Glen Ash
Mineral Wells, WV

Glen Ash, 75, a longtime resident of the Eagle
Pointe Nursing Facility, formerly of Mineral
Wells, passed away Dec. 19, 2014.

He was born on Nov. 12, 1939, in Tyler County
a son of the late Dale B. and Lula C. Parker
Ash.

Glen had attended Doddridge County High
School, was a member of Big Tygart United
Methodist Church and had retired from Walker
Parkersburg. He was a member of Mt. Olivet
Masonic Lodge 3, the York Rite and the
Jerusalem Chapter 3 of R.A.M.

Surviving are two sons, Bryan (Pamela) Ash of
Barlow, Ohio, and Forrest Ash of Mineral
Wells; one daughter, Christy Ash of
Youngstown, Ohio; four grandchildren, Robyn
Snodgrass, Aaron Ash, Brent Ash and Brad Ash;
two great grandchildren, Bailee Snodgrass and
Cesar Alexander Huddy; one brother, Lester Ash
in Michigan; one sister, Betty Jenkins of New
Cumberland, W.Va.; and several nieces and
nephews.

He is also survived by his close friends, many
of whom visited him weekly and daily at the
nursing home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Barbara Jean Ash in 1996;
three brothers, Vance Ash, Dale Ash Jr. and
Ray Ash; and two sisters, Virginia Ash and
Helen Ganger.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at
Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St. Parkersburg.
Pastor Lloyd Winans will officiate and burial
will follow at Stephens Cemetery at Mineral
Wells. The visitation will also be on Tuesday
from 11 a.m. until service time.

Lucille Virginia Amos
Parkersburg, WV

Lucille Virginia Amos passed away on Dec. 15,
2014, at the age of 99, at the Willows Center.

She was born in Akron, Ohio, on Oct. 22, 1915,
a daughter of the late Russell L. and Ethel
Marie Hardman Willis.

Lucille was a member of Edgelawn United
Methodist Church for over 65 years, where she
was a member of Circle 1. She was a bookkeeper
at Empire Laundry and Dry Cleaning for 26
years, and the Wood County Library for 21
years. Upon her retirement, she volunteered at
Consumer Credit Counseling for a number of
years. She was a member of the Retired Senior
Volunteer Program and won the President's Call
to Service Award. She was also a member of the
Gihon CEOS.

She is survived by her children, John R.
(Joan) Amos of Midland, Mich., Suzanne Marie
(Bud) Minner of Rockport, W.Va., and Frederick
S. (Nancy) Amos of Parkersburg. In addition,
she is survived by her grandchildren, Aaron
(Gay) Amos, Nathan (Ruth) Amos, Daryl Poprave,
Jeffrey (Sandra) Minner, Gregory (Rita)
Minner, Annette (Tom) Bentley, Christina
(Dennis) Herron, and David (Jill) Amos. She is
also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Kermit C. Amos in
1974; and a sister, Blanche Maglione of
Arizona.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday,
Dec. 19, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg, with Pastor Danny McVey
officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen
North Cemetery. The visitation will be 2-4
p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the
funeral home.

Mildred Margaret Stapleton
Walker, WV

Mildred Margaret Stapleton, 90, of Walker,
W.Va., passed away Dec. 14, 2014, at the Eagle
Pointe Nursing Home.

She was born on June 19, 1924, at Warehouse
Point, Conn., a daughter of the late Herbert
and Amelia Norris Clark.

She was a member of the Catholic Church in St.
Marys, W.Va., and had been a factory worker.

She is survived by one daughter, Floreen
(John) Navaroli of Warehouse Point, Conn.;
five grandchildren, Angel Kiss, Steven Kiss,
Donald J. Reno, Chris M. Sims and Joby D.
Sims; three great-grandchildren, Sabrina Sims,
Jocie Sims and Diamond Kiss; one great-
granddaughter, Sarayah Brighwell; two
brothers, Richard Clark and Jim Clark, both of
Windsor Locks, Conn.; and several nieces and
nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband, Floyd Stapleton; two
daughters, Harriett Reno and Diana Sims; and
two brothers, Herbert Clark and George Clark.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday,
Dec. 18, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St.,
Parkersburg. Deacon Doug Deem will officiate
and burial will follow at Evergreen South
Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the funeral home.

Jonathon Scott Pryor
Parkersburg, WV

Jonathan Scott Pryor, 59, of Parkersburg,
passed away Dec. 12, 2014, at his home.

He was born on Dec. 31, 1954, in Parkersburg,
a son of the late Delbert Pryor and Mary
Louise Dearth Pryor Lyne. He was the step-son
of John Carlton Lyne of Belmont.

Jonathan was a Catholic, however, he had
attended the 1st Baptist Church of St. Marys
and also the Porterfield Baptist Church. He
retired from the United States Air Force. He
enjoyed fishing and participated in Bass
Tournaments in Alabama.

In addition to his step-father, he is survived
by his wife, Debora Taylor Pryor; one son,
Jeffery Scott Pryor of Florida; one daughter,
Ashley Marie Pryor of Virginia; one step-son,
Jason (Kimberly) Cade of Vincent, Ohio; two
step-daughters, Jessica (Brandon) Gregory of
St. Marys, and Heather (Harvey) Felton of Fly,
Ohio; two grandchildren, Joshua Pryor in
Florida, and Rylan Pollard in Michigan; five
step-grandchildren; three brothers, Steve
Pryor of Clearwater, Fla., Jay "Rick" Pryor in
Alabama, and Roger Pryor of St. Augustine,
Fla.; and one sister, Lynn Garber of
Parkersburg. Also surviving is a step-brother
and two step-sisters; his uncle, Murph Pryor;
and friend, Dorothy Lemon, both of New
Matamoras, Ohio.

It was Jonathan's request to be cremated. A
graveside memorial service will be held at a
later date at the convenience of the family.

Kimes Funeral Home and Cremation Services of
Parkersburg is assisting the family.

William Henry Patterson
Belpre, OH

William Henry Patterson Jr., 63, of Belpre,
passed away Dec. 10, 2014, at Camden Clark
Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Parkersburg, a
son of the late William H. Patterson Sr. and
Velcie June Fuller Zegrea Lowers.

William had been employed last with The
Invironmental Drilling Company.

Surviving is his daughter, Caitlin (Brodi
Elder) Patterson of Parkersburg; his grandson,
Cole Cottrille; and two sisters, Zoeitsa
Zegrea of Williamstown, and Annie Dunn of
Mineral Wells. Also surviving is a cousin and
close friend, Wayne Crouser; and his
significant other and caregiver, Cheryl Clark.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.,
Saturday, Dec. 13, at Kimes Funeral Home, 521
5th Street, Parkersburg. Evangelist Elvis
Galbreath will officiate and burial will
follow at the Rockland Cemetery. The
visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
