William B. "Buck" Loudin
William B. Buck Loudin, age 70, of Buckhannon, WV passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his home following a long illness surrounded by his loving family and under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. He was born January 7, 1940 at Evergreen, WV the son of the late Oid B. and Lillian G. Simons Loudin. On December 13, 1963 he married Dolores Walton who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Dee-Dee Liggett and husband Brad, Angie Dalton and Charity Fogg all of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Chantelle Hupp and husband Jamison of Nashville, TN and Michaela Fogg, Lexie Dalton both of Buckhannon; two grandsons Derek Marsh and Bronson Fogg both of Buckhannon and one sister Xenna G. Loudin of Buckhannon. Mr. Loudin was owner and operator of Loudin Home Repair, a member of the Living Word Church of God and his favorite pastime was fishing with his grandson Derek. Friends will be received Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Betty Lou Linger
Betty Lou Linger, age 67, of Philippi, WV died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born July 15, 1943 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Ophie and Cora Exline Linger. She is survived by four brothers, Jerry Linger of Philippi, Junior Linger and wife Betty of Buckhannon, James Linger and wife Sarah of Philippi and Ronnie Linger and wife Carolyn of Philippi; one sister, Catherine Lattea and husband Dana of Camden, WV and several nieces and nephews. Betty was a homemaker. Friends will be received Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pauline Hinzman Linger
Pauline Hinzman Linger, age 86 of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at her home. She was born October 30, 1924 in Weston, WV, a daughter of the late James Carl and Anna Mulcahy Hinzman. On November 17, 1950 she married Eli Gail Linger who preceded her in death on May 12, 1987. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Thomas Tommy Hinzman and James Hinzman and one sister, Mary Margaret Peggy McDonnell. She is survived by two daughters, Elissa Mills and husband LTC Terry of Buckhannon and Mary Anna Oldaker and husband James R. of Weston; one grandson, Jeffrey Oldaker of Volga, WV; one granddaughter, Deanna Lindsay and husband Cam of State College, PA; one great grandson, A.J. Lindsay of State College; beloved dogs, Chiquita, Lucy, Lola and Max and other furry companions and a very special friend, Dr. Ali Khan whom she loved dearly. A term of affection that had been given to her was the title of Strawberry Queen of 1947. She was a C & P Telephone Operator. In 1977 she started working for Guardian Food Services and was known as the hostess of Hardees. She served as a volunteer for different groups and organizations. In keeping with her wishes, her body will be donated to the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine at Lewisburg and also as per her request there will be no viewing, services and her ashes will be scattered at a later date. The family plans a gathering of friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Pauline would like for people to make donations to either St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Pet Charity of their choice. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dorie McHugh O'Brien
Dorie McHugh O'Brien, age 68, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 while surrounded by family at the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born February 7, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA a daughter of the late James Farrell and Doris Guyer McHugh. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Martha McHugh. On August 8, 1976 she married Bill O'Brien who survives. Also surviving are one son, Jamie O'Brien of Buckhannon; one daughter, Emmalee O'Brien of Buckhannon; two sisters, Jane Helmick and husband Charlie of Buckhannon and Diana Cruickshank and husband Jim of Paducah, KY; two sisters-in-law, Jane OBrien Ayers and husband Jim of Columbus, OH and Katy OBrien Greenhill and husband Kip of Columbus; six nephews one of whom is local, C. J. Helmick of Buckhannon; seven nieces, two of whom are local, Charliena Helmick of Buckhannon and Dorina Helmick of Bridgeport, WV. In 1960 she graduated from the Stevens School for Girls, Chestnut Hill, PA., in 1964 she graduated from WVWC in Buckhannon, in 1976 she received her Masters Degree from WVU in Morgantown, WV. From 1964-68 she taught at the Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, PA, from 1970-76 she taught at the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, PA and from 1977-80 she taught in the Upshur County School System, in 1982 she opened the Island Nursery-Kindergarten where she remained the owner and director for the past 29 years. She was a member and past president of the Junior Women's Club, member and past president of Buckhannon Chapter AAUW, member and president of Upshur Co. Arts Alliance, former member St. Joseph's hospital Aux., former member of the Alumni Council of WVWC, a member of a local book club and bridge club. Lifetime member of the Second Baptist Church of Germantown, PA and attended the First United Methodist Church of Buckhannon. She was active in her children's activities, swimming, soccer, cheerleading, chorale, Girl Scouts and PTO. She especially enjoyed gardening, reading, teaching, cooking, playing cards and family activities. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Monday, June 6, 2011 from 5-9 PM. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mark Alan Lollis
Mark Alan Lollis, age 46, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, June 24, 2011 at his home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. He was born August 18, 1964 in Largo, FL, a son of the late Roy Mac and Betty Jean Walthingham Lollis. On March 31, 2001 he married Michele Sammartino who survives. Also, surviving are one daughter, Alisha Lollis of FL; three brothers, Roy Lollis and Carol, Ronnie Joe Lollis, and Richard Lollis, all of FL and four sisters, Brenda Bordelon, Debbie, Judy and Jody Lollis all of FL. Mark was a member of the Light Chapel Church and was a roofer for construction. Memorial services will be held 2 PM on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Brandon Kelley officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Rosalee Virginia Oldaker
Rosealee Virginia Oldaker, age 80, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at her home. She was born December 29, 1934 in Webster County, WV, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Woodring Cogar. On June 7, 1952 she married David Reed Oldaker who preceded her in death on July 15, 2014. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Barker McClain, Veda Mustoe and Mary McClain. She is survived by one son, David L. Oldaker and wife Robin of Buckhannon; one daughter, Roberta L. Talbott and companion Denny Fisher of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Isaac Reed Ike Talbott and girlfriend, Carlene Chidester of Buckhannon, Tyler Robert Oldaker and girlfriend, Allison Miller of Morgantown, WV and Quinten Reed Oldaker and wife Darla of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Drill Sergeant Sally Ann Talbott and companion, John Herrera of Fort Jackson, SC and a special niece, Karen Groves and husband Mike of Dade City, FL. Mrs. Oldaker was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. Family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Homsi, Peoples Hospice and the caregivers. Friends will be received Friday, June 26, 2015 from 5-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhannon Memorial Park in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Nancy L. Linger
Nancy L. Linger, age 91 of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Holbrook's Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born July 5, 1920 in Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Eldon and Helen Cline Nye. On June 4, 1950 she married Aubrey Linger who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Gail Linger of Pittsburgh, PA and Janice Huffman of Buckhannon; one grandson, Jason Huffman also of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step mother Ethel Nye who lovingly raised her after her mothers death; three brothers, Bud, Paul and Tom Nye and two sisters, Dorothy Nye and Hetty Finster. She was a homemaker. Friends will be received Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Friday at the funeral Home with Pastor Bobbie Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at the Lorentz Cemetery in Lorentz, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Janet Lee Lewis
Janet Lee Lewis, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Holbrook's Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born September 3, 1928 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Tim and Annie Bartlett Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Cline Lewis and one nephew, Rodney Lewis. She is survived by one nephew, Timothy Lewis of Fort Levinsworth, KS. Ms. Lewis was a social worker in Newark, NJ. She served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a Methodist by faith. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 10, 2012 in the Veterans Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Baptist Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Xenna Grace Loudin
Xenna Grace Loudin, age 73, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Mon. General Hospital in Morgantown, WV following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 9, 1938 in Evergreen, WV, a daughter of the late Oid B. and Lillian G. Simons Loudin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Buck Loudin. She is survived by one sister in law, Dolores Loudin of Buckhannon; three nieces, Angela R. Dalton, Dee-Dee Liggett and husband Brad and Charity Fogg all of Buckhannon; three great nieces, Chantelle Hupp, Michaela Fogg, Lexie Dalton; two great nephews, Derek Marsh and fiance, Whitney Bennett and Bronson Fogg and a loyal friend, Gay Snyder. Mrs. Loudin worked at G.C. Murphys Company for many years and retired as a billing clerk from St. Joseph's Hospital after 23 years of service and a Christian by faith. A graveside service will be held 2 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Laurel Fork Cemetery at French Creek, WV with Pastor Frank Spears officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Harold Sullivan McDonald
Harold Sullivan McDonald, age 79, of Baltimore, MD died Thursday, October 21, 2010. He was born January 8, 1934 in Parsons, WV, a son of the late William and Bessie Johnson McDonald. On December 5, 1953 he married Doris Loraine McIntosh who preceded him in death on July 22, 2004. He is survived by four daughters, Lori A. Hines and husband Fredrick whom he lived with for seven years, Patricia A. Roberts, Vicki J. Carbaugh and Beverly J. Wimer; two brothers, Robert L. and Ronald R. McDonald; three sisters, Wanda Poling, Greta Schunter and Lola McNew; grandchildren, Marco and Kaleigh Clark, Melissa and Daniel Roberts, Angela Hanshaw and Melinda, Joseph and Cody Wells; many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Genieva Leisner, Angelo Mullenax and William McDonald, Jr. and one grandson, Charlie Carbaugh. Mr. McDonald went to school in Parsons. He served in the US Army and was an employee of Continental Can in Baltimore. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 10 AM until 12 Noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Knotts officiating. Burial will follow in the Parsons City Cemetery. Buckhannon VFW Post #3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion, DAV Chapters #5 & #36 will conduct military honors at the graveside. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald Eugene 'Papaw' Loudin, Jr.
Donald Eugene 'Papaw' Loudin, Jr., age 52, died at his home on Cow Run Rd. in Rock Cave, WV on March 19, 2012. He was born November 22, 1959 in Buckhannon, WV to Gladys Irene Chidester and Donald Eugene Loudin, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and his sister Judy Anne Loudin. He is survived by his mother, Gladys Chidester; one sister, Karen Loudin; two brothers, Bruce Loudin and Merrill Campbell, Jr.; wife, Tammy Loudin; three sons, Bryan, Jared and Nathaniel Loudin; grandson, Zander Don-Allen Loudin; two nieces, Cheyenne and Sierra Walters as well as many other family members and friends. From a very young age he and his friend, Charlie, grew up fishing and trapping on the rivers of Indiana. As a teenager he moved to West Virginia, where he later met Tammy Jeffries, who would become his wife. They had three sons, who shared his love for the outdoors. His eldest son, Bryan, learned from him that if you dont do something right, dont do it at all. He instilled within his middle son, Jared, the philosophy that, if it aint worth working for, it aint worth having. Nathaniel, the youngest, attributes his work ethic of, work hard for what you got so you respect it, to his loving father. His brother, Merrill, who was paralyzed as a young adult, remembers Donnie always being by his side giving him words of encouragement. One of Merrills fondest memories was being taken on a boat by his brother, Donnie, after the accident and never feeling so free. Merrill considered Donnie not only his brother but his best friend. Donnie was a husband, father, brother, son, grandfather and friend with so much love to give. He will be truly and deeply missed by many. Friends will be recieved on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 1-3 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Friday at the funeral home. Luis Carlos Lpez
Luis Carlos Lpez, age 19, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, April 13, 2012 at his home. He was born November 26, 1992 in El Paso, TX a son of Juan M. and Ana Gloria Bolaos Lpez of Buckhannon. He is also survived by one sister, Gina Lpez of CA; two brothers Juan Lpez, Jr. and wife Claudia of San Antonio, TX and Carlos A. Lpez and wife Dora of Austin, TX; paternal grandmother, Rachel Carmona of Mexico; aunts and uncles, Sal, Virginia, Grace, Herb and Rose Carmona all of Buckhannon, Bill and Carmina DuBrowa, Raul and Maria Martinez and Rafael Bolaos all of CA; girlfriend, Carly Hyre of Buckhannon and several cousins. Luis was a student at Fairmont State University, majoring in business and culinary arts and a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Buckhannon. He was employed by Lowes of Buckhannon. Luis enjoyed playing all sports and spending time with his family and his numerous friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Monday, April 16, 2012 from 5-9 PM, with a Rosary service at 8:30 PM. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Ronald Nikodem and Father Armando Lpez Carmona as Celebrants. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
