Virginia Lee Boggess
Vienna, WV

Virginia Lee Boggess, 91, a recent resident of
Apple Tree Assisted Living in Barlow, and
former resident of Vienna, passed away Nov. 2,
2014, at the Arbors of Marietta.

She was born on May 16, 1923, in Akron, Ohio,
a daughter of the late Edwin Lee and Madge
McElwee Jarvis.

Virginia was a member of the Grand Central
Avenue Church of Christ and had been a charter
member of the Lubeck Church of Christ. She had
worked at Sears as a Seamstress. She enjoyed
quilting, sewing, and gardening.

Surviving are her children, son, Brison
(Josette) Boggess of Vincent, Ohio; daughter,
Sandra (Charles) Weidlich of Vandellia, Ohio;
son, James Boggess of Scott Depot, W.Va.; and
son, Lynn (Jennifer) Boggess of Canvas, W.Va.;
9 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; one
brother, Ira Jarvis; and two sisters, Ida Jean
Fleming and Garnet Williams. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by her
husband, James Boggess Sr.; a son, Layne
Boggess; and a brother, Edwin Jarvis.

A private family funeral service will be held
on Friday, Nov. 7. Evangelist Danny Plum will
officiate, with burial to follow at Evergreen
South Cemetery. There will be a public
visitation with viewing from 4-7 p.m.,
Thursday, Nov. 6, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
5th Street, Parkersburg.

Louwannah Snider
Waverly, WV

Louwannah (Non) Keller Snider, went home to be
with our Lord, on Nov. 2, 2014. She passed
away at home, surrounded by her loved ones and
friends.

She was born Feb. 14, 1962, in Parkersburg,
the daughter of Douglas Keller and the late
Charlotte Garrison, and step-daughter to Russ
Garrison and Marcia Keller.

She was a proud graduate of Williamstown High
School, class of 1980. She was a homemaker,
loved the Lord, her family and grandchildren,
and loved animals.

Also surviving is her husband, Michael Snider;
two daughters, Susan (Travis) Turner of
Kentucky, and Stephanie (Josh Schofield)
Cornell of Waverly; three sons, Wyatt, Dillon,
and Dalton Snider, all living at home; four
grandchildren, Savannah Grace Schofield,
Skylar Schofield, Colton, and Kinsley "Peanut"
Turner; two sisters, Lorrie (Mark) Arthur of
Deerwalk, and Sandra "Sal" (Jack) Bills of St.
Marys; and two brothers, Ryan (Cathy) Garrison
and Dexter "Deck" (Ali) Garrison, both of
Waverly. Also surviving are numerous aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Non was a Hospice patient of Amedysis and was
also cared for by her aunt, Mary Moore; aunt,
Jill Brown; daugher, Stephanie; sister, Sandy
Bills; and friend of the family, Kenny
Robinson.

She was loved by all.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m.,
Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
5th Street, with Pastor Brady Stephens
officiating. The visitation will begin at 2
p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, until service time.

George Franklin Richards
Coolville, OH

George Franklin Richards Sr., 76, of
Coolville, Ohio, passed away Nov. 2, 2014, at
his home.

He was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Wellsburg,
W.Va., a son of the late Jesse V. Richards and
Kathleen Watson Richards.

George proudly served in the United States Air
Force as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic, having
enlisted in 1955 and retired in 1978. He
achieved the top enlisted rank of Chief Master
Sergeant very early in his career. He served
multiple tours of duty in Vietnam from 1963
through 1969. Five of his brothers served in
the military, with two of them also serving
with him in Vietnam. He was a devoted military
man and was active in his community. After his
military retirement, he was employed with
Astorg Motors for 10 years, as well as the
Wharton Auto Group for 10 years. Mr. Richards
was an avid golfer, having recently golfed his
age, and enjoyed playing in the Senior League
at Oxbow Golf Course. He was also an
accomplished kayaker, having executed a solo
trip from Pittsburgh to Parkersburg.

George is survived by his two daughters,
Deborah L. (Robert) Kahan of Denver, Colo.,
and Cathy (Jack) Andrews of Athens; two sons,
Rick (Wanda) Richards of Coolville, and Chad
(Sandra) Richards of Raleigh, N.C.; 10
grandchildren, Cynthia (Chris) Richards,
Calvin Richards, Bryony (Rick) Farmer, Bradley
Andrews, Michaela Kahan, Emily Richards,
Natasha Kahan, Natalie Richards, Anthony
Calamia, and Traci Calamia; a great-
grandchild, Trinity Farmer; one sister, Rose
Marie Forsythe of Wellsburg, W.Va.; and two
brothers, Paul Richards of Wellsburg, W.Va.,
and Thomas (Brenda) Richards of Myrtle Beach,
S.C. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E.
Stewart Richards; and three brothers, William,
James, and Robert Richards; a sister, Mary
Mozingo; and a granddaughter, Whitney Andrews.

There will be a visitation with viewing from
4-7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, at Kimes Funeral
Home, 521 5th Street, Parkersburg. Burial with
full military honors will be held at the
Arlington National Cemetery in Washington,
D.C., at a later date.

Mary J McCroskey
Walker, WV

Mary J. McCroskey, 86, of Walker, W.Va.,
passed away Oct. 31, 2014, at Genesis
Parkersburg Care & Rehab Center.

She was born June 2, 1928, in Wood County, a
daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Ingold
Southern.

Mary was a 1946 graduate of PHS and was a
homemaker. She enjoyed life and family, and
raising a vegatable garden and flowers.

Surviving are two sons, Everett D. "Buck"
McCroskey Jr. of Parkersburg, and Brandon
(Kathy Lansberry) McCroskey of Mineral Wells;
six grandchildren, Shayne, Zachary, Tracy,
Miranda, Ashley, and Brandi; six great-
grandchildren, Clayton, Landon, Dillon,
Tianna, Noah, and Wyatt; one brother, Rusty
(Sharon) Southern of Parkersburg; and two
sisters, June Stone and Donna (Bob) Galloway,
both of Vienna. In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband,
Everett Donald McCroskey Sr., on Oct. 1, 2014;
a daughter and son-in-law, Tonya Lee and
Channing Duckworth; a granddaughter, Christy
Duckworth; and two sisters, Mabel Ritchie and
Ruth Collett.

There will be a graveside service held at 11
a.m., Monday, Nov. 3, at the Kanawha Baptist
Cemetery, with Pastor Jerry Caplinger
officiating. The visitation will be from 4-7
p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2, at Kimes Funeral Home,
and from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Monday morning, Nov.
3, before proceding to the cemetery.

Douglas Lockhart Blair
Parkerburg, WV

Douglas Lockhart Blair, 52, of Parkersburg
passed away Oct. 24, 2014, at Marietta
Memorial Hospital.

He was born on April 3, 1962, in Parkersburg,
a son of Ralph and Jo Ellen Pitts Blair of
Belleville.

Douglas had been employed as a superintendent
with Valley Crest Landscaping and he enjoyed
woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by
his wife, Tammy Sue Tallman Blair; one son,
Timothy D. (Kasey) Blair of Parkersburg; two
daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Krzan of Parkersburg,
and Tabetha (Robert) Fox of Haines City, Fla.;
10 grandchildren; two foster grandchildren;
one brother, Samuel Kelly Blair of Belpre; and
two sisters, Tori (J.B.) Sims of Washington,
W.Va., and Sue Ellen (Charles) Wilson of
Larkmead.

There will be a private family funeral service
at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Kimes Funeral
Home, 521 Fifth Street Parkersburg, with
Pastor Joe Busch officiating. There will be a
public visitation with viewing from 3-5 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 30, at the funeral home.

Cindy Diana (Dilo) Ball
Vienna, WV

Cindy Dianne (Dilo) Ball, 36, of Central
Drive, passed away recently.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1978, in Parkersburg,
a daughter of Bernard Francis "Bernie" and
Theresa "Terry" J. Kirl Ball of Parkersburg.

Cindy was a graduate of PSHS and curently was
working as a server at Logan's Roadhouse. She
had also worked as a server/hostess at China
Garden, Don Emillios, and Bob Evans.

In additon to her parents, she is survived by
her son, Seth Michael Dawkins of Parkersburg;
three brothers, Bernie Ball Jr. of
Parkersburg, Phil (Kerra) Ball of Belpre and
Jeff Ball of Parkersburg; and five sisters,
Barbara Ball Catt (Carl) of Madison, Ind.,
Katy Ball McNemar of Parkersburg, Jo Ball
Bussey (David) of Washington, W.Va., Debbie
Ball Joy of Belpre, and Jill Ball Jenkins
(Jeff) of Madison, Ind. Also surviving are
several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and
special close friend, Venessa Stover and
Connie Anderson, who she considered a Guardian
Angel to both her and Seth. She was preceded
in death by her paternal grandparents,
O.L. "Ossie" Ball and Kathryn Ludwig Ball; and
her maternal grandparents, Paul A. Kirl Sr.
and Betty Johnson Kirl.

There will be a private memorial service held
at a later date at the convenience of the
family. There will be no public viewing or
visitation.

The family would like to express their thanks
to the Wood and Wirt County Sheriffs
Departments and the Wood and Wirt County
Detatchments of the West Virginia State Police
for all of their diligent service and
investigative efforts.

Memorial donations may be made in Cindy's
memory to the charity of the donor's choice.

Parkersburg is assisting the family.

Thomas Seebaugh
Stillwell, WV

Richard Thomas Seebaugh, 60, of the Stillwill
Commuity, passed away Oct. 24, 2014, at
Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on July 18, 1954, in Parkersburg,
a son of Iona O. Schreckengost Seebaugh of
Parkersburg, and the late Thomas Seebaugh.

Richard worked as a Field Service Instructor
at WVU-P and was a National Firefighter
Instructor. He worked as an EMT for 15 years
and was a member of the Eastwood Volunteer
Fire Department and was a former member of the
Blennerhassett and Lubeck Volunteer Fire
Departments. He and his wife also owned a
horse farm at Stillwell; he built race cars
and enjoyed Dirt Track Racing.

Surviving is his wife, Laura Joan Mock
Seebaugh; one daughter, Julie Seebaugh of
Belpre; two step-sons, Sean W Brady of
Burlington, N.C., and Richard P. Brady of
Marietta; one brother, Randy Seebaugh of
Vincent, Ohio; and a sister, Janice Boston of
Coolville.

There will be a memorial service for family
and friends at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at
the Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department, with
Pastor Michael Sauers speaking, as well as
others.

Kimes Funerall Home & Cremation Services of
Parkersburg is assisting the family.

Contributions may be made in Richard's memory
to the Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department.
