Paul E. Hinkle
Paul Eugene Hinkle, age 80 of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Holbrook's Nursing Home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. He was born July 30, 1928 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Nathan Goff and Carmie Phillips Hinkle. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Jeneieve Hamilton and one brother, Ellis Burl Hinkle. He is survived by his wife, Doris Laverne Stubblefield Hinkle; one daughter, Linda Sue Walton and husband Ed of Uper Pecks Run, WV; one son, Ronald Lee Hinkle and wife Elizabeth of Buckhannon; twelve grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald Hinkle and wife Garnet of Brushy Fork, WV. Mr. Hinkle was a veteran, had worked for Louie Glass as a glass worker and was a memberof the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. Friends will be received at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Wednesday, November 5 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Cecil J. Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Sherry Ann Lawson
Sherry Ann Lawson, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at her home. She was born September 26, 1951 in Imperial, WV, a daughter of the late Orval Delbert and Icey Bell Tenney Sipe. On July 18, 1978 she married Oshal Edward Shamblin who preceded her in death and on November 13, 2006 she married Robert Lee Lawson who also preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and 1st and 2nd husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Linger and Fern White and one brother, Troy Sipe. She is survived by two sons, Delbert Shamblin and wife Michelle of Ravenswood, WV and Robert Shamblin of Liverpool, WV; two granddaughters, Brianna and Laurel Fern Shamblin both of Ravenswood; one grandson, Micah Shamblin of Ravenswood; four sisters, Stella Springer and husband Lyle of North Ridgeville, OH, Waneta Cappotto and husband Joe of Conway, SC, Corene Rowan and husband Cecil and Linda Sipe all of Buckhannon; two brothers, Roy Sipe and wife Lillian of Ellamore, WV and Billy Sipe of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and a friend, Matthew Marsh of Buckhannon. Mrs. Lawson was a homemaker. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 11 AM until 12 Noon the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery in Ten Mile, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Billie Rae Hockenberry
Billie Rae Hockenberry, age 79, of Clarksburg, WV died Friday, November 14, 2008 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. She was born August 18, 1929 in Wendell, WV, a daughter of the late Granville R. and Donis B. Dean Yokum. On June 5, 1954 she married Willard C. Hockenberry who preceded her in death on May 12, 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Robert and Freddie Yokum. She is survived by two sons, John and Ross Hockenberry both of Clarksburg; one sister, Marion L. Andrews of Tennerton, WV and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hockenberry was a homemaker and a member of the Duff Street United Methodist Church in Clarksburg. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 12 Noon until 2 PM the funeral hour with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV. Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Stacie Luella Hinkle
Stacie Luella Hinkle, age 82, of Tallmansville, WV, the Queens Community, died on Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born October 2, 1926 in Queens, a daughter of the late Dyce and Sable Wamsley Hinkle. She is survived by a cousin and caregiver, Stanley Bakas of Weston, WV and several other cousins. Ms. Hinkle was a teacher and principal for the Upshur County Board of Education. Stacie graduated from WV Wesleyan College and WVU. She taught school at Nitro Elementary from 1950-1967 in Kanawha County. She returned to Upshur County in 1967 and worked as an E.S.E.A. Reading Supervisor and then became principal at Tennerton Elementary School from 1973-1981. She attended Christian Fellowship Church. Friends will be received Thursday, January 15, 2009 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels and the Rev. Rodger McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery at Queens. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Samuel Andrew Kochenour
Samuel Andrew Kochenour, age 98, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Holbrook Nursing Home while under the care of Peoples Hospice. He was born November 10, 1911 in Buckhannon a son of the late Samuel Franklin and Carrie Lily Doll Kochenour. On October 12, 1936 he married Ruth Been who preceded him in death on June 29, 2002. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Raymond and Edward Kochenour and one sister, Edith Jessee. He is survived by one son, Samuel C. Kochenour and wife Joyce of Greenwood, SC; one granddaughter, Deanna Dee Schuelke and husband William of Marietta, GA; one great grandson, William Samuel Schuelke of Marietta, GA; one sister, Katherine Rheaume and husband Bob of Lurium, MI and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kochenour was an owner and operator of the Buckhannon Machine Shop. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Monday, June 7, 2010 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. S. L. Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Rupard Nathaniel Hobbs
Rupard Nathaniel Hobbs, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born April 3, 1923 in Fleener, AR, a son of the late Richard Hulet and Annie May Gillenwater Hobbs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Winifred Marie Mauldin; two grandsons, Ryan Scott and Randall Shawn Hobbs; one brother, Richard Hobbs and one sister, Mary Louise Rowland. He is survived by one son, Dennis Hobbs and wife Judythe C. of Buckhannon; step grandchildren, Angel Louise Pritt, Angela Carolyn Losh, Sherry Lee Underwood and Susan Rae Channell; eight step great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Mr. Hobbs was a WW II Veteran, served in the Pacific, worked as an Electronic Technician employed in Alaska for 13 years with the defense early warning system. He retired from Comsat & RCA Vandenburg Missile System, was an author and wrote one book and was an aviation pilot. Memorial Services will be 2 PM on Friday, February 20, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Damon Rhodes officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Katherine M. Kesling
Katherine M. Kesling, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at her home. She was born August 29, 1925 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Lee and Gladys Mackey Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul H. Kesling who died on May 10, 1976. In addition to her parents and husband, she preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Sigler; two sons, Ronald Lee Kesling and Thomas Kesling and one brother, Carl Smith. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Weaver of Buckhannon, Carolyn Sue Barron and husband John of York, PA and Lois Hain and husband Adam of New Freedom, PA; one son, Michael Kesling of Buckhannon; two sisters, Evelyn Rhodes of Harrisville, WV and Edith Lewis of Ohio; one brother, Jim Smith of Buckhannon and thirteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kesling was a member of the North Buckhannon United Methodist Church, a member of the Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663 Ladies Auxiliary and the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 1-2 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ruth Eileen Horn
Ruth Eileen Horn, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born February 27, 1921 in Middletown, OH, a daughter of the late Samuel Thomas and Effie Current Ballard. On January 24, 1941 she married Robert Million Horn who preceded her in death in June of 1985. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Twine; one brother, Thomas Ballard and one sister, Grace House. She is survived by three sons, Robert Million Horn, Jr. and wife Cherry of KY, Algin Horn of Eaton, OH and Bradley Wayne Horn and wife Joy of TN; five daughters, Cyntha Jane Snyder of Cincinnati, OH, Carol Ann Duffield and husband Douglas of Buckhannon, Grace Roberta Johnson of Buckhannon, Cathy Adams of Franklin, OH and Ruth Randel of Middletown; several grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several extended family; loving caregivers, Angie Zirkle and Tammy Ryan and a special thank you to Dr. Ali Khan and St. Joseph's Hospice. Mrs. Horn was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God in Eaton, OH where she was very active. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Michael Wayne Hoover
Michael Wayne Hoover, age 44, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his home. He was born November 27, 1970 a son of the late Donford and Dixie Hoover and his birth mother, Carol Mullins Wilfong. He is survived by his estranged wife, Deon Jones Hoover of Buckhannon; three sons, Nicholas, Zachary and Michael Hoover all of Buckhannon; one daughter, Shaylynn Karickhoff of Century, WV; one granddaughter, Kynlee; one brother, William Wilson, Jr. and his wife Pam of Buckhannon; one sister, Sandra Rapp of Buckhannon; one special uncle, Guy Mullins of Magazine, AR; also several nieces and nephews. Mike worked in the oil & gas fields as a rig hand. Friends will be received Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 12 noon until till 2 pm the funeral hour, with Pastor Holly J. Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Bend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to help with the funeral expenses. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

James Thomas Hogan, IV
James Thomas Hogan, IV, age 59 of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born March 25, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK, a son of James Thomas Hogan, III of Bells, TN and the late Shirley Mae Hogan. On June 13, 1981 he married Margaret Branstetter who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Evelyn Hogan-Mouli and husband Nate of La Plata, MD; three sons, Rory Hogan of Centreville, VA and Brandon Hogan and Sebastian Hogan and wife Johnnie all of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Sahara and Keturah Hogan of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Casshus and Bradley Hogan of Buckhannon; two brothers, David Wayne and John Patrick Hogan of Forestville, MD and one sister, Nancy Brand of Columbia, MD. Mr. Hogan was a supply manager for USDA. Friends will be received Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home from noon until 2:00 PM the funeral hour, with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Gary Lynn Hollen, II
Gary Lynn Hollen, II, age 37, of Shinnston, WV, went home to be with the Lord as a result of an automobile accident on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was born July 24, 1977 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of Gary Lynn Hollen of Ten Mile, WV and Lois Brown Dobbins of Clarksburg. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Cole Hollen of Clarksburg and Mitchell Hollen of Buckhannon, WV; one brother, Travis Hollen of Ten Mile, WV; one sister, Jenna Cheuvront of Clarksburg and maternal grandmother, Virginia Brown of Flatwoods, WV. Gary was a Christian by faith and worked in Child Care for the State of WV. A memorial service will be held at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 3:30 PM with the Rev. Settles officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses c/o Gary Lynn Hollen, 2614 Ten Mile Road, Tallmansville, WV 26237. Ida Mae Hyre
Ida Mae Hyre, age 93, of Buckhannon, WV passed away on September 27, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 6, 1921 in Lorentz, WV, a daughter of the late Cyrus W. and Annie Casto Eckess. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jett DeBarr and her twin brother William Gay Eckess. She is survived by one son Richard A. Hyre and wife Suzanne Young Hyre of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Nancy Hyre Ferrone of Baltimore, MD; two grandsons, R. Alexander Hyre II and John Aaron Hyre and wife Jill Frazier Hyre all of Myrtle Beach and one niece, Peggy Kittleson of Buckhannon. Mae retired from West Virginia Wesleyan College after working 21 years at the Benedum Campus Center. Ms. Hyres hobbies included golf, bridge, reading, walking and helping others. She was an avid sports fan supporting all West Virginia and Pittsburgh teams. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
