Elizabeth A. McCann
Elizabeth A. McCann, age 90, of French Creek, WV died Monday, July 20, 2009 at her home. She was born May 8, 1919 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Chambers C. and Tobitha T. Tenney Perry. On July 4, 1941 she married Frank D. McCann who preceded her in death on August 15, 2001. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Hyson, Monroe, Sandusky and Lafyette Perry. She is survived by one daughter, Janet G. Hamner and husband Tom of Indian Camp, WV; three sons, Ronald McCann and wife Robyn of French Creek, Robert D. McCann and wife Bonnie of Hueytown, AL and Stanford D. McCann and wife Charlotte of Indian Camp; two brothers, Egbert Perry of Adrian, WV and Eddie Perry of Waterloo, WV; six granddaughters, Monica Snider and husband Jimmy of Indian Camp, Shanah Carpenter and husband Danny of Carter, WV, Shellie Humphrey and husband Marty of Crawford, WV, Stephanie Gillum and husband Eric of Bethlehem, WV, Connie Rowan and husband Carl of Buckhannon and Kathy McCann of Hueytown; five grandsons, Vince Hamner and wife Josette of Durham, NC, Bobby McCann and wife Tammy of Wardensville, WV, Michael McCann and wife Carolyn of Buckhannon, Jeffrey McCann and wife Terri of Frenchton, WV and Benjamin McCann of Alton, WV and twenty great-grandchildren. Mrs. McCann was a homemaker, a member of the Indian Camp United Methodist Church and a life long member of the Indian Camp Settlers Club. Friends will be received Friday, July 24, 2009 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. She will lie in state from 1-2 PM the funeral hour on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Indian Camp United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Camp Church Cemetery at French Creek. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Elijah (Nick) Nicholas Wyatt Linger
Elijah (Nick) Nicholas Wyatt Linger, age 3, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born on September 3, 2005, the son of Sammie N. and Misty Dawn Wimer Linger of Buckhannon who survive. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents Rev. Terry E. and Barbara D. Gower of Buckhannon; paternal grandparents Gary N. and Rozetta H. Linger of Buckhannon; aunts and uncles, Wendy and Keith Ward of Winchester, VA, Misty R. and Cheikh Sow of Oklahoma City OK, Stormy and Crystal Linger and cousin Miguel of Lumberport, WV, and Amie and Richard Hawkins and cousin Alex of Buckhannon; several great aunts, and uncles, great grandparents and cousin and a large church family. He was preceded in death by one aunt and one uncle. Nick was a member of the Living Water Church of God and the Independent Brethren Church. He was full of life, loved to be outside, going to church to sing with the children's choir, watching fireworks smoke bombs and riding on the tractor. Friends will be received 48PM, Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Thursday at the Living Word Church of God with Pastor Frank Spears and Rev. Junior Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Union Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Violet 'Dolly' M. Lloyd
Violet 'Dolly' Lloyd, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born January 6, 1936 in Cox Mills, WV, a daughter of the late Clark and Alta King Butcher. On October 20, 1958 she married Bernard C. Lloyd who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Dorothy E. Sesco of Rock Cave, WV, Donna S. Martin of Buckhannon, and Darlene M. Tomey and husband Paul of Buckhannon; 11 Grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Wert and husband Fred of Millersburg, PA, and Jenny Masko and husband Andy of Warren, OH; two brothers, Fred Butcher and wife Betty of Lake City, FL and Guy Butcher of Newton Falls, OH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter B. Carol Lloyd; one grandson, Brandon T. Sesco five brothers, Kenneth, James, Hobert, Russell and Charles Butcher, and one sister Mary Butcher. Mrs. Lloyd was a seamstress at Dunn Manufacturing and a member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary of Elkins. Friends will be received 7-9 PM on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. She will lie in state from 10-11 Saturday at the Mt. Lebanon Church in Buckhannon with services to follow at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Junior Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Billie C. Lynch
Billie C. Lynch, age 73, of Kesling Mill Community, died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born January 15, 1936 in Webster Springs, WV a son of the late Robert and Ethel Carpenter Lynch. On August 2, 1958 he married Lois Conklin who preceded him in death on June 7, 1984. Also preceding him in death were two sons, Robert and Billie Lynch and one grandson, Nicholas Cartright. He is survived by two sons, Donald Lynch and wife Jennifer of Buckhannon, WV and Charlie Lynch of Kesling Mill, WV; two daughters, Barbara Cartright and husband Randy of Fishing Creek, MD and Michele Burton and husband Eric of Buckhannon; four grandsons, Kyle Cartright of Fishing Creek, Nathaniel Lynch of Buckhannon, Keegan Adkins of Buckhannon and Ryan Cartright of Fishing Creek; four granddaughters, Stephanie Burton of Bridgeport, WV, Samantha Burton of Bridgeport, McKayla Lynch of Buckhannon, and Ashley Lynch of Buckhannon; one sister, Anna Dodrill of Humboldt, IA; two step sisters, Linda Frame of Ohio and Beatrice Hamrick of Ohio and a special friend, Pheba Minix of Buckhannon. Mr. Lynch had been a gas meter reader and was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Joe McCourt Cemetery near Webster Springs, WV. Jerry L. Loudin, Sr.
Jerry L. Loudin, Sr., age 67, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Holbrook's Nursing Home in Buckhannon. He was born July 18, 1942 in Weston, WV, a son of the late Roy Guy and Genevieve Newell Loudin. On May 1, 1965 he married Margaret J. Peg Palmer who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jerry Lynn Loudin, Jr. and wife Erin of Horner, WV and Joe Loudin and wife Katina of Buckhannon; one daughter, Jennifer Loudin of Charlestown, WV; five granddaughters, Sara Loudin of Buckhannon, Leah Wolfe of Charlestown, Samantha Loudin of Horner, Mackenzie Loudin of Charlotte, NC and Isabella Posey of Horner; three grandsons, Seth Posey of Horner and Jacob and Josh Loudin both of Buckhannon; one great grandson, Gavin Wolfe of Charlestown; two sisters, Joan Loving and husband John of Cleveland, TN and Judy Dodson and husband Jack of Hornando, MS; one brother, Jack Loudin and wife Mary of Walkersville, MD and sister in law, Pat Priloh and husband Dennis of Brownsville, PA. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Loudin. Mr. Loudin was the Administrator for the Elkins Moose Lodge. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a Loyal Member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge # 598. He served with the US Navy from 1960-1964 during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was a Methodist by faith. Friends will be received Friday, January 8, 2010 from 4-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rick Cutright officiating. Burial will follow in the Waldeck Cemetery at Pricetown, WV. Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post # 7 American Legion and the DAV Chapters # 5 & 36 will conduct military honors at the gravesite. Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Izetta Griffith Lynch
Izetta Griffith Lynch, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the St. Joseph's Hospital of Buckhannon. She was born April 18, 1924 in Volga, WV a daughter of the late Ray and Ethel Cutright White. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband Olen Griffith in 1974, her 2nd husband Howard Otis Lynch in 1991, two brothers, Ross and George White, and one sister, Eugenia Benson. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Vincent and Sharon Fealy both of Buckhannon; six grandchildren, Tim and Diana Vincent, Carmen and Jimbo Lee both of Buckhannon, Becky and Craig Smith of French Creek, WV, Joseph Francis Fealy II and Sandra of Buckhannon, Jason (USCG) and Christine Fealy of Jacksonville, FL and Jena Fealy of Buckhannon; three great grandsons, 9 great granddaughters, one great great granddaughter and one great great grandson; four sisters, Isabelle Nutter of Jim Town, WV, Izola Marple of Hackers Creek, WV, Minetta Lewis of Lost Creek, WV and Shirley Helmick of Lake Wales, FL; three brothers, Archie White of Buckhannon, Curtis White of Peel Tree, WV and Scott White of Fishing Cap, WV. She was a Christian, a 1941 graduate of BUHS and retired from the A & P Tea Company. She was a volunteer of the Clothes Closet, a member of the AARP and a member of the Willing Workers CEOS. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. S. L. Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. James Donald Linger
James Donald Linger, age 76, of French Creek, WV died Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. He was born July 28, 1933 in Frenchton, WV, a son of the late Jason Farrell and Elba Ora Queen Linger. On December 20, 1958 he married Carol Jean Fitzgerald who survives. Also surviving are two sons, William James Linger of Frenchton and Larry Gene Linger and wife Jodie of Fairmont, WV; one granddaughter, Kathryn Rose Linger of Frankfort, IN; two grandsons, Morgan Garrett Linger and Conner Wade Linger both of Fairmont, WV; several nieces and nephews, a mother in law, Ruby Davis of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers. Mr. Linger was a Sales Clerk for Straders Dept. Store. He was a member of the Frenchton United Methodist Church, the Rock Cave Lodge # 81 AF & AM and the Aletha Chapter # 82 Order Of Eastern Star. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 5-7 PM with memorial services at 7 PM with the Rev. Dan Lowther officiating. The Rock Cave Masonic Lodge # 81 and Aletha Chapter # 82 will conduct services. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Martha Sue Alice Lewis
Martha Sue Alice Lewis, age 65, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born March 28, 1944 in Gould, WV a daughter of the late Edward Brud and Mabel Smith Burr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Robert Burr, two sisters, Mary Lou Burr and Geraldine McCartney and one granddaughter, Sara Powers. She is survived by four sons, Billy Reed of Buckhannon, Donnie G. Lewis and wife Myrna of Rock Cave, WV, Steve Lewis and wife Becky of Buckhannon and Chad Lewis and wife Bridgett of Buckhannon; four daughters, Kim Cogar and husband Donnie, Michelle Wilcher and husband Chad, Shelia Sines and husband Ray and Tammy Cox and husband Brian all of Buckhannon; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six sisters, Helen Heater and Joan Jones of Buckhannon, Imogene Donley and Sue Isabella of Ohio and Faye Black and Jennie Reed of French Creek, WV; three brothers, Frank and Richard Burr of Buckhannon and Tony Burr of French Creek. Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Sago Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 12 Noon until 2 PM the funeral hour with the Rev. Ed Lowther officiating. Bryant Kasey Long
Bryant Kasey Long, three week old son of Richard Odell Long and Joriea Kepner James of Buckhannon, WV died on Sunday, February 14, 2010. He was born January 19, 2010 in Elkins, WV. In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers, Ian James and Jaeden Long both of Buckhannon; maternal grandmother, Cindy Kepner of NC; paternal grandparents, Lora and Odell Long of French Creek, WV; several aunts and uncles and several cousins. Friends will be received Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Cora May Linger, age 89 of Philippi, WV died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV. She was born August 24, 1920 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of the late John and Opal Spore Exline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ophie Linger who died May 22, 1974 and six brothers. She is survived by four sons, Ophie Junior Linger and wife Betty of Buckhannon, WV, James Linger and wife Sarah, Ronnie Linger and wife Carolyn and Jerry Allen Linger, all of Philippi; two daughters, Betty Linger of Philippi and Catherine Lattea and husband Dana of Camden, WV; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two sisters, Martha Hiney of Linn, WV and Anna Mae Robinson of Buckhannon. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. Friends will be received from 4-8 PM, Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Thelma Jean Linger
Thelma Jean Linger, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born August 28, 1945 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Howard Martin and Ethel Radcliff Bennett. On December 1, 1963 she married Jimmy Linger who preceded her in death on March 9, 2007. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Mae Ware and Mary Francis Small and eight brothers, Alva H., Bobby, Ray, Jimmy, Billy, Arthur, Willis Bennett and Howard Bennett, Jr. She is survived by four sons, French Linger of Huttonsville, WV, Isaac and Brian Linger both of Buckhannon and Jimmy Linger, Jr. of Lost Creek, WV; two daughters, Cynthia and Lori Linger both of Buckhannon; one grandson, Travis Mallett of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Amy and Clarissa Linger both of Buckhannon and Paris Linger of Lewis County, WV; one brother, Lee Roy Bennett and wife Wanda of Buckhannon; two sisters, Linda Perry and husband Jim of Gastonia, NC and Grace Cogar of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Linger was a homemaker and a member of the Message of Light Tabernacle in Weston. She was also a member of the FOE # 4357 and the Women of the Moose Chapter # 319.
