Betty Lou Marsh
Betty Lou Marsh, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, December 15, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born October 15, 1936 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Paul and Clara House Rowan. On February 2, 1954 she married Matthew R. Marsh, Sr. who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Paula Jean Loudin and husband Tom of Scranton, SC; one son, Matthew R. Marsh, Jr. of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Angela Rose Duke of Parkersburg, WV; one grandson, William Gene Duke of French Creek, WV; one great-granddaughter, Shyla Duke of French Creek; two great-grandsons, Johnathon Duke of French Creek and Allen Duke of Parkersburg and one aunt, Mary Small of Mt. Nebo, WV. Mrs. Marsh was a seamstress for Reidboards Manufacturer. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thelma M. Harper
Thelma M. Harper, age 87, of Grafton, WV died Monday, January 20, 2014 at her home while under the care of Peoples Hospice. She was born August 25, 1926 in Galloway, WV, a daughter of the late Lemuel and Lova Hornbeck Snyder. On September 23, 1945 she married Carl E. Harper who preceded her in death on July 16, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three grandsons, Nathaniel and Travis Caynor and Jason Overfield; one sister, Geneva Gordon and two brothers, Marvin and Mason Snyder. She is survived by two sons, Fred Harper of Biloxi, MS and Terry Harper and wife Anna Mae of Grafton; two daughters, Janet Overfield and husband Jim and Margie Caynor and husband Dennie all of Buckhannon; eight grandsons, Bobby Parsons, Joe Parsons and wife Crystal, Josh King and wife Bethany, Frank King and fianc Belinda and Gary Parsons all of Grafton, Derek Overfield and wife Lauren of Fairmont, WV and Theron Caynor and Nicholas Caynor and wife Michelle both of Buckhannon; six granddaughters, Carla Cosner and husband Chris, Cindy Hardman and husband Shawn and Jamie Riffle and husband Jamie all of Buckhannon, Wendy Custer of Biloxi and Mckayla Harper and Nina Robles both of Grafton; twenty great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katie Andrick and husband John of MD, Lola Jones and husband Ralph of OH and Mildred Skelton and husband Pete of Buckhannon; two brothers, Buford Snyder and wife Iva May of Buckhannon and Donnie Snyder and wife Mary of FL and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harper was a homemaker. She was a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 12 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Cemetery in Excelsior, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bonnie Bell Harris
Bonnie Bell Harris, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, February 28, 2014 at Holbrook's Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born February 13, 1935 in Webster Co., WV, a daughter of the late Oscar and Mary Perkins Clutter. On May 12, 1979 she married Vernon Lyle Harris, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Joyce Sienkiewicz and husband Thomas of Buckhannon; two step daughters, Debra Dollar of Myrtle Beach, SC and DAnn Harris-Blevin and husband John of PA; three granddaughters, Angie Matthews and husband Jason of TX, Jennifer Sienkiewicz of Buckhannon and Patricia Grounds of WV; two step granddaughters, Katie Sienkiewicz and husband James Lyda of SC and Kelly Scott and husband Johnny of Buckhannon; one step grandson, Ben Sienkiewicz and wife Sarah of Buckhannon; one great granddaughter, Zoe Matthews of TX; one great grandson, Anaiah Matthews of TX; ten step great grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy Nichols and husband Sam and Karen Green; three brothers, Leroy Clutter and wife Donna, Delmis Clutter and wife Donna Sue and Bobby Clutter and wife Gathea and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Hall; three sisters Myrtle Norris, Hatti McCourt and Jean Hoover and one brother Nelson Clutter. Mrs. Harris was a Nursing Assistant and a Christian by faith. Bonnie was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #18. Friends will be received Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 11 Am to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Cody Walker Harris
The Lord needed one more Angel, and he chose to take our Cody Walker Harris on March 6, 2014. He was born November 23, 2013, a son of Marci Harris and Mark Smith II. Walker blessed the family with loving joy and happiness. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Ray and Frances Harris and his loving cousin Cody Carr. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his big brother, Preston Harris; his Papa and Mama, Carrol and Lois Harris; maternal aunts and uncles, Jeff and Mary Folmsbe and Bo and Tristen Rizer; cousins, Alexis, Marshall, Cooper, Emma and Baxty. Extended family, Uncle Bryan and Aunt Brenda, Aunt Rosie and Walt, Uncle Glenn, Brant and Breezy, Ricky, Colt, Phillip and Eva, Makenzie, Ryley, Landon, and Kylie; paternal grandfather, Mark Smith and wife Pam; paternal grandmother, Cheryl Hudson; paternal great grandmother, Marian Smith; paternal aunts and uncles, Kayla, Lillie, Brooklyn, Kaleb and Shane Smith, Dekota, Christina and Robert Mason and Mackenzie and Sydney Arndt and paternal cousins, Christopher Leon, Jr. and Braelynne Patterson. The family will truly love and miss Cody. A graveside service will be held 3 PM, Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Kesling Mill Cemetery in Kesling Mill, WV with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Rev. Richard Dave Ogden
Rev. Richard Dave Ogden, age 68, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, January 31, 2011 at his home. He was born July 18, 1942 in Adrian, WV, a son of the late Willis Earl and Sylvia Josie Hawkins Ogden. On December 26, 1962 he married Roselyn Ann Clark who preceded him in death on December 1, 2009. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Joseph Ogden and one sister, Martha Ogden. He is survived by one son, Richard E. Ogden and wife Lisa of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Leslie Ogden of Elkins, WV; one grandson, Matthew Ogden of Buckhannon; two sisters, Dolores Kasten of Buckhannon and LeVaughn Ward of Columbus, OH and many nieces and nephews. Rev. Ogden was the Pastor for the South Buckhannon United Methodist Charge and served in the US Army for eight years. He was a Washington, DC Police Officer for six years and was Chief of Police for Gassaway, WV and Burnsville, WV. He was a member of the Osiris Temple of Wheeling and the Upshur County Shrine Club and was a Master Mason in Parkersburg # 3 Lodge. He was a skilled carpenter and loved hunting and fishing. Friends will be received Friday, February 4, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ken Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hinkleville, WV. Franklin Lodge # 7 AF & AM will conduct Masonic graveside rites and the WV Army Military Honors will conduct military services at the graveside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist the family with expenses. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Eleanor R. 'Shorty' Harris
Eleanor R. 'Shorty' Harris, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her home while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born August 7, 1938 in Queens, WV, a daughter of the late Troy Lee and Millie Hammonds Zickefoose. On December 2, 1957 she married Jim Harris who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jim L. Harris and wife Dean of Elkins, WV and Tim L. Harris and wife Lori of Buckhannon; one daughter, Marilyn Ann Foster of Phoenix, AZ; one grandson, Timothy Ryan Harris of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Jenny and Natasha Foster both of Phoenix; one sister, Lena Louise Betsy James of Buckhannon, one nephew, Terry Liggett of Buckhannon and one niece, Pam Lemons of Buckhannon. Shorty was an insurance agent for many years and served as the Upshur County Clerk for two years. She attended the Mt. Rupert UMC and was a member of the CEOs. Friends will be received Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6 to 9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dianna Hall
Dianna Hall, age 78, of Rock Cave, WV died Monday, May 19, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born February 13, 1936 in St. Paul City, MN, a daughter of the late Otto and Beatrice Lindstrom Lehman. On August 8, 1969 she married Alvin Hall who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Cindi Goodwin and partner Eddie Harper of Hodgesville, WV; three sons, William Primo and wife Gail of NC, Spencer Primo and wife Teresa of Burlington, VT and Brian Primo of Fort Collins, CO; three grandsons, Tyler Goodwin of Little Birch, WV, Nathan Goodwin of Northern Cambria, PA and Bobby Primo; two granddaughters, Sharon and Lisa Primo; one sister, Joyce Clark and husband Roger of Stafford, VA; one nephew, Johnny Fitzherbert and wife Maggie of Stafford; best friend, Roselea Neely and husband Kenny of Frenchton, WV and special aunt, Ruby Lipscomb of Purgitsville, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lehman and one sister, Marie Lehman. Mrs. Hall was an Office Manager for C.U.R.E. Water Treatment. She was a member of the Wilsontown United Methodist Church and D.A.V. Chapter # 36 Ladies Aux., where she was commander for 5 years and was State Commander for 2 years. Mrs. Hall was the past secretary and citizen of the year for SUBA in Rock Cave. Dianna was a loving and caring person and had many friends. A memorial gathering will be received Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 12 - 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mitch Griffin officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Glenna Jean Jackson
Glenna Jean Jackson, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at her home. She was born October 29, 1931 in Clendenin, WV a daughter of the late Leonard and Ella Sandy Mick. On December 8, 1950 she married Edward L. Jackson who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Pam Thomas and husband Bill of Buckhannon, Judy Parker and husband Joel of Buckhannon and Nancy Wayts of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Josh Hinkle and wife Sabrina of Weston, WV, Eric Clayton Lantz and wife Shelli of Buckhannon, Evan Lantz and wife Ashley of Buckhannon, Michael Thomas of Morgantown, WV and Jeffrey Wayts and wife Jodi of Ft. McCoy, WI; two granddaughters, Erin Oleksa and husband Cory of Morgantown and Natalie Nicholson and husband Danny of Buckhannon; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leonard Bud Mick and wife Arletta of Buckhannon, Ralph Mick and wife Nancy of Mechanicsville, MD and Larry Mick and wife Connie of Abingdon, VA; three sisters, Grace Douty and husband Dale of Salem, OH, Mary Lou Allman and husband Doy of Richwood, WV and Sandra Sue Casto and husband Pete of Vienna, WV; one sister-in-law, Helen Reger of Buckhannon; one brother-in-law, Brooks Jackson and wife Theresa of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews and family friend Debbie Rolenson of Buckhannon. The family would also like to give a special thank you to her loving caregivers who added cheerfulness, comfort and dignity to her final days. She was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School, worked in retail and real estate and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Hall, WV, Buckhannon Country Club, former member of Buckhannon Country Clubs Ladies League and Buckhannon Lanes traveling league. A talented artist, Jean greatly enjoyed ceramics, oil painting and creating floral arrangements. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and taking walks. Her unspoken compassion and kindness toward those less fortunate, especially children, leaves the world a better place. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Friday, October 29, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Poling officiating. At her request Jean will be cremated and buried in the Bethany Baptist Cemetery at Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1218 Market St., Parkersburg, WV 26101. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas Lynn Harlow
Thomas Lynn Harlow, age 63, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, June 13, 2014 at his home, while under the care of Amedisys Hospice. He was born September 2, 1950 in Adrian, WV, a son of the late William Boyd and Naomi M. Veith Harlow. On September 19, 1980 he married Brenda Kay Heatherly who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tammy Clifton and husband Les of Rivesville, WV and Angie Dowling and husband Bill of Buckhannon; five grandsons, Nathan, Nicky and Noah Clifton all of Rivesville and Brendan and Ethan Dowling both of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Courtney Dowling of Buckhannon; one brother, Jim Harlow and wife Roxanne of Buckhannon; two sisters, Mary Belle Lantz of Buckhannon and Martha Stotler and husband Dave Dotson of TX and a sister-in-law, Karen Harlow of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Sam Harlow and one sister, Linda Harlow. Mr. Harlow was a Custodian for the Upshur County Board of Education. He served in the US Navy in Vietnam. The family of Tom, would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and Nurse Aaron Elliott. Friends will be received Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 5-9 PM at the Christian Fellowship Church. A funeral service will be held 3 PM Monday at the Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hinkleville, WV. Upshur County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors at the graveside. Verine Zickefoose Leigh
Verine Zickefoose Leigh, age 92, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon. She was born March 11, 1921 in Hemlock, WV, a daughter of the late Emery and Sophia Hoover Zickefoose. On March 16, 1946 she married Virgil Jake Leigh who preceded her in death on June 29, 1978. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thamer and Camden Zickefoose. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jenkins and husband Charles of Buckhannon; two sons, Kenneth Leigh and wife Janet of Wheeling, WV and Julius Leigh and wife Mavis of Hemlock; four granddaughters, Susan Ford of Buckhannon, Sara Wamsley and husband Rusty of Buckhannon, Michelle Bees and husband Bob of Fernandina Beach, FL and Monica Leigh of Buckhannon; one grandson, Michael Leigh and fiance Karyn Huggins of Bridgeville, PA; one great granddaughter, Katie Wamsley of Buckhannon; three great grandsons, Brandon Wamsley of Buckhannon and Wesley and Nicholas Bees both of Fernandina Beach; one sister, Shelbia Jean Carpenter and husband Dorsey of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Leigh was a Homemaker and attended the Mt. Olive U.M.C. at Hemlock. Friends will be received Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 11 AM 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Holly J. Hoover and the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery in Hemlock. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery Fund c/o Mary Jenkins 42 Jenleigh Drive Buckhannon, WV 26201. Lewis Lou Harper
Lewis Lou Harper, age 66, of French Creek, WV went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born May 29, 1948 in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Clyde and Ruby Wolfe Harper. Lou served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a truck driver for 45 years. Friends will be received Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 11 AM to 1 PM the funeral hour at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with Fred Shobe and the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
