Rev. Owen M. Lee
Another family member has passed away, Rev. Owen M. Lee of Buckhannon, WV, at his home on March 22, 2009 at the age of 91. He was born January 29, 1918 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Quincy Adams and Mary Crawford Lee. On August 14, 1937 he married Opal Lucille Crites who preceded him in death two years earlier to the day on March 22, 2007. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Odel and Orland Lee; six sisters, Agnes Marsh, Isabelle Hyre, Donice Golden, Martha Young, Dollie Hardman and Madeline Lee and one grandson, Ronald Simmons, II. Rev. Lee is survived by seven sons, Kenneth Lee and wife Hellen of Buckhannon, Dale Lee and wife Jean of Belington, WV, David Lee and wife Kitty of Elkins, WV, Wayne Lee and wife Patty of Buckhannon, Jerry Lee and wife Barbara of French Creek, WV, Ronald Lee of Buckhannon, and Stephen Lee and fiance Angie of Buckhannon; six daughters, Eloise Tenney and husband Eldon of Buckhannon, Jo Ann Bleigh and husband Denzil of Buckhannon, Mary Johnson and husband Jim of Hillsboro, WV, Linda Haller and husband Buck of Elkins, Evelyn Utt and husband Carroll of Morgantown, WV and Patricia Deusenberry of Elkins; two brothers, Robert Lee and wife Rose of Camden, WV and Berlin Lee and wife Joann of Rock Cave, WV; one sister, Maxine Canter of Fishing Camp, WV; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Rev. Lee was with the United Methodist Conference for 16 yrs. and the Union Mission Conference for over 30 yrs. He served as a school bus driver for several years with the Upshur Co. Brd. of Ed. and enjoyed farming, truck driving and timbering, but his first love was The Lord. Owen officiated at 167 weddings and 298 funerals. Owen loved to give God credit for blessing him with many friends, a loving family and a long life. His greatest wish would be that each one would meet him in Heaven and rejoice to see our Savior face-to-face. Friends will be received Tuesday March 24, 2009 from 6 to 9 PM at the Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon. Rev. Lee will lie in state Wednesday from 1 to 2 PM at the Buckhannon Union Mission Church where a funeral service will be held at 2 PM with Rev. Dennis Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery at Kanawha Head, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rev. Lee's memory to St. Joseph's Hospice or the Gideons. Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Betty E. Lantz
Betty E. Lantz, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at her home. She was born March 28, 1930 in Ohio, a daughter of the late Alco and Thelma Snider Pierce. On February 28, 1956 she married Perry Earl Bud Lantz who preceded her in death on December 12, 1992. Also preceding her in death were, one daughter, Debbie Summers, one son, Roger Lantz, two brothers, Alco D. Pierce, Jr., and Harold Pierce and one sister, Mary Pierce. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Chewning and husband Danny of Buckhannon and Carla Reger and husband Bryan of Volga, WV; two sons, Randy Pierce of Rantoull, IL and Rodney Lantz of Buckhannon; also eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held in the South Fork Baptist Cemetery in Ritchie County, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Everett L. 'Dick' Leigh
Everett L. 'Dick' Leigh, age 83, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, September 25, 2009 at his home. He was born January 1, 1926 at Hemlock, WV, a son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Ethel Jane Zickefoose Leigh. On June 11, 1948 he married Zana Madeline Butcher who preceded him in death on April 25, 2005. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Jake and Ted Leigh. He is survived by two daughters, Judith Stoeckle and husband Duane of Buckhannon and Rose Lanham of Utah; four sons, Bob Leigh and wife Brenda of Weston, WV, Steve Leigh and wife Paula of Buckhannon, Nick Leigh and wife Betsy of Buckhannon and Jerry Leigh and wife Karen of Buckhannon; seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pete and Davis Leigh both of Warren, OH and a sister, Leota Tenney of Warren, OH. Mr. Leigh was a well tender and supervisor for Union Drilling. He was a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church at Hemlock. He was in the 42nd Calvary Reconnaissance Troops, Rainbow Division, US Army during WW II. He was an avid hunter; he loved his garden and was a hard worker. Friends will be received Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 4-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Monday at the Buckhannon Memorial Park. Joan M. Lane
Joan M. Lane, age 82, of Clinton, MD died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton. She was born February 16, 1927 in Erie, WV a daughter of the late Russell and Luceil Jones Quickle. On March 08, 1943 she married Stephen E. Lane who preceded her in death on November 22, 1994. Mrs. Lane is survived by one son Stephen M. Lane and wife Patricia of Clinton; one grandson, Robert Lane and wife JNell of Norman, OK; one great granddaughter, Ryleah Lane of Norman; one Nephew Anthony Herbin and wife Sydnea of Springfield, MA; one great nephew London Herbin of Springfield. Mrs. Lane was the former owner and operator of Lane's TV and Appliance Center of Keyser, WV and a member of the Adrian United Methodist Church. Friends will be received 4-8 PM on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the funeral home with Dr. Joseph M. Shreve officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hinkleville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Charles Leo Lantz
Charles Leo Lantz, age 66, of Ellamore, WV died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. He was born January 20, 1944 in Keppletown, WV, a son of the late George Delworth and Nellie Davis Lantz. On December 27, 1992 he married Margaret Ann Norman who survives. Also surviving are one son, Bryan Lantz and wife Melanie of Windham, OH; two daughters, Michelle Lantz of Tennessee and Kimberly Lantz of Elkins; one step daughter, Patricia Rose of French Creek, WV; eight grandsons, Ryan McCleary, Derik Lantz and wife Allison and Tyler Lantz all of Windham, Dylan Cole Tenney of Ellamore, Aiden Lantz, Gavin Leo Robey both of Elkins, Garrett Lane of Buckhannon and Xander Rose of French Creek; two granddaughters, Amber Nicole and Heather Dawn Lane both of Buckhannon; two great- granddaughters, Caly Lantz and Cailin McCleary both of Windham; three great-grandsons, Isaiah and Asa Lantz and Riley McCleary all of Windham; three brothers, Ronald Lantz and wife Mary of Ludlow, KY, Robert Lantz and wife Janet and Eugene Lantz all of Ellamore; five sisters, Regenia Tenney and husband Claude of Ellamore, Ilene Malcolm and husband Ronald of Volga, WV, Marlene Young and husband John, Ann Norman and husband Keith all of Ellamore and Remonia Zickefoose and husband Ted of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and dear friends, John and Alice Sheahan and Cyndi and Bob Mazzarella all of Ellamore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bradford Lantz; two sisters, Margie Kelly and Carolyn Helmick and friend, Kevin Johnstone. Mr. Lantz was a Christian by faith. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He drove for Mitchell Transport of Eastlake, OH for 25 years then after returning to Ellamore he worked for GNC. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, NASCAR and spending time with his family. Friends will be received Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher and the Rev. Terry Gower officiating. Burial will follow in the Talbott Community Cemetery at Talbott, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Imogene Marie Lemons
Imogene Marie Lemons, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, WV. She was born February 20, 1931 in Webster Springs, WV, a daughter of the late Cecil B. and Edith Ramsey McTheny. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Moore. She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Stuart and husband Cecil of Philippi; one son, Terry Lemons of Randleman, NC; two granddaughters, Tonya Mitchell and husband Brad of Bridgeport, WV and Tracie Corder and husband L.G. of Morgantown, WV; one great-grandson, Isaac Mitchell of Bridgeport; one sister, Linda Bradshaw of Portland, OR; one brother, William McTheny of San Benito, TX and her companion, Carrol Crites of Buckhannon. Mrs. Lemons was the Assistant Manager at Ames. She attended the First Baptist Church of Buckhannon. Friends will be received Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Quiet Dell, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

William A. Miller
William A. Miller, age 83, of Fort Pierce, FL died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at his home. He was born April 24, 1924 in Cincinnati, OH. On March 31, 1973 he married Betty Sue Miller who preceded him in death on July 20, 2001. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia K. Fogelson and Catherine Jeanne McDaniels. He is survived by two step sons, Robert Reger of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Steve Reger of Cincinnati, OH; one step daughter, Catherine (Reger) Miller of Cincinnati; one son-in-law, Dave Fogelson of Cincinnati; one sister, Jean Kotchi of Tavernier, FL and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Miller was an Elder and on the board at the Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Ft. Pierce. Also he took care of the gardens and playground for the church and daycare center, they helped light up his life. Friends will be received Friday, July 27, 2007 from 10-11 AM at the Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held in Salem, WV at 12:15 PM Friday at Odd Fellows Memorial Park with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your local Hospice Fund. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Lee Mills
Robert Lee Mills, age 96, of Buckhannon, WV died Monday, December 17, 2007 at his home. He was born May 8, 1911 in Lewis County, WV, a son of the late Thomas Hershel and Hettie Ethel Wilt Mills. In 1930 he married Ocie Brenice Hibbs who preceded him in death on March 30, 1996. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Charles E. and Arthur G. Mills; one daughter, Nancy Lee Mills and three brothers, Fred Giles, William Corbet and Thomas Howard Mills. He is survived by two sons, Cleston M. Mills of Buckhannon and William R. Mills and wife Louetta of Hartville, OH; six daughters, Alta Wren Zirkle and husband Mendel of Buckhannon, Gladys Ruth Grubb of Buckhannon, Hettie Ellen Hall of Akron, OH, Dora L. Parkhill of Buckhannon, Dorothy D. Harper and husband Darryl of Louisville, OH and Wrickey M. Barnett of Akron; caregiver, Peggy DeBarr of Buckhannon; twenty-four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Mills was a railroader for B & O Railroad and a meat cutter and a Baptist By Faith. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Pamela Kay Morris
Pamela Kay Morris, age 52 of Buckhannon, WV formerly of Long Beach, CA went to heaven Saturday, December 29, 2007 after a short battle with cancer at her home in Hodgesville. Pam was under the care of Peoples Hospice and close family. She was born August 7, 1955 in Clarksburg WV a daughter of the late Charles L. Morris and Nancy B. Laughlin. She is survived by one sister, Lois Jean Harris and husband Carrol of Ellamore, WV; three brothers, James Morris and wife Mary of Clarksburg, Keith Morris of Dolla, WV and Jon Laughlin and wife Elizabeth of Stealey, WV; 6 nieces and 3 nephews, one great niece and 6 great nephews, one aunt and two uncles, special niece an nephew Tristen Harris and Hank Rizer, also surviving are her extended family and friends in California, and special friends Jeff and Joy Steerman and family and Kenney Jester; special thanks to Dr. Johnny Smith, the Cancer Treatment Center, Maurine Blake and everyone at hospice, Kim, Jerry and Mycle. Pam was employed by Circle K in Anaheim, CA and was a Baptist by faith. Her wonderful personality touched everyone and she was loved by all. At the request of Pam her body will be cremated. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Edna Mae Morrison
Edna Mae Morrison, age 77, of Cranberry Township, PA and formerly of Freedom, PA and Lakeland, FL died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township. She was born October 27, 1930 in Brownton, WV, a daughter of the late Elias and Ina Kettle Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Onal Dewey Morrison in 2005. She is survived by three sons, Dennis D. Morrison and wife Christina of Lakeland, Willis O. Morrison of Monaca, PA and Shawn P. Morrison and wife Anna of Mulberry, FL; three daughters, Gloria E. Hostetler and husband James of Rochester, PA, Kathy L. Gagianas and husband Manuel of Baden, PA and Shari D. Marinkovic and husband David of New Brighton, PA; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one brother, Elias Hill, Jr. of New York. She was a housewife. She was a Protestant by Faith and touched many lives in her spiritual ministry at the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center from 1984 to 1988. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clinton Elliott and the Rev. Patty Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morrison Family Reunion, c/o Iva Waugh, Rt. 9 Box 289, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Lou Vale Miller
Lou Vale Miller, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, February 22, 2008 at her home. She was born February 14, 1927 in Alexander, WV, a daughter of the late James Bradley and Olga Kent Brooks Tenney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Hardman and one brother, James Bradley Tenney. She is survived by two sons, Homer Rohr of Buckhannon and Michael Rohr and wife Cindi of Dothan, AL; one daughter, Linda Marteney of Buckhannon and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was an art designer for Moore Business Forms. She was a 50-year member of the Ladies of the Moose. Funeral services were held 11 AM Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Damon Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
