James Donald Marson
James Donald Marson, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at his home. He was born June 12, 1946 in Charleston, WV a son of the late Harry Marson II and Dorothy Click Marson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Marson III and two sisters, Hilda Cottrell and Lovis ODonnell. He is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Dawn Lattimer and husband Brian of Buckhannon; twin granddaughters, Peyton and Kayla Carlyle of Buckhannon and granddaugher, Reagan Lattimer of Buckhannon; sister-in-law, Marion Marson of Boca Raton, FL and also several nieces and nephews. He was a mechanic/electrician for Upshur Coals Corporation, a member of the First United Methodist Church, Franklin Lodge # 7 AF & AM, Chapter # 18 Order of Eastern Star, Scottish Rite and 32nd Degree Mason, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, Osiris Temple of Wheeling, B.P.O.E. Lodge # 1736 and Vietnam Veterans of America Organization. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 6-8 PM where B.P.O.E. lodge #1736 will conduct a service at 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow in the Beverly Cemetery at Beverly, WV. VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion, DAV Chapters # 5 & # 36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside, Franklin Lodge # 7 AF & AM will conduct graveside Masonic Rites. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Carl D. Hinkle
Carl D. Hinkle, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Hospice Care In Patient Center in Elkins, WV. He was born June 8, 1938 in Buckhannon, a son of Marie Opal Winans Hinkle Hill of Buckhannon and the late Herbert Harper Hinkle. On July 4, 1986 he married Barbara Ann Phillips who survives. In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by two sons, Jerry M. Hinkle and wife Mary of Allen, TX and Kevin S. Hinkle and wife Melissa of Morgantown, WV; two daughters, Karla Mealey and husband Dale of Weston, WV and Amy Buchanan and husband Mark of Barboursville, WV; one step son, Gary Koon of Teays Valley, WV; two step daughters, Lianna Purce of MS and Lisa Crumm and husband Jack of Elkins, WV; six grandsons, Race Hinkle and wife Chelsie of McKinney, TX, Thomas Hinkle of Allen, Cody and Trevor Hinkle both of Morgantown and Benjamin and Aleck Buchanan of Barboursville; two granddaughters, Keely Hinkle of Morgantown and Bryleigh Buchanan of Barboursville; five step grandsons, Tanner Southerland of Madisonville, KY, Evan Southerland of Fort Campbell, KY, Corey, William and Cole Crumm all of Elkins; four step granddaughters, Julie Tucker and husband Chris of Winfield, WV, Emily and Hope Koon both of Winfield, WV, Anna Crumm of Elkins; one great granddaughter, Kaylee Hinkle of McKinney and one step great-grandson, Dylan Morton of Winfield. Mr. Hinkle was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard in 1956 and was called to active duty in 1961 durng the Berlin Crisis and a member of the American Legion Post # 7. He and his father started a contracting business named H & H Builders. He built 26 homes. He was an expert carpenter and a master cabinet and furniture maker. He was a beef cattle farmer and after his retirement from the USDA he worked as a custodian/maintenance supervisor at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, and he worked at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home for 5 years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. For the last 5 years he enjoyed his winter home in Venice, FL. He was the County Executive Director for the USDA/ASCS (now Farm Service Agency) for over 30 years until his retirement. Friends will be received Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. He will Lie in State on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 1-2 PM at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held 2 PM at the Chapel Hill UMC with the Rev. Helen R. Oates officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon, with the Upshur County Honor Guard providing Military Honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Buckhannon River Habitat for Humanity PO Box 495 Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Gail Marsh
Gail Marsh, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, November 9, 2007 at her home. She was born October 23, 1943 in Concord, NC, a daughter of the late Harley A. and Mary Ella Hurlocker Cook. On August 29, 1984 she married Kent E. Marsh, who survives.. Also surviving are one son, Michael ONeal Motley and wife Pat of Elliston, VA; two daughters, Jill Motley Cutright and husband Danny of Buckhannon and Teri A. Motley of Lewisburg, WV; three grandsons, Stephen Cutright of Buckhannon, Elijah Motley and Isaac Motley both of Elliston; one granddaughter, Katie Cutright of Buckhannon; three step-sons, Mark Marsh of Buckhannon, Gregory Marsh of Lucketts, VA and Kirk Marsh and wife Jeanie of Clearbrook, VA; two step-daughters, Tammy Austin and husband Stormy of Round Hill, VA and Pamela Norris and husband Jimmy of Bluemont, VA; step-grandchildren, Cory, Blakey, Dwight, Alicia, Danielle, Tina, Amy, Jamie, Leah, Samantha, Joshua, Alesha and Issiah; great-grandchildren, Devin, Zachery, Dakota, Tyler, Graci and Rylee; one brother, Jack A. Cook of Lexington, NC and special people, Pat, Helen, Stormy, Polly and Sadie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one step-granddaughter, Nikki Marsh; one step-grandson, Kevin Shrump, two sisters, Hazel Cook Stallings and Bettie Jean Cook Mills and one brother, Harold Ray Cook. Mrs. Marsh was a housewife. She was a member of the Sago Baptist Church, Ladies of the Moose and the WV Cattlemans Association. Friends will be received Monday, November 12, 2007 from 3-9 PM at the Sago Baptist Church in Sago, WV. She will lie-in-state on Tuesday from 9-10- AM at the church. Funeral services will be held 10 AM with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Elbon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Sago Baptist Church, 93 Sago Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald Wayne Hickman
Donald Wayne Hickman, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Louis A. Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born June 9, 1929 in Upshur Co., a son of the late Ralph and Frena Simons Hickman. On October 23, 1953 he married Marjorie Fallen who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Donald Stephen Hickman and wife Ruth of Lincolnton, NC; two daughters, Sheila Beckner and husband Ronnie and Frena Cathy Tenney and companion Donnie Ables all of Buckhannon; one grandson, Ronnie Joe Beckner, Jr. and wife Tracy of Richwood, WV; seven granddaughters, Shannon Carr of Buckhannon, Diana Beckner and companion Tim Tenney of Sago, WV, Kimberly Beckner and companion Chris Gregory of Buckhannon, Jennifer Farmer and husband Kirk of Belmont, NC, Stacey Chatman and husband Lee of Lincolnton and Ashley Tenney and companion Dustin Wamsley and Carol Tenney all of Buckhannon; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a very special cat, Louie. Mr. Hickman was a heavy equipment driver for J.F. Allen Co. and a Methodist by Faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #7. Wayne was a very loving and caring father, grandfather and husband. Friends will be received Friday, December 13, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. The Upshur Co. Honor Guard will be conducting military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

William G. Hinchman
William G. Hinchman, age 62, Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born September 27, 1951 in Adrian, WV, a son of the late Wilford Cotton and Marie Ware Hinchman. On January 25, 1969 he married Sandra Dagley who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jamie Lynn and Wilford Buck Hinchman both of Buckhannon; one grandson, Jonathan William Hinchman of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Ashley Nicole Hinchman of Buckhannon, Tiffany Dawn Hinchman of Grafton, WV and Leslie Aslynn Hinchman of CT; six brothers, Bob Hinchman and wife Vicky of Buckhannon, Roger Hinchman of Ellamore, WV, Joe Hinchman and wife Angela of TX, John Hinchman and wife Carla of Buckhannon, Steve Hinchman of NC and Mark Hinchman of Buckhannon; three sisters, Jean Linger of French Creek, WV, Fran Marsh and husband Dennis and Darlene Richardson and husband Bill all of Adrian; several nieces and nephews; father in law, Jonathan Dagley and wife Mary and brother in law, Darrell Dagley and wife Joyce all of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Hinchman and one sister, Bonnie Hinchman. Mr. Hinchman was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge # 7 A.F. & A.M., the Osiris Shriners of Wheeling, WV and the Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of WV Upshur # 34. He was Baptist by faith. Friends will be received Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the French Creek Memorial Gardens in French Creek. The Franklin Lodge #7 A.F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic graveside rites. Mary Hiner
Mary Hiner, age 96, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Serenity Care Home. She was born September 7, 1917 in Tucker County, WV, a daughter of the late John C. and Maggie Shrout Green. She married Arthur Howard Hiner on May 8, 1942 in Columbia, SC where he was serving in the US Army. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a few months before his death on November 13, 2002. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Lawrence and Charles Green and one sister, Helen Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Erica Ricki Green and husband Danny of Buckhannon and Diane Hiner of Kissimmee, FL; one granddaughter, Natalie Harvey of Evans, WV; one grandson, Jason Green of Buckhannon; one great granddaughter, Camryn Harvey of Evans and one grandson, Jacob Harvey of Evans. Mrs. Hiner was a Methodist by faith. She was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School with the class of 1935 and of WVWC in 1939. She was a member of the WVWC Emeritus Club. Her main interests were in newspapers when she worked on several including The Buckhannon Record and The Republican Delta, and in libraries, when she worked at the old City Library in depression days, and at the Upshur County Library from its start on Marion Street through the little two-room school at Tennerton and into the early days, of the present library. She was librarian on the county bookmobile for two years. Her last job was with the Upshur County Community Action, where she wrote the first grant, got the seed money, made the plans for the Upshur County Home Health Agency, and administrated the program for three years. She and her husband loved traveling, hiking, reading and once spent seven and one-half months youth hostelling in Great Britain and Western Europe. Friends will be received Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 4-6 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Upshur County Humane Society, Charles Gibson Library or the Upshur County Public Library. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Delores Lucille Henline
Delores Lucille Henline, age 87, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Holbrook Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born March 23, 1927 in Copen, WV a daughter of the late Emory L. and Pearl Winona McNemar Leaseburge. On December 17, 1949 she married Elmer L. Henline who preceded her in death on May 25, 2001. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Leaseburge and two sisters, Ruth Casto and Jean Jackson. She is survived by one daughter, Debra Henline of Buckhannon; one son, Steven Henline and wife Melinda of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Kendra and Christina Henline both of Buckhannon and Jennifer Henline of Washington State; five great granddaughters; one sister, Mary Duncan of OR and three brothers, Emory Leaseburge of Lewisburg, WV, James Leaseburge of Buckhannon and Edson Leaseburge of FL. Mrs. Henline was a homemaker. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 1- 2 PM the funeral hour, with the Rev J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Russell Jack Herndon, Sr.
Russell Jack Herndon, Sr., age 66, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born October 18, 1948 in French Creek, WV, a son of the late Rease Simon and Mildred Ruth Riley Herndon. On May 29, 1971 he married Mary Lough who survives. Also surviving are one son, Russell Jackson Rusty Herndon, Jr. and wife Melinda Susie of Buckhannon; one daughter, Brittany Dawn Willard of Teays Valley, WV; two granddaughters, Lexi Herndon of Buckhannon and Olivia Willard of Teays Valley; one grandson, Trey Herndon of Buckhannon; three brothers, Clay Herndon of Adrian, WV, Charles Herndon of Buckhannon and Dallas Herndon of Frenchton, WV and four sisters, Nola Herndon of Buckhannon, Sylvia Coppage of Spotsylvania, VA, Jane Boggs of Cleveland, OH and Barbara Lambert of Teays Valley. Jack was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam. Jack was an avid hunter, enjoyed camping, boating and 4- wheeler riding with his grandchildren, Lexi, Trey and Olivia. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Chapman McCoy
Robert Chapman McCoy, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at his home. He was born May 29, 1934 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Burl Chapman and Alice Wilson McCoy. On December 23, 1957 he married Lois Widdifield who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Rick C. McCoy and Bret W. McCoy both of Buckhannon; one grandson, George; one granddaughter, Krystal; two sisters, Joan Stone of Buckhannon and Linda Coughlin and husband David of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. McCoy was a State Mine Inspector for the State of WV. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War, was a city policeman, a conservation officer, a farmer and was in the coal business. He loved hunting and watching football, basketball and Nascar. He was a Protestant by faith. Friends will be received Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. William Scott Jack, II
William Scott Jack, II, age 46, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at his home. He was born December 28, 1962 in Buckhannon, a son of Patty Reed Frisby of Buckhannon and the late William Scott Jack. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, William Scott Jack, III of Philippi, WV; one brother, Pat Jack of Buckhannon; two sisters, Sandi Peck and husband Tom of Buckhannon and Kathy Sims and husband Tim of Otlanta, SC; step father, Larry Frisby of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. William was a Pipe Fitter for Breckenridge Construction and a Christian by faith. Graveside services will be held 10 AM Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Buckhannon Memorial Park with Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

David S. Mariconda
David S. Mariconda, age 50, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at his home. He was born December 18, 1957 in France, a son of Albert Mariconda of Henderson, NV and the late Eleanor Gish Mariconda. On February 19, 2005 he married Joan Kostrikin of Buckhannon. In addition to his father and wife he is survived by two daughters, Victoria and Neva Mariconda both of Virginia Beach, VA; one step daughter, Autumn Henry of Nazareth, PA; two step sons, Robert Vanderpool of Tinton Falls, NJ and Richard Vanderpool of Lancaster County, PA; one sister; five brothers and one step grandson, Jerimiah Henry of Nazareth. Mr. Mariconda was a painter. At the request of Mr. Mariconda he will be cremated. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
