Betty Lue Cutlip
Betty Lue Cutlip, age 58 of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, September 19, 2011 at her home under the care of St. Josephs Hospice. She was born February 22, 1953 in Pickens, WV, a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Bender Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Alysha Williams. She is survived by four daughters, Misty Greene and husband Jamie of Buckhannon, Penny Cutlip of Buckhannon, Tracy Cutlip and Chad Thornton of Moundsville, WV and Elizabeth Williams and husband Kevin of Ellamore, WV; one son, William Hoover and wife Crystal of WI; five granddaughters, Brittany Kelley, Alexis Greene, Tori Smallridge and Miranda Greene, all of Buckhannon and Dixie Hoover of WI; three grandsons, Daniel Powell, II of Buckhannon, Tommy Williams of Ellamore and Brody Thornton of Moundsville; five brothers; five sisters and a large extended family. Mrs. Cutlip was a phone sales agent and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Buckhannon. Friends will be received from 69 PM, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickens Cemetery in Pickens. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Richard Rick Campbell
Charles Richard Rick Campbell, age 63, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at St. Anthonys Hospital in St. Louis, MO., a son of the late Dr. Charles and Elsie Knutson Campbell. He was born at St. Lukes Hospital in Mercer County, WV on December 21, 1948. He is survived by one son, Chadwick Carney Campbell; one daughter, Whitney Evan Campbell and Rob Paquett; two grandsons, Jaden Paquett and Carson Campbell all of St. Louis; one sister, Karla Hyman and Bill of Buckhannon, WV and one great niece, Haven Savannah Smith-Hyman of Buckhannon. Rick was a graduate of Charleston High School and attended WV State University. He was a member of the WV National Guard, a volunteer fire fighter in the 1970s and a was a long haul coast to coast truck driver for 30 years. He was a lifelong Episcopalian and active staff member of Food For The Journey food pantry. He volunteered many hours of service fund raising for Hands and Hearts For Christ Surgical Mission Team. Rick was a recipient of a heart transplant in 2003. His family and friends are grateful for the 8 years of life he was given by the donor, the donors family and the Cleveland Clinic transplant team. Friends will be received from 9-11 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Buckhannon. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the church with Father John Valentine. Burial will follow in the Cunningham Memorial Gardens in St. Albans, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dusty E. Caputo
Dusty E. Caputo, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born June 30, 1942 in Glendale, CA, a son of the late Edward Caputo and Lucille Emeline Pethel. On July 6, 1964 Dusty married Kil Cha Choe who preceded him in death on January 9, 1975. On March 23, 1975 he married Carolyn S. Wilfong who preceded him in death on November 17, 2006. He is survived by two daughters, Kil Choe Caputo Wikstrom of Prior Lake, MN and Carol Elizabeth Britt of Federal Way, WA; three sons, Carl Lee Caputo of Ukiah, CA, Bill Cody Caputo of Corry, PA and Larry James Caputo of Federal Way, WA; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Dusty proudly served twenty years in the U. S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran awarded The Purple Heart. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM, Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Monday, January 30, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Poling officiating. Burial will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mona C. Crabtree
Mona C. Crabtree, age 85 of Sunbury, Ohio and formerly of Braxton County, West Virginia passed away Thursday morning, February 9, 2012 at Country View of Sunbury. Born on August 20, 1926 in Braxton County, WV to the late Clark and Zula (Holden) Sponaugle, she had formerly resided in Florida and Ohio. For 32 years, she worked with Packaging Corporation of America in Rittman, Ohio. When able she attended the Genoa Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing and crafts. She is survived by devoted daughter: Martha Neil (friend Robert Skeens) of Galena, Ohio, granddaughter: Amanda (Brandon) Valandingham of Dayton, OH, great-grandchildren: Brianna, Kelsey, Katelynn, brother Willard Sponaugle, sisters Mamie Tenney, Ruth Sutherland, and Delfia Nickerson. She was preceded in death by brothers: Troy, Leonard, Maynard, James, and Bradford Sponaugle as well as sister: Lorain Caliendo. Friends may call one hour prior to the Monday 2:00 p.m. funeral services at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, 95 S. Kanawha St., Buckhannon, W.V., burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery. Ohio arrangements entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury, Ohio. Ione Conolley
Ione Conolley, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born December 7, 1928 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Russell Wade and Mabel Martha Hinkle Jackson. On August 14, 1947 she married Silas Sylvester Conolley who preceded her in death on March 10, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Timothy Echtinaw and John Steven Hawn; two granddaughters, Suzy and Jill McAtee and one brother, Russell Wade Jackson. She is survived by two sons, John Conolley of Orlando, FL and David Conolley and wife Judy of Buckhannon; seven daughters, Ann Marie Conolley, sfo of Clarksburg, WV, Mary Calton and husband Larry of Indianapolis, IN., Carol Hess of Buckhannon, Edna Sanderson and husband Bill of Orlando, Barbara McAtee of Buckhannon, Donna Conolley of Orange City, FL and Martha Conolley of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Russell Hawn of Indianapolis, Dustin Hawn of VanWert, OH, Greg Echtinaw of Fayetteville, TN and Mason Conolley of Buckhannon; seven granddaughters, Roxie Bortner of Indianapolis, Hope Conolley of Orange City, Amber Miller of Indianapolis, Heather Conolley of Orange City, Marjorie McAtee of Buckhannon, Kimberly McQueen and Kathy Calton, both of Indianapolis; eighteen great grandchildren; two brothers, James Jackson and Darrell Lee Jackson, both of Middletown, OH and one sister, Louise Armstrong of Middletown. Mrs. Conolley was a homemaker and quilter. She was a member of Mountain Artisans, Applachian Craftsman and the Hearts and Hands Quilt Group. As a member of You Sew and Sew group of Mountain Artisans, she worked on a quilt which now hangs in the Smithsonian Instutite. She worked with 4-H and organized the Happy Hallites 4-H Club, and danced with her husband in the Circle 8 Square Dance Group. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church for sixty years, where she was a long-time member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Friends will be received from 5-8 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with Rosary Service at 6 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Friday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Ron Nikodem, S. M. as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Beulah Mae Curtis
Beulah Mae Curtis, age 103, of Buckhannon, WV departed this earthly life and entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1908 in Red Rock, WV, a daughter of the late Harley B. and Rosa Douglas Clark. On April 1, 1934 she married Forrest L. (Punjab) Curtis, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1982. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one great grandson and one sister, Irena Thomas. She is survived by one son, Randy Curtis and wife Chris of Nitro, WV; one daughter, Anna Lee Curtis Talbott and husband Richard of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Lea Ann Rohr and husband Richard of Turkey Run Road, WV, Kim Denham and husband Brian of Kings Mountain, NC, Melanie and Betsy Talbott both of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Tim Murphy and wife Angie of Barrickville, WV and Aaron Gordon and wife Darice of Surveyor, WV; seven great grandchildren and one sister, Alma Flannigan of Clarksburg, WV. Beulah was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She was a lifelong member of the Lorentz United Methodist Church and was a member of the Lorentz CEOS for over fifty years. On her 100th Birthday she was proclaimed an official member of the order of the 35th Star by Governor Joe Manchin, III. She was a loving mother and a compassionate and giving person to all. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 6-8 PM. A celebration of Beulahs long and blessed life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the Lorentz Cemetery. Wanda Rae Carrico
Wanda Rae Carrico, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV the Hodgesville community, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born December 9, 1933 in Hodgesville, WV a daughter of the late Brennie C. and Jennie L. Miller Karickhoff. On March 31, 2002 she was preceded in death by her husband Medford Lee Carrico whom she married February 11, 1954. Also preceding her in death, one granddaughter, Rosetta Anne Carrico; two brothers Richard and Gerald Karickhoff; one sister Mildred Jean Karickhoff. She is survived by three sons Jim Carrico and wife Anne of Clarksburg, WV, Joe Carrico and wife Debbie of Buckhannon and Randy Carrico and wife Alesa of Buckhannon; two grandsons Aaron James Carrico of Clarksburg and Andrew Joseph Carrico of Buckhannon; Six granddaughters Andrea Leigh Carrico of Hurricane, WV, Dorian Rachelle Carrico of Buckhannon, Jennifer Elizabeth Anne Carrico of Clarksburg, Tasha Colleen Carrico of Buckhannon, Julie Lynne Carrico of Clarksburg and Hannah Rae Carrico of Buckhannon; two brothers Donald Tobe Karickhoff of Buckhannon and Gene Karickhoff of Volga, WV; and one sister Linda Post of Buckhannon. Wanda was a former billing clerk at Gaston Grocery. Friends will be received Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 3-5 PM and 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edwards McDaniels and the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Randall C. Courtney
Randall C. Courtney, age 58, of Frenchton, WV died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born April 20, 1953 in Buckhannon, WV a son of the late Charles W. and Laura Irene DeMastes Courtney. On July 6, 1991 he married Karis Beer who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Melissa Smith and husband Paul of Buckhannon and Shayla Courtney of Frenchton; two sons, Micheal Courtney of Morgantown and Seth Courtney of Frenchton; one step son, Christopher Carlyle and wife Tracy of French Creek, WV; one granddaughter, Courtney Smith of Buckhannon; one step granddaughter, Autumn Shroyer of French Creek; one step grandson, Corbin Shroyer of French Creek; three sisters, Betty Malcolm and husband John of French Creek, Dee Nazelrod and husband Bennie and Ann Stewart all of Buckhannon and three brothers, Dick DeMastes and wife Jane of French Creek, Charles Courtney and wife Beatrice and Gary Courtney all of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles. Mr. Courtney was a Supervisor for DOH and also a member of the Adrian Fire Dept. He will be missed by several friends, coworkers and fellow volunteer fireman. Friends will be received Friday, April 20, 2012 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jesse officiating. Joyce Martin Corathers
Joyce Martin Corathers, daughter of the late Theodore L. Martin, Sr. and Ocie Hoover Martin. Born January 22, 1928, in Buckhannon, WV. Survived by two daughters, Cathy Corathers and her husband Dr. Joseph Bundy, of Morgantown (and their family) and Jane Corathers and husband Walt Shupe of Buckhannon; two grandchildren, Samantha Adamson, a student at University of Virginia, and Lee Adamson employed by Future Generations and her companion of many years, Charles R. Shaffer. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, George D. Corathers; her brother, Ted Martin, Jr.; and her sister, Judy Martin. Graveside rites will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Upshur Co. Memorial Park in Buckhannon with the Rev. Stephen Meadows officiating. No viewing or service at funeral home. Ricky Steven Crites
Ricky Steven Crites, age 53, of South Fayette Twp., PA formerly of Buckhannon, WV, died unexpectedly on April 27, 2012. He was born on March 26, 1959 in Buckhannon, WV. A son of Joyce and the late Frank Crites. Beloved husband for 21 years of Debora Milburn, loving father of R.J. (Katrina) Crites of Buckhannon, WV, Lauren Milburn Crites and Eric Milburn, both of South Fayette Twp., PA, brother of Susie (Lynn) Miller of Buckhannon, WV, brother-in-law of Dana (Dr. David Brauer) Milburn of Arlington, VA, uncle of Lindsay Weaver, Benjamin and Evan Brauer and the late Michael Weaver, son-in-law of Dr. David and DeeAnna Milburn, grandson of the late Lester and Gaytha Crites and the late James and Opal Taylor. A 1985 graduate of WVU, Ricky was currently employed as director of accounting for Equitable Resources (EQT), for 32 years. A loving father who was very involved in coaching his childrens teams through the years. Friends will be received Tuesday, 3-5 & 7-9 PM, at the Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home, Inc., 95 S. Kanawha St., Buckhannon, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM, with Pastor Jeff Zickefoose officiating. Graci Lee Cutright
Graci Lee Cutright, infant daughter of Stephen Cutright and Natasha Vest Suder of Rock Cave, WV, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the St. Josephs Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born May 15, 2012 in Weston, WV. In addition to her parents she survived by one brother, Aden Suder of Rock Cave; five sisters, Tabitha Cutright of Glen Burnie, MD, Megan Cutright of Etters, PA, Makenzi Cutright and Jaden and Makayla Suder all of Rock Cave; maternal grandmother, Sandra Vest of Buckhannon; maternal grandfather, Kenny Vest and wife Debbie of Coalton, WV; paternal grandmother, Joyce Gill of Buckhannon; and paternal grandfather, Paul Cutright and wife Kathy of Buckhannon. She was preceded in death by one brother Mason Cutright. Friends will be received from 10-11 AM on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery in Hemlock, WV. Clyde Edward Cutright
Clyde Edward Cutright, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Louis A. Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born July 28, 1935 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Cecil and Maude C. Manley Cutright. On September 7, 1956 he married Marian Lois Mundy who preceded him in death on May 15, 2011. He is survived by one daughter, Shelly Bennett and husband Jeffery of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Megyn Warner and husband Kenneth of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Edward Squires and fianc, Savhannah Pyle of Century, WV, Joseph, , Kameron and Ethan Bevans, all of Buckhannon; two great grandsons, Wyatt E. and Maximus K. Squires, both of Century, WV and one sister, Willavene L. Fitzgerald and husband Donald of Buckhannon. Mr. Cutright was the owner of Cutright Transfer and Movers. He was a Christian by faith. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW, LOOM and the NRA. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed long rides, loved his family and will be greatly missed. Friends will be received Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. The Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
