Jimmie Dezarn
Jimmie Dezarn, age 72, of Tallmansville, WV died Monday, November 24, 2014 at his home while under the care of St. Josephs Hospice after a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1942 in Glen Rogers, WV, a son of the late Thomas and Fannie Bishop Dezarn. On June 22, 1962 he married Josephine Judy Fisher who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jonathan Dezarn and wife Roberta of Stephens City, VA and Thomas Dezarn and wife Rhoda of Queens, WV; two daughters, Jennifer Dezarn of Marietta, OH and Julia Jobber and husband Scott of Fairfield, VT; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Dezarn and wife Rose of Winchester, VA and one sister, Betty Duncan and husband Sidney of Cumberland, MD. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Cassie Painter. Mr. Dezarn was a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church and the Buckhannon Moose Lodge #598 and a retired Supervisor. Jimmie was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid and loyal Washington Redskins fan. Friends will be received Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. On Monday, December 1, 2014 Mr. Dezarn will Lie In State at the Sand Run Baptist Church in Excelsior, WV from 11-12PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery in Queens, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Lou Dowell
Mary Lou Dowell, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, April 3, 2015 at her home. She was born August 19, 1929 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Forman Clay and Clara Lucille Westfall Queen. On December 21, 1947 she married Roy Keith Dowell who preceded her in death on January 5, 2006. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dawn Queen and Nancy Darling. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Dattilo of Fairfax, VA and Janet Sue Howes and husband David of Eagle Rock, VA; one son, Jonathan Keith Dowell and wife Idella of Buckhannon; seven granddaughters, Keitha Dattilo-Bain of Melbourne, FL, Victoria Forrest of Winchester, VA, Sharonna and Mary Dattilo both of Fairfax, Holly Hitt and husband Shane and Addie Landis and husband Charles all of Buckhannon and Erin Beavers and husband A.J. of Amherst, VA; two grandsons, Jason Dowell of Buckhannon and Chad Howes of Eagle Rock; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Queen and wife Loretta of Grafton, WV and Basil Queen and wife Mary Ann of Louisville, KY and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dowell was a homemaker. She was a former employee at G.C. Murphys and she attended the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Ellen Finegan and the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery at Hodgesville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Russel D. Deuley
Russel D. Deuley, age 66, of Ellamore, WV died Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was born December 8, 1948 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Paul Russel and Velma Irene Griffith Deuley. On February 5, 1973 he married Diana J. Tenney who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Andrea Wilson and husband Shannon of Weston, WV; one son, Hank Groves of Ellamore, WV; one granddaughter, Harlie Wilson of Weston; five grandsons, Tyler, Logan and Nicholas Groves all of Ellamore and Zeke and Daimon Wilson both of Weston; four sisters, Pauline Wilfong, Opal Ilene Clouse, Brenda Mae Swinney and Judy Kathleen Deuley; four brothers, Denver Alan, Ervin Mitchell, Ronald Dwayne and David Lee Deuley and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Anita Lynn Landis and two brothers, Roger Dale and Kevin Paul Deuley. Russel was the Head Sawyer for Ed Arey & Sons. He was a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Conley Ogden officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Vegan, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Kimberly Ann DeBarr
Kimberly Ann DeBarr, age 44, of Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. She was born May 13, 1971 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of Norma J. Woofter DeBarr of Wheeling and the late Willie Nelson DeBarr. In addition to her mother she is survived by her fianc, Raymond Doyle of Martins Ferry; one son, Nolan Doyle of Martins Ferry; one daughter, Patience Doyle of Martins Ferry; two brothers, Nelson and Wilbert DeBarr both of Wheeling; two sisters, Janice Queen of Wheeling and Carrie Headley of Niles, OH and several nieces and nephews. Kimberly was a homemaker. Friends will be received Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 11 AM- 12 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 12 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Edward Miles Davidson
Edward Miles Davidson, of 106 Buckhannon Manor, passed away on January 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his wife Judith E. McLaughlin Davidson whom he married on February 16, 1972 and a friend and neighbor Lucille Cutright was also there. He was born on November 8, 1947 in Kanawha Head, WV, a son of the late Virgil and Brennice Helmick Davidson. In addition to his wife he is survived by four sisters, Betty Pitcock and Helen Samples both of Buckhannon, Louise Hull of Rock Cave, WV and Opal Cunningham of Bridgeport, WV; two brothers, James (Jim) Davidson and wife Patricia of Salem, WV and Gerald Ross (Jerry) Davidson of Thornton, CO and several nieces and nephews. Edward had lots of friends at the Buckhannon Manor, the friends are too many to name, and they know who they are. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Gray Pugh. The family would like to thank the Barbour County EMS for transporting Mr. Davidson to and from his Dr. appointments, the care givers from Senior Center, also thank you to Charles Butcher for being there when he was needed. Friends will be received Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dannilyne Cherish Dulyea
Dannilyne Cherish Dulyea, infant daughter of Danny Dulyea Jr. and Breann Freeman both of Weston, WV, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the St. Josephs Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. In addition to her parents she is survived by three brothers, Danny Dulyea III of Berkeley County, WV, Jonavon Sinoes of Warrington, VA and Patrick Dulyea of Weston; four sisters, Jada Holmes and Izabella and Danika Dulyea all of Weston and Kayla Knipper of Berkeley County; paternal grandfather, Dan Dulyea Sr. and wife Lori of Berkeley County; paternal grandmother Loretta Rogers of Berkeley County and maternal grandparents, Carl and Connie Freeman of Jane Lew, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ryan Patrick Davis
Ryan Patrick Davis, age 35, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, February 16, 2016. He was born June 16, 1980 in Buckhannon, a son of Kenneth Ray and Belinda Cogar Davis both of Buckhannon. On May 28, 2011 he married Daphne Tenney who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ryan Hunter and John Ryder Davis both of Buckhannon; two daughters, Taylor Madison and Lyndsey Morgan Black both of Buckhannon; two brothers, Kenneth A. Davis and wife Wendie and Eric Davis all of Buckhannon; two sisters, Amanda Hamrick and Amanda Posey both of Buckhannon; paternal grandfather, Art Davis of Medina, OH and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his paternal grandmother, Helen Davis and maternal grandparents, Harry and Naomi Cogar. Ryan was a Land Surveyor for A-TECH Land Survey and loved to hunt. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Linda Carol Denny
Linda Carol Denny, age 64, of Greenwood, MS died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. She was born June 22, 1942 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Edward Johnson and Frances Stahl Hall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Gregory Hall. She is survived by one sister, Mary-Anne Hall and husband Leland M. Whaley of Woodstock, GA; one son, Steven Denny; one grandson, Shawn Denny and one aunt, Janet McConnell of Lorton, VA. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Sidney Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

James J. Davis
James J. Davis, age 66, of Brooksville, FL and formerly of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, February 19, 2007 in Brooksville. He was born July 7, 1940 in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Hugh and Ruby J. Chapman Davis. On July 18, 1960 he married Viola Vi Shipman who survives. Also surviving is one son, Scott L. Davis of Buckhannon; one daughter, Linda A. Stocks and husband Lanny of Klamath Falls, OR; three grandsons, Bradley Davis of Buckhannon, Dana Conway of French Creek, WV and Christopher Davis of Spring Hill, FL; three granddaughters, Roxann Fultineer of Buckhannon, Tabatha Davis of Buckhannon and Rebecca Davis of Clarksburg, WV; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard H. Davis of Morgantown, WV; cousin, Bobby Hall of Clarksburg, WV; best friend, Sammy and sister in law, Naomi Morris and husband Valldeen of Fairmont. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, James J. Davis, II; one brother, Harry B. Davis and friends, Dr. Bob and Bill W. Mr. Davis was a Conservation Officer for the state of West Virginia. He served with the US Marine Corps for eleven years and served two tours in Vietnam. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Poling officiating. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & 36 will conduct Military Honors. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Josephs Hospice. Jennings P. Dodrill
Jennings P. Dodrill, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at his home. He was born November 20, 1931 in Webster Springs, WV, a son of the late Jennings B. and Nettie Hamrick Dodrill. On October 17, 1954 he married Anna Lynch who survives. Also surviving are one son, Jennings Robert Dodrill and Fiance Belinda Humpal of Pocahontas, IA; one daughter, Barbara Ann Dodrill and Fiance Christopher Cocoma of Pocahontas; one brother, Eugene Dodrill of Long Branch, NJ; one sister, Madeline Papikas of Long Branch; one half sister, Patie Dodrill; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Bob and Carol Workman of Buckhannon, Edward and Kathy Dickerson of Neptune, NJ and Steve and Tina Meckes of PA; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Dodrill was a Warehouse Manager for Schwans Fine Foods. He was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598. Friends will be received Sunday, January 14, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park at Tennerton, WV. Following the services the family and friends will gather at the Kesling Mill Community Building for a meal and fellowship. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Katherine Dennison
Mary Katherine Dennison, age 82, of Worthington, WV died Friday, December 22, 2006 at Woodland Assisted Living in Worthington. She was born December 29, 1923 in Buckhannon, WV a daughter of the late John R. and Versie M. Huffman Courtney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Dennison is survived by three daughters, Tammy Westfall and husband Steve of Fairmont, WV, Sharon Oldaker and husband Danny of Buckhannon and Linda Shaffer of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Stephanie Muller of Fairmont, Kaitlyn Westfall of Fairmont and Sherri Beckner of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Justin Oldaker of Buckhannon, Russell Nestor of Buckhannon and Michael Shaffer of Colorado; three great granddaughters, Meghan and Meredith Muller, both of Fairmont and Emily Nestor of Buckhannon; one great grandson, Joshua Beckner of Buckhannon; one brother, John Courtney of Buckhannon and two sisters, Patricia Anderson and Jean Lowe, both of Maryland. Mrs. Dennison was a caregiver and a Baptist by faith. Friends will be received from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Beryl McKisic officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. James Ray Denton
James Ray Denton, age 49, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at his home while under the care of St. Josephs Hospice. He was born January 29, 1957 in Marion, OH, a son of James Earl Denton of Hartford, MI and the late Charlotte Louise Blevins Denton. In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, Kelly Kudia of MI; two sisters, Cheryl Sue Hacker of Buckhannon and Kathy Peapples of MI; six brothers, Michael Denton of NY, Kevin, Mathew and Jeffrey Denton, all of MI, Eric Denton of Buckhannon and Scott Denton of VA and special love, Dolly Peck and children Camden and Brittany of Buckhannon. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Denton. Mr. Denton was a painter. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Ann Day
Mary Ann Day, age 58, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at her home in Buckhannon. She was born October 26, 1948 in Park Rapids, MN, a daughter of Wallace and Lila Robins Cooper who survive in Washington State. On June 5, 1965 she married Ferrel R. Day who survives. In addition to her parents and husband she is survived by one son, Darrel Lee Day and wife Heather of Buckhannon; three daughters, Carla DeBarr and husband Roger, Brenda Kay Canter and husband Dennis and Christina Day all of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Allen DeBarr, Wade Day, Cole Day and Trenton Oldaker all of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Jessica DeBarr of Buckhannon; one brother, Gary Cooper of Washington and one sister, Arlene Martiniez of Washington. Mrs. Day was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Cooper. She was a homemaker. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Stackpole officiating. Burial will follow in the Day Family Cemetery at Swamp Run, WV. Basel Blair DeBarr
Basel Blair DeBarr, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at his home. He was born May 19, 1920 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Ira and Orla Linger DeBarr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Blaine DeBarr. He is survived by one sister, Reta D. Long; two nephews, James Long and wife Sharon of Coatesville, PA and Rolland Long and wife Lisa of Hampton, VA; several great nieces and a great nephew. Mr. DeBarr was a social worker for the DHHR. He graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1940, served in the U. S. Army from 1942-1946 and graduated from A-B College in 1949. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion and Pringle Tree Chapter #5 DAV. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday, November 24, 2006 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard McGuire and the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV. VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7, American Legion and DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
