Eugene Whitehead
Belleville, WV

Eugene McDonald Whitehead Jr., of Belleville,
passed away July 21, 2014, at the University
of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Parkersburg, the
son of the late Arlene Mae Clutter Whitehead.

Eugene enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and
loved his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife, Mabel M. (Lucas)
Whitehead; a daughter, Arlene (Jake) Whitehead
Bowman; and four grandchildren, Jordan,
Morgan, Jake and Logan Bowman.

At his request, there will be no service and
no visitation.

Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services of
Parkersburg is assisting the family.

Virginia A Ross
Belpre, OH

Virginia A. Ross, 78, of Belpre, Ohio, went
home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2014. She
passed away at Heartland of Marietta.

She was born Oct. 31, 1935, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred Wilson
Husk.

Virginia was a Christian and member of the
Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a loving
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was
a homemaker.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Dallas
Ross Sr.; one son, Dallas ( Carolyn) Ross Jr.
of Little Hocking; two daughters, Rebecca
(Mike) Yonis of Belpre, and Debra (Bob) Dunbar
of Little Hocking; six grandchildren, Suzan
Edgell, Richard Ross, Dallas Ross III, Robert
Dunbar Jr., Brandon Dunbar and Michael Yonis
III; eight great-grandchildren, Austin Ross,
Megan Ross, Ryan Ross, Ashley Edgell, Aaron
Edgell, Haley Ross, Wyatt Ross and Kinzie
Dunbar; two brothers, Floyd (Karen) Husk and
Dan (Gloria) Husk; three sisters, Peggy
Lowther, Bonnie Mixon and Sandra (Jim)
Skelley; and a sister by choice, her long time
friend, Thelma Rymer. Also surviving are
several nieces and nephews. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by a
sister, Barbara Husk Nichols Biles; a niece,
Kimberly Nichols Riffle; and two nephews,
Floyd Husk Jr. and Mark Husk.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.
Sunday, July 20, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
5th Street, Parkersburg. Pastor Lloyd Winans
will officiate and burial will follow at
Evergreen North Cemetery. The visitation will
be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the
funeral home.

Robert Juart
Belpre, OH

Robert Joseph Juart, 57, of Belpre, passed
away July 17, 2014, at the Arbors of Marietta.

He was born Oct. 6, 1956, at Latrobe, Pa. He
was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a Carpenter for 30
years.

Surviving is his mother, Wanda Grim Juart
Tucker; step-father, James Tucker; brothers,
William (Deb) of Brookville, Pa., and Timothy
(Michelle) of Smicksburg, Pa., and Russell
(Margaret) of Smicksburg, Pa.; sisters,
Kathryn Busch (William) of Smicksburg, Pa.,
and twin sister, Cynthia Miller of Vero Beach,
Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is his father, Wiliam
Juart; brother, Mark Juart; and niece, Sara
Juart.

A memorial service will be held at a later
date.

Memorial donations should be directed to the
Strecker Cancer Center, Marietta Ohio.

Marjorie Willey James
Parkersburg, WV

Marjorie Willey James, 73, of Parkersburg,
passed away July 10, 2014, at the Worthington
Manor Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 25, 1940, in Ravenswood, in
Jackson County, a daughter of the late Hugh
McGrew and Hazel Barnhart McGrew Grady.

Marjorie was of the Baptist Faith and was a
devoted mother and homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Lynn
Willey; her step-son, Barry Willey of
Parkersburg; three grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Linda)
McGrew of Parkersburg, and Earl Folden of
Ripley; two sisters, Helen Westbrook of
Parkersburg, and Edna (Ed) Laughery of
Sandusky, Ohio; and several nieces and
nephews. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Alfred C.
Willey; and three brothers and one sister.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.,
Saturday, July 12, at The Kimes Funeral Home,
521 5th Street, Parkersburg, her nephew, Bob
Carr will be speaking. Burial will follow at
the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The visitation will
be from 4-7 p.m. today, and an hour prior to
the service on Saturday, July 12, at the
funeral home.

Belpre, OH

Carol Sue Hill White, 73, of Belpre, passed
away July 10, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical
Center.

At her request, there will be no funeral
service or visitation.

Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services of
Parkersburg is assisting the family.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of
the donor's choice in Memory of Carol.

Todd Brandon Black
Williamstown, WV

Todd Brandon Black, 40, of Williamstown, went
to be with his Lord July 9, 2014 at home. He
was born April 18, 1974 at Marietta Ohio, a
son of Thomas W. "Tom" Black of Parkersburg
and Karla Morris Spencer of Williamstown.

Todd was a member of the Sunrise Church of
Christ and was employed by ProCareers and had
also been employed at the Mountaineer
Restaurant and Kimes Funeral Home. He had
served in the United States Air Force,
attended Mississippi State University and
WVU-P. He loved sports having participated in
Pee-Wee baseball, football, and wrestling, and
participated in golf and wrestling at PHS,
additionally he coached Pee-Wee football at
Williamstown. Todd umpired High School and
Adult League baseball as well as officiated
wrestling and volleyball. He also enjoyed
riding horses, fishing, hunting and skiing.

Surviving in addition to his parents is his
son Brandon Tyler Black of Louisville,
Mississippi; his step-father Dennis Spencer
and step-mother Kathy Kimes-Black; one brother
Jason (Rhonda) Black of Navarre, Fla.; one
sister Barbie (Jared) Naugle of Jacksonville,
Fla.; two step brothers Dennis (Paula) Spencer
Jr. of Rockville, Md., Brad Kimes (Kristy) of
Parkersburg; one step-sister Donna Spencer of
Alma W.Va.; and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces,
Nephews, Cousins and extended family and
friends all of whom he loved.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m.
Monday at Kimes Funeral Home with the
Evangelist Elvis Galbreath officiating

Burial will follow at Evergreen North
Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from
3-7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on
Monday.

Memorial donations should be directed to the
Brandon Black Scholarship fund in care of
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 5th St., Parkersburg.

John Nesselroad
Parkersburg, WV

John Edward Nesselroad, 63, of Parkersburg,
passed away July 6, 2014, at his home.

He was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Parkersburg, a
son of the late Ira H. Nesselroad and Goldie
Marie Fleak Nesselroad.

John had retired from DuPont and was a former
employee of Diamond Glass. He was a member of
the Eagles Club, was an avid PSHS Fan and
enjoyed riding horses.

Surviving is his brother, Joe (Debbie)
Nesselroad of Washington, W.Va.; several
nieces and nephews including, J.T. (Cassie)
Nesselroad, Kelley Nesselroad and Erica
Nesselroad; and a special aunt, Hilda Ruth
Terrell of Parkersburg. In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by brothers,
James F. "Jim" Nesselroad, Charles Nesselroad
and William H. "Bill" Nesselroad; and sisters,
Martha Irene Nesselroad and Margaret Knupp.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
Thursday, July 10, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
5th Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor Dave
Cumpston officiating, and burial will follow
at the Wadesville Cemetery. The visitation
will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the
funeral home.

Beulah Irene Smitherman
Happy Valley, WV

Beulah Irene Smitherman, 91, of the Happy
Valley Community, passed away July 6, 2014, at
Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born Nov. 15, 1922, in Parkersburg, a
daughter of the late Draper Camden Wine and
Rosa Rawson Wine.

Beulah was of the Baptist Faith and had been
an employee of Misty Manufacturing. She
enjoyed traveling, camping and NASCAR. Her and
her late husband, Earl, spent their winter
months in Brownsville, Texas, for many years.

Surviving are two sons, Butch (Nancy) Brandt
of Vincent, Ohio, and Charles (Melanie) Brandt
of Marietta; a daughter, Sue (Tom) Eden of
Vienna; three step-sons, Bobby R. (Janet)
Smitherman of Gastonia, N.C., Michael D.
(Karen) Smitherman of Wirtz, Va., and Joseph
Mark (Kelta) Smitherman of Belleville; 21
grandchilden; a host of great and great-great-
grandchildren; and one sister, Garnet Clark of
Belpre. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her first husband,
Clarence Brandt; her second husband, Earl
Raymond Smitherman; two grandchildren; and two
sisters, Dorothy Sams and Marie Holcomb.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.,
Thursday, July 10, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
5th Street, Parkersburg. The visitation will
be from 1-7 p.m. today, and an hour prior to
the service on Thursday, July 10, at the
funeral home.
