Marjorie V. Mills
Marjorie V. Mills, 80 of Lakeland, FL died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at her home due to heart failure. She was born November 6, 1927 in Kitzmiller, Maryland to George and Luela (Warner) Kinkaed and moved to Lakeland in 1981 from Ohio. She was a member of Family Worship Center in Lakeland. Marjorie was united in marriage on July 29, 1945 in Kitzmiller to Claude Mills, who resides in Lakeland. She is also survived by her son, Gary Mills and wife Debbie of Maryville, TN; daughters, Mary Mills of Highland City, FL, Nancy Irvin of Lakeland and Betty Erkkila of Perry, OH; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great-grandson also survive. Marjorie is preceded in death by her daughter, Rosie Marie Mills; a brother, Maurice Kinkaed; two sisters, Ruth Cappadona and Nellie Kinkaed; and a son-in-law, David Erkkila. Friends will be received Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 6-8 pm at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home of Buckhannon, WV where funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday. Burial will take place in Bailey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 1525 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33805. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marie Murphy
Marie Murphy, age 84, of Ambridge, PA died Friday, March 21, 2008 in Ambridge. She was born April 17, 1923 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Hoy and Wilda Gillum Wilfong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel A. Murphy; one son, Thomas Murphy; one brother, James Wilfong; three sisters, Arnetta Chance, Maxine Wilfong and Irene Wilfong; son in law, Eugene Jones and one granddaughter, Laura Jones. She is survived by three daughters, Dotty Mixter and husband Dale of Ambridge, PA, Sharon Jones of Aliquippa, PA and Sheila Drevna and husband Dennis of Chippewa, PA; six sisters, Madeline Barrett and husband James of Mauk, GA, Loverna Campbell and husband Benny of Stonewood, WV, Annetta Powers and husband Jake of Chidester, AR, Josephine Smith of French Creek, WV, Jean Corbin of WV and Linda Wilfong of Chidester; two brothers, Charles Wilfong of Rock Cave, WV and Hoy Wilfong, Jr., of French Creek; sister in law, Valeria Wilfong of New Brighton, PA; brother in law, Andy Chance of Troy, AL; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends. Friends will be received Friday, March 28, 2008 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery at Kanawha Head, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Verlie V. Mooring
Loving Wife, Mother and Maw Maw, Verlie V. Mooring, age 62, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV. She was born July 18, 1945 in Wayne, WV, a daughter of the late Enoch and Eloise Ferguson Moore. On June 15, 1963 she married Rev. William F. Mooring who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Ann Tenney and husband Randy of Buckhannon and Karen Cochran and husband Jeff of Buckhannon; adopted daughter, Wendy Woofter and husband Dave of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Scott Cochran of Buckhannon, Jonathan Cochran of Buckhannon and Howie Dean and wife MaRanda of Kenton, OH; seven granddaughters, Bethaney Cochran, Brittney Tenney, Kaitlyn Tenney, Larissa Tenney, Brianna Woofter, Stephanie Woofter and Andrea Woofter all of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Elijah Dean of Kenton, OH; three brothers, Winston Moore of Buckhannon, Rush Moore and Alfred Moore both of Wayne, WV; one sister, Bertha Cline of Wayne and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, William Frank Mooring, II; one grandson, Jeffrey Cochran, II and two brothers, William and Roy Moore. She was the Pastors wife and mother of New Life Tabernacle in Buckhannon for 30 years and also Sunday School Superintendent and fund raising coordinator. She was the retired owner and operator of Mooring Personal Care Home. She ministered in West Virginia and on missionary trips in South America, United Kingdom and Africa. She was the Yard Sale Queen Extraodinaire and an avid shopper. She enjoyed shopping, yard sales, family gatherings, bowling, swimming and all church activitives. The love of her life was her husband, family and church. Friends will be received Friday, April 11, 2008 from 2-9 PM at the New Life Tabernacle. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday at the church with the Rev. Edwin Harper and Rev. L. Daniel Garlitz officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Henry L. 'Tater Bug' Moran, Jr.
Henry L. 'Tater Bug' Moran, Jr., age 80, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his home. He was born on September 23, 1927 in Century, WV a son of the late Henry Moran, Sr. and Gertrude Smith Moran. He married Joyetta Black on July 21, 1951 who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Antoinette Maxson and husband Jeff of Volga, WV; three brothers Jack Moran of Century, Tom Moran of Philippi, WV, and Harry Moran of VA; and special niece Jacqueline Haddix of Volga. Mr. Moran was a coal miner for Beth Energy, and attended Way of Holiness Church. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge #7 AF&AM, Scottish Rite of Clarksburg, a 32 Degree Mason, and a member UMWA Local #4172 District #31. Friends will be received Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery in Philippi. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Nellie Frances Gaston Morgan
Nellie Frances Gaston Morgan, age 98, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, May 16, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born January 10, 1910, a daughter of the late Edward Franklin and Rebecca Anna Clark Mayo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Howard Loman Gaston whom she married on October 31, 1947 and second husband Ralph Morgan whom she married October 12, 1979; two stepsons, John Richard Jack Morgan and Robert Howard Morgan; one brother, Charles Hayes Mayo and a special relative, Walter Fox. She will be very much missed by a step daughter, Jean Weck and husband Roger of NJ; a step daughter in law, Jean Morgan of VA; five step grandsons, Corbin and Camden Weck and Mark, Matthew and Jonathan Morgan; several step great-grandchildren; a special relation, Dottie Fox of Belle, WV; sister in law, Virginia Gaston Gemill of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and by special friends and caregivers. Mrs. Morgan was a Draftsman for Dean Engineering and was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She was a civilian worker for the Air Force at Wright Field and Kingsman Army Air Base as a Rosey the Riveter and was a member of the DAR and Rebekah Lodge of Pickens, WV. She was in the first graduating class of Pickens High School and a member of the College Club of WVWC. Friends will be received Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Stackpole officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ian Christopher Mick
Ian Christopher Mick, age 44, of Buckhannon, WV died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his home. He was born August 7, 1963 in Ronceverte, WV, a son of Rev. Billee Scott Mick and Oleta Teets Mick both of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kelli Ann Gould Mick; three brothers, Evangelist, John Scott Mick of Elkview, WV, Michael Erin Mick of Tucson, AZ and Navy CPO, Kevin Patrick Mick of Horsham, PA; one sister, Billie Sharleen Ulm of Liverpool, NY; father in law and mother in law, Roger and Janie Gould of Buckhannon; several nieces and nephews and his dog, Brandi. Chris is loved and will be missed by all. He was the owner and operator for ICM Satellite Systems. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 6-9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Damon Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Freda Ilene Moore
Freda Ilene Moore, age 69, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born July 20, 1939 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Hollen Kitchen. She is survived by her husband, Robert Moore; two daughters, Mary Ann Endsley of Wheeling, WV and Dollie ODell of Buckhannon; one son, Charles Wamsley of Bridgeport, OH; one brother, George Kitchen of Edinburg, VA and one sister, Violet McCardle of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Logsdon; one brother, Edgar Kitchen and two sisters, Nellie Kitchen and Virginia Frazer. Freda was a homemaker. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 1-2 PM the funeral hour with Rev. Wease Day officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made toward the funeral expenses. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Delma Miller
Delma Miller, age 84, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. She was born March 2, 1925 in Birch River, WV, a daughter of the late Dow and Viola Collins George. On May 4, 1951 she married Virgil Anderson Miller who preceded her in death on November 12, 1994. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Kermit Ray Miller; one daughter, Brenda Kay Baughman; eight brothers and sisters and two daughters-in-law, Anna Loraine Miller and Sherri Miller. She is survived by two sons, Don Miller of Buckhannon and Stephen Allen Miller and wife Elaine of Aurora, WV; three daughters, Mary Ellen Wagoner and husband Randy of Buckhannon, Beverly Anne Huffman and husband Homer Huffman, Jr. of Aurora and Irene Marie Robinson and husband Mitchell of VA; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Eugene George of PA and one sister, Wilma Jenkins of Aurora. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. Friends will be received Friday, April 17, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery in Buckhannon. Boyd Virgil Miller
Boyd Virgil Miller, age 64, of Buckhannon, WV, died Saturday, May 16, 2009 at his home. He was born May 20, 1944 at Kelly Mountain, WV a son of the late Henry and Martha E. Shaw Miller. On June 28, 1968 he married Eloise Collins who preceded him in death on October 2, 2005. He is survived by his life long friends Ted and Connie Tenney of Ellamore, WV; one son, Brian Robert Miller and wife Jessica of Connecticut; two daughters, Angela Faye Miller of Elkins, WV and Tammy Lynn Miller of Florida; three grandsons, Andrew Miller, James Miller and Trystan McFarlon; five granddaughters, Briana Miller, Miranda McFarlon, Cynthia Williams, Gaberella Miller and Santanna Walford; one great granddaughter; one brother, Jerry R. Miller and wife Connie of Valley Bend, WV; four sisters, Betty Pritt and husband Ervin of Ohio, Margaret Brooks and husband Phil of Valley Bend, Evelyn Isenhart of Akron, Ohio and Marylin Posey of Mill Creek, WV; two brothers in law, Roger Collins of Elkins and Harry Lambert of Mabie, WV; two sisters in law, Esther Shannon and Eula Smith both of Elkins and his father in law, Archie Collins of Elkins. Mr. Miller was a Coal Miner for Beth Energy. He was a Methodist by faith, enjoyed gardening, raising roses and fishing. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Mt. State Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Herman D. Jones officiating. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Claude Mills
Claude Mills, age 83, of Lakeland FL and formerly of Painesville, OH died on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield, OH. He was born June 9, 1926 in Wendall, WV, a son of the late William Claude and Marie Ethel Goodwin Mills. On July 29, 1945 he married Marjorie Kinkaed Mills who preceded him in death on March 11, 2008. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosie Marie Mills; son in law, David Erkkila; two brothers, Kenneth and Leroy Mills and three sisters, Georgia Butts, JoAnna Poling and Alberta Reid. He is survived by one son, Gary Mills and wife Debbie of Maryville, TN; three daughters, Nancy Irvin, Mary Mills both of Lakeland, FL and Betty Erkkila of Perry, OH; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson and three brothers, Charles Mills and wife Eileen of Saybrook, OH, Norman Mills and wife Karen of Bridgeport, WV and Arthur Mills and wife Dorothy of Dayton, OH. Mr. Mills was retired as a laborer in the Coke Plant for the former Diamond-Shamrock Corp. in Painesville. He was a member of the Family Worship Center in Lakeland and enjoyed walking and yard work. Friends will be received Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Oral William 'Buck' Miller
Oral William 'Buck' Miller, age 87, of Rt. 4 Box 489 Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at his home while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice. He was born January 4, 1922 in Lumberport, WV, a son of the late Clarence Lincoln and Daisy Campbell Miller. On April 30, 1948 he married Beatrice Jane Winans who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Steven (Rena) Post of Martinsburg, WV, Mrs. Greg (Patty) Replogle of Buckhannon and Mrs. Cam (Janie) Aguiar of Buckhannon; two sons, Dennis Miller and wife Janice of Buckhannon and Lynn Miller and wife Susie of Buckhannon; three grandsons, David Miller, Bill and Jody Walter; six granddaughters, Crystal Riggleman, Holly Gregory, Brandy Burr, Beatrice Simmons, Lindsay Weaver and Summer Aguiar; one sister, Audra Roaberta Wyatt of Beaver, WV and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Neil and Daniel Miller; one grandson, Steven Chip Post, II and two sisters, Thelma Harrison and Anna Geraldine Miller. Mr. Miller worked in the Maintenance Dept. for Corhart Refactories. He was baptized July 10, 2002 in the Church of Christ. He served in the CC Corp. then served in the US Army 198th Field Artillery Battalion in the Islands of the South Pacific during WW II. He was a member of the Kesling Mill Lions Club, Buckhannon VFW Post # 3663, and the Lazy Boys Bluegrass Gospel Band and was a very gifted musician. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 10 AM until 11 AM the funeral hour with Minister Mike Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Kesling Cemetery at Kesling Mill, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
