Perry Gene Rager
Perry Gene Rager, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at his home. He was born February 21, 1928 in Manown, WV, a son of the late Denzil L. and Ethel P. Wolfe Rager. On February 28, 1967 he married Eloise Goldsborough who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joseph G. Rager of Buckhannon and Tony Dean Rager and wife Lisa of Elkview, WV; three daughters, Karen Smith and husband Vern of Reedsville, WV, Roxanne Fury of Edinburg, VA and Cynthia Jo Perrine of Edinburg, VA; two sisters, Joan Hartsell of Coushatta, LA and Lorelie Dawn Casteel of Baltimore, MD; seventeen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and John Rager and one sister, Arlene Mayle. Mr. Rager was a coal miner, an avid hunter and also loved camping. Mr. Rager will be cremated and there will be no services. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Oleta Fuller
Oleta Fuller, age 92, of French Creek, WV died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. She was born April 20, 1917 in Browntown, WV, a daughter of the late Roy and Bernice Clevenger Goff. On September 16, 1933 she married Ronald L. Fuller who preceded her in death on July 3, 1995. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Oleta Fuller; three brothers, William B.Goff, Othie Montgomery Goff and Robert Goff and one sister, Juanita Parsons. She is survived by one daughter, Loretta Shockey and husband Donald of French Creek with whom she resided; one son, Archie Sonny Fuller and wife Carrie of Smithville, OH; five granddaughters, Carrie L. Shockey of French Creek, Tammie J. Shockey of Cape Coral, FL, Tonnya K. Lowther and husband Rev. Edward of Buckhannon, WV, Kimberly D. Fuller of Columbus, OH and Dionne Andrews of French Creek; one grandson, Ronald L. Fuller and wife Beth of Marshallville, OH; two great-granddaughters, Brandi and Shalayna J. Lowther both of Buckhannon and three great-grandsons, Abram, Solomon and Joseph Fuller all of Marshallville. Mrs. Fuller was a homemaker and a member of the Wayside Southern Baptist Church. Friends will be received Monday, July 27, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bobby Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park at Tennerton, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Joyce Ann Fultineer
Joyce Ann Fultineer, age 60, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, January 4, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. She was born September 16, 1949 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Russell and Fannie Riffle Robinson. On December 24, 1969 she married James Fultineer who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Melissa Sapp and husband Darrell of Winston Salem; one son, James Jimmy Fultineer, Jr. of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Sarah Sapp of Winston Salem; one grandson, Joshua Sapp of Winston Salem; three brothers, Rick Robinson, David Robinson and wife Diane and Rusty Robinson and wife Sharon all of Buckhannon and one sister, Barbara Nelson of Buckhannon. Mrs. Fultineer was a Supply System Analyst for the USPFO. She was a member of the Buckhannon Ladies of the Moose Lodge # 598, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary # 4357, the Hodgesville CEOs and a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 4-7 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 6 PM by the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary # 4357. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mona Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family c/o Delmas Ware PO Box 294 Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Harvey R. Sarge Fowler, Jr.
Harvey R. Sarge Fowler, Jr., age 77, of Rock Cave, WV died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born January 4, 1933 in Boone County, WV, a son of the late Harvey Ray and Mattie Shamle Fowler. On October 5, 1967 he married Darlene Sothen who preceded him in death on March 5, 2005. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sisters, Imagene Fowler and Virginia Mays and three brothers, Adarl, David and Clyde Fowler. He is survived by one son, Michael K. McIe of Rock Cave, WV; one granddaughter, Ana McIe of Madison, WV; five sisters, Ruth Holiday, Shirley Jones and Francis Mercure all of OH; Hilda Jones of FL and Thelma Neal of Canada and five brothers, Roy Fowler of AL, Dewey Fowler of FL, Roger Fowler of OH, Tom Fowler of GA and Eugene Fowler of WV. Mr. Fowler was a member of the NRA. He served in the US Army as a Sargent during the Korean War as a sniper. He was a member of the United Auto Workers. A member of the Rock Cave Baptist Church and a Crane Operator for Ford Motor Company. Friends will be received Monday, January 11, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor David Jesse officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery at Kanawha Head, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion and DAV Chapters # 5 & 36 will conduct military honors at the gravesite. Jamie Lynn Farnsworth
Jamie Lynn Farnsworth, age 30, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born June 3, 1979 in Buckhannon, a son of Ed Farnsworth of Buckhannon and the late Loretta Sue Casto Farnsworth. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Shane and Scotty Lynn Farnsworth. In addition to his father he is survived by one son, Haven Shane Farnsworth of Buckhannon; one daughter, Somara Jalynn Farnsworth of Buckhannon; one brother, Eddy Shawn Farnsworth of Buckhannon; three nephews, Shawn Taylor Farnsworth of Elkins, WV, Logan Shane and Austin Douglas Farnsworth both of Buckhannon; one sister in law, Shelley Allman of Buckhannon and also several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jamie worked as a dereck hand on the oil and gas rigs. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 4-9 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Kesling Cemetery at Kesling Mill, WV. Isabelle Musgrave Mackey
Isabelle Musgrave Mackey, age 90 joined her beloved husband Wilbert and son William, in their heavenly home on May 19, 2010 in Newport Beach, California. Isabelle leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter Patricia Prutsok and devoted son-in-law Dr. Leonard Prutsok of Santa Ana, California, 6 grandchildren; Deanna, Cheryl, Paula Jo, Suzette, Steven all of California and Patsy of Virginia, 10 great-grandchildren; Hayden, Matthew, Taylor, Rosabella, Adrianna, Lola, Colin, Bradley, Dylan and Blake. Also a sister, Mildred Poole of South Carolina. Isabelle lived each and every day as a devoted Christian. She was a loving, hard working woman who will be deeply missed by many. Isabelle enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and rooting for the Lakers! Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24th at 11am at Poling St. Clair Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

CLIFFORD DALE FRANCIS
Clifford Dale Francis, age 92, of Fairfax City, VA passed away at home on March 12, 2010. He was born July 27, 1917 in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Don Raymond and Nora Elizabeth (Strader) Francis. He is survived by his son, Clifford Larry Francis of Broad Run, Fauquier County, VA; his daughter, June Kuprijanow of Springfield, Fairfax County, VA; two sisters, Garnet Trent of Proctorville, Ohio and Hilda Howell of Grafton, Ohio; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 65 years, Ruth Queen Francis, and his second wife of 5 years, Mary Bode Goddard Francis. Mr. Francis joined the Federal Government in Washington, DC, in 1941 and sought an accounting degree at George Washington University. He retired as a Federal Auditor from the Department of Education after 30 years service. He was a World War II veteran and ran for Congress in West Virginia on the Republican ticket in 1950. He was a member of the Reger Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Everly Funeral Home, Fairfax, VA on March 16, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral will be held on March 18, 2010 at the Reger Chapel Methodist Church, Brushy Fork, Buckhannon, WV at 11:00 A.M. with viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contribution to your favorite charity or to the Reger Chapel Methodist Church is suggested.

Donald Albert Keffer
Donald Albert Keffer, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, May 11, 2015 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born January 1, 1935 in Marion Co., WV, a son of the late James and Virginia Layman Keffer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Miles and Donald Wade Keffer. Surviving are one daughter, Beth Ann Hill of Athens, OH; three grandsons, Joshua Bengamin Hill of Athens, Nathan Miles Keffer of Mason, WV and Zachary Wade Keffer of Albany, OH; three granddaughters, Brooke Emily and Morgan Ann Keffer both of Coolville, OH and Alexis Paige Keffer of Albany; one sister, Wanda Lucas of Baltimore, MD and two brothers, Ronald Keffer of Morgantown, WV and Thomas Keffer. Mr. Keffer was a construction contractor. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Barbara D. Koon
Barbara D. Koon, age 46, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Hospice Care In-Patient Center of Elkins, WV. She was born on January 6, 1963 a daughter of Donald and Mary Smith DeBarr. On August 28, 1983 she married John W. Koon who survives. In addition to her parents and husband she survived by two sons, Walter G. DeBarr and Jonathan K. Koon and wife Nikki all of Buckhannon; two daughters, Jainnie Koon, and Marie Koon both of Buckhannon; grandchildren Shaden and Skyler Debarr and Elijah Koon and one on the way; three brothers, Junior DeBarr and wife Nat and Roger DeBarr all of Buckhannon, and Randy DeBarr of Columbus, OH; two sisters Shirley Tenney and husband Rick and Debbie Hollen and husband Glenn all of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Koon was a secretary for Hinkle Glass and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Friends will be received Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6 to 9 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 12 to 1 PM the funeral hour with Bishop Cecil Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Union Church Cemetery. VFW Post #3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion and DAV Chapters #5 and #36 will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Tristin Joseph Poling
Tristin Joseph Poling, infant son of, Erica Susan Swiger and Herbert Joey Poling of Bridgeport, WV died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born December 16, 2014 in Bridgeport. Also surviving are two brothers, Dylan Shawn Swiger of Bridgeport and Keigan Joel Poling of Buckhannon, WV; one sister Kierra Jo Poling of Buckhannon; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Cathy Hinkle of Buckhannon; paternal grandparents, Archie and Renna Poling of Buckhannon; maternal great grandfather, Walter Hinkle of Replete, WV; maternal great grandmother Edna Bickel of Webster Springs, WV; Five aunts and uncles, Christina Boyles and husband David of Elkins, WV, Julie Alston and husband Alex of Charleston, WV and Judith Payne and husband Dave, Archie Poling Jr. and Jake Poling all of Buckhannon; one special cousin, Shanna Boyles of Elkins and six cousins. There will be a private service for the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House 841 Country Club Drive Morgantown, WV 26505. Hilda Mae Lee
Hilda Mae Lee, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born July 28, 1933 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Alva Harrison Smith and Reta Pearl Hyre Smith Hardesty. On October 7, 1950 she married Denzil Odell Lee who preceded her in death on January 9, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosaline Smith, Lucille Smith, Dorothy Weekly and Betty Watson and four brothers, Robert, James, Harold and Richard Smith. She is survived by one son, Denzil Lee and wife Linda of Buckhannon; one daughter, Shela Simmons of Buckhannon; six grandsons, Philip Simmons, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Bruce Wayne Lee of Clarksburg, WV, Justin Simmons, David Thomas Kincaid and Josh Simmons all of Buckhannon and Khori Simmons of PA; two granddaughters, Misty Dawn Corley and Talia Simmons both of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Christopher Day of Buckhannon; two great-granddaughters, Carlye Day and Jada Rayne Umble both of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, several great great nieces and nephews and several great great great nieces and nephews; special nieces, Connie Burr, Sharon Short and Virginia Booth all of Buckhannon and a special great great niece, Rachael Hanifan of Buckhannon. Mrs. Lee was a housewife. Friends will be received Monday, December 5, 2011 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery in Kanawha Head, WV. A meal will be provided at the Buckhannon Moose Lodge following the committal service. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Larry Ross Mathewson
Larry Ross Mathewson, age 65, of Medina, OH died Monday, May 5, 2008 in Medina. He was born January 12, 1943 in Lodi, OH, a son of Jeanne Elizabeth Rouse Palmertree of MS and the late Ross Erwin Mathewson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Victoria May Peck Mathewson of Medina; one son, Daniel Sage of Medina; on step daughter, Cathy Hufenbach and husband Rex of Sullivan, OH; grandchildren, Bryant, Matthew and Noah Hufenbach; four sisters, Estella Brualdi of FL, Mabel Alborihare and husband Harry of LA, Pearl Worley of FL and Mary Lou Peck and husband Doy of Medina; three brothers, George Mathewson and wife Lynn of FL, Russell Mathewson and wife Debbie of FL and Henry Mathewson of FL; four half-brothers and four half-sisters. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother, Freddie Mathewson and one half-brother. Mr. Mathewson retired after 38 years of service with Wellman Friction Products. He was one of the biggest Elvis fans and enjoyed all country music. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home from 1-3 PM, Saturday, May 10, 2008. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville, WV.
