian Dotson.

The funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m.
Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth
Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor Jim Eakle
officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel
Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The visitation
will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Sue Bennett
Belpre, OH

Sue Gabbert Ohse Bennett, 57, of Belpre,
passed away April 24, 2013, at the Cleveland
Clinic.

She was born July 31, 1955 in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Howard C. and Roberta
Ethel Dernberger Gabbert.

Sue was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and
listening to music.

Surviving is her husband, Clifton Bennett;
three sons, Johnie Murriel (Misty D.) Ohse, II
of Reedsville, Ohio, Roger Ohse and Isaiah
Ohse, both of Parkersburg; four grandchildren,
Aleya, Brodi, Alicia and Kimberly; two
brothers, Wayne Gabbert of Washington, W.Va.
and Jimmy Gabbert of Parkersburg; two sisters,
Janet Clegg of Washington State and Joyce
Brown of Marietta.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her first husband, Johnie Murriel
Ohse I in 1998 and a brother Roger Gabbert.

There will be a memorial service held 1 p.m.
Thursday, May 2, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
Fifth St., Parkersburg. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home beginning
at noon on Thursday.

Memorial donations may be made to favorite
charities or to the funeral home to help
offset the cost of expenses.

John Wesley Rockhold Jr., 90, of
Parkersburg, passed away Dec. 1,
2014, at the Worthington Manor
Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 1, 1924, in
Parkersburg, a son of the late John
Wesley Rockhold Sr. and Annis Fetty
Rockhold.

John was a Parkersburg High School
graduate and was retired from the
Wharton Auto Group as an Auto Body
Technician. He was a long time member
of the Camden Avenue Church of
Christ, where he had taught Bible
Class and served as an usher for many
years. He was past president of the
Tygart Elementary School PTA and past
member of the Franklin Jr. High Band
Boosters. He also enjoyed repairing
antique clocks.

Surviving are two sons, John W.
(Renee) Rockhold III of Parkersburg,
and Roger L. (Ann) Rockhold of
Edmond, Okla.; and three
grandchildren, Stacy L. (Lydon)
Rockhold Reed of Texas, Jared C.
Rockhold of Oklahoma, and Alex
Buckley of St. Marys. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death
by his wife, Betty J. Lowers Rockhold
on March 8, 2005; four brothers; and
one sister.

The funeral service will be held at 1
p.m., Friday, Dec. 5, at the Camden
Avenue Church of Christ. Envangelist
Dana Slingluff will officiate and
burial will follow at Sunset Memory
Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4
p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4,
at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th
Street, Parkersburg.

Memorial donations may be made to the
Love & Care Personal Care Home, P.O.
Box #1512, Dupont Road, Parkersburg,
WV 26102.
